HEARTBREAKING: Former Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto’s Health Struggles leave fans Deeply Moved!

Veteran Fox News anchor and Trump target Neil Cavuto signs off after 3 decades at network | CNN Business

Fox News mainstay Neil Cavuto is leaving the network after 28 years. Cavuto will announce his departure on Thursday towards the end of his 4 p.m. newscast, Your World with Neil Cavuto.

A Fox News spokesperson confirmed Cavuto’s exit to TVNewser. “Neil Cavuto’s illustrious career has been a master class in journalism, and we’re extremely proud of his incredible 28-year run with Fox News Media,” the network said in a statement. “His programs have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry. We wish him a heartfelt farewell and all the best in his next chapter.”

According to a source at the network, Cavuto was offered a new contract, but decided not to accept. When asked if the new contract offered lower terms, the source declined to comment.

Cavuto wore many hats during his tenure at Fox News Media, including senior vice president, anchor, and managing editor of business news for both Fox News and Fox Business Network. His departure, which was first announced by Mediatite, creates many programming holes for both networks. In addition to Your World, Cavuto also anchored Fox Business’ Cavuto Coast to Coast on weekdays from noon-1 p.m and Fox News’ Cavuto Live on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

A network source indicated that a new programming slate will be announced in January. In the meantime, rotating anchors will helm Cavuto’s former shows, with Coast to Coast becoming Fox Business Live and Cauto Live being rebranded as Fox News Live.

Over the years, Cavuto has suffered several ailments that have occasionally kept him off the air, including a 1997 diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and a 2016 heart surgery. In 2022, he was away for six weeks after being hospitalized with “Cvd pneumonia.” Upon his return, Cavuto—who is also immunocompromised—indicated that his condition landed him in intensive care.

“I knew it all – that’s why I had to leave” – Former Fox News anchor Shepard Smith sh0cks media and viewers as he returns to Expose his Old Network!

CNBC pulls the plug on 'The News With Shepard Smith' - Los Angeles Times

Since leaving Fox News in late 2019, and joining CNBC several months later, Shepard Smith has been incredibly diplomatic when it came to discussing the conservative news network that served as his home for nearly a quarter of a century. But his reluctance to speak out against Fox just ran into a formidable obstacle: Christiane Amanpour.

During an interview set to air Tuesday night on PBS, Smith delivered his harshest criticism yet of his former employer under relentless questioning from the host.

Shep Smith breaks his silence about why he left Fox News | CNN Business

Smith, who anchored one of the few truly “straight news” programs on Fox’s schedule, explained that he stayed with the network so long because he felt a sense of responsibility to counter the “mis- or disinformation” that viewers were getting at most other hours of the day.

Knowing that if he left he would likely be replaced with yet another opinion host, Smith said he felt it would be “selfish” for him to “abandon” his viewers and “stuck with it” for as long as he could. “And at some point, I realized I’ve reached a point of diminishing returns and I left,” he said.

His departure followed months of public clashes with colleagues like Sean Hannity, who called him “so anti-Trmp” on his radio show and “clueless” on Twitter and Tucker Carlson, who openly mocked Smith on his primetime show for defending their mutual colleague Judge Andrew Napolitano.

When Smith said he was “proud” of the journalistic work he was able to put out at Fox, Amanpour pushed back by pointing to the news that his former 7 p.m. time slot is about to become yet another opinion-focused show, just as he had feared. “You can be proud of you did,” she said, but now that he’s at CNBC she wanted to know if he accepts the notion that Fox News “perpetuated so many of the d1v1sions, the l13s, the conspiracies,” becoming essentially “the pr0p@g@nda arm of the Republican Party.”

“I feel the same way about that now that I did then,” Smith replied, admitting that his goal was to “keep the blinders on” and try to deliver real news to his viewers. He said people can “opine” as much as they want to, “but if you’re going to opine, begin with the truth and opine from there.”

“And it’s the deviation from that that’s caused me the greatest concern,” he continued. “And I believe that when people begin with a false premise and lead people astray, that’s injur10us to s0ciety. And it’s the antithesis of what we should be doing. Those of us who are so honored and grateful to have a platform of influence have to use it for the public good.”

Then, without naming any specific names, Smith added, “I slept very well. I don’t know how some people sleep at night. Because I know there are a lot of people who propagated the l13s and have pushed them forward over and over again, who are smart enough and educated enough to know better.”

Smith concluded by saying that he hopes “at some point, those who have done us harm as a nation and, I might even add as a world, will look around and realize what they’re done.”

“But I’m not holding my breath,” he added.

