“She’s a real-life Muggle!” – Viewers left stunned as Boy George and JK Rowling clash fiercely on Lorraine over transgender rights!

Boy George sent a defiant message to JK Rowling during Wednesday’s episode of Lorraine – swiping ‘I bet she’s watching now’ after their vicious trans row.

The 64-year-old, real name George Alan O’Dowd, took to the studio to chat to host Lorraine Kelly, 65, about his upcoming new music.

During the chat Lorraine told him: ‘You’ve always stood up for people who sometimes don’t have a voice for themselves… People in the trans community, it’s been very rough for them and you’ve said “No it’s not fair”.’

The singer explained: ‘It’s real life stuff, not two celebrities bickering on the internet,’ making reference to his spats with the Harry Potter author, who has come under fire about her views on trans people.

Speaking about their arguments, Boy George said: ‘I think it’s hilarious that you’re having a row with someone that I’ve never met. I probably never will meet.

‘I feel like in the movies she creates this beautiful magic world, in real life she’s a muggle. It’s very disappointing it’s not true.’

A muggle is someone in the franchise who is not able to perform magic, typically born of two other muggles.

The Dursley family – Petunia (Fiona Shaw), Vernon (Richard Griffiths) and son Dudley (Harry Melling) are all muggles – and Harry’s aunt Petunia looks after him at the start of the first movie.

Lorraine asked him if he ever thinks that society will get to a place where ‘it really, really doesn’t matter’.

He added: ‘For most people it doesn’t matter, it matters only if you’re a nice person or a horrible person. Nobody chooses to be trans or g@y.

‘Nobody chooses to have blue eyes, it just happens…

‘It’s sad that somebody who is so creative. I love the movies, the movies are brilliant,  I bet she’s watching now…’

The star then waved at the camera and said: ‘Morning!’

As Boy George giggled away to himself, Lorraine replied: ‘Maybe she is, maybe she isn’t.’

During the chat Lorraine told him: 'You've always stood up for people who sometimes don't have a voice for themselves... People int he trans community, it's been very rough for them and you've said "No it's not fair"'

Boy George said: ‘I think it’s hilarious that you’re having a row with someone that I’ve never met. I probably never will meet’

He continued to wave at the camera and said: ‘Get over it!’

It comes after a trans rights row between JK  and Boy George escalated earlier tis month as the author referenced the singer’s conviction for b3ating a male escort with a chain.

A heated exchange ignited on X after the 63-year-old popstar dubbed the Harry Potter author a ‘rich, bored bully’.

In a lengthy takedown, Rowling accused the Culture Club star of sneering at ‘unenlightened plebs’ and quipped: ‘I’ve never been given 15 months for handcuffing a man to a wall and b3ating him with a chain.’

George served four months out of a 15-month jail sentence in 2009 after being found guilty of ass@ult and the f@lse impr1s0nment of male escort Auden Carlsen.

He later said he was prosecuted on his own evidence after he told the police he h@ndc::uffed Carlsen.

The Karma Chameleon hitmaker tearfully apologised in 2017 when he appeared on Piers Morgan‘s Life Stories and described it as a ‘psych0tic epis0de’.

‘I stopped him from leaving my apartment,’ he sighed. ‘It’s terrible what I did, and I’m ashamed and sorry for what I did. It was wrong.’

This morning George hit back at Rowling in another dig by suggesting she was a muggle – a character in the Harry Potter series who lacks any magical ability.

On June 15 Rowling pointed out she had spent many years in poverty which is ‘why I understand the importance of single-s3x spaces for women’.

‘You yourself have been convicted of vi0lent ass@ult,’ she said. ‘The overwhelming number of people who commit crimes of violence are male, just like you.

‘That’s why I don’t want to see men identifying into women’s prison cells or any of the spaces mentioned above. Not all men are violent or predatory, but enough are to make safeguarding necessary.’

