Behind-the-scenes revealed: Sweet WEDDING moments of GMA host Robin Roberts and her partner Amber Laign melt viewers’ hearts!

Robin Roberts returned to Good Morning America on Monday, fresh off her honeymoon with her wife, Amber Laign.

The popular host has been absent from the ABC show for more than two weeks, during which time she married her long time partner and jetted off to Curacao too.

Robin was back to business at the top of the week though, with emotions still running high. In her morning message and prayer.

She said of her wedding: “We did that. We did that! Oh my goodness. We wanted a celebration and we did just that.”

Then, while sitting alongside George Stephanopoulos and Lindsey Davis, on the morning show, she asked them: “Why didn’t anyone tell me how wonderful it is to be married?”

Clearly still basking in newlywed bliss, Robin could barely wipe the smile from her face as her colleagues beamed back at her.

Robin then confessed that Lindsey and George had been helping her brush up on her “wedding ring etiquette” after telling her she should wear it all the time. “You sleep with it? You shower with it?” she asked her co-stars who nodded in agreement.

Only hours earlier, Robin shared a video from their sun-soaked honeymoon which looked positively dreamy.

Alongside a video of the crystal clear waters and blue sky, she wrote: “Following our wonderful wedding celebration full of dancing galore…felt so good to wiggle our toes in the sand during our magical honeymoon in beautiful Curaçao!

“Will be thinking of this view when I’m back on @goodmorningamerica Monday morning. Will also be thinking of all the well wishes. Thank you & bless you. #sundayserenity.”

Viewers will be thrilled to see Robin back on their screens, with her last appearing alongside Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos on August 30.

They, along with the rest of her GMA family, including, Lara Spencer and Ginger Zee, attended the nuptials at Robin and Amber’s stunning Connecticut home.

Robin met Amber on a blind date

It was a long time coming for the couple who first met on a blind date 18 years ago. They waited until 2023 to make the decision to tie the knot when Robin jubilantly announced her engagement to Amber on GMA.

“OK, I’m saying yes to marriage!” she excitedly revealed to her colleagues. “It’s something we had talked about, but we put it off. She became ill, but it was just – and it is saying yes to that and that next chapter.”

The couple got engaged at the beginning of the year

They’ve both had their respective health battles with Robin previously undergoing a bone marrow transplant and being diagnosed with breast cancer and more recently Amber beating breast cancer too.

GMA meteorologist, Sam Champion, reflected on the “moments that could have kept this from happening” when he posted an emotional message from Robin and Amber’s marriage.

Alongside Lara Spencer’s photos from the couple’s big day, and he wrote: “This moment. So much joy. Contentment seeing someone we live so happy. Memories of moments that could have kept this from happening…. So many feelings in this second. I love you both.”

While he didn’t go into detail, Robin herself admitted that she was close to canceling her first ever date with Amber on several occasions.

Thankfully, they both committed to that date eventually, and the rest is history.

Dr Nicole Saphier, a prominent Fox News contributor, has strongly defended her colleague Pete Hegseth following an NBC News report alleging concerns about his on-air conduct. Saphier, known for her regular appearances on ‘Fox & Friends’, dismissed the claims on social media, saying she has never witnessed any unprofessional behaviour from Hegseth during their years of working together.
Taking to platform X, formerly Twitter, Saphier wrote: “I have routinely sat on the couch with @PeteHegseth for 8 years. Not once did I suspect he had consumed anything other than an egg sandwich and coffee before going on air.”

Her statement follows NBC News’s report citing “10 current and former Fox employees” who alleged smelling alcohol on Hegseth before broadcasts, a claim Saphier, along with other Fox personalities, has categorically denied.

Will Cain, a current cohost of Fox & Friends, described the allegations as “horses***” on X, while fellow cohost Rachel Campos-Duffy echoed similar sentiments, criticising NBC for relying on anonymous sources and not reaching out to Hegseth’s closest colleagues.
Campos-Duffy stated, “The losers at NBC News never reached out to me either… You now have 2 people who sat next to him 8+ hours a week on the record.”
Other Fox News contributors have also rallied behind Hegseth. Guy Benson, Joey Jones, and Lisa Boothe all dismissed the claims as baseless, with Boothe calling the report a “malicious smear.”

