“Kelsey says, ‘He was born sleeping,’ just a week before her due date. It’s awful when you think that poor woman has been through so much, her and her family.”
Lorraine added that she’s sending the family her love after the heartbreaking news. “I know how much she was looking forward to that and I can’t being to image what she’s going through,” she added.
Kelsey announced last night that her third child was st1llb0rn – a little boy named Phoenix.
The podcast host was expecting her first child with partner Will Lindsay, after finding love again three years on from the d3ath of her husband Tom Parker.
Sharing a tribute to her late son on Instagram, Kelsey wrote shared a moving poem titled, For Phoenix.
“Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be loved,” she said, while the poem read: “The world grew quiet as you arrived, So loved, so longed for, yet not alive. Our precious boy, our angel light, Born with wings, took silent flight.
“We named you Phoenix, brave and bright. A soul of love, of warmth and light Though we never heard you cry, You’ll live in hearts that won’t ask why. No breath you drew, no eyes to see, Still, you mean everything to me. You’ll journey with us, softly near, In every sigh, in every tear.”
In a second Instagram story, Kelsey asked fans to give her time to process the news. “Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heartfelt wishes, I wanted to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share.
“But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news. I love you all and thank you for your understanding and space. Love always, Kelsey, Will, and the Parker Family.”

Lorraine Kelly has slammed Lime bikes after Dame Joan Collins recently lashed out at the “loutish” cyclists using them. The ITV presenter was discussing Dame Joan’s recent criticism of Lime users who park their bikes on London pavements on this morning’s show.
The 92-year-old Hollywood star recently posted a photo of herself in a sea of Lime bikes on Instagram, writing: “#shocked about the #loutish behaviour of @lime #bicycle users #pavementsareforpedestrians #limebike.” Speaking about Dame Joan’s post, Lorraine said: “Good for her!”

When informed that Lime bikes don’t have a docking station and can be parked in certain areas, Lorraine said: “That’s daft.” She later said: “There should be docking places for people to put them back but don’t just leave them lying around. It’s indicative of the fact that people just throw their rubbish everywhere.
“People graffiti. People don’t care. Horrible. They don’t give a monkeys.”

Earlier this week, Lorraine sent an emotional message to Kelsey Parker live on air after the heartbreaking loss of her newborn Phoenix. Speaking to viewers during Monday’s show, Lorraine said: “We’ve got some very sad news for you this morning. That there is Kelsey Parker and her partner Will. Kelsey has been on the show many times. They very sadly announced the d3ath of their baby son.”
Lorraine added that she’s sending the family her love after the tragic news. “I know how much she was looking forward to that and I can’t being to image what she’s going through,” she said.
Earlier this month, Lorraine appeared to drop a defiant hint to ITV bosses about her plans to fight for her show amid upcoming cuts, saying that she’s “not done yet”.
As part of ITV’s latest cuts to their daytime offerings, Lorraine’s show will be slashed to 30 weeks a year and will air for just 30 minutes instead of an hour.
In her first interview since the news broke, Lorraine said in response to being told that she’s a national treasure: “Well, that’s nice, but it’s only because I’ve been around for so long. I’ve been doing telly for over 40 years. It’s mad isn’t it? It’s absolutely crazy. I started in breakfast telly in 1984, and I’m still getting away with it. Extraordinarily.
“40 years in TV last year was incredible. I got a BAFTA. ‘Here’s a BAFTA for being alive.’ I thought, ‘Hang on a minute, I’m not done yet.’”