The war of words between Rowing and George started in April and saw the author blast the Culture Club singer after he said that she could not tell the difference between a transgender woman and a biological man.

George has expressed support for transgender people online, in line with other stars such as Tilda Swinton and Pedro Pascal, who recently branded Rowling a ‘heinous loser’ on Instagram.

Responding to a tweet suggesting that Pascal – an outspoken supporter of trans rights – was a misogynist, the singer wrote: ‘Stop this nonsense that if you don’t agree with @jk_rowling you hate women. She hates men. This is where this truth lies.

‘She cannot differentiate between a ‘trans’ woman and a biological male. Which is weird with her imagination?’

But Rowling – who now tweets almost daily about what she has called ‘s3x-based rights’ – fired back with an eye-rolling emoji and the retort: ‘I do not hate men.’

She wrote: ‘I’m married to a man, George. I do not hate men.

‘I simply live in reality where men – however they identify – commit 98 per cent of s3xual ass@ults, and 88 per cent of victims are female.

‘Trans-identified men are no less likely than other kinds of men to pose a risk to women or girls.’

She did not elaborate on how many of those committing s3xual ass@ults were thought to be trans.

Tom Felton refused to criticise JK Rowling during interview

She then added: ‘Accusing me of hating men because I don’t think trans women should be given access to all women-only spaces does rather suggest that… you’re well aware that these are, in fact, men.’

Rowling has been vocal on the subject of trans people for several years; in 2018, a spokesperson explained that her ‘like’ of a tweet calling trans women ‘men in dresses’ had been a ‘middle-aged moment’.

And following the Supreme Court judgment on April 17, Rowling has consistently referred to transgender women as being ‘men’.

The ruling, on an appeal brought by campaign group For Women Scotland, concluded that the legal definition of a woman was that of a biological female, when interpreting the Equality Act.

It has led to the Equality and Human Rights Commission overhauling its rules on single-s3x spaces – meaning that even trans people with gender recognition certificates (GRC) are still considered to be their biological birth s3x.

MPs have pointed out that the judgment will likely lead to discrimination against those who do not appear traditionally male or female.

Dawn Butler, Labour MP for Brent East, told Parliament on last Tuesday: ‘I do not know whether anyone else in the House has butch l3sbian friends and has been with them when they have been told to get out of women’s toilets, but I have.

‘It is not pleasant; it is not nice.’

And the ruling likely means that transgender men – who are considered biologically female – will be required to use women’s toilets, even if they appear male and have, for example, a beard.

SH0CKING REVEAL – Just 2 Hours after Splitting from Zara, Sam Thompson’s Dating App Profile Goes Live – Mystery Woman Stuns Fans!

Sam Thompson has been spotted back on celebrity dating app Raya, just hours after MailOnline revealed the end of his two-month romance with Sam Elishi.

Despite claims the pair ‘fizzled out’ with The Made In Chelsea star, 32, not ready to commit to a long-term relationship due to his busy work schedule, he was back hunting for Mrs Right on Thursday.

The coupling was Sam’s first public relationship since his separation from partner of five years Zara McDermott, 28, who is now with former One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson.

Snaps on his profile show the reality star at Soccer Aid earlier this month, as well as posing alongside famous pals, including best friend Pete Wicks and fellow I’m A Celeb campmate Marvin Humes.

Sam was last seen on the exclusive app in March, in the aftermath of his split from Zara, with a source telling The Sun at the time: ‘Sam’s been left devastated by the end of his relationship, which was made even more difficult when he saw who Zara was dating.

‘Even though he might not be quite ready to jump back into something serious yet, Sam was encouraged by his friends to dip his toe in the water.’

Sam started dating Samie, 25, famed for her appearances on Love Island, in April and the couple were later spotted passionately kissing after attending Olivia Attwood‘s birthday party.

A source confirmed to MailOnline that the pair decided against taking their romance any further due to their busy work schedules, which in recent weeks has seen Sam raise over £1.6million for charity UNICEF after he conquered a 260-mile endurance challenge.