Piers Morgan, a frequent guest on Fox & Friends, also lent his voice in support, describing Hegseth as “utterly professional on camera and a nice, respectful guy off it.”
The controversy has surfaced at a pivotal moment for Hegseth, who has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trmp to serve as the next US Secretary of Defense.
A Trmp transition spokesperson categorically denied the allegations, describing them as “disgusting” and politically motivated attacks against a “decorated combat veteran.”
As the controversies around Pete Hegseth continue to mount, Trmp is reportedly considering replacing Hegseth with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as his pick for secretary of defence, reported the Wall Street Journal.

“Don’t Take Your Health Lightly” – Fox News Medical Contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier shares 3 Invaluable Lessons you need to Know!

Fox News contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier recently discussed natural ways to prevent and treat hair thinning — plus how to maintain a healthy gut — and shared her own experiences on the matters.

Thinning hair can be caused by many factors, said Saphier. These include hormonal or metabolic changes, age, medications and str3ss.

The doctor said she herself experienced hair loss some years back due to a medication she was taking for an autoimmune disorder.

5 EXCELLENT PROTEIN SOURCES THAT AREN’T MEAT, ACCORDING TO NUTRITIONISTS

“I had a hard time putting my hair up in a ponytail. It was really upsetting emotionally,” she said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

She began looking for natural remedies, as opposed to trying anything invasive such as hair transplants, she said. After much research, she began massaging olive oil and rosemary oil into her scalp at night to stimulate it.

“It took some patience, but I began seeing significant regrowth and improvement within one to two months of doing this regimen and I haven’t stopped!” she told Fox News Digital.

“My personal experience has continued to reinforce my belief in the power of integrative care.”

She said she also put together a collection of liquid natural herbs including gotu kola, horsetail and biotin.

“Your hair, skin and nails will have the nutrients they need to grow.”

To promote blood flow to the scalp – which helps with hair growth – the doctor said she increased her green tea intake and focused on exercising and hydrating.

“As long as you are eating healthy and living healthy, your hair, your skin and your nails will have the nutrients that they need to grow,” she said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

It’s important to consult a medical professional if experiencing any issues, she str3ssed, so that the healthcare provider can find and address the root cause of the issues.

    Saphier also discussed gut health.

Dr. Saphier's tips for good gut health

Saphier shared tips for good gut health. “Your entire body’s wellness focuses on your gut,” she said.  (Fox News)

“Gut health is tied to everything,” said Dr. Saphier.

“Your entire body’s wellness focuses on your gut, and we have destroyed our guts with antibiotics and processed foods and all these other things.”

She said she really likes a comprehensive approach to gut health. This includes nourishing the gut with probiotics, which can be found in foods such as yogurt, kimchi and pickles – anything that’s fermented.

“But you also have to give yourself prebiotics,” she said.

Prebiotics give the nutrients to the probiotics and those good bacteria in your gut.

They can be found in such things as garlic and blueberries.

“I actually take liquid garlic every single morning,” Saphier said.

In terms of liquid garlic vs. capsules, the doctor said that in liquid form, garlic is more bioavailable, meaning the body can absorb and use its benefits more efficiently than with capsules.

Another important aspect of diet is fiber. Among the best foods for fiber are raspberries, lentils and avocado, said Saphier.

Finally, she said she promotes gut motility (the coordinated muscular contractions that move food and waste through the gastrointestinal tract) with ginger, plus staying hydrated and exercising.

Stress isn’t just a feeling; it’s an actual physiological effect on the body, she said.

“You do all of that and your gut is going to be as healthy as can be,” she said.

What about the impact of str3ss on hair loss and gut health? The doctor said that str3ss isn’t just a feeling; it’s an actual physiological effect on the body.

dr. nicole saphier on fox & friends

“Managing str3ss isn’t about eliminating it,” she said. “It’s about finding balance and supporting your body through it.” (Fox News)

“To manage str3ss, I prioritize daily movement, whether it’s a quick workout or a walk outside. I also practice mindfulness, ensuring I take moments to breathe and reset,” she said.

She also focuses on quality sleep and proper nutrition, she said, as these directly impact energy and resilience.

“Managing str3ss isn’t about eliminating it. It’s about finding balance and supporting your body through it,” she said.

It’s the season to celebrate moms, and a new book from Nicole Saphier, MD, is poised to do just that.

Love, Mom is a collection of first-person accounts, rich with reflections, lessons and stories about motherhood. Some of the topics covered include blended families, postpartum depression, miscarriage, cancer, adoption and more.

