41 touchdowns and praise from a legend” – Baker Mayfield’s stunning NFL comeback!

When talking about some of the greatest career resurgences in NFL history, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his story might be in the conversation.

From being on the scrap heap a couple of years ago, Baker landed in Tampa Bay and has never looked back. Division titles, a playoff win, and multiple Pro Bowls in two seasons have improved Mayfield’s stature in the league.

And now he might have gotten the best endorsement yet.

Hall of Famer and Buccaneers legend Ronde Barber, when speaking on The Ronde Barber Show, gave Baker his flowers for what he’s done in Tampa since arriving.

“The leadership qualities just jump out at you,” Barber said. “The dude makes tough plays in tough situations. He elevates the entire team. Baker’s a top 10 quarterback for me, man. I don’t see how anybody can say otherwise.”

“He’s had a new coordinator every single year of his career, including this year. And I don’t know that it matters. The guy just elevates his game to whatever level he needs it to be at.”

It’s hard to argue with any of that based on the last two seasons, with Mayfield elevating himself into the upper echelon of quarterbacks in football.

Last season, a career-best season yielded 4,500 passing yards and 41 touchdowns while having a completion percentage of 71.4. Yes, the 16 interceptions are a blight, but other than that, Baker has been rolling.

Now, looking ahead to the 2025 season, the Buccaneers are considered NFC dark horses, with some thinking that, given the talent at Baker’s disposal, a Super Bowl run isn’t out of the realm of possibility for this team.

Yes, that is some high praise, but this Buccaneers team, led by Mayfield, deserves to be mentioned as one of the better teams in football.

BBC Glastonbury viewers left divided after watching ‘insufferable’ headliner

With a pint of Guinness and a cigarette, Matty Healy’s Glastonbury performance left viewers with mixed reviews.

The 1975 headlined Glastonbury on Friday night, making a much-anticipated return to the stage after a period of low visibility. This performance at the Pyramid Stage has been advertised as the band’s only concert of the year, and they aimed to make it memorable. Lead singer Matty Healy, the son of Loose Women star Denise Welch, made a distinctive entrance, holding a pint of Guinness and smoking a cigarette, which set the tone for an unconventional show.

Some fans seemed less than impressed by the rock star’s nonchalant attitude as he also referenced his brief relationship with Taylor Swift, who reportedly mentioned him in the lyrics of her recent album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. Healy humorously declared to the audience: “This moment is making me realise I probably am the best songwriter of my generation. A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am,” before jokingly noting that the band’s song ‘Chocolate’ is not particularly poetic.

Social media reactions to the set were mixed. Some observed that Healy’s persona felt more fabricated than genuine, and remarks highlighted the contradiction between his rock star image and the nature of their music.

“Matty Healy swaggering about with a pint he’s no intention of drinking is the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen,” said one.

A second added: “Matty Healy carrying a pint of Guinness around to appear relatable and has not drunk a single sip in 10 minutes.”

A third said: “The thing which makes Matty Healy so insufferable is it’s very easy to imagine that all the b*llendery he does on stage isn’t just for the performance but that he would genuinely sashay into Gregg’s reciting 14th century French poetry.”

Another remarked: “Matty Healy trying to play the archetypal rock & roller with the leather jacket, pint of Guinness and a cigarette while simultaneously performing some of the blandest music imaginable is quite the contradiction. About as rock & roll as Aled Jones.” (sic)

On the other hand, some fans expressed their admiration for the band and acknowledged Healy’s showmanship, noting the group’s strong songwriting and musical diversity.

One said: “Say what you want about matty Healy but he is a SHOW MAN.” Another said: “The 1975’s music is really good, but Matty Healy really is an insufferable b*llend of a frontman!”

Another added: “I do understand why Matty Healy is a polarising character but I think The 1975 are a brilliant band with sharp songwriting, brilliant diversity in sound & excellent musicianship. Still my favourites!”

Glastonbury continues today with the coverage being available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Rod Stewart mistakenly introduces Lulu early during Glastonbury Legends slot

Sir Rod Stewart took to the Pyramid Stage on Sunday for the Legends slot, and several special guests joined him.

Sir Rod Stewart accidentally introduced one of his special guests too early during his Glastonbury slot. The 80-year-old rocker, who was performing on the Pyramid Stage, spilled the beans on all of his “surprise” guests right at the beginning of his set.