The former I’m A Celeb winner said taking part in the mammoth task, where he transported the Soccer Aid match ball from last year’s stadium, London’s Stamford Bridge in London, to this year’s venue, Old Trafford in Manchester, gave him the focus he needed to overcome a difficult start to 2025.

Meanwhile, Samie, who Sam had introduced to close friend and Staying Relevant co-host Pete Wicks, has been jet setting with various brands following her stint on Love Island: All Stars earlier this year, including to Mykonos, Greece, with Space NK.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Sam and Samie’s romance just fizzled out, there was so much attraction between them initially, but their busy schedules made it difficult for them to spend quality time together.

‘For Sam, it was his first relationship since his split from Zara and the feeling is he would rather concentrate on work before getting into another long-term commitment.’

Sam’s split from Samie follows his sister Louise giving her take on who she believes he should date.

Speaking on the Staying Relevant podcast, which this week won a gong at the TRIC Awards, Louise said: ‘I would love for you to try dating someone that has a normal job, outside of the media space, I think that could be exciting.

‘You definitely need someone that slightly puts you in your place who’s going to talk back to you and not let you get away with everything. It can’t just be Sam’s way or the highway in a relationship.’

Louise added: ‘And look, if you’re going to go down the fame route can you just find someone that I would get along with, I’m thinking young, British actress, like Emma Watson.’

The former Chelsea star’s comments on the podcast provoked one fan to say she ‘never really liked Zara.’

But Louise hit back, saying: ‘I have to interject here. I actually really adored Zara.’

MailOnline has contacted Sam and Samie’s representatives for comment.

MailOnline revealed Sam and Zara split following five years together on New Year’s Day after the couple spent the festive season apart.

Zara had grown especially close to her ex-boyfriend’s family given Louise, her fiancé Ryan and son Leo, three, live next door to Sam in west London.

The former Love Island star turned documentary maker was first spotted with singer Louis in March and the couple have since holidayed together in Los Angeles and Costa Rica.

Sam and Louis both played in this month’s Soccer Aid despite obvious tensions around their dating lives.

Footage of Louis appearing to snub Sam circulated on TikTok after the former boy band star grimaced and ignored the Chelsea favourite once the match had ended.

Louise Thompson describes brother Sam’s ‘ideal partner’

After achieving his UNICEF challenge, Sam reflected: ‘I have never been so low but also so high at the same time… One of the things that I will say is that mentally I don’t think there was a better time for me to do that.

‘On Thursday, I left a lot on that road, I left a lot there and it was one of the most mentally freeing times I’ve ever had in my entire life.

‘We rode and ran for the longest duration, all the way down the Welsh border and we finished in Liverpool, you know I’m a bit of a talker, but it was so hard, you just had to channel something.

‘I left a lot of the year that I’ve had on that road, and I didn’t speak for an hour and a half. I was riding the bike while crying for an hour and a half just tears streaming down my face just riding like I have never ridden before.

‘I have never felt so emotionally depleted but also at peace.’

UNACCEPTABLE – ITV sparks Global outrage and controversy over a MAP shown on GMB – Viewers demand official response from the Network!

Good Morning Britain has been slapped with 318 Ofcom complaints after viewers took issue with an ITV war report.

The complaints came after a map was broadcast on June 19 during coverage of the Isr@3l conflict that depicted the Golan Heights as part of Isr@3l.

The Golan Heights is a rocky plateau located between S::yr1a, Isr@3l, Jordan and Lebanon, and is widely seen as part of southwest S::yr1a.

In 1967, Isr@3l’s military occupied roughly two-thirds of the region during its so-called Six-Day War with several Arab States, including S::yr1a.

In 1981, Isr@3l went on to effectively annex this part of the Golan Heights and last year seized the whole region after the fall of S::yr1an President Bashar al-Assad.