BREAKING NEWS: Scientific Study from Emory and Stanford Proves the Real Power of Fox News!

Your Worst Fears About Fox News Are Confirmed By New Study

Fox News Channel has been recognized since its inception in 1996, when it was established by Republican operative Roger Ailes, as a right-leaning news source. But a new study published in the American Economic Review shows just how influential the channel is when it comes to changing viewers’ minds, causing them to shift to the right on political issues–and even influencing election outcomes in ways that the outlet’s more liberal counterparts don’t.

Researchers at Emory and Stanford universities found that watching only three minutes of Fox News coverage per week would make Democratic and centrist voters one percent more likely to vote Republican in the 2008 election.

According to the study, this means that if Fox News hadn’t existed in 2004, George W. Bush would have captured nearly four fewer percentage points, making John Kerry the popular vote winner. In 2008, Barack Obama would have won in a landslide if it weren’t for Fox, capturing 60 percent of the vote, with John McCain winning 6.34 percent fewer votes.

Notably, the research shows that Fox appears driven by its ability to shift its viewership to the right even more than it’s guided by its bottom line. According toVox, the study finds “that Fox isn’t setting its ideology where it ought to, to maximize its viewership. It’s much more conservative than is optimal from that perspective. But it’s pretty close to the slant that would maximize its persuasive power–that would result in the largest rightward movement among viewers. CNN, by contrast, matched its political stances pretty closely to the viewer-maximizing point, showing less interest in operating as a political agent.”

Fox News crushes MSNBC, CNN viewership in May, 'The Five' finishes as most-watched show | Fox News

CNN and MSNBC are also not as effective at shaping viewers’ opinions. “Fox is substantially better at influencing Democrats than MSNBC is at influencing Republicans,” said the authors of the study. While Fox was able to convince 58 percent of Democratic viewers to vote for Bush in 2000, and persuaded sizable minorities of Democrats to vote Republican in the following two elections, MSNBC did not have the same effect on conservative viewers in the same elections.

Fox News Channel “is consistently more effective at converting viewers than is MSNBC which has corresponding estimated persuasion rates of just 16 percent, 0 percent, and 8 percent,” said the study.

The study confirms earlier research done after Fox was introduced in 1996, including a 2007 report from Berkeley which found “a significant effect of the introduction of Fox News on the vote share in Presidential elections between 1996 and 2000…Fox News convinced 3 to 28 percent of its viewers to vote Republican.”

The newest research confirms what many critics already suspected about Fox News: that it’s pushed conservative ideals and Republican agendas since its beginning, serving as a tool used by the GOP establishment to shift viewers to the right–and even swing elections.

The study did not analyze Fox‘s impact on the 2016 election, but according to a Pew Research poll taken in January, Fox News was the most-watched news source among Trump voters during the campaign, with 40 percent of his supporters relying on the channel for their news.

“I never thought that was the last Christmas with my Mom” – Fox News’ Steve Doocy opens up about a string of family tragedies that left viewers in Tears!

Steve Doocy looks ahead with serious expressionSteve Doocy left a tiny, 5,000-population Iowa town to become a popular anchor on America’s most-watched cable network, and he endured a great deal of heartbreak upon finding success. Even as the “Fox & Friends” co-host neared his 70s, he showed no signs of slowing down. With a less enraged take on politics, Doocy has become the representative of the everyday conservative American who turns on Fox News in spite of its growing embrace of radical views. “He’s not there as part of the ideological project. He’s there as an affable morning TV host,” Fairleigh Dickinson University professor Daniel Cassino told The Washington Post in 2024.

Part of Doocy’s appeal stems from his fatherly demeanor. That’s not a mask he puts on before taking his seat next to Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and Lawrence Jones every morning. He is a family man through and through. But while Doocy has enjoyed a long and fruitful career, he has experienced a series of family tragedies that have shaped him — and even altered his life journey.

It was because of a terrifying diagnosis received by the Fox News anchor’s wife that Doocy became a New York Times best-selling author of cookbooks — yes, cookbooks, not politics or anything related to journalism. Through his family losses, Doocy learned powerful lessons that inspired him to dedicate even more time to his loved ones. Doocy has experienced a lot of highs, but he didn’t escape the lows. From losing both parents unexpectedly to standing by his wife’s side during a potentially fatal illness, Doocy knows about gri3f.

Steve Doocy lost his mother on a Christmas morning

Steve Doocy isn’t a fan of the holiday season. It’s not the Christmas songs playing at every store or the ugly sweaters people parade around in all month that get him in a bad mood. For him, it’s personal. On Christmas morning in 1997, he received a call no one wants to get, ever, but especially not during the most magical time of the year. “My sister called, ‘Mom’s d3ad …’” he wrote in “The Happy Cookbook Series” (via Fox News). How could that be? He had just talked to his mother, JoAnn, eight hours earlier.