“It Wasn’t My Choice” – Emmerdale’s Daisy Campbell breaks silence, reveals Sh0cking Details of Secret Meeting that forced her to leave in bitterness and regret!
A former Emmerdale star will appear on BBC(Image: ITV)
A former Emmerdale star is set for their on-screen return to a rival channel. It comes months after their exit from the ITV soap.
Daisy Campbell is recognisable for her role as Amelia Spencer on the Yorkshire-based soap. However, she is switching channels this weekend and will appear on the BBC’s Casualty.
The 21-year-old actress will make an appearance on the long-running medical soap in a guest role capacity. The surprising news will see Daisy play the part of Georgina Birch on the show. However, little is known of her role with details being tightly guarded until the day of the episodes.
Daisy featured in Emmerdale for 13 years
The latest role is her first big-screen appearance since her Emmerdale exit last year. She had been in the village for 13 years, but her character was axed after all relatives and connections were also gone.
Speaking ahead of her exit last year, she insisted the move wasn’t her choice. In a chat with us last October, she said the shock d3cision wouldn’t have been the one she had wanted.
Daisy, who was just eight when she joined the hit soap as Amelia, admitted she had been secretly struggling since she was called into a covert meeting and told her last scenes would air just before Christmas.
She explained: “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.”
Daisy Campbell will appear on Casualty(Image: WireImage)
She went on: “Once they explained, I totally got it. “Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn’t have any family.
“There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.”
Speaking about how co-stars and friends, Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham, were the only ones to know about her exit in the build-up, she said: “They were upset for me but so supportive. I didn’t tell the rest of the cast my news initially as I wanted the time to process everything. I n33ded time to gri3ve the part of Amelia.”
And she admitted producers took the d3cision out of her hands, but said they “done me a favour”. She added: “I would never have left if they hadn’t decided there was no longer anywhere to take Amelia.
“I am glad it was their choice and not mine. I see it as a big positive now because it is such a great chance to push myself, start a new chapter away from Emmerdale and take on hopefully some new parts. I am really excited about what lies ahead.”

‘I wondered where you were this morning!’
‘That looks lovely. Missed you being with Sally this morning.’
‘You deserve it… and the weather was glorious for you!’
‘Looks wonderful.’
Jon became a permanent member on the BBC Breakfast team in 2022 and has been part of the Beeb since 2014.
His absence comes after Naga Munchetty was reportedly accused of blly1ng a member of staff.
The presenter, 50, who is already at the centre of BBC Breakfast’s toxicity row, was also reportedly spoken to by bosses over a s3x jibe she made while off-air at BBC Radio 5 Live.
Naga’s representatives have been approached for comment and it is unclear whether she will rebut the claims in The Sun.
This comes as BBC Breakfast finds itself at the centre of a blly1ng and misconduct probe, with editor Richard Frediani taking an extended period of leave after an internal review of the allegations was opened into the show.
According to The Sun, Naga used a slang term for a s3x act during an off-air break.
The alleged remark in 2022 was said to have stunned the studio and led to Naga being spoken to by bosses.

It was then reported that on BBC Breakfast last year, Naga was spoken to over alleged blly1ng of a woman.
The BBC are now reportedly facing questions over whether there are ‘double standards’.
When contacted by MailOnline, a BBC spokesperson said: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.’
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Naga Munchetty for comment.
It comes as it was also reported that BBC Breakfast’s editor Richard Frediani has taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of blly1ng and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.
It was previously claimed that the show’s staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, with the former Head of ITV News accused of ‘shaking’ a female editor while working on the show.
The Sun claimed that Richard has stepped back from the show, and while he had already taken time off to go on holiday, has mutually agreed to extend his break.
Sources are also claiming that BBC bosses have held a series of meetings on how to handle the developing crisis.

It comes as it was reported that BBC Breakfast’s editor Richard Frediani has taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of blly1ng allegations was opened into the show
In an internal email obtained by the publication, John McAndrew, Director of Live and Daily News, thanked staff for their ‘positivity’ during this ‘stressful time’ – and informed them of Richard’s decision.
A source added: ‘Fredi was already taking a break because obviously the allegations against him have been pretty damning, and he needed time to reflect.
‘He’s devastated by some of the claims and has also had a lot of behind the scenes support from colleagues, many of whom think he’s a brilliant boss.
‘BBC executives have ensured duty of care measures and he is still in touch with a few of the team. Right now, it’s imperative that the BBC gets its house in order and ensures everyone is happy.’
When contacted by MailOnline, a BBC representative said: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously and will not tolerate behaviour that is not in line with our values.
‘We have robust processes in place and would encourage any staff with concerns to raise them directly with us so they can be addressed.’
On Thursday, Deadline reported that a consultant had been drafted in to help steer an internal review of blly1ng and misconduct allegations on BBC Breakfast.
Staff have been approached about sharing their experiences, according to people familiar with the process.