The UK Government recognises the Golan Heights as occupied territory.

GMB was flooded with complaints after the map showing the territory as part of Isr@3l was flashed on screen during a live report from Tel Aviv by Richard Gaisford.

One penned on X: ‘The Golan Heights is part of S::yr1a, but #GMB continues to show it as part of Isr@3l.’

Another added: ‘Disgusting ‘reporting’ and total misinterpretation of Golan Heights.’

The next day, reporter Sean Fletcher gave a ‘clarification’ of the map.

He said: ‘Yesterday we showed a graphic map which included the Golan Heights as part of Isr@3l.

‘The UK government views the Golan Heights as occupied territory and does not recognise Isr@3l’s annexation of the land, and we are happy to clarify that.’

It comes after Good Morning Britain viewers shared a lot of complaints as Martin Lewis replaced Richard Madeley this week.

Typically, the ITV news programme features Susanna Reid and Richard as presenters, but on Wednesday’s instalment, the consumer guru stepped up to host.

Susanna and Martin worked their way through the day’s top stories but some watchers weren’t best pleased about the shake-up.

Many took to social media to share their thoughts on Martin co-hosting the show and one penned on X: ‘Ruins my morning having to listen to Martin – time for Eamonn I think.’

‘Martin Lewis with his shouty “do this” “do that” and jumping over furniture so early in the morning may just be too much for me,’ another added.

Someone else said: ‘I just don’t have the head for Martin Lewis at this time of the morning.’

Collabro, made up of Michael, Jamie, Matthew Pagan, and Thomas J. Redgrave, shot to fame after winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 and sold over two million albums.

However, the group faced challenges in 2016 when former member Richard Hadfield left following a dispute over posting cover songs on YouTube.

Since then, the four-piece continued to tour and supported Cliff Richard on his Just Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll Tour of the UK in 2017, before embarking on their 51-date Road to the Royal Albert Hall tour in 2019.

After reaching the semi-finals on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, the band announced a farewell tour in 2022, leaving fans heartbroken.

At the time, they said: ‘We are so incredibly grateful to have been allowed to do what we love for eight years, and the fans are to thank for that.

‘Their constant support and love have meant that we have travelled the world singing, and we can’t thank them enough.

‘We will be visiting stunning cathedrals across the UK in February 2026 singing our beautiful harmonies in candlelight!!’

Ahead of Fern’s This Morning departure in 2009, the star and Phillip famously fell out and haven’t spoken since, with Phillip previously claiming in his autobiography their relationship was ‘beyond repair’.

It was claimed at the time she felt ‘undervalued by ITV’ and that she was ‘living in Phil’s shadow’.

Though 15 years on, Fern said she had ‘great fun’ hosting This Morning with her former pal whilst speaking about his own exit from the breakfast show.

Speaking to Saga, she said: ‘It brought up a lot of mixed emotions.

‘The years we worked together were mostly great fun and we were a very good partnership, which I can remember with fondness.

‘I knew how much he loved his job and cared deeply for his public perception. It must have been a terribly difficult time for him and his family.’

In 2022, Fern ended their long-running feud when she congratulated Phillip in a video message to celebrate his 40th anniversary in television.

BBC Ruins the Party For Fans as sh0cking twist in Doctor Who season 15 finale is spoiled before Airing!

The BBC issued a statement after livid Doctor Who fans complained about an episode being ‘spoiled’.

Doctor Who’s 15th season wrapped up last month and saw Ncuti Gatwa depart as the Time Lord in the series’ finale.

Ncuti’s character regenerated into Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) in scenes that sent viewers into a meltdown.

However, some fans voiced concerns that the episode was ruined because the BBC News site published an article with the headline: ‘Ncuti Gatwa regenerates into Billie Piper as he leaves Doctor Who’.

A spoiler warning was then written underneath, but many felt the headline spoiled the ending.

Since then, the broadcaster has acknowledged the complaints and explained the reasoning behind the story.

