She only returned to her hosting gig on GMA on Monday, following a mini-break during which she married her long time partner, Amber Laign, after 18 years together.

They made their relationship official at their home in Connecticut where her GMA family, including Michael, George, Lara Spencer and Ginger Zee, witnessed their big day.

Her return to the hot seat was welcomed as she had been absent since August 30. Lindsey Davis remarked on her post-wedding and honeymoon glow and George gave her some “wedding ring etiquette” as Robin asked why nobody had told her how wonderful it was to be married.

David Muir is preparing to put his best foot forward for a charitable cause alongside his good friends at GMA.

The World News Tonight star and Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts are just two of the many ABC hosts gearing up for a star-studded marathon.

On Wednesday, New York Road Runners (NYRR) announced that a dozen ABC News anchors and correspondents will run an ABC News Relay Supporting Team for Kids at the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 5.

David and his dear friend Robin will be joined by the likes of World News Tonight’s Sunday anchor Linsey Davis – who has been a regular on GMA recently too – GMA3‘s DeMarco Morgan and Rebecca Jarvis too.

The group will split up the 26.2-mile tour of New York City’s five boroughs so that each will run two or three miles.

Of their efforts, Linsey said: “On a daily basis, we work together as a news team, so it comes naturally to run the marathon as a relay, passing a literal baton and doing it for the benefit of the youth in our community.

“There is nothing like running through the streets of New York, seeing the people come together and hearing them cheer for total strangers. It is a great feeling that is enhanced by the knowledge that it all benefits a great cause.”

David and Robin will relish in the chance to spend more time together, as over the years they’ve forged a close bond.

Last year, when Robin celebrated 20 years with GMA with a special on-air tribute, David was one of the first to lavish her with praise.

Despite not being a part of the core GMA team, as an integral part of the ABC News family, David shared his thoughts on what made Robin so special and deserving of such an honor.

Live television is rife with unpredictability, and ABC’s Sam Champion experienced this firsthand. On a regular broadcast day, Sam encountered a genuine surprise, a moment that left him, co-stars, and viewers both stunned and entertained.

While Sam was interviewing a medical expert, he was blindsided by the revelation that the expert was, in fact, the twin brother of their regular ABC news medical contributor.

This serendipitous revelation unfolded live. “We had no idea this morning’s medical expert on the show … is the TWIN brother of our ABC news medical contributor!” Sam shared on his Instagram.

It was during the commercial break that the resemblance became uncannily evident. This unexpected moment saw Sam bursting into laughter, a reaction that was infectious to all.

Fans didn’t hesitate to join in, with comments like, “Oh Sam! You always manage to make my day with your laughter and sense of humor!” cascading on his post.

But the surprises for fans didn’t stop there. Just last week, the Good Morning America star took viewers on an intimate stroll around New York City’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.

The 62-year-old television veteran candidly discussed his health, using the platform to educate and relate to many.

On the sunny day, Sam, with a golden necklace gleaming against his bare chest, delved into a topic that touched him personally: high blood pressure.

Both he and his family grapple with it. While medication is a part of his regimen, Sam emphasized the significance of diet and exercise. “

Rubem and I usually do about a three- to five-mile walk in the park right around lunchtime,” Sam shared, explaining his daily routine.

“Depending on the reason that you have high blood pressure,” Sam noted, “diet and exercise may not be a complete answer for you.”

He confessed that despite his best efforts, he would likely always need some form of medication. However, by maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise, the dosage required could potentially be reduced.

Such transparency about his health gave fans a new level of respect for the television star. Many were left astounded when they realized Sam’s age.

On his 62nd birthday on August 13, he shared a delightful snapshot of himself blowing out a candle on a chocolate cake, lauding his spouse, Rubem Robierb, 46, for the celebration. One admirer commented, “Happiest Birthday, you ageless wonder!!!”

Yet, as the limelight often brings, Sam has also encountered criticism. Following the premiere of his new show, Eyewitness News at 10am, he sought feedback from viewers.

While many comments were supportive, others bordered on trolling. Rather than let negativity faze him, Sam offered a composed response: “Interesting opinions. When I see someone write ‘everything negative’… I know they’re not happy, so I begin to disregard their opinion…”

    J. Holmes is preparing for a big challenge that he’s more than ready for, as he gears up to the upcoming New York Marathon.

The Good Morning America alum is taking part in his second marathon at the annual event, and is training with his girlfriend, Amy Robach.

On Sunday night, T.J. shared a new photo from his training, including a picture of the breathtaking view, and a screengrab of his current timings – 12 miles in just under 2 hours.

He also added a preview of some of the running songs he had been listening to. The post was liked by a number of his followers, including Amy.

The event is significant to the couple for many reasons, not least because it will be the first time they will be seen in public at an official event since their dismissal from ABC in January.

It was reported that Amy and T.J. – who were taken off GMA3 after their ext-mrital affir made headlines – developed feelings for each other while training for last year’s marathon.

