Fox News host Peter Doocy opens up for the First Time about his Father Steve Doocy, revealing the reason behind his PRIDE — leaving audiences touched by a rare father-son bond on television!

Peter, Steve Doocy talk careers, family and that time Peter became the story

Growing up, Peter Doocy remembers starting each and every morning by watching his dad, Steve Doocy, on TV.

But in May, Steve, 68, announced he was leaving Fox News’ curvy couch in New York City to move to Florida, where he would cohost Fox & Friends three days a week.

“It’s definitely an adjustment not seeing him on the TV for the first full three hours of my weekdays, where he’s been during every breakfast time since I was in second grade,” Peter, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of Father’s Day weekend. “But we are so excited that the new assignment means he gets to see so much more of the grandkids, who now get a chance to do one of my favorite things: join him at work.”

It certainly was the case earlier this month when Peter and his wife, Fox Business correspondent Hillary Vaughn, brought their two kids to Nationals Park and visited Grandpa at the Congressional baseball game.

Before long, however, Steve was back in Florida soaking up the sunshine state and preparing for his next assignment.

“Our kids today live all over the country, so if you were them – and your parents invited them to a weekend visit – where would they rather travel?” Steve asked. “To the house in New Jersey they grew up in, where they still have to clean out their closets — or the sun-filled, fun-filled Florida? ‘Get the suntan lotion Dad! We’ll be in Florida Friday night! Can mom get that smoked fish dip from Publix?’”

When asked if he would ever move his family to Florida, Peter was open to the idea.

“Absolutely, we love Florida!” he told Us. “But right now, my wife Hillary and I need to be close to all the action on Capitol Hill and at the White House.”

In celebration of Father’s Day, both Peter and Steve chatted with Us about navigating fatherhood during demanding careers. They also shared a glimpse into their strong friendship away from any camera crew or breaking news.

Keep reading to learn more about Steve and Peter’s special father-son bond.

What has been your reaction to seeing Peter follow in your footsteps and find success in the world of journalism?

Steve: Because the TV business is so challenging, his mom Kathy and I had assumed Peter was on a trajectory to go to business or law school until Peter made national headlines with a couple funny questions to then-presidential candidate John McCain that went viral. One thing led to another and next thing you know, he was working as the Fox News college-aged correspondent. So I never had senior White House correspondent on my BINGO card for Peter.

I fondly remember taking him to the White House Easter Egg Roll when he was about two, and he was chewing on my press pass. Then in the blink of an eye (30 some years later), he works at the White House! One day, visiting Peter was once again chewing on my press pass. And I thought he was done teething in the ‘80s.

Both of you find yourselves in the public eye. Do you ever find yourselves protective of one another?

Peter: I think we always have each other’s backs and look out for each other. My dad is still the best in the business at what we do and taught me everything I know about how TV works. These days I think talking to him about the news of the day is a great way to distill the most interesting parts of the big stories before I have to go pick the President’s brain.

Steve: In the beginning of Peter’s TV career, when he would face a situation that was new to him, he would ask me how I faced that same problem — once upon a time. Having been there, done that, I probably saved him some time making the same mistakes I made 30 years ago. Peter’s now been a network correspondent for 16 years, he’s traveled around the globe multiple times with presidents and the world press — today I think I ask him for more advice than he asks me!

Of course he’s my son, and if I see a quote or a statistic that might help that day with his reporting — I send it his way. Not going to lie, if he uses my tidbit on TV, it makes me happy that even though the whole world hangs on his questions, he still listens to his old man.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve received from your dad about fatherhood?

Peter: Not to spend all my time looking ahead towards the next milestone for the kids… and to savor every moment in the present. And also, the best way to get your kids playing time during middle school sports, if the coaches favor other kids….. is just to become the coach. After a few seasons on the bench, he signed up to be my 8th grade baseball coach, picked all my friends during the town league ‘draft,’ and we ALMOST won it all, in the most fun season of any sport in my whole life.

Can you give us a glimpse into Steve as a grandfather? What makes him shine in this role?

Peter: He’s helping me recreate the best parts of my childhood, for my kids. My parents kept a bunch of my favorite things, like Brio trains and Curious George Books and a fisher price cash register, that are in such good condition. My basement is now close to a copy paste of the one I grew up with in New Jersey (complete with a ping pong table that took him two hours to rebuild last week).

What do you admire most about Peter personally and professionally?

Steve: Nobody in that briefing room is as prepared as Peter is when he sits down to ask either the press secretary or the President questions. He usually spends two hours a morning finding thoughtful and important things to ask about. He has a very strong work ethic that I probably influenced. Peter saw his dad get up at 3 a.m. for 30 years to go to work, and he probably thought every dad does the same thing. They all get up and go to work in the city. However, in retrospect, I’m probably the only dad in the neighborhood who came home wearing thick pancake makeup. Right?