Doocy always talked to his mother on Christmas Eve to have her walk him through her gravy recipe. By then, he was pretty good at whipping up JoAnn’s famous gravy, but he had made a decades-old tradition out of it since he started calling her in college. “I was just using it as an excuse to call and show her that even though I was forty years old, a son always needs his mother,” he wrote. Since then, Doocy has been asking God for signs that his mother is watching over him.

His prayers have been answered a few times. The first happened at the funeral, where he was the lector. He noticed a bouquet of daisies on the altar, the flowers JoAnn had chosen for her wedding. Next to it was a packet of McCormick gravy mix. “I got goosebumps,” he shared.

The d3ath of Steve Doocy’s mother left a big hole in the family. To try and heal, Doocy drew closer to his father, Jim Doocy, making sure to call him at least once a day. “It just felt good to touch base, because we both knew that someday one of us would not be around to pick up the phone,” he wrote in “The Simply Happy Cookbook” (via Fox News). Jim and JoAnn Doocy had plane tickets to Hawaii when she di3d, and Steve had wanted to take his dad on a trip ever since.

Jim decided he would like to visit Ireland and trace his family roots. But he wanted his brother, Phil, to come along — and Steve would have to foot the bill. So off they went. They couldn’t trace anyone because family records were destroyed in the 1922 fire during the Civil War. They didn’t find what they were looking for in Ireland, but they found something better. “It was the best week I ever had with my father,” he wrote (via Fox News).

They maintained their bond, with Steve honoring Jim when he was named Distinguished Kansan of the Year in early 2014. That was the last time he saw his father. Two days later, his sister called to tell him Jim had suffered a burst abdominal aortic aneurysm. “He hadn’t even been sick,” Steve wrote. Jim di3d on February 8, 2014.

Steve Doocy and his family suffered another big loss after their beloved golden retriever, Charlie, was diagnosed with cnc3r. Even though Doocy’s children were all adults, they went home to be with Charlie during his final moments. “The kids came home from college and jobs to be at his side when the vet put him to sleep,” he wrote in “The Happy Cookbook Series.” That was the first real loss Mary, Sally, and Peter Doocy had experienced. “When my mom di3d, they were very little kids,” he penned.

The loss of the dog hit them differently. “When Charlie di3d, they were young adults and had spent most of their lives with him. He wasn’t a dog to them; he was their brother,” Steve continued. He also felt the gri3f deep in his heart. When he set out to write the first cookbook in his series, he knew Charlie would feature prominently in it. “That looks like our dog Charlie, who you will see several times in the cookbook!” he told an X, previously known as Twitter, user who shared a photo of herself reading the book next to her dog.

While it doesn’t appear that Steve and his wife, Kathy Doocy, have adopted another pooch, their love for them never faded. “The Doocys are dog people,” he captioned a 2015 Instagram post featuring him holding Charlie (seen above) in which he promoted the work of the North Shore Animal League America.

Steve Doocy and Kathy Doocy were getting ready to treat themselves to a beach vacation in Florida when their world came crashing down. Amid their preparations, they went to get the prescriptions for their sunglasses checked, but the routine visit had a different outcome. Instead, the doctor saw a freckle in one of Kathy’s eyes and advised her to return in a few months. The doctor was a lot more worried this time around and called in a specialist. It wasn’t looking good.

The specialist urged Kathy to go to Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. “‘Sure,’ Kathy said and asked, ‘When?’ He said, ‘Right now,’” Steve wrote in “The Simply Happy Cookbook” (via Fox News). Kathy was diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a rare and aggressive type of eye cnc3r. Kathy received radiation treatment amid worries the cnc3r would spread to her lungs and liver. It was during that difficult time that Kathy and Steve decided to write a cookbook.

Fearing she might not have long to live, Kathy wanted her children to have access to their favorite meals. “The only thing I could really think of that I needed to do was to get my recipes together so that the kids would always have their happy memories,” she said in a 2018 clip featured on “Fox & Friends.” Luckily, she would continue to make her kids’ favorite dishes for years to come, as she was declared cnc3r-free after two years of treatment.

“Fox News host Lawrence Jones WEDDING” – the most-searched phrase after just one rumor: What’s the truth behind it?

Lawrence started with Fox News at the age of 20 and is now 32, showing just how committed he is to the network, and vice versa.