The statement read: ‘Some people contacted us to complain that the headline gave away the ending, spoiling this Doctor Who episode for them.

‘Others requested that the BBC be more conscious of spoilers going forward, particularly in the use of headlines.

‘Ncuti Gatwa’s departure from the series had been widely speculated and many fans will have been aware that this was a possibility.

‘The headline on the news homepage that evening referred to Ncuti Gatwa’s departure because this was a legitimate entertainment news story in its own right, and it is not unusual that we would carry this type of story once a programme has been broadcast and the details in the public domain.’

It went on to reveal details of the regeneration was added in later on in the evening.

The statement continued: ‘While we cannot account for everyone’s viewing habits, we initially held back from headlining the announcement of Ncuti Gatwa’s regeneration into Billie Piper.

‘This extra detail was added later in the evening and our approach was consistent across the BBC site.

‘BBC journalists are of course entitled to use their judgement to decide which stories to cover and the manner in which they are reported. We also want our headlines to be as informative as possible.

‘Although every story is different, we have discussed your concerns on this occasion with senior editors and we will be mindful of your views for future coverage.’

When the episode aired, devout Whovians were not expecting the huge twist at the end when Ncuti’s character regenerated into Rose amid his departure after just two series as woke storylines saw ratings for the much-loved show plunge.

Billie first starred as the companion to the ninth Doctor in 2005, playing Rose Tyler alongside Christopher Eccleston’s Time Lord. She went onto star alongside David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor in the second series.

Studio SH0CK on Coronation Street – Star falls into Critical C0MA!

Coronation Street‘s Gary Windass is left f1ghting for h1s life as the soap finally reveals what happened to the ‘missing’ villager – leaving Maria ‘spiralling’.

The mystery began on the ITV soap when the builder (Mikey North) left Weatherfield, supposedly to stay with his mother for a while.

It was to escape neighbour Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) blackmailing him, after she leant in and kissed him recently, leaving him stunned.

She promised she would keep quiet about the kiss – including to Gary’s partner Maria (Samia Longchambon) – as long as ‘he did what she said’, with her exact motive unclear.

Gary and Maria are in a rough spot in their relationship at the moment so when he left town for a mysterious reason, she was upset but quickly brushed it off.

But when he did not return for her son Liam’s (Charlie Wrenshall) birthday, alarm bells started ringing in her head as she wondered where he had gone.

Gary and Maria (pictured together last year) are in a rough spot in their relationship at the moment so when he left town for a mysterious reason, she was upset but quickly brushed it off

And Friday’s episode will reveal he has not left town at all – but is actually in a c0ma at Weatherfield General, f1ghting for h1s life, with his family and friends totally unaware.

The revelation comes after Maria gets so worried for Gary’s safety, she reports him as a missing person to police detective Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).

It is then she discovers from him there is an unidentified c0ma patient at the local hospital.

Kit assures Maria it is not Gary – but it is a sign even he has been taken in by Gary’s mystery attacker.

It turns out the reason why no one knows Gary is at the hospital is the unknown criminal has tried to cover their tracks by giving the wrong name for him and claiming to be his next of kin.

As Gary remains in critical condition, the upcoming episodes will unravel how he ended up in hospital – and exactly who put him there.

Samia, who plays Maria, said: ‘Maria and Gary are going through a bit of a rough patch at the minute and initially, she’s upset that he’s left but doesn’t think too much into it.

‘As soon as Gary misses Liam’s birthday, she has a gut feeling that something isn’t right and fears something awful might have happened to him.

‘Maria’s mind is spiralling but she doesn’t stop for a second to think who actually attacked Gary.

‘She’s aware he has a lot of enemies from over the years who could have potentially wanted to take revenge on him.’

For instance, Gary had a violent fight with Lou’s villainous husband Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) just weeks ago.

It came after he discovered Mick had terrified his stepson Liam by leaving him locked in a cabinet for hours during an attempted practical joke in the builder’s yard.

