It was a joyous day for the GMA family on Friday as they delivered some sweet news. At the end of the show, ahead of the weekend, Michael Strahan revealed that one of their own had welcomed a baby girl.

Michael announced: “Great news for the GMA family,” before confirming that one of their senior producers, Brittany Berkowitz, had given birth to a girl named Emerson.

 He added that despite arriving five weeks early, “Everyone is happy and healthy,” and his co-hosts for the day, George Stephanopoulos and Eva Pilgrim shared their support too.

As a father-of-four, Michael will be no stranger to baby announcements, although his children are now all grown up.

In fact, his two youngest, twins Sofia and Isabella, are about to leave home for college. Isabella has earned herself a place at the University of South California and Sophia is headed for Duke University in North Carolina.

The news will be a bittersweet pill for Michael to swallow as his “babies” leaving home will make him an empty-nester. Last year, he said he was “not ready” for his twins to grow up.

 Sharing a rare snapshot of himself with his daughter on the special day, George penned: “Happy graduation day to my youngest,” alongside a heart emoji. George’s wife, Ali Wentworth, was equally proud, sharing several photos from the big day on her own Instagram page.

She wrote: “The baby daughter is launched! A perpetually optimistic, joyful, generous, empathetic, fun-loving, and wise human is spreading her wings! Bursting with love and pride! P.S. You know she is my daughter because she ran out after she graduated and got an ice cream cone across the street.”

Ginger simply responded with a love heart emoji. Fans also sent messages to the family. “Congratulations to her! It takes a lot of hard work to make it to this point, and she (plus Mom and Dad!) should be very proud!,” one wrote, while another remarked: “Congratulations Harper, watch out world!”

Ginger Zee constantly serves as one of our main fashion inspirations, and the popular Good Morning America host blew us away when she took to her Instagram Stories to share one very unexpected outfit.

The mom-of-two had been meeting with stars from Outlander and so she got into the swing of things with a period-appropriate gown. Ginger looked like she was right back in the 1700s with an elegant blue ballgown as she curtsied to the camera. The striking dress featured a plunging neckline and the star joked: “Maybe I should wear this on Friday to moderate.”

Earlier in the day, Ginger had met with the show’s main stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe as she revealed that she would be the moderator on their panel discussion at the Tribeca Film Festival on Friday.

When she met the duo, Ginger could not have looked more different as she wowed in a beautiful black mini dress that she added a flashy pair of strappy heels to in order to complete her ensemble.

The 42-year-old was smiling as she posed for two photos in a tailored bright white suit and vest which showed off a glimpse of her tanned and toned midriff. In her caption, the California-born star who is married to fellow TV host Ben Aaron, revealed her whole look was borrowed from her friend and GMA co-host Eva Pilgrim for a special environmentally conscious reason.

“I’m still on the #nonewclothes challenge,” she explained, before adding celebratorily: “It will be one year in June!”In fact, the star announced her sustainability focused clothing pledge in late-May 2022. “I am now taking the #NoNewClothes pledge. No buying NEW (we can consignment/vintage shop),” she said. The purpose of her pledge is to shed light on the dangerous consequences fast fashion and mass consumption have on our planet.

Taking to her Instagram last year, Ginger revealed that she hoped to reduce her carbon footprint through taking part in the challenge for 90 days. “Seems easy,” she explained, but then she revealed the shocking statistic that: “The average American buys 16 new items of clothing every 3 months! 2,000 items are thrown away every SECOND in the United States.

The meteorologist’s passion for her challenge – which has now lasted for almost a year – was much admired by her fans on Friday, with many taking to her comments section to thank her for using her platform to share about climate conscious initiatives, as well as to compliment her for her fabulous fit. “A thrifty Queen,” one wrote adoringly.

Robin and Amber balance time together while also spending time in their different homes, with the former spending a majority of her time at her apartment in New York City to be closer to work.