With the cameras constantly on Lawrence and him being a primary source of information for many who rely on Fox News for updates, it’s only natural for viewers to want to know more about the Fox & Friends host.

The big question on everyone’s mind: Is he married, or dating? Here’s what we’ve managed to dig up about his personal life.

Lawrence doesn’t appear to be married, and given that he’s only 32 as of this writing, coupled with the lack of any headlines about past relationships, it’s safe to assume he’s never been married.

He keeps his social media channels focused primarily on his news career, so there aren’t any recent photos of him with a significant other. However, one woman appeared on his Facebook in 2019: Sydney.

In November 2019, he shared a photo of the two attending the Patriot’s Awards, with Lawrence dressed in a white tuxedo jacket and black pants, while Sydney wore a royal blue gown. The following month, he posted a Christmas greeting featuring the same woman.

Since then, there haven’t been any posts indicating whether they are still together or much information about who she is and what she does. However, since the photos are still up, it leaves us with a bit of hope that the pair might still be together — just keeping their relationship very private!

    Where is Lawrence Jones from?

Lawrence describes himself as “a Texan living in New York City” in his Instagram bio, showing that while he’s adapted to the fast-paced NYC lifestyle, he’s stayed true to his Texas roots. Born in Garland, Texas, Lawrence graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

His journey to making his voice heard began in 2010 when he signed on as a student advocate for the Garland Independent School District. A few years later, he became a host for TheBlaze’s TV, radio, and podcast sector before moving on to serve as Editor-in-Chief for Campus Reform, according to his LinkedIn bio.

While Lawrence says he’s been with Fox News since he was 20, his LinkedIn profile suggests he joined the network as a contributor in December 2018, staying in that role until May 2021. He then transitioned to fill-in host and political analyst in October 2019 and has continued in that capacity.

In January 2022, he officially joined Fox & Friends and has held that position since.

So, whether Lawrence is still with Sydney or has moved on, one thing we know for certain is that his career at Fox News has remained strong and steady for the last several years.

Fox News contributor who appeared on Sean Hannity’s program Wednesday night was widely derided for posing in a tactical vest at the southern U.S. border with Mexico.

Fox News Contributor Slammed for 'War Zone' Theatrics After Posing In Tactical Vest at the Border - Newsweek

Lawrence Jones III tweeted several photos of himself posing with U.S. Border Protection agents and appeared on Hannity’s Wednesday show wearing what many mocked as a bull3tpr00f vest. The ill-fitting vest doesn’t appear to have anything in its pouches and other legitimate border patrol agents in the area were not seen in similar protective gear.

Critics immediately pounced on Jones for wearing the military-style jacket with a U.S. Customs and Border Protection federal government badge at the border, although he later claimed agents forced him to wear the tactical vest as a safety precaution. Jones and Fox News’ relentless “border crisis” coverage was criticized for attempting to portray the region as a stateside “w@r zone.”

Lawrence Jones Named Permanent Co-Host of 'Fox & Friends'

A previous picture of Jones showed him wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and Vans sneakers while standing next to a pair of border agents.

Jones spent several hours defending himself on Twitter Thursday morning as veterans, w@r reporters and other notable journalists — including Roland Martin — weighed in on the matter of the tactical vest. While some social media critics edited Mexican ponchos and Elmo bookbags onto Jones, others defended journalists “playing dress-up” as a non-partisan problem at all cable news networks.

“I’ve previously criticized journos for playing dress-up in PPE,” replied NBC News producer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Mac William Bishop, referencing protective personal equipment. “Last time it was someone who worked for MSNBC. This time it’s someone who works for Fox. Being a poseur with no respect for journalistic integrity & lacking common sense about how PPE works is a non-partisan flaw.”

But while Jones received some passive defense from fellow members of the news media, he was overwhelmingly criticized for feeding into Fox News’ potrayal of chaos, vi0lence and urgent need for additional security.

“This is totally ridiculous,” replied MSNBC correspondent Jacob Soboroff. “I have never once worn a bull3tpr00f vest at the border, nor has CBP ever asked me to — even while on a chase with Border Patrol to apprehend migrants in remote Arizona desert in the middle of the night. Because. The. Border. Is. Not. A. War. Zone.”

Journalist Roland Martin was less constructive in his criticism of Jones, simply mocking the Fox reporter’s faux-soldier appearance.

“Y’all need a good laugh? Look at this. Lawrence thinks he’s headed to a w@r zone. Is this gonna increase your speaking fees, Lawrence? Game recognize game. #AllAboutTheBenjamins,” Martin tweeted Thursday morning, prompting Jones to repeat “border patrol made me wear it” in his reply. “Easy: You. Who would I trust about what’s happening on the border: you or Republican @HurdOnTheHill, a former CIA operative whose district is impacted? You’re there for show and tell. But go ahead and play TV. Carry on, Lawrence,” Martin added.

