GREATNEWS: A Place In The Sun’s Jasmine Harman makes a HEARTWARMING ANNOUNCEMENT that has fans excited

EXCLUSIVE: Channel 4 star Jasmine Harman says people make a huge assumption about her.

Jasmine Harman says people always ask her how many children she has due to viewers seeing her pregnant so frequently on screen. As one of the longest serving A Place In The Sun presenters to have joined the Channel 4 property show, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, way back in 2004, she had over 440 episodes under her belt. That’s approximately 1,770 house tours, which means she is on screens a lot, thanks to constant repeats of the show that run alongside her newer episodes.

This seems to confuse people as the 50-year-old star explained: “I worked throughout both of my pregnancies, and people very frequently ask me how many children I have as I ‘always seem to be pregnant,’ not realising that they are watching repeats!” she laughed. Despite what some quarters of the public may think Jasmine is a proud mum to just two children – 12-year-old Joy and 8-year-old Albion.

They are currently appearing alongside Jasmine and their dad cameraman Jon Boast, 46, in Jasmine’s Renovation In the Sun, which documents the family’s move to a run down villa sunny Spain which they renovated themselves.

The bubbly presenter admits it wasn’t always plain sailing mixing her family life with work. “Sometimes it was quite tough for the children, because if they had been at school and were tired and we wanted to film something…” she trails off.

“We did really fun things, which we wouldn’t have done otherwise, so that was great, but there were times when the filming slightly encroached on family life.”

Despite this, Jasmine appreciates that level of access was necessary for the show.  “That was the whole point of it, it was basically full access filming,” she says. “That’s what we were doing. We were documenting our family life.”

So did anyone in the family enjoy the experience? “The cat and the dog were very happy to be on camera,” she laughs. “Especially the cat! She was always present in the middle of everything. Just checking out her subjects.”

Explaining why she made the monumental decision to uproot her family and live in chaos while the work on the property was being done, she admitted it was the only way they could afford the lifestyle they wanted.

“My husband also wanted to live by the sea, so I said, ‘If we’re going to live by the coast, let’s move to the Mediterranean coast! I always knew that we were probably going to be biting off more than we could chew at some point,” she says. “It was definitely more stressful and more intense than I possibly imagined. At the same time, I always knew it was going to be full on.

“But then you are just haemorrhaging money and trying to get things done in time and working with all the usual delays you have with any kind of construction or this sort of job. There are always things that you discover along the line that make it harder or that make it take longer. Maybe my lack of renovation experience was a blessing in disguise, because maybe I wouldn’t have done it had I known,” she reflected.

Janet Street-Porter was left screaming for help after collapsing in a car park. The Loose Women panellist, 78, returned to the ITV show on Tuesday, just weeks after undergoing knee surgery. During her first show back, Janet admitted she suffered a mishap after a trip to the hairdressers. Welcoming her co-star back, Charlene said: “Before we start anything else, give a huge round of applause and a huge welcome back to Janet! Honestly, this morning, when we saw your gorgeous face this morning, it was like, ‘Oh it’s so lovely to have Janet back!’”

The presenter added: “For those that don’t know, you were away because you had a knee replacement. How have you been getting on?” Janet explained: “Well, I’m getting on fine but I had a little bit of a setback yesterday! I had the operation three weeks ago today so I’ve done really well, I was walking within two hours of coming back to my hospital bed, I managed to stagger to the loo unaided. So I did really well!”

Despite having physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, Janet admitted being back home has been a bit of a “struggle”.

She went on: “I went to the hairdressers and when I came back yesterday, I slipped backwards by the lift in the carpark so I’m lying, a bit like a beached whale, going, ‘help me, help me!’

“Luckily two people arrived and when they went to get me up I went, ‘Don’t touch the knee!’ But I’m alright, I’m on the road to recovery!”

It comes after Janet’s co-star Kaye Adams said she’s had “the most wretched five weeks” after being accused of bullying junior staff members at BBC Scotland.