After serenading the crowd with some of his greatest hits, he began to bring out his guest stars, including Mick Hucknall from Simply Red and Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones, who was his former bandmate in Faces. There was also a moving tribute to Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, who died in November 2022. Scottish singer Lulu was another one of Rod’s guests, but her announcement did not go very smoothly.

During his set, Stewart introduced Ronnie and then Lulu, before he stopped and said: “Oh, Lulu is coming on in a bit.” She eventually came on later, wearing a stunning white suit, and sang a duet with Rod.

During their performance of Hot Legs, Lulu jokingly declared: “We’d make a great couple.” Rod then completed his gig with his classic hit, Sailing.

His performance went five minutes over time, which could be blamed partly on Rod changing his outfit three times. After his final song, Rod said: “We have got to get off the stage soon, we are done.”

On social media, there was a very mixed reaction, with some people left impressed with the 80-year-old and his performing skills.

One person said: “#RodStewart Fantastic performance from Rod at 80! Amazing #Glastonbury.” A second said: “Rod Stewart still got it at 80! #Glastonbury #RodStewart.”

However, not everyone agreed, as one person moaned: “Rod should call it a day after this #Glastonbury.”

Another also commented: “Rod Stewart isn’t that bad, once you’ve accustomised yourself to the key he’s singing in.”

There’s said to be “emotional” and powerful Emmerdale scenes on the way, as a sad twist continues to rock one family.

Lisa Riley and Natalie J Robb spoke exclusively to The Mirror recently, and teased some big moments ahead. Mandy Dingle actress Lisa revealed scenes recently filmed gave her “goosebumps” with her in awe of two of her co-stars and their heartbreaking performances.

In the scenes yet to air there will be “mixed emotions” for a number of characters, with Lisa hinting the scenes will give viewers “goosebumps”. Just weeks ago it was confirmed to the Dingles that Cain Dingle’s son Nate Robinson was d3ad.

The family found out he’d been MD and dumped in a lake, where his body was for months before being uncovered. In a cruel twist the family believed he’d cut them all off, with them speaking badly of him for abandoning his daughter Frankie.

Now fingers are being pointed at villagers with suspects everywhere, while fans know it was John Sugden that KL him and then covered it up. The cast recently filmed Nate’s funeral, with devastating scenes on the way.

Lisa spilled: “The funeral is so emotional. It was amazing. There are two performance that when you sit and watch them, and we know the script, we know what is happening, but then you see your colleagues perform… I got goosebumps.

“We love that as the Dingles, when someone does a good storyline you go, ‘you knocked that out of the park tonight’. It’s so nice and you see that, the Dingles will be coming together.”

Moira Dingle actress Natalie teased “heavy” scenes as the plot continues. She shared of the funeral and what’s ahead: “There’s emotional scenes. There’s some really heavy scenes ahead too.

“There’s scenes of confusion, scenes of anger, you get a lot of mixed emotions. But that’s Emmerdale isn’t it. That’s soaps for you.” Amy Walsh recently told us that her character Tracy, Nate’s wife, will soon unite with Cain to find out who KL him.

Amy told us: “Tracy and Cain do a little list together of who it could it be. We have ruled out some people we know.” Asked about John, Amy teased: “That was left on a bit of a cliffhanger actually. He’s the next name on the list…”

Before we get to see the dynamic duo figuring things out, there’s some “feisty” and “nasty” moments. Amy warned: “Tracy is feisty. The stuff she gets away with doing to Cain, I was nervous on set! I can’t believe I’m doing this to Cain Dingle!

“But it’s all brilliant, there’s such brilliant scenes. It gets really nasty between us and then there’s a really nice arc in the story eventually, where things will become a bit clearer. I can’t say too much but there is a lot to look out for.”

Glastonbury Festival 2025 sparks heated debate – Calls everywhere for Raye to Headline – Fans point out Reasons PROVING whether she or Rod Stewart truly deserves the Top Spot?

BBC Glastonbury viewers all say same thing after watching Raye’s performance

Raye performed on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night at Glastonbury Festival 2025.

Glastonbury goers are in firm agreement after Raye’s electrifying performance on the Pyramid Stage, insisting the festival “should have” given her the top headline spot.

The legendary Glastonbury Festival made an unforgettable comeback this weekend, drawing over 200,000 festival-goers and some of the world’s most renowned artists.