Gary was furious, confronting Mick, who soon found himself fired.

But he is not one to go down without a fight and soon warned Gary he would regret giving him the push out of the yard.

He soon confronted Gary on the street, where the pair had a bl00dy br@wl in broad daylight, which nearly ended with Mick being bottled before Kit stepped in.

The character had not been seen on the soap since January, which left fans baffled at the time – his absence was not explained and no plot point was created to justify it.

Maria had also been missing from recent episodes.

But they both came back at the end of April, with Gary telling Maria he wants to sell his shop and buy the builder’s yard in Weatherfield to start afresh – which she is not convinced is a good plan.

Fans were shocked and delighted to see Gary’s return, taking to X to express their astonishment.

One said, ‘I’d forgotten what he looked like’, while someone else commented, ‘A rare Gary sighting!’

Another added: ‘Gary’s here too?! Did they finally find the key to the cupboard they’ve been keeping all these characters in?’

Someone else said: ‘Oh wow, Gary Windass is still alive? I forgot about him.’

Last month, avid fans of the soap had questioned where he was on X, with three posing the exact same question, ‘Where is Gary Windass?’, with another adding: ‘Really need his storyline.’

Someone else commented: ‘Hmm Corrie mysteries… Gary and Maria have been AWOL for months. Is there a Bermuda Triangle corner in Weatherfield?’

Fans were worried the lack of explanation meant the couple were going to be quietly written out of the show – but their fears will have been alleviated by their surprise return.

UNBELIEVABLE – Lorraine has Fooled viewers all this time – her Hair confession sh0cks everyone!

Lorraine Kelly left fans stunned as she revealed her hair is FAKE during Thursday’s instalment of her ITV show.

The 65 year old returned to our screens to present her programme Lorraine and discussed a number of newsworthy topics with guests.

One guest appeared on the show to receive a hair transformation from hairdresser Richard Ward, after suffering from thinning hair.

Right at the end of the episode, Lorraine caught up with her to see her brand new look and she was over the moon with the new length.

So the Scottish host decided to make a confession, as she pulled out some clip-in extensions, Lorraine said: ‘Can I just say, every morning when I’m on the telly, I have these wee things…’

The star then pulled out the extensions and shouted: ‘Ta-da!’ as she waved them around in the air.

Boy George sends defiant three-word message to JK Rowling

On Tuesday Sydnie Christmas and Lorraine were left in hysterics as a Dalmatian puppy clambered on top of the singer during the ITV show.

IT’S FAR FROM OVER – a Chilling VIDEO of Naga Munchetty resurfaces, turning BBC Breakfast’s backstage into a pressure cooker. What fate awaits Naga?

Naga Munchetty was scolded by Charlie Stayt live on BBC Breakfast for ‘bringing the tone down’ with a ‘mean and awkward’ swipe at a co-star – YEARS before the b::lly1ng probe came to light.

The morning programme, which hit our screens in 2000, has hit headlines in recent weeks as a number of those working on the show has come under criticism, including Naga and editor Richard Frediani.

And now a clip, that came years before the b::lly1ng row, has shown an awkward segment between the stars of the show.

In an episode, which aired on July 15 2022, Naga was joined by Charlie in the studio as they caught up with the new business presenter Hannah Miller.

Hannah, who had only been part of the team for a number of months, was live from market town Nantwich in Cheshire to chat to an ice cream business owner.

She told Naga: ‘I bet you wish you were here’, to which Naga replied: ‘I don’t like ice cream, Hannah.’

Hannah was keen to find out what she is a fan of, asking: ‘Do you like brownies?’

Hannah told her: ‘I won’t be bringing brownies into the office then…’

As they returned to the studio, Naga told Charlie: ‘Imagine that. What’s your job? Oh I’ve got to be sent to an ice cream factory and you actually like an ice cream parlour.’