Speaking on her How To Be 60 podcast with co-host Scot Karen MacKenzie, she said: “I was doing Loose Women last week on Friday, and then I was doing it on Monday.

    Kaye Adams

“And so Charlie, my eldest daughter, came down for the weekend, and so we had a nice…. I mean, do you know I’m not gonna say much but it’s been the most wretched five weeks, you know it really has.

“You know I’ve done a lot of soul searching. It’s been miserable, it’s been absolutely horrible. But I’m at a stage now that I think ‘do you know what, I know I’m not the person that I was painted as. I’m not perfect, never said I was, but I’m not the person I was painted as.

“And I thought ‘I cannot allow this to drag me down and rinse me of all joy, which it certainly has done. And I can’t allow it to do that to my family.”

She added: “I’m really close with the girls, and I’ve felt terrible because I haven’t been as available to them as I normally would be because I’m too wrapped up in my own bloody issues. And so yeah Charlie came down for the weekend and we just walked and walked and walked and walked.”

Jeremy Clarkson has issued a new announcement to fans of Clarkson’s Farm. Taking to Instagram, the TV star posted on the official Diddly Squat Farm Shop page and revealed a new update. He informed his followers that the bad weather has had an impact on Diddly Squat, meaning the overflow car park is shut and that “parking is extremely limited.” Storm Claudia unleashed heavy rain across large parts of the UK in the last 24 hours, including 70mph wind gusts and more than 120 flood alerts. Yesterday, 12-hour ‘danger to life’ amber warnings were imposed for parts of central England and South Wales, from noon until midnight.

It was also reported that a wider area of Wales, central and southern England, including London, was under a 24-hour yellow rain warning for up to 4 inches (100 mm) from 6 am yesterday until 6 am today.

Since 2021, Jeremy’s Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm has become a major success, documenting his life running Diddly Squat Farm with partner Lisa Hogan and co-star Kaleb Cooper, earning widespread acclaim and global viewership.

In other news, Jeremy was rushed to the hospital in October for “urgent treatment”.

The former Top Gear host revealed he became very “poorly” on October 5, and he headed to an NHS hospital because the nearest private doctor was two hours away in London, with the TV presenter explaining he underwent a treatment which was “Defcon 1 painful” and was then “forced to stay the night”.

In his column for The Sunday Times newspaper, Clarkson explained he felt bad about his hospital trip because it came just hours after he criticised the NHS in his previous offering for the publication.

He wrote: “Last weekend, my column in this newspaper was about how all the fun in our lives, and most of the money, was being sucked into the bottomless abyss that is the NHS. I said it was a creaking monster, past its sell-by date…

“And then, nine hours after that piece appeared on the nation’s kitchen tables, I needed to go to hospital in something of a hurry. Oh s***.

“I’m not going to tell you what was wrong, because that’s none of your business.”

Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Prime Video.

HEARTBREAKING: I’m A Celeb’s Martin Kemp SHARES daily struggles on the farm after battle with brain tumour

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Martin Kemp bravely discussed his brain tumour ordeal during Wednesday’s episode.

The Spandau Ballet icon, 64, received the devastating diagnosis of two brain tumours back in the 1990s when he was merely 34.

An MRI scan during a medical check-up in the 90s uncovered two substantial brain tumours.

The larger tumour was surgically extracted whilst the second was eliminated through pioneering radiotherapy treatment.

Although these treatments proved successful, Martin continues to experience lasting consequences, confiding to his jungle companions on Wednesday’s show that he has developed dyslexia as a result of the operations.

Whilst discussing reading difficulties, Martin revealed: “I’m dyslexic, when I read all the ends of the words jumble around.”

Clarifying the cause, he explained: “Mine is from an operation, taking away a brain tumour” as he informed his fellow campmates about having two brain tumours removed in 1995.

