1. Reba McEntire’s first visit to the Grand Ole Opry was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

McEntire grew up in a musical household, which is why she was so excited to visit the Grand Ole Opry for the first time. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as well as she hoped, since McEntire wasn’t feeling well the day of the now infamous visit.

“When I was seven years old, we had come down to Nashville and we were gonna go to the Grand Ole Opry,” McEntire recalls (via The Boot). “All of us got sick. I wound up vomiting on the very front steps of the Grand Ole Opry. A gentleman walked over and handed me his napkin. I wiped my mouth off and handed [the napkin] back to him. He said, ‘You keep it!’ So, the Ryman Auditorium is very special to me.”

2. Reba McEntire has a degree in elementary education.

McEntire graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1976, with a degree in elementary education. Fortunately for country music fans, her love of music won out. McEntire minored in music, but was discovered by Red Steagall while singing the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma. Her first single, “I Don’t Want To Be A One Night Stand,” came out the same year that she graduated from college.

3. Reba McEntire was almost in the movie, Titanic.

McEntire could have been in the blockbuster Titanic film instead of Kathy Bates. By the time Titanic was filming, McEntire had already appeared in several movies. But she ultimately turned it down, for one very important reason.

“We were on tour and I had a lot of people on the payroll,” McEntire remembers (via Entertainment Weekly). “We had these three months already scheduled to do the movie, and then they got behind on scheduling and said ‘We’ll have to move it to this time.’ So we couldn’t reschedule all the arenas and everything.”

4. Reba McEntire’s “Does He Love You” duet almost had another singer besides Linda Davis.

McEntire had a big, big hit in 1993 with “Does He Love You,” her duet with Linda Davis. Davis was singing in McEntire’s band at the time, and recorded the demo, with the intention of the song being pitched to a bigger, more-established artist. But McEntire liked how Davis sounded on the song so much that she decided to keep her on the track.

McEntire fulfilled a big dream in 2021, when she recorded the song again, this time with Parton. McEntire says being able to sing with Parton is a “dream come true.”

Watching American Idol and singing songs with her sister was something that contestant Samantha Ray had been doing since she was a very young girl. So singing in front of Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Carrie Underwood was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.

“I’ve been singing since I was little watching this show with my sister,” said the 22-year-old stay-at-home mom from Ila, GA. “Growing up was awesome because I had somebody to sing with. She was my music partner. I would sing songs; she would sing songs; or we would sing songs together and do harmonies. Me and her both loved Carrie Underwood, so impressing her is the top of the line for me.”

For her shot at a Golden Ticket to Hollywood, Samantha chose “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.

“What were you thinking about when you sang that?” Luke asked.

“I was thinking about my sister a lot,” Samantha said. “Earlier this year, in February, I lost her to a drug overdose. Losing her hurt so much. She’s a year younger than me and we were very close. She had two little boys and knowing they don’t have their mom anymore is really heartbreaking. So, I’m here for her.”

“You did a great job,” Luke told her. “What do you think Carrie?”

When Carrie was too choked up to answer immediately, Luke asked, “Should I go to Lionel?”

Carrie said, “I’m teary-eyed. It goes right to me.”

While Carrie tried to collect herself, Lionel said, “From the first note, I was trying to compose myself because every once in a while, we just run across some people who have the absolute trigger on emotions. You did it perfectly.”

Carrie finally was able to talk, and said, “We didn’t know what you were thinking about, but we knew you were thinking about something, and that’s being a storyteller. That pulls people in. That was very special.”

Luke added, “It’s nice to hear somebody sing a classic like that, but you did it your own way. You didn’t overthink it. It felt very listenable. It’s a yes for me.”

And, of course, Samantha also got yeses from Lionel and Carrie, sending her to Hollywood.

“Winning would mean absolutely everything to me,” Samantha said. “This is my dream. I love this show.”

The country singer has been the genre’s heartthrob even before his steamy “Worst Way” music video. And it seems that he doesn’t even have to try to get his fans a little flustered.

In what appears to be a writing session with Riley Green, Erik Dylan, and Wyatt McCubbin, the artists thought to engage in a little horseplay. Donning McCubbin’s glasses, Green turns into a high school coach, and delivers a pretty good impression.