“The profound stories are connected by the common threads of love, sacrifice and the unbreakable bond between mother and child,” according to the publisher. It comes out from Broadside Books and FOX News Books on April 16.

“I never thought I would have such emotion and gratitude built into the binding of a singular book,” Saphier says. “Creating Love, Mom has been a labor of love and I am overwhelmed with joy that it will soon be in the hands of people across the country. This book is not only for mothers, it is for anyone who has faced the twists and turns that come with life. While I may have taken the road less traveled, the incredible journey created the person I am today and was worth every obstacle put in my way.”

How Stars Celebrated Mother’s Day 2023

Saphier has been a FOX News Channel contributor since 2018 and also works full-time as an associate professor in radiology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medical College in the New York City area, where she lives with her husband and three sons.

Below, read an exclusive excerpt from Saphier about her own unconventional journey to motherhood.

I had always assumed I would eventually be a mom. As I was growing up, my plan was to become a doctor, marry the man of my dreams, and have children. Pretty straightforward. In truth, that was what happened, but it wasn’t in that order and hardly felt as if it were on my terms most of the time.

I was 17. It was the summer between my junior and senior years of high school. After realizing my period was late, I couldn’t ignore my symptoms any longer. One morning, rather than driving to school, I bought a pregnancy test at the local pharmacy. Actually, I bought five. I didn’t even leave the store; I took a test right there in the pharmacy restroom. Waiting the few minutes for the results was agonizing, and when it came up positive, I convinced myself that it was a false positive. So I took another one and another after that.

After taking all five, I could no longer deny the reality.

The next few weeks were pretty surreal. The hardest part for me was telling my boyfriend and then my dad; both had very different reactions from my mom. The gravity of the situation paralyzed them both. Neither was able to imagine a way that going through with the pregnancy would afford a good life. They both regret their initial reactions now, but at the time I was a scared 17-year-old and could have used more support.

I don’t know what I expected, but my boyfriend and I broke up, bringing the reality of being a single, pregnant teenager into sharp focus. It was overwhelming.

I kept thinking, “You’re going to spend your senior year of high school pregnant. You’re going to be a statistic, that pregnant teen walking the halls.”

And I was—because after the initial shock, and worry about my future, I made the decision that despite the unknowns, I would have the child and there was no one who could change my mind.

    Nicole Saphier

Believe me, many people tried. No matter how much it would change my life, I knew in my heart that a little being was growing inside me and it was my job to protect him.

My son was born in April, and five weeks later, I walked across the stage at graduation to accept my high school diploma. My mom and dad held my newborn in the stands like Rafiki from The Lion King holding up baby Simba for the entire pride to see.

I had come to grips with the reality that it wasn’t in the cards for me to go away for college anymore, away from family and friends. But I was still determined to go straight to full-time university because I knew if I stopped, I might stop for good. I couldn’t lose my momentum.

While studying for my degree in microbiology, genetics proved to be the most difficult course for me. I was exhausted, physically and mentally. After many sleepless nights, I passed the class, and with a couple more years of really hard work, I graduated from college in four years. Once again, my son was there when I received my diploma.

My first day as a medical student in the hospital was also Nick’s first day of first grade. We took a picture together to commemorate the special day that we were experiencing together. A few years later, I graduated from medical school with highest honors. Nick was again by my side at the ceremony.

Since, I have joined a world-renowned cancer center as a full time physician, become a bestselling author and started my own nutraceutical company. I still can’t help but think of all the tears I shed from believing I wouldn’t be accepted because of my circumstance so long ago.

    Yet here I am.

Even though my oldest son is making his own way now since graduating college himself, he still calls me every day, and I hope that never changes. He has been a constant my entire adult life.

There have been times over the years when I questioned whether I had been a good mom when I was so young and made the right choices for Nick. There were even a few years of his life when it felt as though he hated me. When people say the teenage years are tough, they aren’t kidding. It certainly was for us, but like everyone else, we got through it. He and I grew up together. He saw my strengths and my weaknesses, and he knows I’m not perfect.

So it means the world to me that in just about every Mother’s Day card, he writes, “Mom, you’re perfect to me.”

Howard Kurtz of Fox News – once hailed as “America’s most important media reporter,” but later bitterly cast aside.