It was claimed that staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, with tensions between hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga also reportedly at a high
Are misconduct claims taken seriously enough?
It had previously been reported earlier this week that a blly1ng probe had been opened into BBC’s flagship Breakfast show, with the investigation set to look into claims dating back as far as 2019.
A source told The Sun: ‘To the viewer BBC Breakfast is a warm, gentle programme, one that is flourishing in the ratings. But beyond the cosy red sofa it is a very different picture. Several people — crew, production and even presenters — have been very unhappy’.
‘Tension between Charlie and Naga is rife. Fredi is very old-school and has some slightly tyrannical tendencies. He is very cerebral but also quite aggressive in his methods. Some people think a recent promotion has gone to his head’.
‘Meanwhile, Naga, who is passionate about speaking up if she believes something is wrong, has spoken to people who are unhappy. Formal complaints have been lodged, so the BBC has to be seen to act. The probe has really divided the newsroom’.
They went on to claim that some believe Fredani, known as Fredi, is simply doing his job others think his methods are ‘too tough’ for 2025.
It comes following a difficult few years for the BBC, with Huw Edwards pleading guilty to having indecent images of children, Jermaine Jenas axed after a s3xting scandal and Gary Lineker’s departure from the channel after becoming embroiled in a controversial row over antisemitism.
An insider told MailOnline in April that Munchetty is ‘quite open’ about her ill-feeling towards Frediani. Another said that she has an ‘uneasy relationship’ with him.
The Mail revealed that displeasure was intensifying at the BBC’s northern base in Salford, where staff have watched Frediani’s rise – from Breakfast boss to arguably the most powerful BBC editor outside London – with growing disbelief.
One said: ‘You have to wonder what on earth is going on. The BBC claims to be this no-nonsense, woke, kind place – yet Fredi has been able to keep climbing the ladder. HR and his bosses are aware of [past] blly1ng claims against him.

It’s now being reported that Richard has stepped back from the show, and while he had already taken time off to go on holiday, has mutually agreed to extend his break
‘He’s still allowed to hire, as we saw with Nina [Warhurst, who has just been appointed a regular presenter] this week, and presumably fire. He has so much power, it doesn’t feel right at all.’
The ordeal began, when media and entertainment industry news site Deadline alleged that Frediani was the subject of at least two misconduct complaints, including one from a woman who had her grievance upheld after claiming that the Breakfast editor physically shook her during a heated newsroom exchange last year.
Others also came forward with their experiences. One person claimed to have witnessed an incident in 2019, during which a ‘clearly angry’ Richard backed a Breakfast colleague up against a wall and was ‘jabbing his finger’ as he voiced displeasure about that morning’s show.
The website reports that two sources alleged that Frediani is also known for ‘screaming’ down the phone at other BBC News desks and complaining about the quality of content they hand over to the Breakfast show.
Whether these allegations were upheld or dismissed is not known.
There was widespread internal dissatisfaction with Frediani in 2020, less than a year into his reign as editor of BBC Breakfast, after he was poached from ITV News.
During the pandemic, MailOnline’s Katie Hind was inundated with anonymous emails from staff at BBC Breakfast which said a series of complaints have been made to the corporation’s management and its HR department about an ‘intimidating and blly1ng’ culture, which had led to long-term members of staff leaving their jobs.
One employee, who wished to remain anonymous, said ‘the whole atmosphere has become poisonous’ and like a ‘boys’ club’. Again, it is unclear whether these allegations were upheld or dismissed.
After the story was published in The Mail on Sunday, a number of people who had worked with Frediani got in.
They said he was unpleasant to them during his tenure at ITV where he served as head of news. They were devastated – but not surprised – to hear that there were allegations that he had gone on to behave ‘aggressively’ in his new role.
One wrote: ‘I read your piece about Richard Frediani, recognising a lot of his character. I and others who suffered under him at ITV expected this would happen.’
So why, despite these claims about his behaviour at work, did Frediani continue to rise through the ranks?
The answer appears to lie with the Beeb’s current chief executive of news, Deborah Turness. As CEO of ITN until 2022, she was Frediani’s boss and they latterly joined up again when she joined the corporation.
Sources at the BBC say she was ‘involved’ in his rise to become the boss of News at One – though senior sources at the Corporation strongly deny it, insisting it was not a promotion but an addition to his existing job. The BBC would not answer questions over whether he’d had a pay rise.
BBC Breakfast staff have said that they are far from happy that Turness is still backing Frediani.
‘There is no way she hasn’t heard what we have all heard,’ says one insider. ‘It was written about as far back as 2020 so surely she must have seen that.’