Jones has gained notoriety at Fox News for posturing in suits and routinely floating provocative and often baseless conspiracy theories across the cable news network.

Last week, Jones told Fox Business host Stuart Varney that Michelle Obama called in “favors” to get Empire actor Jussie Smollett’s Cook County charges dropped. He provided no evidence to back up this claim.

In a live interview on Fox News, the mom of host Lawrence Jones shared why she decided to keep her baby boy when she was still a pregnant teen.

    Ab0rti0n Issue

Today, the issue of ab0rti0n has been dividing people in the United States. With the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case going on, the national debate has undeniably heightened. And many people, famous or not, gave their insights and opinions about the issue. Among them is the mother of Fox News host Lawrence Jones.

Apparently, last week, the political commentator allowed his mom to guest on-air for the first time. The “Lawrence Jones Cross Country” host also noted that he didn’t want to share her with the world, but he had to guest her. Then he asked during the live interview, “Why did you choose to have me?”

    Pregnant Teen Chose Life

Lawrence’s mom, Tameria, was 16-years-old when she got pregnant. She grew up being taught “about s3x and what happened if you had s3x unprotected.” However, it happened to her. And right then, she knew it was her “responsibility.”

“It was my responsibility,” the mom explained. “It wasn’t my mom, my grandparents. I knew that I had to step up to the plate. And that caused me to let sports go, and I became a mommy.”

Tameria loved playing basketball as a young teenager. She was the star player during their time. That’s why she lost her friends when she stopped playing the sport to keep her baby. The pregnant teen did not hesitate to leave everything behind to become a mom despite the odds. Although she knew it would be a long and challenging journey, Tameria never regretted her decision. And on-air, she revealed her secret—dependence on God.

“The more I prayed, the more I talked to God, and the more that I was honest about my struggle, I had that village that came along,” Lawrence’s mom recounted.

In the end, the Fox News host thanked his mom for choosing to give birth to him.

“I’m so grateful that you made that decision,” he told her. Then she replied, “I love you, son.”

After the birth of their daughter, Vaughn figured out that journalism had prepared her to become a mom.

“I didn’t realize this until now, but I’ve been training for motherhood my entire career by trying to get lawmakers on Capitol Hill to respond to my questions,” she told PEOPLE in February 2023. “This job isn’t much different. ‘Baby Bridget — can you give us a comment? Are you hungry or gassy, or both?’ Trying to get an on-the-record answer is tough!”

Doocy’s father Steve also offered some advice he learned from his career: take lots of pictures.

“I learned from my mom and dad as a kid how important it is to get as many photos and videos as possible — clips we will have forever — but can also share in real-time,” Doocy told PEOPLE ahead of his first Father’s Day as a new dad in 2023.

“I Thought it was Just a Joke” – The Heartwarming Moment Fox News Host Steve Doocy Reacts to becoming a “Grandpa”, Thanks to Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn!

Correspondent Hillary Vaughn of Fox News and husband Peter Doocy stole the spotlight from Steve Doocy, Peter’s dad, during a September 2022 taping of Fox & Friends. The news they shared left viewers shocked. During the show, Steve was promoting The Simply Happy Cookbook, which he and his wife, Kathy Doocy, collaborated on.

Steve then shifted the attention away from his cookbook and on to Peter and Hillary to announce that his son and daughter-in-law were expecting a baby.

“This food is particularly good if you are really hungry,” Steve said of the cookbook recipes. The recipes included Vaughn’s recipe for Chicken Olé, which she described as an enchilada-lasagna mash-up.

“And Hillary is hungry all the time,” Peter added. Then Vaughn offered the breaking news. “That’s because I’m eating for two,” she said. “We’re having a baby!”

Read on to find out when Vaughn had her baby and how she and Doocy met.

Vaughn is a correspondent for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, and she’s based in Los Angeles, according to her Fox News bio.

Peter, meanwhile, is the Fox News White House correspondent. He has had terse interactions with both President Joe Biden and Jen Psaki, Biden’s former press secretary.

The couple tied the knot in April 2021 at Montage Hotels’ Palmetto Bluff resort in Bluffton, S.C. If that venue sounds familiar, you may be remembering that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin had a wedding ceremony there in 2019.

The bride, groom, and father of the groom all posted wedding photos on Instagram on April 26, 2021. “Life with you takes the cake!” Vaughn wrote, captioning a photo of herself and her new husband cutting their wedding cake.