Martin then recounted how whilst filming a programme in Canada, he was portraying a professor and visited the makeup department to have a bald cap fitted, describing: “I could hear the whole of the makeup wagon go quiet because you could see this lump on the back of my head.”

The former EastEnders actor continued by explaining that the tumour had begun expanding into the bone, necessitating surgery just two days later.

He revealed: “They zapped me with stereotactic radiation.”

Discussing the devastating impact of his brain tumours and subsequent surgeries, he confessed: “For a while I lost everything, I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t see, I was a train wreck afterwards.”

Martin revealed that despite his recovery, he has been left with dyslexia.

This revelation follows his previous discussion about his brain tumours on his joint podcast FFS, My dad Is Martin Kemp, with his son Roman Kemp.

He disclosed: “When I was 34 and I went through that brain tumour stuff, I was practically resigned to the fact that I was going to die, but I was quite happy with my lot.”

In a poignant reflection, he added: “Every year that I live, every month that I’m alive is like a bonus.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs nightly at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX & STV Player.

HEARTBREAKING UPDATE: Strictly’s Amy Dowden gives latest HEALTH UPDATE in Hospital During Heartbreaking Surgery That Leaves Colleagues In Tears

The professional dancer issued a major update amid her recovery after undergoing a second mastectomy.

In November, Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden revealed she would be stepping away from the BBC competition series to undergo a second mastectomy. This was a devastating health update for the professional dancer who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023, before receiving the all-clear the following February. Following her surgery, the Welsh star informed her followers: “Hubby & Family have been looking after me and the besties have turned up with the goods and nothing is stopping us from watching the traitors…keeping the tradition going.”

In a fresh update, Amy took to Instagram with a new mirror selfie to mark being two weeks post-op. In the pic, the dancer simply sported a white sports bra and checkered pyjama bottoms, with her drainage tube in full view. “Focusing on the little things, I’m seeing gradual improvements in my movement and being able to do more each day.” Amy continued: “I have been taking it slow, listening to my body, being kind with myself, and celebrating the small wins. But this week I’ve really seen a difference and am feeling so like me again. Please remember to check yourself.”

This update came as Amy also took to her Instagram story to share more insight into her health and wellbeing with fans, as she said: “I’ve had lovely messages asking how I’m doing. I am doing so much better, thank you. Since the weekend, I’ve really started to feel more like me.”

She went on: “I’ve definitely got my energy back after surgery and the anaesthesia. My movement is coming back, it’s not so tender, it’s obviously sore, a bit swollen, but the bruising has gone down. I’ve definitely got a bit more movement back now and I’m really looking forward to being able to progress now with physio moving forward.

Under her post, the star was inundated with support from her followers, including celebrity pals, such as BBC Radio presenter Zoe Ball, who shared: “Heal well, brave one.”

Her fellow Strictly stars Karen Hauer and Dianne Buswell shared an array of love heart emojis. Meanwhile, Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon added: “Sending lots of love, Amy.”

HEARTBREAKING: ITV bosses forced to make tough decision about Freddie Starr after comedian suffers serious PROBLEMS in Bushtucker trial.

ITV bosses were forced to make the difficult decision after the comic suffered an extreme allergic reaction during a Bushtucker Trial.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is back on our screens and it’s already delivering plenty of drama live from the Australian jungle. This year, 10 celebrities have jetted Down Under to take part in the ITV series, with the likes of TV presenter Alex Scott, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, and Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne, who arrived in the camp yesterday. Tonight, fans will see YouTuber Angry Ginge take part in a gruelling Bushtucker Trial accompanied by comic Ruby Wax.

Usually, the winter ITV series is jam-packed with wild challenges, deadly snakes, grim food, and heartwarming bonding exercises between campmates. But the long-running show hasn’t been without its tragedies over the years, and some of its star-studded campmates are sadly no longer with us.

One star who has passed away since their time in the jungle Down Under is Freddie Starr. The beloved British comedian soared to fame in the 1970s and 80s, quickly becoming one of Britain’s biggest entertainers.

