WNBA stars Angel Reese and DiJonai Carrington do not appreciate comments from fans about their looks.

Reese completed her rookie season with the Chicago Sky after being drafted No. 7 overall out of LSU. Carrington, meanwhile, is heading into her first season with the Dallas Wings after a trade from the Connecticut Sun.

Both players have participated in 3-on-3 Unrivaled basketball this season, with Reese representing Rose BC and Carrington featuring for Mist BC.

They recently linked up for an episode of the former’s podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel,’ during which they discussed the criticism they were subjected to last season.

“It’s hard, especially as two black women are unapologetic, we’re going to pop our s**t and say what we have to say. And I stand on what we said. I feel like it’s really hard,” Reese said.

“They be real loose at the mouth,” Carrington claimed. “I know they think it’s trolls, but it’s not just trolls. It be people that we see in real life.”

 

Reese would add that fan comments on her appearance upset her.

“I hate when people say that, ‘Oh she’s too worried about her makeup and her hair and her lashes and her nails and her outfits,’” Reese said.

Carrington said she isn’t all that bothered but “hates” it when people take issue with her blonde hair.

“I hate when people talk about that, like, ‘Why do you have blonde hair?’” she said. “I got black eyebrows. I got black arm hair, black leg hair … and I don’t care. I’m still a natural blonde.”

The former Tigers star suggested that players like her and Carrington receive criticism for putting too much effort into looking feminine, also knocking back the notion that the WNBA is mostly made up of lesbians who date each other.

“‘I’m not watching that WNBA. Masculine, long shorts, they’re wearing braids. They all like each other. They all date each other.’ That’s not true,” she said with a laugh, given that Carrington is actually dating WNBA player NaLyssa Smith.

The former NFL quarterback called Sunday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions and liked what he saw where Green Bay’s head coach was concerned as he waxed lyrical over the 45-year-old Michigan native.

“Look at that perfect little moustache, goatee that he’s got,” Brady said right before a third-and-three. “We can’t see his hair today. But I was so impressed when I saw him in the tunnel, such a handsome guy. he said he spends $100 a week to keep himself looking like that.”

Kevin Burkhardt, his booth partner, could only offer a “Wow.”

UFC ring girl Francia “Francety” James has the internet thirsting over some of her newest posts after taking them to Instagram over the weekend.

The Colombian looks to be in amazing shape, so much so, she could probably hold her own in the octagon. And, with UFC 313 having gone down on Saturday night, she shared some snaps to said platform to mark the event.

Francety has built a remarkable following online and boasts 11.7 million followers, which means a great many people know how fit she is. But others who were unfamiliar with her before Saturday night may have been shocked to learn that she’s a ring girl and not one of the combatants after she posted several snaps to IG on the night, showing off her ripped torso, plus a bit more.

It appears Francia’s followers reckon she can throw down as they encouraged her to switch positions within UFC.

“I’d buy a ticket! Please tell them don’t touch your pretty face tho!”  someone commented.

Francety revealed having come up in rough conditions as she had to fight her way through poverty and bullying while growing up in her native Colombia.

The WWE’s women’s division could get even more stacked later this year with the potential return for one of the most prominent names of the modern era of WWE women’s wrestling.

Former two-time WWE Divas Champion and former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya appeared in an interview with TMZ Sports and revealed that her current contract with AEW is set to end in September, as she left the door wide open for a potential return to the WWE.

“I love WWE,” she said.

“I appreciate everybody there. They made me, they gave me my career and I’m just appreciative of that.

“One day, who knows? (But) I love my time in AEW, though.

“My contract’s up with AEW in September, so I don’t know! Maybe I’ll stay with them, maybe not. I don’t know!”

Wrestling under the ring name of Paige, Saraya became the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion before getting called up to the main roster and shocking the wrestling world by dethroning AJ Lee on her WWE Raw debut to become the youngest WWE Divas Champion in history at just 21 years of age.

She went on to enjoy two reigns as WWE Divas Champion before neck injuries restricted her in-ring appearances, leading to a short stint as general manager of SmackDown. She was also the subject of Fighting with My Family, the 2019 movie based on her life, with Florence Pugh portraying Saraya on screen.

Saraya announced her retirement from WWE in 2022 and later signed with AEW, where she returned to full in-ring action for the first time in five years and eventually became AEW Women’s Champion.

She explained that she left WWE on good terms, and was glowing in her praise of WWE’s recent switch to Netflix and the new look of WWE Raw.

“Amazing. I’m proud for anything that they’re doing,” she said.

“There’s no ill will between us. We kind of split amicably, too. It was just… I’m proud of them. They’re great!”

Another of the “Horsewomen” era of the WWE’s women’s division, Charlotte Flair, is all set to return to the WWE ring this weekend at the Royal Rumble.

Flair’s return, and the potential addition of Saraya, could give WWE the opportunity to create a 2025 version of the collective, with Flair and Saraya potentially able to team up with another rumored returnee, Becky Lynch, and Bayley.

Clearly, Saraya still has a lot of love for WWE. But despite everything she said in the quick-hit interview, it seemed less important than what it looked like she was trying really hard not to say.

And when asked if a reunion with the WWE could be in the future, a giggling Saraya had to check herself.

“Maybe, one day, yeah!” she laughed.

“I’m trying not to say anything. I don’t want to get in trouble!”

Liv Morgan has just enjoyed the best year of her career, and she’s embracing her heel character as she looks to take things to a new level in 2025.

Morgan’s 2024 saw her return from a six-month hiatus due to a shoulder injury as she embarked on her “Revenge Tour” and captured the Women’s World Title, as well as the Women’s Tag Team Titles, before sealing the first-ever women’s Crown Jewel title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It was a year that saw her hailed by many, including WWE commentator Michael Cole, as the WWE’s wrestler of the year last year.

And while she may currently be beltless heading into WWE Elimination Chamber on March 1, Morgan is happy to still be the baddest heel in the women’s division.

Chatting to Eric LeGrand on the A Cup of bELieve Podcast, Morgan spoke on a number of topics about life on the road, and her ascension from wannabe star to arguably the top female star in WWE today.

Morgan’s run has coincided with her turning up the villainy to 11 as she has become the biggest heel on the women’s roster, and as she explained, she’s loving every minute.

“I think I gravitate towards bad guys, maybe naturally,” she admitted.

“I just feel like there’s a reason for everything. There’s a reason for this behavior. There’s something misunderstood there that I kind of want to figure out. That’s my toxic trait, that’s my red flag.”

Morgan booked her spot in next month’s Elimination Chamber with a disqualification victory over IYO SKY last week on Monday Night Raw, as her big rival, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, attacked her during the match and getting SKY disqualified in the process.

Morgan’s maniacal laugh and wide grin showed just how much she’s leaning into her heel character, and she admitted that she’s thoroughly enjoying this iteration of character, and that she thrives on the boos.

“Oh yeah! It’s the best, it’s so funny!” she grinned.

“It’s such a different feeling than being cheered, being disliked.

“To get people riled up enough to where they want to voice their displeasure for you. That is such a funny feeling and I love it, I’m obsessed with it, and I want to see how much of it I can get.”