Erik Dylan recorded the hilarious scene and uploaded it to his TikTok. Sporting a grey tracksuit, a cap, and those glasses, he really looks as though he was plucked straight from a game. Playing into the bit, Dylan asked, “Hey coach, what are we going to do today?”

He was already in character.

“You boys are livin’ in Puddinville, that’s your problem. You get down there to the other end of the weight room and you wait until the other coach is lookin’ to do your damn sets,” he said in his best coach voice.

After leaning in to McCubbin, he said, “And you’re missin’ sets. You’re missin’ sets.”

Last week, it was revealed that the Fever, led by the 2024 Rookie of the Year Clark, would have 41 of their 44 games this campaign televised or made available through streaming.

It’s the biggest national-audience slate in history, as the New York Liberty, last year’s champions, have only 32 nationally televised or streamed games.

Minnesota Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier, whose team lost to the Liberty in the championship round, called out the league for not putting the spotlight on WNBA’s other stars.

“Obviously, people want to watch Caitlin play, and you have to put the people on TV that people want to see. But at the same time, there are stars all over the league, and you want good basketball as well,” Collier said on Tuesday’s First Take.

“Obviously, Indiana with their free agents will be a great team, but to not have the defending champs on TV more, I think it’s kind of crazy.

“It doesn’t have to be that you’re taking games away from Indiana but I think that you can raise the level of TV games for the rest of the league as well.”

Collier, who’s the co-founder of the new league Unrivaled, did admit that Clark and her stardom deserves plenty of exposure.

But the four-time All-Star wondered why the rest of the league couldn’t get the same acknowledgment.

“I do think Caitlin is a star,” Collier said. “Like I said, people do want to see her. We are in a position where we’re trying to grow the league, you need to out on TV the players that people want to see.

“But I don’t think that’s raising the level of the other teams has to bring down Caitlin or the Indiana Fever.

“They should have that amount of games on TV on prime time but I also think other teams should have more than what they have.”

The 2024 WNBA Finals between the Liberty and Lynx became the most-watched finals in 25 years.

However, Clark’s popularity was apparent.

Six different league television networks received viewership records for their highest WNBA game, with all involving the 2024 No. 1 overall pick and the Fever, per The Athletic.

This season, the league has expanded its broadcast slate.

Numerous teams have changed their upcoming games from the normal home arenas to bigger capacity venues versus the Fever.

Clark hasn’t commented on Collier’s latest comments.

The NCAA leading scorer Clark and the Fever will take on Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky with their season opener on April 17.

On Wednesday, Carrie Underwood’s Las Vegas swan song will begin as she kicks off the final leg of her Resorts World residency, which began in December 2021, making her the first artist to play at Resorts World Theatre, something she calls a “special honor.”

Once the American Idol judge takes the stage for the last time on April 12, she will have performed her Reflection residency 72 times.

“I have always loved touring, but having the chance to play for an extended period of time in one place has really been satisfying — I love that we get to do this show for people who have come to Las Vegas from all over the world,” she told PEOPLE exclusively.

The show has been a hit from its first note, too. For over three years, Reflection has embodied all things Vegas, as it featured sequins, pyro, mirrors, fashion and huge set pieces that may not ever be seen on tour.

“We always like to bring big production values to our show, but Reflection really allowed us to take that to a new level,” the eight-time Grammy winner, 42, said. “We have some amazing set pieces that we could never pack onto trucks and move from city to city every night, and it’s been really fun adding more elements like the aerialists and dancers, which we don’t usually have in the show.”

In Reflection, Underwood sets fire to a Jeep during “Before He Cheats,” and she hovers above the stage on a platform while getting drenched during “Something In the Water.” “We really had to bring the spectacle and the drama — it’s Vegas, baby!” she said.

Undoubtedly crowd pleasers, Underwood’s favorite moment of the show comes during “All-American Girl” when she brings a bachelorette up on stage to duet. The moment, she said, “reflects back on a time early in my career when this song came out when we used to have a little girl come up on stage and sing with me each night.”

“It’s so fun to be part of someone’s special night,” Underwood continued, “but my favorite was when my mom came to see the show, and I brought her out to sing it with me. She brought the house down!”

While the country superstar leaned into Las Vegas on stage, she mainly stayed low-key off stage, typically renting a home in town and avoiding the city’s trappings — with the exception of one holiday weekend involving rapper Ludacris, who was performing at a nearby nightclub. That evening marked the “most Vegas” thing she did during her residency run.