The couple used this year’s race as an opportunity to break their nine-month long social media silences, announcing the news of their participation at the end of August.

The couple both uploaded identical photos of their feet resting on a stoop during a training break, to reveal their involvement in the annual race.

The pair have faced a number of challenges as a couple over the past 12 months, having been forced off air abruptly back in December after photos emerged of their affair.

It was then decided in January that the couple would be dismissed from ABC, and neither of them have been working on TV since.

ABC President Kim Goodwin announced at the time of Amy and T.J.’s dismissal: “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News.

“We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

Amy had been married to Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue for 12 years, while T.J. was married to lawyer Marilee Fiebig, also for 12 years.

While Andrew has never spoken out in public about the affair, it’s clear he is still on good terms with Amy’s daughters, Ava, and Annie, who he helped raised during the marriage.

He was pictured enjoying a night out in New York City with them earlier in the year, as they attended a Bruce Springsteen concert, also joined by Andrew’s three sons.

At the end of September, it was announced that 12 of the ABC team including anchors and correspondents will run an ABC News Relay Supporting Team for Kids at the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon.

The upcoming New York Marathon will also see Amy and T.J. run alongside a number of familiar faces.

Ginger Zee’s fans often rely on her social media to get the latest and most relevant takes on weather around the nation, although her latest update left many in disbelief.

The ABC meteorologist, 42, took to her Instagram with a video she’d seen from North Carolina, taken at a height of 5200 feet that captured an incredible wave of snowfall in October.

“Snowy scene at the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina with that chilly fall air. Video taken at about 5200 feet,” she wrote of the sight, in which the falling flakes covered the red and brown leaves of the trees.

Many of her followers were stunned to see a consistent stream of snow this early in the year, given that the first snow showers of the year typically don’t come till December.

One of her fans commented: “No way snow!!! Is that too early?? Climate change right?” while another added: “What is causing that?? I feel like that is way early. Why is it so cold this year?” with,” and a third also wrote: “Looks beautiful but too early for snow.”

Several simply noted how beautiful the scenery was, saying: “Would love to drive through there now,” and: “That’s just gorgeous, thank you for sharing,” as well as: “It’s always beautiful to see our mountain’s foliage.”

Ali Wentworth recently took her followers on an emotional journey with a series of touching posts on Instagram as she admitted to dealing with ‘dark times’.

One such photo captured a radiant moment with her husband, George Stephanopoulos, at a gala for the Good + Foundation, a nonprofit aiming to combat multi-generational poverty.

The event, which included comedy giants like Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan, and Kevin Hart, wasn’t just about big laughs. It was a testament to the therapeutic nature of laughter.

“During dark times laughter can be medicinal,” Ali mused, emphasizing how the gala’s comedic acts offered “a much-needed escape” during challenging times.

Beyond the glitz and humor of the gala, Ali’s posts delved deeper into personal territory. Amidst the comedy and charity, Ali’s own performance at the gala gave a hint of her multifaceted talents.

But juxtaposed against the gala’s glamorous backdrop, Ali’s vulnerability emerged when speaking of her family. She and George have been grappling with the emotional void left by their daughter Harper’s departure for college.

Such transitions aren’t easy, and Ali’s posts underscore the universal pangs of parents becoming empty-nesters.

But it isn’t just Harper’s absence that cast a shadow on Ali’s heart. The recent passing of George’s mother, at the age of 90, added another layer of melancholy to their lives.

In a candid moment, Ali introduced her followers to Cooper, the family dog she affectionately termed her “emotional support dog.”

There’s a palpable solace she finds in Cooper, especially evident in the heartwarming photos she shares. One can imagine Cooper offering a furry shoulder to lean on, softening the sting of Harper’s absence.

Ali’s trip down memory lane further intensified the emotional cadence. She posted a nostalgic image featuring her and her two daughters, Harper and Elliot.

The poignant throwback snapshot showcased a younger Ali cradling a baby Harper, while a toddler Elliot clung to her mother’s shoulders. The simplicity of the “#TBT” caption belied the depth of emotion.

This was more than just a ‘Throwback Thursday’; it was a reflection on the passage of time, the growth of her children, and the swift, relentless march of life itself.

The family’s recent transition was humorously depicted in a light-hearted post, with George dressed as though it was his “first day of class at a boy’s elementary school.” Ali’s playful caption hinted at their collective attempt to deal with their “empty nest” by leaning into humor and love.

In another post, Ali paints a serene picture. Standing against a desert backdrop, she’s roasting marshmallows over a fire pit. Clad in pajamas and with an unmistakable grin, Ali seems to suggest that, even in moments of transition and melancholy, there’s a sweet side to relish.

Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, and George Stephanopoulos are a morning TV staple, but they looked very different on Tuesday’s Good Morning America.