After stepping back from the showbiz for several years, Freddie returned to the spotlight in 2011 when he entered the jungle. But days into his stay, ITV bosses were forced to remove him from the show after fearing he could die during filming.

Their concerns came after he collapsed following an intense trial against Made In Chelsea star Mark Wright. The duo was tasked with eating a fermented egg, a pig’s anus, and a camel’s toe in less than two minutes.

But they were forced to cut the trial short over fears that the comedian had suffered an extreme allergic reaction. One source told the Mirror at the time that they couldn’t risk him getting ill again and banned him from returning to camp.

I'M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE! 2011

The beloved comedian died penniless in his flat in Spain (Image: ITV)

The insider told the outlet: “Freddie is clearly not well, and life in the jungle is tough. The last thing we want is for him to get really ill, or, heaven forbid, die live on television. It felt irresponsible to allow him back in the jungle.”

After he left the show, the comic became a recluse, relying on his carer as his only regular form of company. It is understood that he was estranged from his six children when he died.

In 2019, the comic died of a heart attack in his £170,000 one-bedroom flat on the Costa del Sol in the heart of Spain. It was reported at the time that Freddie was struggling financially, so much so that there were plans to give him a pauper’s burial in Spain.

Thankfully, a stranger intervened to cover the costs of his reparation and funeral. Funeral director Michael Fogg, from Sheffield, ultimately covered the fee to bring the star’s body back to the UK.

Michael told The Daily Mail: “Anyone who can make a funeral director laugh must be a bloody good comedian. And Freddie Starr could make me laugh. He shouldn’t be buried in a foreign land; he should be brought back to his own country.

“For those asking why I am paying, well, it is my money, it is my business, and that is what I want to spend my money on. He should be reunited with the people he loved and his family.”

Following his passing, Freddie’s carer, Nelly, from Bulgaria, revealed that he had been distant from his relatives for years and that she was the one who discovered his body when he died.

She told the Daily Record: “Freddie had bad feelings about back home, he felt the British people had deserted him. It would be terrible if Freddie ends up being buried in a pauper’s grave. I don’t want to see that happen, but I’m worried that if I tried to do something about it, his relatives would object.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Vicky Pattison broke down in tears as she reflected on her stint on the BBC programme. Appearing on It Takes Two with her professional partner Kai Widdrington, the 38-year-old opened up about her Strictly journey and departure. Vicky was eliminated after landing in the dance-off opposite Balvinder Sopal. Speaking about ending up in the bottom two, Kai confessed it was difficult for the both of them as it was something they hadn’t experienced, unlike Balvinder.

The former Geordie Shore star admitted she knew it was over when she ended up in the dance-off, admitting “the writing was on the wall” because she knew she would struggle to perform twice. She said: “I think we all knew. Even though I’ve come on leaps and bounds in terms of nerves. I am still an anxious girly and if I was ever to find myself in that situation, I think the writing was on the wall. My heart absolutely broke for Kai in that moment because he did absolutely everything he could as a professional, a partner, a friend. He tried everything but unfortunately I don’t have a dance-off in my locker.”

When shown a montage of her Strictly journey, Vicky was overcome with emotion as she pulled out the tissues and wiped away her tears.

Explaining how the show has impacted her, the reality star said: “I’ll never be able to put into words what Strictly meant to me, what meeting this lovely man meant. I think my big takeaway is if anybody puts their mind to something, once they get out outside their comfort zone and they work hard, be kind to other people and all the rest of those things then amazing things can happen.

“I’m really grateful for this opportunity to prove to myself and everyone else out there that you’re never too old to try something new.”

Addressing her exit on Instagram, Vicky admitted appearing on Strictly has been one of the best experiences of her life.

I’m struggling to put into words how much this process has meant to me… it has been one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life and I don’t think I’ll ever top it!

“To my @kaiwidd I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart- the absolute BEST partner a girl could ask for.. and even more than that, a friend.