Meanwhile, Amber lives at their country home in Connecticut, where Robin heads to on weekends. In her 2014 book, Everybody’s Got Something, she even wrote: “Amber and I have been a loving couple for almost ten years now, but we choose not to live together. She did head off on vacation earlier in the month with Amber and her GMA co-hosts Gio and Sam Champion to Turks and Caicos, plus their respective spouses Tommy DiDario and Rubem Robierb respectively, all after a Taylor Swift concert at the Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.

Robin was forced to leave the group early, though, jetting off to the Apple Park in Cupertino, California for the launch of the Apple Vision Pro.

Ginger Zee doesn’t appear to have aged a day! The Good Morning America host took to Instagram to celebrate throwback Thursday with a snapshot alongside her lookalike cousin.

Not only do they look identical but Ginger’s fans were left in disbelief at the fact she hasn’t changed.

In the image, both women wore matching strappy vests, and jeans. They beamed for the camera and wore their hair slicked back in twinning ponytails.

Ginger recently celebrated her mom, Dawn Zuidgeest-Craft’s 70th birthday and it was another family affair. Once again taking to social media, Ginger shared several photos of her mom along with a moving tribute to the special ‘one of a kind’ woman.

“Raise your hand if your mom turns 70 today!” She then continued: “Now raise your hand if your 70 year old mom decided to retire from a half a century career as a neonatal nurse practitioner and professor of nursing and go to medical school because she always wanted to… Wait, no one else?”

Following her cnc3r diagnosis in 2013 after undergoing a live mammogram on her show, Amy turned to the keto diet, which is a high fat, low carb diet which involves burning ketones (fat) rather than glucose (sugar). The TV star also practices intermittent fasting and has described her strict diet as “freedom” because it made her feel more in control of her health and helped her regain confidence in her body.

“I’m proud of it, I work hard for it. I’m 47 years old, had two children, and battled cnc3r, I have scars to prove all of those things. Little fruit is eaten on the keto diet but berries are acceptable in small quantities, which is why Amy will snack on a cup of them following her main morning meal.

Amy has a vegetable garden at her New York home so grows a lot of her own fruits and vegetables which she will use to make a salad for lunch. Michael then added: “If @landonorris needs me to fill in I’d happily accept but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll fit in the car.”

He posted a photo of himself in high spirits in the pits with actor and comedian Terry Crews by his side. Michael was also flanked by girlfriend, Kayla Quick, who appears to be stepping out more frequently with her longtime boyfriend in recent months.

Prior to welcoming his twin daughters, with his ex-wife Jean Muggli in 2004, the former NFL star had already become a father with the birth of his daughter Tanita Strahan, and son, Michael Anthony Strahan Jr.

The TV personality is gearing up for a difficult change at home, as soon both Isabella and Sophia will be flying the nest to attend college. This will make Michael an empty nester, as his older children, Michael Jr. and Tanita, who he shares with ex Wanda Hutchins, already live away from home.

This will be even more of an emotional time for Isabella and Sophia, who will be going to separate colleges. While Isabella will be based in California, Sophia will be attending Duke University in North Carolina.

In between his busy TV schedule, Michael will no doubt spend time visiting both his girls at their respective new homes.

His house will certainly feel quiet when Isabella and Sophia leave. The star lives in a beautiful apartment located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, close to the GMA studios, where he works each weekday morning.

While it will be empty and quiet without his girls at home, he will be kept company by his two beloved dogs, Enzo and Zuma. Zuma was a recent addition to the family, with the star introducing their new four-legged friend on social media earlier this year.

While the star loves meeting fans, when it comes to his downtime, he enjoys nothing more than going unnoticed in his neighbourhood.

Talking about the relaxed area of NYC during an interview with the New York Times, he said: “I like the Upper West Side, because, being a father, I like the family feel to it. you see mothers with strollers, people walking their dogs.

“One thing I love about the neighbourhood, when you go into places, it’s not like, ‘Michael!’ I’m another person who’s just there.”

As well as a home in NYC, Michael also has a property in LA, which will come in handy when visiting his daughter at USC.