Raye captured the spotlight during the enviable Saturday evening slot at 8pm, kicking off her act with her live band and backing vocalists sprinting to their stations.

A box marked “fragile” became the centre of attention as it was wheeled onto the stage, revealing Raye herself when opened, stunning in a glittery black dress.

She started her set with her ballad Where’s My Husband and continued with crowd favourites such as The Thrill Is Gone, heart-wrenching Ice Cream Man, and debut of her latest track I Know You’re Hurting.

Comments poured in praising her performance, with many arguing she deserved the prestigious headliner slot, currently occupied by none other than Rod Stewart for the Legends performance.

Social media was abuzz asking: “Why is Raye not headlining?”, while others echoed: “Raye was absolutely amazing, should have been headlining with a bigger band and more backup singers.”

Another sentiment making the rounds was a straightforward “Raye should have been headlining tonight.”

“Next time headlining I hope, Raye that was incredible”, one fan ecstatically tweeted, while another enthused: “Raye should headline in 2027.”

“Future headline act right there! What a woman! What a singer!” another admirer chimed in online.

Rock legend Rod Stewart, famed for anthems like Sailing and Maggie May, is set to command the Pyramid Stage at 3.45pm for a two-hour spectacle.

The day will wind down with pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo taking over for another spellbinding two-hour performance at 9.45pm, belting out chart-topping hits including Drivers License, Good 4 U, and Traitor.

BLUNDER AFTER BLUNDER – Mixing up a colleague’s name – Joking at the wrong moment – How long will Kate Garraway keep testing Good Morning Britain viewers’ patience?

Good Morning Britain viewers have demanded an apology from Kate Garraway after a ‘rude’ snub directed at her ITV co-star.

Friday’s instalment of the daily news programme saw Kate, 58, present with co-host Robert Rinder, 47.

As the pair covered the top stories of the day, they introduced reporter Gargy Patel who was broadcasting live from Westminster.

However, the presenter made the mistake of accidentally calling Gargy the wrong name, and instead referred to her as her colleague Ranvir Singh at the end of the segment.

She said: ‘Ranvir, thank you very much indeed.’

The blunder didn’t appear to be noticed by those in the ITV set but viewers were quick to point it out on social media.

One penned on X: ‘Oops! Kate just called Gargy Patel, Ranvir by mistake.’

Another added: ‘Kate called her ‘Ranvir’ hmm she was not impressed. Apologise.’

While someone else commented: ‘@GMB did Kate just call that reporter Ranvir on a purpose… Was she being rude?????’

It comes after viewers were left ‘wincing’ as Kate Garraway made a ‘disrespectful and insensitive’ joke at the worst possible time.

A previous episode of the ITV breakfast news show saw the presenter with co-host Adil Ray, 51, report a particularly sad story to viewers.

It was about British grandmother Yvonne Ford, 59, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, who sadly di3d from rabies this week.

Kate explained: ‘Did you see this extraordinary story about a woman, she was scratched very slightly by a stray dog whilst on holiday in February, that long ago, in Morocco.

‘It wasn’t even a particularly bad one at the time. It didn’t seem to be infected. Then two weeks ago, she started to feel very unwell, has now passed away.’

Before making an ill-timed quip, she added: ‘It’s made people very conscious because rabies is something we don’t think about very much. It is astonishing.’

It came as she mentioned TV doctor Hilary Jones, 72, who often appears on the show for health and wellbeing segments.

The blunder didn't appear to be noticed by those in the ITV set but viewers were quick to point it out on social media

She said: ‘I mean, what the doctors say, if I can do my Dr Hilary at the moment for a bit, is make sure you get an inoculation.

‘But also, if you have any kind of scratch from any kind of wild animal or animal abroad, get treatments right away, because then it can be stopped.’

Rabies – which is passed on through injuries such as bites and scratches from an infected animal – is nearly always fatal.

It typically takes between three to 12 weeks for symptoms to show but can also take longer in some cases.

Viewers picked up on Kate’s jokey reference to pretending to be Dr Hilary and felt the tone was not tasteful given the nature of the story.

One wrote on X: ‘Classy Kate cracking a rabies joke just after reporting on a rabies d3ath.’

Someone replied: ‘Noticed that too – made me wince. So insensitive.’

The TV presenter recalled an incident from two years ago that left her red-faced.

‘So I was walking down the street and a bus went past and I don’t know what happened but my trousers literally fell down to the floor, they were too loose, and the whole bus literally laughing at me,’ Alison recalled, giggling.