The Mail had previously revealed that displeasure was intensifying at the BBC’s northern base in Salford, where staff have watched Frediani’s rise with growing disbelief
Tim Davie, the director-general, has said he wants the management consultancy leading the review to make practical recommendations about how managers can create a culture where there is ‘zero tolerance’ for wrongdoing.
The BBC said that it did not comment on individual HR issues. However, it stressed that the welfare of its employees takes priority, and it takes any complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.
After allegations about Frediani’s behaviour were made, staff at Breakfast and News at One were emailed by John McAndrew, BBC News director of programmes, to remind them about the corporation’s approach to complaints of wrongdoing.
‘With regard to culture and behaviour – and this stands for all of our teams across the organisation – please be assured that if, or when, any allegations of any inappropriate behaviour come to me, they will be taken seriously, comprehensively investigated, and if upheld, action will be taken,’ he wrote.
However one BBC source contested this statement, saying: ‘The BBC claim to be such a wonderful employer and look after their staff.
‘But it seems that’s more likely to be the case if you are in the gang.’

It comes after Thursday’s episode of the ITV breakfast news show saw Kate Garraway, 58, with co-host Adil Ray, 51, report a particularly sad story to viewers.
It was about British grandmother Yvonne Ford, 59, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, who sadly di3d from rabies this week.
Kate explained: ‘Did you see this extraordinary story about a woman, she was scratched very slightly by a stray dog whilst on holiday in February, that long ago, in Morocco.
‘It wasn’t even a particularly bad one at the time. It didn’t seem to be infected. Then two weeks ago, she started to feel very unwell, has now passed away.’
Before making an ill-timed quip, she added: ‘It’s made people very conscious because rabies is something we don’t think about very much. It is astonishing.’
It came as she mentioned TV doctor Hilary Jones, 72, who often appears on the show for health and wellbeing segments.
She said: ‘I mean, what the doctors say, if I can do my Dr Hilary at the moment for a bit, is make sure you get an inoculation.
‘But also, if you have any kind of scratch from any kind of wild animal or animal abroad, get treatments right away, because then it can be stopped.’

Rabies – which is passed on through injuries such as bites and scratches from an infected animal – is nearly always fatal.
It typically takes between three to 12 weeks for symptoms to show but can also take longer in some cases.
Viewers picked up on Kate’s jokey reference to pretending to be Dr Hilary and felt the tone was not tasteful given the nature of the story.
“I DON’T CARE” – BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty HITS BACK live on air at Public Pressure and Criticism!
The news presenter, 50, recently featured on Emily Dean’s podcast Walking The Dog With Emily Dean.
She opened up about medical misogyny and how she handles criticism while being in the public eye.
Emily asked Naga how being known by so many people from her work on the BBC impacts her personally.
She said: ‘Firstly this is not a woe is me conversation but what happens is you are mindful of your behaviour in public more so than I think most people who aren’t on air. Not that I want to go and, I don’t know, take a dump in public or something like that.
‘But look, when you work for the BBC or work for any organisation, you are representing them because people recognise you.

