The father of Karmelo Anthony, a 17-year-old high schooler from Frisco, Texas, is making some pretty big accusations.

The father of the teenager is standing by his son as he stands accused of stabbing a footballer from a rival school at a track event.

Austin Metcalf tragically passed away following an altercation at the high school meet at Frisco Independent School District’s athletics stadium in Texas, police said.

Despite a desperate attempt to save his life, Austin di3d in his twin brother’s arms.

Karmelo Anthony, a student of Frisco Memorial High School, was charged with first-degree murder in connection to the killing and is being held in police custody with a $1 million bond.

Anthony’s dad, Andrew Anthony, spoke to the New York Post about his son’s actions, and he made it clear that it was Metcalf who was the aggressor.

“Everyone has already made their assumptions about my son, but he’s not what they’re making him out to be. He’s a good kid. He works two jobs. He’s an A student, has a 3.7 GPA.”

Andrew Anthony added that Karmelo had not started the violent incident.

“He was not the one who started it,” he added.

“I feel bad for the other parents and family, and words can’t explain how both [families] have been affected by this tragedy.”

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Arnette sought to retrieve his Mercedes G-Wagon SUV from the valet at the Park MGM resort, but he became upset when he was asked to produce his lost ticket.

“Give me my mother f–king keys!” he allegedly said before the valet worker revealed that he heard a gun cock, and looked up to see Arnette pointing a gun at him and demanding the keys to the car.

Police said surveillance footage from the casino showed that Damon Arnette “took a handgun that was concealed from his pants and placed it in the drivers side interior door.”

After checking out Shedeur Sanders at Colorado’s Pro Day, the Titans have decided to cancel an upcoming private workout with him. That’s significant!

It seems they’re feeling pretty confident about their choice to go with Miami quarterback Cam Ward as their top pick.

What does this mean for the New York Giants? Well, it opens the door for a real possibility that Sanders could still be available when they pick third overall. With Tennessee seemingly set on Ward, the only team left that might snatch up Sanders is the Cleveland Browns.

They have their own QB situation to figure out after bringing in Kenny Pickett and navigating some ups and downs with Deshaun Watson.

For Giants fans hoping to land a new quarterback, it’s all down to what the Browns decide. If they pass on Sanders, he could very well end up in East Rutherford.

Despite not playing a single snap in 2024, quarterback Zach Wilson managed to secure a pretty sweet gig in 2025 after signing a contract with the Miami Dolphins. That could mean a wedding with his fiancee Nicolette in one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

Two seasons ago Wilson was getting benched multiple times as he struggled in his third year with the New York Jets. So when he was finally able to get traded to the Denver Broncos, it was probably a massive weight off of his shoulders.

Even though the Denver Broncos didn’t need his services in 2024, he still had the time of his life in his new surroundings and decided to pop the question to Nicolette Dellanno. She said yes, and the two have been fiancees ever since.

Dellanno certainly ranks among the most popular wives and girlfriends (WAGs) outside of the Kansas City Chiefs. She has over 68,000 followers and you’ll be hard-pressed to find any posts of hers that aren’t liked by thousands.

Her most recent post on Instagram was a real head turner as she enjoyed some fun in the Hawaiian sun with Wilson and her friend Bailey. Dellanno wore a gorgeous floral dress that really stood out:

Nicolette and Wilson have been having all kinds of fun since the season ended. They’ve been traveling and sharing photos from Mexico and Hawaii throughout the NFL offseason.

Wilson is going to be bringing home the bread in 2025 as he plays out the year on a one-year, $6 million deal with Miami. Though given that starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has played only one full 17-game season since 2021, there’s a good chance that Wilson will have to play again at some point in 2025.

When the time comes, Wilson should be ready. Though it remains to be seen if he’ll have any growth to show for it.

As it stands, he ranks as one of the worst quarterbacks of the 2020s. He’s completed only 57-percent of his career passes and has 23 touchdowns against 25 interceptions.

Suffice it to say, he’s got a lot of growth left to do.

Shannon Sharpe has made his feelings on the Steve Smith saga clear following the weekend’s surprising events.

Smith, one of the best wide receivers in NFL history, was exposed for carrying on an affair with someone’s wife on Saturday, with the scorned husband sharing screenshots of conversations between the former wideout and his wife and even calling Smith to confront him.

The man, an X user by the name of Tony Martinez, revealed his wife Nicole is a member of the Ravens marching band and met Smith while he was with the team.

Sharpe and ‘Nightcap’ co-host Chad Johnson discussed the juicy topic on said show this Sunday, with the former NFL tight end delivering the cold, hard truth as he pointed out that the individual should have taken it up with his wife.

“I’ve known Smitty 20 years. He was just at my party at the Super Bowl, had a great conversation with him. I love the guy. Hard nosed, the way he plays, X, Y and Z. But bro, you need to take that up with your wife. Smitty owes you no loyalty,” he said.

“I don’t know the gentleman’s name but this a situation you have to take up with your wife.”

The woman in question has since broken her silence on social media, noting her husband stood by her after two arrests for domestic violence and bought her a house, and then added that she repaid him by being unfaithful.

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

 

 

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