Howard Kurtz of Fox News – once hailed as “America’s most important media reporter,” but later bitterly cast aside.

Howard Kurtz - Chartwell Speakers Bureau

From Katie Glueck and my report on media critic Howie Kurtz:

At the height of his influence, Howard Kurtz was widely regarded as the most influential media reporter and critic in the country. But in recent years, erroneous reporting and careless errors reduced him to fodder for the media reporters and critics who followed in his footsteps.

No single event has dealt such a crushing blow to Kurtz’s reputation as Thursday’s decision to “part ways” — after a serious mistake in a story about g@y basketball player Jason Collins — with The Daily Beast, where he has served as columnist and Washington bureau chief since leaving a long, illustrious career with The Washington Post in 2010.

In the wake of that decision, CNN also announced that Kurtz’s longtime weekend media criticism show, “Reliable Sources,” was under review.

It’s quite a tumble for a reporter who, in 2000, was dubbed “the most important media reporter in America” by The New Republic. That view was widely shared throughout the industry. Five years later, Fox News spokesman and vice president Brian Lewis similarly called Kurtz “the most influential media reporter — by far — and a ‘must read’ in our place.” For years, Kurtz was known for his peppy, engaging writing style and for his ability to notice buzzy media stories that would set tongues wagging in Washington and New York.

Tina Brown, the editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast, did not explain the reasons for Kurtz’s leaving: “The Daily Beast and Howard Kurtz have parted company,” she said in a statement. Kurtz similarly said on Twitter that “both sides agreed it was best to part company.”

But sources at the Daily Beast and CNN, who spoke to POLITICO on the condition of anonymity, said there were several reasons for the breakup: For one thing, Kurtz had a string of high-profile mistakes on his record and that had become a source of embarrassment for The Daily Beast. For another, he commanded a hefty paycheck, despite turning out fewer scoops than in the past.

“People here have been groaning about Howie for years,” a source at CNN said. “He’s like the Dick Morris of media critics — just shoddy and out of the game.”

But perhaps the main factor that led Kurtz out the door, several sources said, was the same quality that had fueled his rise in the first place decades ago: a hyperactive work ethic that divided his attentions and ultimately proved unsustainable.

Trey Gowdy opens Fox News broadcast in a special way that leaves viewers stunned!

Trey Gowdy kicked off his new show “Sunday Night in America,” by telling viewers Sunday night is the right time for reflection on what’s most important in life.

    Trey Gowdy - Wikipedia

GOWDY: I am Trey Gowdy, it’s ‘Sunday Night in America.’ I want to start by saying thank you for sharing your evening and your time with us. Time is the most precious resource we have … I am grateful for spending part of it with me.

Sunday nights mean different things to different people. When I was growing up in South Carolina it meant church. We went Sunday morning, but my parents believed that one sermon was not enough for my three sisters and me. so we went back on Sunday nights, which means I missed Dallas Cowboy football games. I want to make sure my folks know, that for the most part, I forgive them for that.

Sunday nights were a time for reflection … It was the perfect night to reflect on the week that was. Sunday nights were also the time to plan and prepare for the week to come. It was an evening of anticipation, and hope, and a new beginning. Sunday nights can also be the right time to reflect on what is most important in life. Our family, our friends, our faith, our neighbors and our country. Sunday mornings are great, they are peaceful, and they’re tranquil … But on Sunday nights, the serenity begins to give way to excitement and anticipation for what’s possible in the week to come …

There are two promises I can safely make to you. One, I will make mistakes. I have been making mistakes for a very long time now. I ate my father’s contacts when I was a kid, and I mistakenly believed the cookies my mom made were for me when in reality they were for the bridge club … My mom’s cookies tasted better than my father’s contacts … I will make mistakes, Americans are forgiving people, for that I am grateful. If I don’t know something, I will tell you I don’t know it … The other promise I’ll make you is we’re going to have a good time together. We’ll have interesting guests, we’ll give them plenty of time to talk. we’ll laugh, we’ll learn. We will equip ourselves for the issues that confront us as a country. The journey starts tonight, this journey toward the truth, this journey toward a more perfect union. That sounds like an incredible way to spend Sunday night in America. I am so grateful to you for joining us.

The unique charm of Fox News host Bill Hemmer keeps viewers eagerly waiting for his on-air time.