BBC ‘forced to apologise to Geri Halliwell-Horner’ after VERY awkward interview with Naga Munchetty

    article image

Charlie trailed off: ‘Hannah was working hard, doing the story and then…’

It comes after BBC Breakfast bosses were reportedly forced to apologise to Geri Halliwell-Horner after a very awkward interview with Naga and Charlie.

During the awkward resurfaced interview from October 2023, Naga, caught the Spice Girl off guard as she asked: ‘Do you not like being interviewed?’

After the segment ended, Geri, 52, allegedly said she did not want to appear on the show opposite the pair ever again.

The claims emerged amid total chaos at BBC Breakfast – and a power struggle between bosses and presenters described by one source as being like ‘The Hunger Games’.

Its editor Richard Frediani has taken an extended period of leave amid claims he is too tough. There are also allegations that Naga and Charlie have fallen out.

When Munchetty and Stayt interviewed Geri almost two years ago, viewers were shocked how awkward it was.

Naga probed Geri on whether she had ‘researched’ them before the interview, while Charlie accused her of ‘pointing her finger’ a lot during the chat.

During the discussion, Naga said: ‘Do you know what, you’re very interesting as an interviewee. You’ve come in, making sure you’ve done your research on us as well haven’t you?’

Geri insisted it was the ‘polite thing to do’, before Charlie jumped in, and said: ‘Also, you point your finger quite a lot, to be honest.’

Shocked, she replied: ‘Is that rude?! I’m so sorry Charlie.’ Naga then bluntly said: ‘Do you not like being interviewed?’

Now it has emerged that the BBC later gave Geri an apology.

It comes as BBC Breakfast staff defended their ‘overwhelmingly loved’ boss under fire from Naga – and claimed ‘he’s not a bully at all and the truth will come out’

A source has told The Sun: ‘Everyone noticed the interview was becoming quite awkward and then when Geri referenced Naga’s life directly things got really frosty.

‘Geri isn’t used to that kind of approach and felt ambushed, it unnerved her.

‘A few people apologised afterwards for Naga being a cow to her and then Geri made it clear she didn’t want to be interviewed by them again in future.’

MailOnline have contacted BBC representatives for comment.

At the time Geri appeared on the breakfast show to promote her latest novel and was outlining the ‘rules’ behind her drive.

She began: ‘First rule: have courage, take the chance you fear the most,’ pointing at Naga she added ‘which you did.’

The interview came just days after Naga had appeared before MPs to say she was ‘never taken seriously’ by doctors over her uterus condition.

Geri then continued: ‘Second rule, united we stand, we need each other. Third rule, never give up, be of service, be useful. Fourth rule, if you don’t like these rules, make up your own.’

It was revealed last week that under-fire editor Richard Frediani (pictured) has reportedly taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of b::lly1ng and misc0nduct allegations was opened into the show

It comes as BBC Breakfast staff defended their ‘overwhelmingly loved’ boss under fire from Naga – and claimed ‘he’s not a bully at all and the truth will come out’.

It was revealed last week that editor Richard Frediani has reportedly taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of b::lly1ng and misc0nduct allegations was opened into the show.

It was previously claimed that the show’s staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, and just last week it was claimed that Naga and other presenters no longer speak to their ‘loathed’ boss.

But now some have rushed to defend Frediani.

One of those members of staff told The Mirror: ‘He is not a bully at all and the truth will come out.

‘He’s a great boss and was – and is still – overwhelmingly loved by the team, who respect his drive, expertise, and journalistic ambition.

‘He has delivered great audiences and the first ever Bafta for Breakfast. He can be brash and opinionated but works so hard for his team and allows people to flourish.’

Another said: ‘Yes, he is old-school and can rub people up the wrong way but it’s always in the pursuit of great television.

‘It’s the best-rating breakfast show in the country – it’s not supposed to be a walk in the park.

‘Some – Naga included – need to understand this. It feels like it’s a case of presenter power turfing out a brilliant journalist.’