What do you want your kids to know about the United States of America?

Peter: That anything is possible. Bridget loves to play with a plastic chef kit, and if she wants to be a real chef someday, she can. If she’d rather make her favorite class, ballet, a career, she can do that too. George is a little too small for that kind of play time but he hears the same thing from us. They will both always know the reason they’ve got endless opportunities is because we live in a country where millions of brave men and women have signed up to protect us.

Fox & Friends airs on Fox News weekdays at 6 a.m. ET.

Fox & Friends Steve Doocy Leaving Studio Show for New Role

Beloved “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy has put his longtime New Jersey home on the market for just under $1.8 million—weeks after tearfully announcing that he was stepping down from his full-time role on the hit show in order to relocate to Florida.

Doocy, 68, who had appeared as a co-host on the program since its inception in 1998, revealed in early May that he would be ending his decadeslong run as a full-time star, after growing increasingly frustrated with his 3:30 a.m. commute from his Wyckoff abode to the network’s Manhattan studio.

Speaking to viewers during the May 1 episode of “Fox & Friends,” Doocy—whose son, Peter Doocy, is a Fox News correspondent—insisted that his relocation did not mean he was “retiring,” but rather taking on a new part-time position that would see him hosting from farther afield.

“After decades of getting up at 3:30 and driving into NYC in the dark, today is the last day I will host the show … from the couch. I am not retiring, I’m not leaving the show. I’m still a host—but it’s time for a change,” he said.

He added that, after years of living in New Jersey with his wife, Kathy, the couple were planning to move to the Sunshine State, where they own a home in Jupiter, which is also home to several members of the Trump family, including Don Jr.; his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump; and Eric and Lara Trump.

Indeed, Doocy noted that his move to Florida would give him plenty of opportunity to cover new topics—particularly because he was going to be located so much closer to President Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago resort.

“I’ll be going from the Carolinas to the Keys. From Middle America to Mar-a-Lago. Call me the coast-to-coast host,” he said.

Doocy made no mention of whether he planned to keep a home base near New York—however it appears he’s now decided to commit to his new life in Florida by listing his property in New Jersey, which he and his wife have owned since 1994.

The property, which was put on the market on June 19, is described in its listing as a “classic Sicomac beauty on over an acre,” offering four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a stunning backyard with ample space for kids to run around and play.

Though some of the rooms may well need updating, with the description noting that the kitchen was last renovated in 2010, the dwelling has undergone some more recent upgrades, with the primary bath listed as having been overhauled in 2021.

Images shared in the listing reveal a glimpse into the Doocy family’s life in the property, with two of the bedrooms still decorated as they were then the TV host’s daughters, Mary and Sally, were still living there, complete with large initial art over each of their beds.

The primary bathroom features a number of framed photos of the Doocy children, while other art in the dwelling includes a number of Americana designs, from a portrait of former President Abraham Lincoln to a painting of the Statue of Liberty.

Inside, the home features a wide open living room as well as a two-story great room with a fireplace, while the basement has been “partially finished” and could well serve as a future entertaining space.

Outside, there is a large deck that overlooks the lush lawn, which is ripe for a new family to make their own.

“Enjoy all this classic home has to offer with the gleaming hardwood floors and large rooms… Don’t miss this classic, updated, turn-key home! Come see!” the listing urges.

While walking away from the home where he raised his three children was undoubtedly a difficult decision, Doocy appears to be relishing his new life in Florida, where he has already interviewed Lara Trump at a golfing event in West Palm Beach, before grabbing a coffee with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy in Miami.

He has also found time to travel to a number of other locations, including Nashville, where he chatted with Kid Rock; and to Michigan, where he jammed with Ted Nugent.

The TV host, whose interviews are being aired as part of his new “Morning Walk” segments, also managed to squeeze in a visit to his son, Peter, and his wife, Hillary, who welcomed her second child in April, in Washington, D.C., where they all attended a Nationals game together.

“The Doocys of DC teamed up with Grandpa Steve at Nationals Park this morning on ‘Fox & Friends’ for a preview of tonight’s Congressional Baseball game,” he wrote on Instagram, while sharing a picture of himself posing with Peter, Hillary, and their two kids.

“After this—grandpa is buying brunch. I’ll expense it—they all appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ and it seems like a quasi-legit business deduction, right?”

When he announced his departure from his full-time role, Doocy noted that he was hoping to spend much more time with his family, admitting that his hosting duties had often forced him to miss out on bonding moments with his kids when they were growing up.

“When my kids were growing up, I never had breakfast with them. I was here. Kathy did everything, but starting tomorrow, I’m going to have breakfast with my grandkids and my children whenever I can,” he explained.