‘And if you’re seen as the face of the BBC, you unconsciously, but necessarily uphold certain values.’
She added: ‘When you watch Breakfast, you feel like you’ve got some trusted friends who are getting you through the day and through the news.
‘There would be a slight disappointment, I think if you saw me, rip roaring drunk, rolling around the floor and shouting profanities.’
The broadcaster admitted she does ‘watch’ herself because of that.
Later on in the conversation, Naga revealed that she felt having a public profile ‘amplified’ things ‘really quickly’.
‘Things can be amplified really quickly when you have a public profile and being criticised, people don’t think really,’ she explained.
‘People believe they can say whatever they want to say and hurt and not think if they’re hurting someone’s feelings and not think if what they’re doing is actually productive or just saying things for the sake of things.’
Naga revealed she has even had members of the public approach her and make comments about her.

She said: ‘I’ve had people come up to me saying, ‘I don’t like you on telly. Your radio show’s, all right, it’s quite interesting, but I don’t like you on telly. I never watch you’.’
Though Naga has changed the way she responds to such situations.
‘I kind of don’t even rise to it now. I don’t engage in it. Whereas before, I think when I was younger, I’d have said, ‘what don’t you like?’ I don’t care,’ Naga said.
‘You think your opinion is so important that you get to tell me you don’t like me? Some stranger, I’m a stranger to you. Or people who just say, ‘I don’t like what you’re wearing today.’ Alright, I’m not wearing it for you, I’m just wearing clothes … They’ve chosen to say something about me and it’s affecting me. I can’t be comparing myself to everyone else.’
Naga revealed other things people have said to her including, ‘The best thing people say is, ‘Oh, you’re not as fat as you look on telly.’
She went on to recall how a woman recognised her in public once and commented ‘on the television you look so wide, so wide on the television’ and asked her ‘What size are you?’.
Naga added: ‘Now I would not blink at having that conversation. I probably even told her my size … and I was so polite, whereas now I’d say, ‘I don’t think I need to tell you what size clothes I wear, do I?’.

It comes as BBC Breakfast staff defended their ‘overwhelmingly loved’ boss under fire from Naga – and claimed ‘he’s not a bully at all and the truth will come out’.
It was revealed last week that editor Richard Frediani has reportedly taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of bullying and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.
It was previously claimed that the show’s staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, and just last week it was claimed that Naga and other presenters no longer speak to their ‘loathed’ boss.
But now some have rushed to defend Frediani.
One of those members of staff told The Mirror: ‘He is not a bully at all and the truth will come out.
‘He’s a great boss and was – and is still – overwhelmingly loved by the team, who respect his drive, expertise, and journalistic ambition.

It was revealed last week that under-fire editor Richard Frediani (pictured) has reportedly taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of bullying and misconduct allegations was opened into the show
‘He has delivered great audiences and the first ever Bafta for Breakfast.
‘He can be brash and opinionated but works so hard for his team and allows people to flourish.’
Another said: ‘Yes, he is old-school and can rub people up the wrong way but it’s always in the pursuit of great television.
‘It’s the best-rating breakfast show in the country – it’s not supposed to be a walk in the park.
‘Some – Naga included – need to understand this. It feels like it’s a case of presenter power turfing out a brilliant journalist.’
A BBC spokesperson said: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.’
Last week the BBC have reportedly launched a bullying probe into BBC Breakfast, which has been branded ‘toxic’ behind the scenes in the latest crisis for the corporation.
Back in April, MailOnline exclusively revealed some staff had expressed unhappiness with the show’s editor Richard Frediani, accusing him of being on occasion ‘aggressive’ and ‘belittling’ towards his underlings.