Peter, meanwhile, went for a pun: “She said ‘I DOocy’!” he wrote in his caption.

And Steve waxed sentimental as he posted another pic from the cake-cutting. “Peter Doocy got married!” the proud dad wrote in his Instagram post. “Welcome to the Doocy family, Hillary Vaughn. We are so happy for both of you. For any parent who proudly watches their kid’s wedding, you know exactly how Kathy and I feel. Please join the Doocys and congratulate [Peter] and [Hillary] as their adventure begins!”

Many Fox News stars supported Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn’s pregnancy.

When Peter posted a video of the pregnancy reveal on his Instagram account, other Fox News personalities left congratulatory comments.

“GIRLDAD,” Fox News correspondent Gillian Turner wrote in one comment, for example. “I’m so thrilled for you guys. Welcome to the best part of your lives!”

Martha MacCallum, host of Fox News’ The Story, added, “Congratulations, Papa and Mama!”

Meanwhile, Janice Dean, the senior meteorologist for the cable channel, said that the news was “amazing,” and Fox News contributor Guy Benson commented with three heart-eye emojis.

During a previous episode of Fox & Friends, Vaughn and Peter showed off a sonogram image of the baby, adding that their due date was at the end of January 2023. Looks like there will be one more Doocy to eat Steve’s “Iowa Caucus Casserole” recipe.

Fox News’s Hillary Vaughn and husband welcomed their baby in February 2023.

Vaughn and Doocy welcomed their first child together on Feb. 1, 2023. Their daughter, Bridget Blake Doocy, was born in northern Virginia, per People. She weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., and measured 21 inches. In an Instagram post revealing the baby, Doocy wrote, “Meet Bridget Blake Doocy! Asked @joebiden for tips about being a new dad, at the WH holiday reception. His advice: “hold her tight.” Will do!”

Top Fox host Steve Doocy still ties his son’s neckties – but says Peter Doocy’s meteoric rise as the channel’s White House correspondent has outstripped even his own success.

The proud father and loving son spoke to DailyMail.com in an exclusive video interview ahead of Father’s Day, Steve beaming as he recounted his son’s accomplishments and Peter fondly recalling his visits to Fox HQ as a kid and playing catch with his old man: the only baseball coach who would have him.

Peter, 34, is the eldest of three. His sister Sally, 28, also works at Fox News as a senior manager and sister Mary, 32, a lawyer in DC.

Steve, 65, has been co-host of cable’s highest-rated morning news program Fox & Friends since 1998 and his wife Kathy is a former TV sports reporter.

So while some may have expected their son to join the family business – not Steve.

‘Peter was never going to get into television because he was unattractive,’ he joked while his son sat beside him. ‘He would either go into business school or become a lawyer or something professional like that.

‘Then he asked a question of John McCain during the 2008 presidential campaign when he was in college. That single question changed the arc of his life.’

The cheeky question won the young journalist the attention of his dad’s bosses, and set him on a career that would lead to more irreverent questions, many asked in the White House briefing room.

Those pointed probes, and outgoing press secretary Jen Psaki’s sharp retorts, were fodder for memes made by both conservatives and liberals celebrating the supposed political punch-up.

But Peter says that away from the podium, his conversations with Psaki were far more personable. ‘On TV you’ve got to make it quick and off camera you don’t,’ he told DailyMail.com.

‘When I talk to her privately, you’re not so pressed for time. And so we’re able to actually have thoughtful chats about different things.

‘We had a very nice chat on her last day, just kind of reflecting on everything over the last year and a half. We posted a photo that was shared widely.’

The May 13 tweet shows 6’6′ Peter towering over reportedly 5’5′ Psaki, both smiling with one arm around each other.

Steve revealed Peter gives his height an even greater boost with an extra three inches of coiffed hair, for which he credits Kathy.

‘The main influence from his parents regarding his career is from his mother. He’s got his mother’s hair. He’s 6’6′, but with the hair he’s 6’9′,’ he said. ‘It’s all about volume.’

During the interview with DailyMail.com both men opined on the prospects of the B1d3n administration, the chances of a 2024 Trump ticket, and whether the new White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will measure up to Jen Psaki’s famously fiery exchanges with Peter.

Peter said he plans on watching Paski’s planned new MSNBC on Peacock show – and may even call in for another verbal sparring match for old time’s sake.

He also had kind words for Jean-Pierre.

‘She used to be very proactive about reaching out, trying to gauge what kind of stories I was going to be covering. So we have had a good working relationship,’ Peter said.