Dermot looked baffled and asked: ‘Are you joking?’

‘I’m not joking,’ Alison clarified as she cracked up laughing.

‘A bus went past and your trousers fell down?!’ Dermot exclaimed.

Alison put her head in her hand and laughed, she continued: ‘Yeah, they literally…’

‘The wind of the bus?’ Dermot said.

‘No, it wasn’t the wind, I think the trousers were getting a little bit loose and as I was walking the trousers dropped and the whole bus was literally laughing at me,’ the presenter explained.

‘Obviously, it was so shocking I didn’t have enough time to go down, pick them up… It was literally the most embarrassing.’

Alison had another hilarious moment on This Morning last month when she was hosting with Paddy McGuinness.

The pair presented an episode of the much-loved programme and spoke about a range of different newsworthy topics and even some famous faces.

After an advert break towards the end of the show, Alison and Paddy returned live from the studio to talk about what was left to enjoy.

Giggling away to herself, Alison said to viewers: ‘Welcome back!’

Paddy couldn’t contain his laughter and chimed in: ‘We’ve got spuds waiting for us in the kitchen…’

He then pointed at Alison and said: ‘I’ve got to say, Alison just sprayed her face with something over there that’s full of glitter. She didn’t realise.

    ‘Can you see it?’

Alison confessed: ‘I thought it was setting spray! I looked over there, I thought it was setting spray so I thought I’d setting spray myself.

    ‘It’s actually glitter!’

Paddy said: ‘Oh brilliant. I love that!’

Alison started to pat her hair down and said: ‘I sprayed myself with glitter! I’m so sorry.’

“My Biggest Regret was having children” – the Chilling Words that haunted Kelly Brook, 45 – Revealing sh0cking details in her Prenup with husband Jeremy Parisi, 40.

Kelly Brook, 45, has defended signing a prenup to marry husband Jeremy Parisi, 40, and revealed the real reason they agreed on it.

Friday’s instalment of ITV‘s Loose Women saw Kaye Adams, 62, Judi Love, 45, Jane Moore, 63 and Kelly discuss trending topics.

Conversation turned to prenuptial agreements between couples and Kelly explained the why she and her husband chose to do so.

‘We did, and it wasn’t for financial reasons,’ the actress said.

‘I think prenups have a bad rap but I think they’re a really good opportunity for you to have a lot of difficult conversations when everything is good and rosy and everyone’s on speaking terms because sometimes a lot of marriages don’t end with a happy ending.’

She opened up about what the couple considered when discussing the prenup.

The actress and model explained: ‘One of the big question marks for me, my husband being French, if things were to go sour and we were to divorce, where is the marital home? Is it in France? Is it in Italy? Is it in the UK? Is it in America?

‘Because we’ve travelled in those four countries and lived and worked in those four countries for many years.’

She added: ‘And at the time of our marriage we were living in the UK, but we actually got married under Italian law in Rome.

‘So it was a really complicated situation, so we had to sit down and say right, if we were to have children, where would they be, where would they go to school, where would we both live and where would that home be.’

Kaye asked: ‘So it was more about kids than money?’

Kelly replied: ‘It was more about children and family and what that family unit would look like. It wasn’t an easy conversation, it’s not romantic is it… so it is kind of financial, but its also kind of logistical as well…’

Earlier this year, Kelly revealed she had made her mind up on whether she wants to have children or not, after an ‘honest’ admission from her grandma.

The model and actress opened up on a comment that has stuck with her and changed her views on becoming a mother.

In an interview with The Mirror, Kelly revealed that she asked her grandma if she had any regrets in life – and was shocked by her frank answer, when she responded that her biggest one was having children.

She admitted: ‘I wasn’t expecting it, but she definitely said it! I think she felt that having children had taken up a lot of her life.

‘I thought, ‘What an absolutely honest, incredible answer,’ and I think I needed to hear it. I was about 36 at the time and thinking, ‘God, am I ever going to have children? If so, maybe I should just get on with it now?’

‘Then I thought, ‘Actually, I don’t think I want them,’ and hearing that somebody had regrets, and that I might not regret not having children, made me feel really happy about my choice.’

Kelly reflected on how not having children leaves her life more open to different possibilities and used being able to move between LA and the UK as an example.