She said: “It’s been a difficult weekend for those in Hawaii and our hearts continue to go out to them. In this morning’s message and prayer, keep them in mind, and others who are in need of help.”

Alongside the footage, she wrote: “Good morning. #GlamFam & I know it’s been a difficult weekend for many and our #MondayMotivation is dedicated to them.”

Fans were quick to comment on Robin’s post, with many thanking her for thinking of all those impacted by the devastating effects of the wildfir3s. “Good morning and thank you for this post today! I have a friend that I was trying to communicate this very sentiment to this weekend,” one wrote, while another remarked: “Thank you for your words today.”

The pair are gearing up for their wedding, which is thought to be taking place in early September. While Robin hasn’t disclosed the exact date, she recently told a fan on social media that it wasn’t happening in August, but that it was “close”.

“That’s more nerve-racking than the wedding and the marriage!” she said as she found out about the event last week on the show.

Over the weekend, Robin revealed she was getting ready to meet her wedding planner ahead of the big day, and was surprised with some beautiful flowers just before heading out.

Robin Roberts received some beautiful flowers ahead of her wedding prep meeting

Alongside a photo of a bouquet of flowers, the star wrote: “Sweet Amber & I received this lovely surprise from @thetaskforce wishing us well on our fast approaching nuptials.

“Appropriate we got this today since we’re about to meet with our fabu wedding planner to check out our florals for the ceremony and reception.”

In another post, the bride-to-be shared another lovely surprise she and Amber had received, this time from the Mayo Clinic.

She posted a picture of the Mayo Logo split with a picture of an indulgent looking dessert. “Attending Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees Meetings in Rochester,MN. At last night’s dinner Sweet Amber & I received a lovely surprise for our upcoming wedding!

“We so appreciate and love our Mayo family. Wishing all a wonderful weekend,” she wrote.

September will be a very special month for Robin Roberts who is set to tie the knot to Amber Laign.

On Wednesday, the GMA host announced on-air that it would be her last appearance on the show ahead of her big day. 

“This is my last day before the wedding,” she told viewers and her co-hosts who said they couldn’t wait to see her celebrate the long-awaited milestone.

 Robin and Amber’s day edges ever closer, and while they’ve confirmed it’ll take place next month, they haven’t revealed the actual day.

There have been plenty of parties for the pair already as Good Morning America gave them a bachelorette party and then both Robin and Amber set off for separate celebrations too.

During their epic on-air, pre-wedding gig Robin and Amber were joined by Michael Strahan, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer, as well as ABC anchors Deborah Roberts, Juju Chang and Martha Raddatz.

Also in attendance was The Rookie: Feds star Niecy Nash Betts and CBS’ Gayle King also appeared, plus legendary girl group En Vogue performed.

The happy couple haven’t given away many details about their wedding, but fans have speculated that it may take place in Robin’s “happy place” of Key West, Florida, where they regularly vacation.

They’re so excited to say ‘I Do’

Despite the fact they’ve been together for 18 years, they only got engaged at the beginning of the year. Robin shared the news on Good Morning America when she said they had both decided to “say yes” to marriage. 

They’ve likely enjoyed planning the special day, but it’s not surprising that Robin has decided to take a bit more time ahead of the wedding to put all the final details in place.

They had a fantastic on-air party with special guests too

The couple who were set up on a blind date when they first got together. But Robin originally tried to cancel the very first date with Amber on two occasions, before reluctantly going.

Robin has made no secret of her adoration for her “sweet Amber” and on their 15th anniversary of their first meeting, she penned an emotional message about the love of her life.

It read: “15 years ago I met you for drinks on a blind date that both you and I tried to cancel…twice. Your grace caught my eye right away and the ease of the evening continued to flow through dinner.

Robin will be missed on GMA but it won’t be long until she returns post-wedding

“We had a second date soon after and I couldn’t believe how at ease I was with you as we shared each other’s lives sipping lychee and apple martinis.”

“You left for Tahiti the following day and during that time apart I grew this feeling inside of me that still, is very present today… butterflies. Having you by my side is a gift as we continue to navigate this thing called life.
