The Good Morning America star is raising her children to be respectful and to understand the importance of gratitude, as her latest Instagram post proved.

Ginger shared an emotional photo of her sons laying down flowers on a gravestone on Memorial Day, to remember those who sacrificed their lives.

Alongside the picture, Ginger wrote: “Today we honor those who have made the greatest sacrifice.”

Fans were quick to comment on the meaningful image, with one writing: “Thank you for teaching your boys respect,” while another wrote: “It’s nice your boys will grow up knowing the meaning of Memorial Day.”

A third added: “Touching moment,” alongside two crying face emojis.

Ginger is mom to sons Adrian and Miles, who she shares with husband Ben Aaron.

The popular TV personality often shares glimpse of her family life on social media, and over the weekend posted a hilarious video of her son having a tantrum in the car as a result of her and her husband’s singing.

Alongside the footage, the down-to-earth star wrote: “Miles didn’t want to sit & wait in the car… and he really didn’t want us to sing… he especially did not appreciate our song choice @benaarontv.”

The meteorologist and her young family reside in New York, but she tied the knot to Ben in her home state of Michigan seven years ago.

She spoke to People magazine about their beachside ceremony and said: “I am so proud to be from Michigan and I have countless memories of growing up along this gorgeous lake.

Ginger is a popular meteorologist on Good Morning America, but has been absent from the main studio for over a year due to her travelling commitments.

A fan had asked her “When are you going to be back in the GMA studio?” Ginger replied alongside an image of herself in the studio with a confused expression on her face.

Ginger added: “I was most excited to update the drought monitor today… #nerd Thanks @samwnek @amaranteweather @samchampion for holding it down.”

The ABC News meteorologist was quickly inundated with her colleagues and followers wishing her well and asking her to take some rest.

Ginger was forced to stay home and rest on account of a fever

Ginger had been busy the past few weeks traveling around the country and reporting on a series of storms and hurricanes that had been brewing over the Midwest and beyond.

However, she was able to return home over the holiday weekend in time for her birthday, and got the best of surprises from her husband Ben Aaron.

She shared that he had created a musical, or a “mu-zee-cal” in her case, starring some of their friends and family members in honor of her and the hard work she’d been putting in lately.

The GMA star adoringly wrote: “My talented husband @benaarontv wrote & directed an off-off-off Broadway musical for my birthday starring some of my friends.”

Ginger Zee has shared an update on her health after she was forced to step away from GMA this week to concentrate on her recovery.

The meteorologist was battling a 103 fever on Thursday, but thankfully, Ginger revealed on Saturday that her temperature is now back to normal, but she hasn’t been able to leave her bed for the last two days.

Alongside a photo of herself laying in bed, Ginger wrote: “When that influenza A light hits you just right… I haven’t moved from bed in 48 hours but this tamiflu is helping.

“I actually see light and have now gone 10 hours without a fever. I got laid out by this one.”

Ginger also revealed that she’s not the only member of her family battling illness, as her sons, Adrian, seven, and Miles, four, with husband Ben Aaron are also poorly.

“Thankful for a supportive @benaarontv & @roofustee who have been caring for our sick boys while I lay useless in bed. Sending everyone healthy sunny vibes cause this storm is gonna pass,” she added.

Her GMA co-stars were among the first to send her well wishes, with Michael Strahan replying: “Feel better,” alongside a praying hand emoji. Rhiannon Ally also commented with three praying hands emojis.

Ginger, the meteorologist for ABC and Good Morning America was due to fly into Georgia to view the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, but when Milton was upgraded to a hurricane four days before landfall, she was diverted to Florida.

“Milton now a hurricane —Florida 10-6: Sunday afternoon update on Milton. Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples, Sarasota, Tampa Bay. Watch #Milton carefully. Wednesday looks like the landfall of a major hurricane. Please ask questions I’ll answer,” she captioned the post before spending the rest of the week keeping followers updated as well as sharing educational graphics that offered insight into what the difference in categories and terms mean.