A BBC spokesperson said: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.’

Last week the BBC have reportedly launched a b::lly1ng probe into BBC Breakfast, which has been branded ‘toxic’ behind the scenes in the latest crisis for the corporation.

Back in April, MailOnline exclusively revealed some staff had expressed unhappiness with the show’s editor Richard Frediani, accusing him of being on occasion ‘aggr3ssive’ and ‘b3l1ttling’ towards his underlings.

Should the BBC have aplogised to Geri?

Now, tensions are said to be ‘rife’ between hosts and Charlie and Naga, who has already expressed her uneasiness about Frediani’s behaviour, with the probe said to have left the newsroom ‘divided’.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘To the viewer BBC Breakfast is a warm, gentle programme, one that is flourishing in the ratings. But beyond the cosy red sofa it is a very different picture.

‘Several people — crew, production and even presenters — have been very unhappy’.

‘Tension between Charlie and Naga is rife.

‘Fredi is very old-school and has some slightly tyrann1cal t3ndencies.

‘He is very cerebral but also quite aggr3ssive in his methods. Some people think a recent promotion has gone to his head’.

‘Meanwhile, Naga, who is passionate about speaking up if she believes something is wrong, has spoken to people who are unhappy.

‘Formal complaints have been lodged, so the BBC has to be seen to act.

‘The probe has really divided the newsroom’.

More recently BBC Breakfast staff have reportedly compared the studio to ‘the Hunger Games’ after an internal review of b::lly1ng and misc0nduct allegations was opened into the show.

BBC Breakfast has been on our screens since 2000 and Fredani joined the show in 2019.

Grace said: ‘I got the call, I was coming out the chemist in east London, I got a call, they said “It’s going to be you”… I did, I had a little cry.

‘Sorry, this is getting deep very quickly, both of my parents are gone and I know this is a job they would understand.

‘All the other jobs we have, you know, you end up ringing and going “I’ve got this” and they go “Love, I think it’s good. I have no idea what you are talking about”.

‘With MasterChef, my mother especially, she would have been really happy.’

Grace told the panel: ‘It has been my dream job since I was a little girl.

‘And I’ve had my eye on hat prize wanting it, but you never think you’re going to get chosen!

‘When I felt there might be some movement, there might be a role…

‘I wanted it, I wanted it. I put the feelers out.

‘But I wasn’t going to believe it until I was standing there, smiling at scallops with the dress on, the bra on, everything, the high heels.

    ‘I am so happy.’

Grace is best known for being a journalist, author, broadcaster and food critic.

Grace Dent talks about joining MasterChef on This Morning

Grace’s career in food had a very unlikely beginning at Southwaite service station on the M6.

And speaking on the new Mercedes-Benz Vans Under the Bonnet podcast, she told how she had to grit her teeth while racking up food bills as an ’18-year old in an egg-stained uniform.’

She told host Scott Mills: ‘I’m going to let you into a secret, I worked at a service station. I worked at Southwaite service station on the M6.

‘Everybody in my sixth form used to try and work there part time. If you got the job, you had to do very early shifts. They would pick you up in a mini-bus just to make sure you got there.

‘They’d take you at about 5am, off down the M6, and disperse you to different parts of the service station. You never knew where you were going to go.

‘You could end up on the teapoint – where you stand and just make cups of tea all day, being splashed by scalding liquids, boiling water, all day.

‘Or you might be doing the tables. Or you might have to go and work in the shop. You were never on the same thing.

‘The worst job? Toting up the food bill at the till in the restaurant, because everybody started kicking off about the price.

‘As if you, this 18-year-old girl in an egg-stained uniform, got up that morning and made up the prices – as if I decided how much tea and scones would be.

‘People did really kick off. It felt like every single person that came to the till, I would go: ‘Four pounds, 95,’ and they’d go: ‘I’ve only had a cup of tea…”