‘I think once she gets settled in, she will be a great advocate for the President, the same as Jen was.’

    Dad-of-three Steve  talks Father’s Day

    Celebrating Father’s Day this year

The week before Father’s Day we are all gathering for my son-in-law Ali Sadri’s birthday, and since it’s so hard to get right adults who live in different cities in the same place at the same time, we will have an early Dad’s Day celebration in Dallas. Then I will try to talk TSA into allowing me to carry on board my gifts which will certainly include an array of exotic and ultimately dangerous BBQ tools.

    Favorite Memory

To do Fox & Friends I get up at 3.30 every morning, including weekends (hard habit to break), so on Father’s Day morning when the kids would finally wake up (around 8) and go into the kitchen to make me breakfast in bed, when they finally have it prepared, they’d beg me to please go back to the bedroom and climb under the covers, so they can serve me breakfast in bed, even though I got up four hours earlier, and already had breakfast and was ready for lunch.

    Best Gift

We love to make things with our own two hands to give each other when we can, and about 25 years ago Kathy and Peter, Mary and Sally decorated and personalized individual picture frames. They have been sitting on my desk every day since then and every time I glance over, that takes me back to when they were still actual kids, and it makes me smile.

The journalist’s relationship with President Joe B1d3n has not always been as congenial as with his spokeswoman.

Before he was allowed a front row seat and designated question time in presidential briefings, Peter was forced to lob questions from the back of the room.

On January 24 he called out asking if B1d3n thought inflation was a political liability for his administration. B1d3n smiled but muttered into the hot microphone calling Doocy ‘a stupid son of a b***h.’

Peter told DailyMail.com he missed the comment and it wasn’t until his wife, Fox business correspondent Hillary Vaughn, texted him outside the room that he heard about the president’s insult.

The White House correspondent brushed off the barb however, and revealed that B1d3n actually asked his staff to allow tougher questions from the press.

‘I would ask him about whatever I was interested in, it was always really short,’ Peter said. ‘Maybe because the questions were so short, they were easy for people just to tweet and to have a clip circulate quickly.

‘I think the President within a week or so sent a message to his team that the hard questions were okay.

‘My experience for more than three years now in B1d3n world is that he really likes the opportunity to take hard questions to explain his views on things.’

Steve said he was ‘very proud’ of his son’s performance, and has enjoyed watching his progress from Peter’s first White House press briefing under the Obama administration.

‘Peter was just filling in for somebody… getting ready for President Obama to come out and brief the press,’ he said. ‘There was Bill Plante from CBS who’s been there for decades, a legend. There was Peter Alexander from NBC. And between the two of them was Peter Doocy, who had never done a White House presidential event like that.

‘I was just imagining, number one, that is so cool that that’s my son. And number two, I wonder what his heart rate is right now, because I bet it is close to the zip code.

‘That’s when I realized Peter was on a different track than I was on as a young man in his 30s.

‘His mom and I watched and we were very proud.’

Turning to Peter he said: ‘Every parent wants their child to do better than they do. I didn’t expect you to go this far this fast. You’re doing very, very well. We’re all proud of you.’

Peter- pictured here at age 6 – said: ‘For the last couple years, people for whatever reason started thinking that we were brothers, which is probably terrible for me’

Though he said his son neither needed nor received a leg up from him at Fox, Peter did reveal one piece of advice his father gave him early in his career at the channel.

‘We were walking around the newsroom. He told me I should roll up my sleeves,’ Peter said.

‘He said ”If you have your sleeves rolled up, people will just think that you’re busy. On to something.” That has turned out to be a great trick.

‘You can just go walk to get a glass of water from the kitchen at the bureau. And if your sleeves are rolled up, I think that people just assume you’re so busy making calls and working on deadline.’

It is not the only piece of clothing Steve has counseled his son on. Peter admitted it is ‘absolutely true’ that his dad still ties his neck ties for him.

‘Every necktie you wear is from me – that I tie,’ Steve said. ‘Well, he ties them once and then I just kind of loosen them and tighten them up again,’ his son replied.

The father-of-three said Peter and his sisters had been coming into Fox HQ since they were kids, watching their dad work.

‘I would take the kids to ”take your kids to work day” at Fox,’ the Fox & Friends host said. ‘They’d all come in, mainly because we had pizza. You get to watch a movie, a new cartoon in this private screening room.’

Peter added: ‘For the last couple years, people for whatever reason started thinking that we were brothers, which is probably terrible for me.’

Steve revealed that despite their jobs it is his wife who is the family’s biggest news junkie, watching the Fox host’s three-hour show in the morning then ‘all day for Peter.’