“After Sandy, I realized that if people had never seen the power of Storm Surge they couldn’t understand it. So we made this graphic and then unfortunately I saw this come to life from Michael to Ian and others. I hope this can help emphasize to people, what Storm Surge really is,” she said in another video.

Ginger also continued to update fans in the comments, reminding many that journalists remain in safe spaces and are not staying in the evacuation zones; the different networks often stay in the same hotels.

ABC News also shared videos from Ginger and her crew, with one revealing how the flood waters had made it so that she could not “stand where I was before, the surge has come up”.

ABC World News Tonight’s Whit Johnson has also been on the ground, keeping followers and viewers updated.In one video he gave a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the different crews preparing to go live for the networks in a parking garage, with the rain heavily falling outside of the structure, the noise forcing Whit to shout into the camera.

His colleague David Muir was also on the ground, and he reported from inside the parking garage as well, telling West Coast viewers that they had moved inside because of the strength of the rain, also revealing that they were reporting at least 30 tornadoes had hit the land.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper was also in the area, reporting from Bradenton, Florida, after Hurricane Milton made landfall.

One video of his went viral early on October 10 as he was hit in the face by flying debris as he reported live for CNN. As he lent over to look at the water he was hit by a white object that flew by; “Woah. That wasn’t good,” he confessed before agreeing it may be time to head inside.

Back in the studios, Kaitlan Collins addressed the situation telling viewers that “Anderson is okay”.

Dylan Dreyer from The Today Show, meanwhile, shared his deceiving a hurricane can be, as stood “in the eye of the hurricane”.

“There is not the slightest breeze, there is not a drop of rain.. This is as calm as it can possibly get….. But in 20 minutes, the backside of the storm is coming in and the winds will be back up to 100mph,” she shared.

A Tearful Interview with GMA Host Ginger Zee!

Ginger Zee has detailed her harrowing mental health journey in a brutally honest interview. The Good Morning America meteorologist, 42, featured on a recent episode of the Quite Frankly podcast, hosted by Frank Elaridi, where she opened up about how being diagnosed with d3pr3ssion at age 21 and how suffering from an e@ting dis0rder also had an impact on her mental health.

The mother-of-two began by sharing how she wrote in her book, A Little Closer to Home: How I Found the Calm After the Storm, that she would lie to herself when she was younger: “In my book, I write a lot about lying and where I learned how to lie, and that was through [my] e@ting dis0rder and I became almost expert level at it.”

Ginger continued: “I lied to men left and right… the chaos that created in my life, and the self-hate that created, through lying… The worst part, and where I was the sickest, was lying to myself. And when you can lie to yourself there is no truth for anyone else. And I had to lie to myself because I hated myself.”

In another powerful moment from the interview, Ginger shared how she became so unwell from poor mental health that checked herself into a hospital to receive treatment, shortly before she landed a dream job on GMA. “Ten days before everybody saw me take this dream job of national television, I checked myself into the Columbia p:s:y:c:h w@rd,” she said.

“At least we’re getting to a point where we can talk about it. I went to the hospital because I needed to go to the hospital. I needed help. I should’ve done it 10 years before.”

Ginger then explained further how she found the experience of receiving professional help for her d3pr3ssion, which she was diagnosed with at age 21, after previously opening up about her heartbreaking su1c1de attempt.

“What the inpatient situation does for you, it’s not fun. It’s so scary. At first, I was looking around like, ‘I don’t need to be here.’ But they assess you and they were not going to let me leave until I was not uns@fe. I really needed help. They really deemed me uns@fe, that’s how bad it was.”

It’s clear that bravely detailing her own personal struggle is something the GMA star is passionate about, and with her message she hopes to change the way society discusses and thinks about mental health problems.

“If you have su1c1dal thoughts, that is bad and we need to look at it as such because there are ways and treatments and therapies that can make you not have those thoughts,” she added further.