It comes after the Loose Women star opened up about her ‘traumatic and devastating’ m1scarriages in previous relationships.

She revealed that her and her husband Jeremy Parisi are ‘childless by choice’ as she spoke about their marriage.

Kelly revealed that she looks at her and Jeremy’s ‘beautiful life’ and how they aren’t ‘burdened’ by the turmoil of trying to have children.

However she got candid about her experience in previous relationships, as she revealed the trauma of going through IVF or experiencing m1scarriages.

‘I am actually childless by choice at the moment, it’s not something that we have considered and I don’t think that should be a taboo,’ she told The Sun on Sunday.

‘I have been through pregnancies and m1scarriages and I know how traumatic and devastating they are on you and on your relationship, I have been down that road with previous partners and it is a lot.

‘I look at the beautiful life we have and how we don’t have the burden of that.’

Kelly said that while she sees how much happiness children bring her family, she also sees the stress that comes with.

And while her and Jeremy love family time and caring for their dog, travel is a huge part of their lives and having children is not on their list of priorities.

However at the time Kelly admitted that she wasn’t completely closed off to being a mum in the future – something she was yet to discuss with her husband.

The mystery of the UK’s hardest-to-sell house – Hauntingly recalled by Scarlette Douglas, former host of A Place In The Sun!

A Place In The Sun‘s Scarlette Douglas was horrified by a ‘scary, oppressive and dingy’ house as an unusual feature in it sent a shiver down her spine.

The property expert, 38, known as a presenter on the Channel 4 house hunting  series from 2015 to 2022, is about to launch a new house programme.

Can’t Sell Must Sell, co-hosted with her brother, retired footballer and fellow developer Stuart Douglas, 47, is set to hit Channel 4 on July 2.

The six episodes see the siblings – known for presenting renovation programme Worst House On The Street – help sell homes their owners are struggling to shift.

With the help of a team of designers and carpenters, they assist guests with getting their houses properly market-ready.

But ahead of the programme’s launch in less than a week, Scarlette recalled one particularly unsettling house she worked on during filming.

‘One lady was very attached to her house and its Victorian style – she has lots of dolls’, she said.

‘When you walked in, everything felt oppressive. It was dark, dingy and scary. Even her daughters were trying to get her to sell it. She didn’t want to listen.’

It was not the only tricky project Scarlette found herself helping with, having also worked on a quaint cottage that unfortunately stank of dogs.

The presenter explained: ‘I love dogs but you can become nose-blind to them.

‘One of the properties was a really beautiful cottage but the minute you walked in, it smelled of dog.

‘They were so used to the smell that they couldn’t get their head around it. Those are things you’re not going to see but they affect a sale.’

Stuart recalled fondly how happy the renovation made the guest: ‘What made it important for me was how important it was for the owner.

‘She was a really lovely lady. The transformation of the house itself was amazing but the transformation in her was memorable. She was so grateful.’

Filming got even more emotional when the siblings visited a widow, whose home was stuffed full, overflowing with memorabilia, particularly china plates.

Scarlette explained how this had happened: ‘Her husband did the DIY. She couldn’t do anything around the house.

‘She was so grateful at the end, I was an emotional wreck.’

The siblings also emphasised that throughout the shoot, no one on set, including them, was afraid to get their hands dirty.

‘We’re not just walking in, saying our piece and walking out. We really do get involved, even off-camera’, she said.

Her brother agreed: ‘We had great teams. But we needed lots of hands on deck to complete the transformations.

‘Even the cameraman took things to the skip. Everyone chipped in.’

Scarlette added: ‘That level of involvement was essential, given the scale of the jobs – and the tight turnaround. It was hard and stressful.

‘We started around 8am and wouldn’t finish until about 11pm. We cover two houses in a week. But the end result made it all worth it.’

It comes after Scarlette spoke out about what it was really like to work on A Place In The Sun.

Despite travelling to many stunning locations and meeting a range of interesting people, she said working on the show is not always fun.

The presenter told The Express shooting the show is actually ‘really hard’ and five days of filming is put into creating just one ’47-minute show’.

‘There’s a lot that goes into it. It’s hard work,’ Scarlette said.

She also revealed two sorely-needed items presenters are banned from wearing: ‘You can’t wear sunglasses or a hat.’

The property expert admitted: ‘You just about have time to drink some water.

‘You keep going and going and going, so as much as it looks glamorous, it’s actually a really difficult show.’