“Final thankyou to you guys, for your support and kindness.. I am so grateful to you all! You made a little girls dreams come true and I loved my time spent on that dance floor!”

Strictly – It Takes Two came to a sudden halt as Janette Manrara addressed show backlash. During Tuesday’s (November 18) episode of the BBC programme, viewers rushed to complain after discovering the show isn’t filmed live, despite having long believed it was. They made the discovery when host Fleur East began discussing what La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec would be performing at Blackpool, despite earlier reports confirming that the drag queen had been forced to pull out of Saturday’s show due to injury.

Opening tonight’s edition of It Takes Two, Janette interrupted the programme to ensure viewers they were live. The BBC host said: “We are live on BBC Two and iPlayer. Yes, I promise you we are live. Some loyal fans spotted we weren’t live last night but Tuesday’s are always pre-recorded on a Monday.” The former Strictly pro swiftly moved on, explaining what was coming up on the show.

Several fans were left baffled after Tuesday’s programme, having believed every episode was filmed live.

Taking to X to voice their confusion, one wrote: “Wow, well that’s news to me!!! I will never be able to watch it in the same way again.”

Another fumed: “Erm thought #ItTakesTwo was live??? The La Voix news broke 3 hrs ago!!??? Typical #BBC.”

A third said: “They specifically say that #ItTakesTwo is live, but they just had to put a message on screen with the fact that La Voix isn’t dancing, so they clearly aren’t live when that was hours ago?! #Strictly.”

While most It Takes Two episodes are broadcast live from Elstree Studios, the Tuesday edition is pre-recorded on Monday, shortly after that evening’s live show has aired.

    La Voix

La Voix – real name Chris Dennis – issued an update on It Takes Two (Image: BBC)

La Voix and Aljaž were due to perform the Samba at Blackpool Tower Ballroom this weekend, but have been given a bye to the following week as doctors have ordered the 45-year-old to rest.

Speaking on It Takes Two, La Voix – real name Chris Dennis – issued an update, saying: “This has been ongoing since the foxtrot. I felt a little niggle in my foot hence comments about me being flat-footed. I was thinking this will be fine, but it got gradually worse…

“Until on Saturday we had to change shoes, I couldn’t wear heels. I had to wear those awful flat shoes. We tried on Monday and it was really clear I was struggling in pain so we decided to be professional and call this, hoping with some rest I can be back.”

The BBC has revealed that a number of new faces will be introduced in the upcoming series of Death in Paradise and its spin-off, Beyond Paradise. The original murder mystery drama was introduced in 2011, where Ben Miller starred as DI Richard Poole, who led a team of detectives on the Caribbean island of Saint Marie. Its Devon-based series Beyond Paradise first aired in 2023, with Kris Marshall (played by Humphrey Goodman) investigating crimes in the sleepy town. For the last two years, both shows have aired annual Christmas specials, which fans can expect to see next month.

However, ahead of its return, the BBC has confirmed a star-studded line-up of newcomers will join the beloved cast for the special later this year. The likes of Outside Edge star Josie Lawrence, Shaun of the Dead actress Kate Ashfield and Doctor Who alum Pearl Mackie will head to Saint Marie, alongside James Baxter, Billy Harris, Oriana Charles and Alix Serman. The guest cohorts will join regulars Don Gilet, Shantol Jackson, Ginny Holder, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah, and Élizabeth Bourgine for a mysterious Caribbean Christmas special.

“DI Mervin Wilson and the team identify the murder weapon, but they’re left baffled when they find that it was locked in a drawer when the murder took place… thousands of miles away from the crime scene, in Swindon!

“Stuck in Saint Marie, the team calls on the help of a familiar face to crack the case. Meanwhile, Mervin’s anxiously waiting to hear back from his newly discovered brother, which prevents him from embracing Saint Marie’s Christmas celebrations.

“Can Mervin resolve his family situation and get into the festive spirit – for the sake of his team and the island?”