The GMA hosts were transformed from the screen to paper after Notre Dame graduate Sofia Nielsen surprised them with a hand-drawn portrait.

The graduating senior did a remarkable job capturing Robin, Michael, and George’s likeness in the pencil drawing that featured them all with beaming smiles sitting in their news anchor chairs.

Sam Champion unveiled the drawing after speaking about Sofia during a segment on the show, which revealed how she sketched portraits of all 110 of her classmates, presenting them with their gifts during her commencement speech.

Sofia wanted to “honor each classmate for their uniqueness” and spent two months working on the drawings using photos from last year’s yearbook, only finishing the project two days before graduation.

Following the segment, Sam told his co-hosts: “Talk about gifts, this busy young woman created something last night.”

Sofia’s drawing of Robin, Michael, and George then appeared on screen, and they were all blown away by her kind efforts.

Meanwhile, the trio appears to be settling into their new home after the GMA crew moved from Times Square downtown to their “sparkly new headquarters” this week.

In September 2023, the pair finally tied the knot in front of their loved ones (including many members of the ABC News family) at their home in Connecticut, and it looks like their time together has been filled with love.

“We’ve been married… it will be two years coming up,” Robin shared with People at the opening night of Jean Smart’s Call Me Izzy on Broadway, elaborating on how the pair are hoping to spend their two-year anniversary.

“We’re [actually going] to Rwanda,” she told the publication. “Because we wanted to celebrate that way, because our time together has been an adventure. And we thought what better way than to be with the gorillas… in Rwanda?”

Amber gave her own advice on what she believes to be the secret sauce to their relationship: “We keep it fresh. You’ve got to keep it fresh, have our little date nights. We’re on a little date night tonight.”

“We keep it fresh. You’ve got to keep it fresh, have our little date nights.”

As for their perfect date nights, Amber opined: “A favorite restaurant at our neighborhood. We always just support local.”

Robin added her own thought to the mix, citing the need for communication, continuing: “But also, I will say — and we’re going to be honest — we’ve had peaks and valleys,” while clarifying: “Many more peaks than valleys.”

The GMA anchor also explained that “not seeing each other through the lens of your childhood” was key, explaining: “Because everything goes back to when you were younger. And so, we had to respect that we had different upbringings. It was really very helpful. Once we made that breakthrough. It really did help.”

On their 15th anniversary in 2020, Amber tenderly recalled their early days on social media, writing: “15 years ago I met you for drinks on a blind date that both you and I tried to cancel…twice.”

“Your grace caught my eye right away and the ease of the evening continued to flow through dinner. We had a second date soon after and I couldn’t believe how at ease I was with you as we shared each other’s lives sipping lychee and apple martinis.”

“You left for Tahiti the following day and during that time apart I grew this feeling inside of me that still, is very present today…butterflies,” she remembered. “Having you by my side is a gift as we continue to navigate this thing called life.”

“You have shown me time and time again to stay humble and to always treat others with the utmost respect as you never know what one might be going through. Beautiful…absolutely beautiful. I love you with all my heart….boo boo.”

Capital’s Summertime Ball 2025 viewers were left “annoyed” with ITV’s coverage of the star-studded concert.

The annual extravaganza made a triumphant return to Wembley Stadium earlier this month, with the nation tuning in on Sunday (June 22) afternoon to catch the action.

The line-up boasted a glittering array of talent including Mariah Carey, Will Smith, Jade, Benson Boone and Jessie J, not to mention British favourites JLS, McFly, Busted and UK’s Eurovision sensation Remember Monday.

Despite the dazzling performances, fans at home were irked by the “missing” acts from the 90-minute highlights show.

Flocking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one disgruntled viewer wrote: “Why didn’t they show Busted vs McFly? #CapitalSTB.”, reports the Mirror.

Another chimed in: “What’s the point in summertime ball being on tv when they’ve missed off half the acts? McFly, Busted, Lola Young, Zara Larson, James Hype, Remember Monday all missing #summertimenall #CapitalSTB.”

A third vented: “#CapitalSTB #itv1 why you not showing #Mcfly very disappointing they should of been shown its out of order.” Meanwhile, a fourth expressed their frustration, commenting: “#capitalsummertimeball i was waiting to watch Mcfly on # itv but there not showing them why im annoyed with that.”

ITV has become a staple for delivering highlights from the much-anticipated concert at Wembley Stadium each summer, typically airing a week or so following the event.

The show was once again presented by Capital Breakfast hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby, who chatted with some of the performers before they entertained the audience.

Reflecting on his switch from Radio 1 to Capital last year, Jordan expressed: “”Oh, honestly, they have been the best people to work for.

“It was definitely the right decision. It’s been just over 12 months and it has been the best year of my life.

“It’s been so good, we’ve interviewed absolute megastars and what’s lovely now is friends and family and people that have come over to Capital have said, ‘Oh, you really suit the station. It’s like you’ve been there for years’ and that is the biggest compliment.”