Bill Hemmer Will Inherit Shepard Smith Slot at Fox NewsBill Hemmer is not an opinion guy — but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a fan of Fox News’ famous fire-breathers.

“They’re smart people. They know what they’re talking about,” the host of “America’s Newsroom” morning show told TheWrap of his more opinion-driven primetime colleagues like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson.

“You can engage in this debate with them or you have a remote control,” he added.

Bill Hemmer Reports | YouTube TV (Free Trial)

For the unfailingly polite Hemmer, the comments amounted to something of a rebuke of his colleague Chris Wallace, the veteran Fox News anchor who told the Associated Press last month that he disagreed with media-bashing by Fox News opinion hosts.

Hemmer — one of the network’s most buttoned-up newsmen — said he was committed to making sure his opinion never seeped onto the network during his two hours from 9 to 11 a.m.

“At 9 a.m. in the morning, East Coast time, we will stay in our lane and that is news,” he said.

Hemmer’s news-first instincts serve as something of a chaser for viewers after three hours of the network’s breathless commentary on “Fox & Friends.” For the last month, Hemmer has been joined Sandra Smith, who also serves as a co-host for the more opinion-fueled program “Outnumbered.”

The pair have found an easy chemistry on set that has boosted ratings in the first four weeks of their joint tenure, with a 5 percent increase in total viewers and nearly 10 percent among the advertiser-critical 25-54 demographic. Strong numbers overall suggest the program has a bright future.

Smith echoed Hemmer’s insistence that the pair remain strictly impartial.

“It doesn’t matter what we think,” she said. “If you’re not asking the right questions and you’re not challenging your guests on all fronts, [viewers] will know that and you’ll lose their faith and their trust.”

Both, for example, said the Trump-Russia investigation was an extremely important story. Other quadrants of the Rupert Murdoch empire have downplayed the special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, including the Wall Street Journal editorial page, which called on Mueller to resign last month.

And “Outnumbered” recently ran a segment questioning Mueller’s credibility.

“I thought the Wall Street Journal angle was interesting,” said Hemmer, who hedged on whether he was on board with the #FireMueller movement. “I don’t know where in the end I come down on it.”

Hemmer — a network stalwart — has been with the show since it launched 10 years ago. In the past he’s co-hosted with Martha MacCallum and someone else in the news recently — Megyn Kelly.

Kelly, who bolted Fox News earlier this year, now hosts an NBC talk show that airs at 9 a.m. — in direct competition with Hemmer. Her first month hosting the third hour of “Today” has been rocky, but Hemmer offered nothing bur praise.

“Megyn is a competitor and she has enormous talent,” he said. “I was very sad to see her leave. I wish her only great things and I think her audience is going to find that yet again.”

Fox News star Jesse Watters had mixed her up with the Good Morning America anchor, saying King’s interview with R. Kelly “totally redeemed” her from the Jussie Smollett “fiasco.”

Roberts, 58, was actually the one to interview Smollett days before police accused him of staging his alleged attack. Watters did apologize on-air, saying, “Sorry for Robin Roberts out there, I apologize,” and holding up a sign that read “I’m sorry Gayle + Robyn” later in the broadcast.

“You’ve gotten a lot of praise for this across the board, from fellow journalists as well. Were you happy to hear that Fox News’ Jesse Watters gave you props for this interview after that Jussie Smollett interview you did?” Stephen Colbert joked.

“Oh my gosh,” King said. “I couldn’t believe this.”

    “He mistook you,” Colbert said.

“Yes,” King said with a laugh. “For Robin Roberts.”

“So many people started sending this to me, because I normally don’t watch Fox News unless I’m just curious to see what’s going on, what other people are thinking,” she continued. “So I was sent this and Dana [Perino] stood up for me and said, ‘Uh, that wasn’t Robin Roberts, that was Gayle King.’ ”

King revealed that she emailed Perino, 46, and thanked her for correcting her colleague on-air.

“I emailed Dana, who I don’t know, and I said, ‘Hi, just wanted to thank you for letting your colleague know that Robin Roberts and I — it was a great compliment, but thank you for letting him know that we’re two different people. And could you let the rest of your colleagues know that all black people do not look alike? Could you please just share that?’ ” she said.

King said she and Perino had a laugh about it.

“I hope to meet her one day, because I thought that that was very nice of her to do,” she added.

A primetime special on King’s 80-minute interview with Kelly airs Friday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