But at home, Steve says he gets no special treatment from his wife and daughters as a TV star. ‘When we get home, it’s like, Hey, Dad, can you do me a favor? The air conditioner is making a funny noise,’ he said.

‘We have jobs on television. But that is way down the food chain of how they would think of us. It’s Dad and Homework Helper and Big Scary Bug Killer and stuff like that.’

Despite their plugged-in positions, both father and son said they had no idea whether Donald Trump will run in 2024.

‘I asked so many people, I honestly don’t know. And I haven’t talked to him. Because I don’t think he has made up his mind,’ Steve said.

They were both in agreement however that B1d3n’s biggest challenge is inflation.

‘Inflation is the number one issue,’ Peter said.

‘Inflation is something that affects even people that are not activists that are not interested in politics.

‘It’s not something that can be easily reversed. And so they’re up against the clock with midterms coming.’

However, the Fox White House correspondent added that counterintuitively, a flip to Republican control of the House and Senate could lead to a less divided politics, at least among long-time party leaders.

‘It’ll be an opportunity for the President if Republicans take control,’ he said.

‘He’s known Mitch McConnell for decades. They both came up in DC before progressives were pressuring B1d3n and conservatives pressuring McConnell on social media.

‘It’ll be a great chance for the two of them to go back to the old way of doing things and see if they can still make it work.

‘By then B1d3n would be hoping for reelection. When you’re not necessarily trying to appeal to either end of the ideological spectrum. You’re aiming for the middle.’

He added that he thought B1d3n had achieved one of his goals, to get the country past COVID, but not to unite it.

‘If you look at the two big things that candidate B1d3n said he was going to do – defeat COVID – it seems like in pretty much every part of the country people are beyond COVID,’ he said.

‘Another big promise was to repair the soul of the nation. This is a time in history where there’s all these tragedies and people are hurting. I think he just needs to continue trying to use his strength as a healer.’

TV Moment – Will Cain and Brian Kilmeade LAUGH at The View’s On-Air Correction for False Claims about Pete Hegseth!

Will Cain and Brian Kilmeade at the Fox Nation Patriot Awards ((YouTube/Fox News)Fox News hosts Will Cain and Brian Kilmeade shared a good laugh while they watched “The View” issue another legal note retracting false statements about President-elect Donald Trmp’s pick for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who has faced accusations of s3xual ass@ult and inf1d3lity.

“Well, you asked me about one hour ago on ‘The Brian Killmeade Show,’ again on Fox News radio about Charlamagne tha God’s appearance on ‘The View;’ I want to share now with you another clip from ‘The View,’” Cain said to Kilmeade during a live broadcast of “The Will Cain Show” at Fox Nation’s Patriot Awards. “This is about Pete Hegseth. It’s become one of my favorite parts of media criticism and media clips … It is now solid gold viral hit of Sunny Hostin reading legal notices enjoy from ‘The View.’”

Already smiling from ear to ear, Cain went ahead and played the clip, which was from the program’s Monday broadcast.

“Pete Hegseth has denied any wrongdoing,” Hostin says in the video, having stopped the show to deliver the note. “His lawyer said he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless l@wsu1t. No charges were ever brought.”

A noticeably frustrated Whoopi Goldberg irritatingly stares into the camera and then to the audience.

“You rushed me for that?” Whoopi says, snapping at the ABC show’s producers.

As soon as the clip ends, the Fox News pair chuckle together.

“Yeah, yeah, because they’ll get sued, Kilemeade says.

“[Hostin] is the one that has to do it,” Cain says of Hostin. “I think it’s because she is the one that’s said things. You and I know how television works. Probably somebody in their ear, right. Or, it looked like, the way Whoopi was acting, it might be somebody off set going, ‘You’ve got to do this right now.’ They’re so afraid of the irresponsibility of their talent.”

    the-view-whoopi-unbothered

    “D3famation,” Kilmeade jumped in.

“For d3famation suits, that they are actively intervening in the show in real-time and making Sunny Hostin with dead eyes and a flat face read legal notices,” Cain said.

This is another instance where “The View” has had to walk back or correct themselves after making false claims. During a November episode, Hostin had to read three different legal notes all in one segment, stating Hegseth, Matt Gaetz, Pam Bondi and Donald Trmp have all denied allegations of criminal activity and/or s3xual misconduct.

The network’s awards ceremony, which celebrates “patriotism by honoring everyday heroes across the country” that have shown “dedication to our nation and the values we hold dear,” kicks off on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. EST. Trmp is slated to receive the “Patriot of the Year” during the event.