“I think that’s what I didn’t understand for a decade of my life. This is why it’s my responsibility to talk about this stuff because there’s so many people who don’t get this chance. We, as a society, need to treat [su1c1de] differently.”

The GMA star is married to fellow TV personality Ben Aaron, and the couple have two children, Adrian, who is seven, and Miles, who is five.

The 62-year-old bride-to-be started the day on a reflective note, as she began her daily prayer video by reflecting on those impacted by the w1ldf1res in Hawaii.

She said: “It’s been a difficult weekend for those in Hawaii and our hearts continue to go out to them. In this morning’s message and prayer, keep them in mind, and others who are in need of help.”

Alongside the footage, she wrote: “Good morning. #GlamFam & I know it’s been a difficult weekend for many and our #MondayMotivation is dedicated to them.”

Fans were quick to comment on Robin’s post, with many thanking her for thinking of all those impacted by the devastating effects of the w1ldf1res. “Good morning and thank you for this post today! I have a friend that I was trying to communicate this very sentiment to this weekend,” one wrote, while another remarked: “Thank you for your words today.”

HEARTBREAKING – Disaster Strikes Without Warning – GMA Host Gio Benitez BREAKS DOWN Live on Air!

Like many others around the country and the world, the anchors of Good Morning America were left d3vastated upon learning of the w1ldf1res raging throughout the Hawaiian island of Maui, with nearly 100 lives l0st and over 1000 m1ssing.

The morning news show dedicatedly reported on the d1saster since news first broke on August 8 and it was declared a federal major d1saster.

On the latest edition of GMA, weekend anchor and correspondent Gio Benitez reported on the w1ldf1res from Hawaii itself, and got emotional when unpacking his own personal experience with the situation.

“You know, I’ve been watching here as Maui transforms from this island paradise to an island in crisis,” he told hosts Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopoulos.

“And I’ve just got to say, the strength we are witnessing here, on the island right now, is truly remarkable,” he added.

With summer upon us, many of our favorite daytime celebrities are enjoying some time off, including Good Morning America weather presenter Sam Champion.

The 62-year-old and his husband Rubem Robierb have been enjoying some time in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and despite it being the middle of summer, the news anchor instead found himself faced with storms instead of rolling sunshine. Taking to his Instagram, Sam showed off the clouds rolling over the hills and the gray skies creating some very choppy waters.

The poor weather didn’t deter Sam and Rubem from enjoying some time on the beach, as the star shared several snaps of the duo on the sandy shores, including one where they flexed their muscles, showing off their rippling physiques.

The locals also didn’t seem to mind the weather, as Sam shared some clips of three locals running through the waters, despite the high waves crashing down all around them.

Gio Benitez, meanwhile, described the day as the “best wedding ever”. Many of the guests have since taken to social media to share photos and messages in tribute of Robin and Amber.

Meanwhile, Deborah Roberts penned: “Love is in the air. What a beautiful celebration of @robinrobertsgma and @amberlaign1 as they made it official. Best wishes to the happy couple. #wedding.”

Robin and Amber’s wedding follows just after Amber’s birthday, and falls in the same month as their first date anniversary, which took place 18 years ago.

The pair were set up on a blind date, which the GMA star admitted nearly didn’t ever happen, as she tried to cancel several times. Luckily, she didn’t and the pair have been each other’s rocks ever since, in both the good and the bad times.

The former sports broadcaster announced her engagement to Amber at the start of 2023. While speaking with author Gabby Bernstein about “saying yes” to things at the start of the year on GMA, Robin revealed that she and her longtime partner were saying yes to marriage.

“I’m hesitating, because I haven’t said it out loud yet,” she started, before revealing: “I’m saying yes to marriage, we’re getting married this year.”

It was clear that members of the studio were delighted by the news, applauding Robin and audibly gasping as she fanned herself with her cue cards, clearly overwhelmed by the news. “We’ve talked about it, but we’d put it off because she became ill. But it is saying ‘yes’ to that next chapter,” she continued.