“After my show, a bunch of us, including a lot of my band and team, went out to see him perform there that night as he went on around 1 a.m.,” she recalled. “It was a pretty late night, and we all had an amazing time!”

But during her first judging stint, Carrie was brought to tears when Breanna Nix performed one of her hits.

Breanna, 25, appeared on the show when she walked into the audition room with her young son Emerson.

Emerson sat on Carrie’s lap while stay-at-home mom Breanna performed with her husband Austin, who played the piano.

Breanna spoke about her weight loss journey ahead of her performance, with her keen to let her son know that chasing dreams can pay off.

The blond beauty then performed Carrie’s song, Jesus, Take The Wheel, as Emerson sat on the new judge’s lap and they watched Breanna croon the emotional song.

As Breanna sang, Carrie could be seen getting emotional as Emerson fell asleep due to his mom’s soothing vocals.

Carrie then sniffled as she teared up, saying: “I’m sorry, he’s just so adorable and sweet.”

Breaking her silence about the emotional moment she had on the show, Carrie said on X: “I had a hard time going back and forth between talking to Emerson and the adults.

“Sorry you got the baby talk @breannanixmusic ! What a great audition!!! Such a beautiful family!”

Carrie was making her first appearance on the show after replacing singer Katy Perry on the judging panel.

Paige Bueckers has become one of the most talked-about names ahead of the 2025 WNBA Draft, but her destination may not be as certain as it once seemed.

Despite widespread predictions placing her as the No. 1 overall pick to the Dallas Wings, fresh rumors suggest the UConn star might have her sights set elsewhere-most notably, the Los Angeles Sparks.

Dallas Wings general manager Curt Miller has made it clear he wants Bueckers in a Wings uniform.

“How about them apples for the No. 1 pick?” Miller recently said, signaling his confidence in drafting the 23-year-old sensation.

The Wings secured the top pick back in November 2024, and Bueckers‘ consistent dominance on the college stage has only fueled assumptions that she’s destined to land in Dallas. But as draft night draws near, that assumption is beginning to unravel.

Conflicting signals as draft day looms

In a recent episode of the Locked On: Women’s Basketball podcast, host Howard Megdal raised eyebrows by questioning the certainty of Bueckers‘ commitment to the Wings.

“By virtue of the circumstances, [Bueckers] has so many other options … is she going to want to sign in Dallas?” Megdal mused.

His comments point to a growing sense that Bueckers may not be fully sold on the idea of joining the Texas-based franchise, despite Miller‘s public optimism.

Adding to the intrigue, Megdal suggested that Miller‘s actions behind the scenes may tell a different story than his public statements.

“Miller would not be sending messages to Paige on introductory Zooms for four other players,” he noted.

That detail implies that Dallas may be quietly preparing alternatives if Bueckers opts to steer her career in another direction.

Even so, Curt Miller has continued to project a unified message of certainty. In an interview with The Dallas Morning News, he insisted that there has been no indication of resistance from Bueckers or any top-tier prospect.

“We have not heard anything directly that any person eligible for this draft would not want to play in Dallas,” Miller said. “In fact, Arike hears from most of the top possible draft picks in this class, and they’re all really, really excited about possibly pairing with Arike.”

Hanna Cavinder is getting back out there amid the nasty breakup rumors and drama with Carson Beck.

Amid rumors and speculation of a high-profile breakup between the influencer, Miami Hurricanes basketball star, and new Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck, it seems like Hanna is doing just fine.

Rockstar has built a rich world of criminals, lunatics, and thieves spanning from Liberty City to San Andreas and beyond. With GTA 6 on the horizon, fans have become ecstatic after seeing a picture of Lucia.

For those unaware, she is a female criminal in the game. Grand Theft Auto states that she did her time at a prison complex in the State of Leonida in the mid-2020s for an unknown crime.

As anticipation builds for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, a picture shows Lucia stripped down to a two-piece bikini.

Fans Have Waited A Long Time For Grand Theft Auto To Release New Game

After more than a decade of waiting, Grand Theft Auto VI is supposedly finally set to come out in 2025.

Despite their hopes for a release this year fading, the community remains engaged in hopes that a second trailer will be released in early 2025 and a release date of the actual game will come out.