BBC Breakfast rocked by ‘bullying probe’ in latest crisis for corporation
Now, tensions are said to be ‘rife’ between hosts and Charlie Stayt and Naga, who has already expressed her uneasiness about Frediani’s behaviour, with the probe said to have left the newsroom ‘divided’.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘To the viewer BBC Breakfast is a warm, gentle programme, one that is flourishing in the ratings. But beyond the cosy red sofa it is a very different picture.
‘Several people — crew, production and even presenters — have been very unhappy’.
‘Tension between Charlie and Naga is rife.
‘Fredi is very old-school and has some slightly tyrannical tendencies.
‘He is very cerebral but also quite aggressive in his methods. Some people think a recent promotion has gone to his head’.
‘Meanwhile, Naga, who is passionate about speaking up if she believes something is wrong, has spoken to people who are unhappy.

‘Formal complaints have been lodged, so the BBC has to be seen to act.
‘The probe has really divided the newsroom’.
More recently BBC Breakfast staff have reportedly compared the studio to ‘the Hunger Games’ after an internal review of bullying and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.
BBC Breakfast has been on our screens since 2000 and Fredani joined the show in 2019.
Could these be the 3 Reasons why Jasmine Harman is more loved by viewers than her colleague Laura Hamilton?
A Place In The Sun fans were left stunned as host Jasmine Harman shared a rare picture with her husband and two children.
Jasmine, 49, has been a long-standing presenter of the Channel 4 property show since 2004.
The TV star relocated to Estepona, Spain with her family in 2023 after purchasing a Spanish villa.
She continues to host A Place In The Sun whilst balancing life abroad with her husband Jon Boast and children Albion and Joy.
Over the weekend, Jasmine shared a photograph with her family beaming at the camera and some fans were shocked by the resemblance her children share with their mother.
She captioned the post with, ‘Happy summer solstice!’ and people rushed to comment, stunned by the strong family resemblance.

‘Lovely photo daughter looks a lot like you. Enjoy seeing you on A Place In The Sun,’ another chimed in.
A third chimed in: ‘Absolute dead ringers for you.’
While others complimented the photo and said: ‘Lovely family picture Jasmine.’
‘Such a lovely photo,’ someone else penned, followed by a heart eye emoji.
Another added: ‘Beautiful family you have.’
The TV presenter previously announced her relocation to Spain on Instagram, describing the move as ‘stressful’ and ‘intense’.
‘Life has many ups and downs. Sometimes the hardest things to do, bring the greatest rewards.

‘Moving country has been stressful and intense and at times, overwhelming. But now we’re here and we plan to make the most of it!’
After making the move to the continent, the TV presenter also revealed that she had adopted a stray kitten.
She shared on Instagram: ‘Family news! We have a new addition! Over the holidays, a friend of ours found a kitten all alone by some bins.
‘We have taken her in, she’s now called Hazel and she’s adapting amazingly to life with a family.’
In an interview with Hello, Jasmine explained that she made the move to spend more time with her children, as she felt the years were slipping away in the UK.
The TV host explained that there were more opportunities in Spain for her two youngsters, and also added that she loved the sense of community.
‘Our children mean the world to us. Everything we do is for them. It’s about grasping opportunities when you have them,’ she added.
‘Family is the most important thing and this will give us a much better balance.’

Meanwhile, Jasmine recently told the Express about one particularly awful experience she had on the show.
Jasmine revealed she once presented an episode which saw a house hunter find their dream home among the options she selected.
As fans of the show will know, finding the right property for the buyers – who often have big dreams and a specific vision – is not always a guarantee, so she was elated to have been successful.
But it all came crashing down when, as she helped the guest make an offer on the property, Jasmine was told the horrifying news it had already been sold to someone else.
Having not previously been informed about this, she said everyone – herself, the buyer and the whole Channel 4 team – was ‘crushed’.
She explained: ‘It was just absolutely awful.
‘Can you imagine? You’re just on the cusp of making that amazing life-changing decision and someone pulls the rug out from under you. It was horrible.’

While the buyer was the one hurt in that particular episode, Jasmine added they can sometimes be the ones who cause the hassle in other cases.
The host remembered some particular guests on the show who refused to even step foot inside a property she had chosen for them, in Co Mayo, Ireland.
Even after she then pointed out it was the only freehold property within their budget, they still refused to take a look.
Jasmine also confessed that it frustrates her sometimes when buyers get obsessive over extremely small details.
“WHAT? What did you say? Are you sure? – The EASIEST QUESTION in The Chase history – BUT the contestant’s answer left UK viewers totally sh0cked.”
The Chase fans were left ‘screaming at the screen’ as a contestant fumbled a ‘ridiculously easy’ question on a recent episode of the ITV game show.
The repeat instalment, shown earlier this week, saw Justin from Manchester, Reanna from Liverpool, Nicola from Nottingham and Matthew from Leeds take on the game.
They were up against Shaun Wallace AKA The Dark Destroyer as they competed against the expert quizzer in a bid to take home the cash prize.
Justin was first up to the podium, supported by host Bradley Walsh, 65 – but he was soon caught out and eliminated before reaching the final round.
Reanna came next, building up a solid £4,000 during the cash builder quick-fire round – so things were looking good for the contestant.
But the final question she faced – since dubbed ‘ridiculously easy’ by fans – during the main Chase itself saw her taken out too.

Bradley asked her: ‘In legend, how did the basilisk kl its prey?’
He was referring to a serpent-like monster from Greek and Roman mythology which can kl with a stare.
But it was made more famous after it was included in the second Harry Potter book, as the terrifying magical beast living in the titular Chamber of Secrets.
The options Reanna was given were ‘stinging’, ‘shouting’ and ‘staring’.
Sadly, though, she missed the correct answer of ‘staring’ and found herself eliminated from the game.
Viewers took to social media to express their frustration at her missing what could have been an easy win in their eyes.
One said, the Express reports: ‘She’s clearly never watched Harry Potter.’
Another commented, ‘These questions are ridiculous!’, while someone replied: ‘Ridiculously easy? I quite agree.’

People were exasperated by the moment when the episode first aired back in 2023
People were exasperated by the moment when the episode first aired back in 2023 too: ‘Everyone who had read/watched Harry Potter is screaming right now.’;
‘Nah, I’m screaming, that was easy!’;
‘I guess she didn’t watch Potter!’
But while fans at home felt it was straightforward, even Bradley himself seemed shock to discover that ‘staring’ was the right answer, saying incredulously: ‘Really?’
Elsewhere in the episode, Justin and Reanna’s fellow contestant Matthew also went on to be knocked out in the first round.
This left Nicola to face The Dark Destroyer alone in the final – but she was unfortunately caught by him, with one minute and eight seconds left on the clock.
It comes just after Shaun, usually seen with a rather stony demeanour on The Chase, admitted ‘life has not been easy’ in a rare emotional social media post.
The Dark Destroyer took to X to mark his 65th birthday with a video of him out out at sea at Poole Harbour in Dorset.

He said: ‘Today is my 65th birthday. Life’s not been that easy sometimes, just like this boat – rocking up and down.
‘But I’m here to tell the tale. I hope I’ve got many more years to come.’
Shaun captioned the post: ‘I’m very grateful for reaching my 65th birthday today.
‘My life has not been easy but I’ve never given up.
‘I’ve worked hard, been persistent and have learnt valuable lessons from the multiple times I have failed.
‘A genuine thank you to all my followers, I will do my best to inspire, motivate and entertain for the rest of my life.
‘Have an amazing day… I intend to.’
Many rushed to the comments section to send him some birthday wishes.