Doocy also revealed that AI had informed him that his alarm has gone off before dawn a total of 6,828 times, joking that he’s reached his limit as far as early-morning wakeups are concerned.

“That, ladies and gentlemen, is a lot of donuts. It’s a great job … but the hours suck,” he added.

As for his homebase in Florida, records indicate that he and his wife own a three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Jupiter dwelling that was last sold in 2014 for $1 million—having been on the market for just one month.

“The Truth No One Wants To Hear” – Fox News host Harris Faulkner stuns everyone with her story of being judged by race!

Breaking: Is Harris Faulkner Leaving Fox News? The Inside ScoopNEW YORK (AP) — As a Black journalist who works at Fox News Channel, Harris Faulkner is accustomed to people who presume to know where she stands on issues.

She’s motivated more than bothered by that.

“When anybody looks at you and looks at your position and think they know who you are, you have the advantage of being able to surprise them,” said Faulkner, centerpiece of two weekday hours at Fox and host of a special on America’s racial reckoning that airs at 10 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.

Faulkner is the most prominent Black personality at Fox as moderator on “Outnumbered” at noon each weekday, reaching an audience that is overwhelmingly white and conservative during a season of racial unrest over police brutality and calls for a more equitable society.

She sees it as an opportunity to involve them in a conversation they’re not often part of.

“To be Black and on the air at Fox News presents a greater challenge than if you’re working on any other traditional news network,” said Roland S. Martin, host of the digital news show “Unfiltered.” “It is difficult. It is a minefield you have to walk.”

Faulkner schooled President Donald Trmp on r@c1al issues in an interview that earned her plaudits last month. She also sometimes asks questions on “Outnumbered” that hew closely to a conservative line.

The 54-year-old Faulkner’s father is a former U.S. Army officer who passed on a love of country to his daughter despite experiencing the segregated South. “He used to tell me, ‘I’d rather fight for what I believe in and know that America will catch up and get through the struggle than fight for any other nation on Earth.’” she said.

BIRTHDAY OF THE DAY: Fox News' Harris Faulkner - POLITICO

She worked local news jobs in Greenville, N.C., Kansas City and Minneapolis, joining Fox News in 2005.

Faulkner met Byron Pitts, co-anchor of ABC News’ “Nightline,” when they both covered the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.

“She’s a very smart journalist,” Pitts said. “She’s the real deal … I respect her.”

What Faulkner seeks, both Sunday and on “Outnumbered,” is to discuss issues brought up in the wake of G30rge Fl0yd’s d3ath from many vantage points.

Faulkner knows that police treatment of Blacks is an issue; she’s been pulled over for “driving while Black,” At the same time, she holds deep respect for civil servants like police.

“Funding of police is a conversation that needs to have everybody at the table, not just the people shouting in the streets,” Faulkner said.

When discussing Blck Lives Mtter in an interview with The Associated Press, Faulkner brings up violence in cities like Chicago, killings of children and wonders why demonstrators aren’t marching in the streets to protest Blck-on-Blck cr1me.

Meet Harris Faulkner - Nixon Library | June 19, 2018

Many supporters of the movement consider that a deflection, akin to answering Blck Lives Mtter with “all lives matter.” Of course, all lives matter, they say. The point is to draw attention to times when officials with a duty to serve and protect seem to value Black lives less.

Told that no one is arguing that the lives of young people caught up in street violence don’t matter, Faulkner said, “But nobody is saying they do, and that’s the problem.”

In her view, “everybody’s race counts.

“My husband is white,” she said. “His faith is Judaism. When we talk about these issues, we don’t get into a discussion of how my life matters more than his, or his life matters more than mine. We get at it from, ‘how do we both rise in this situation?’”

When Joe B1d3n told a radio host in May that “you ain’t Black” if you can’t figure out whether to support him or Trmp for president — a remark the Democrat quickly apologized for —it drew an unusually personal response from Faulkner. She publicly said that B1d3n’s statement was hurtful.

“It especially hit home to me because I am in a biracial community in my home,” she said, “and talking about somebody’s blackness based on how they think or how they look is insulting. And it keeps us back as people of color.”

Trmp retweeted her statement about B1d3n, adding that she was “a great American.”

One moment from “Outnumbered” last year became fodder for discussion on Martin’s show. Jessica Tarlov, usually the lone Democrat on “Outnumbered” was listing racist incidents involving Trmp when Faulkner interrupted with a plea for civility. It led to questions about whether she’s as hard on Trmp on the topic of race as she was on B1d3n.

Tarlov, in an interview, said she did not think Faulkner cut her off or that it should be viewed that she was protecting Trmp. “We’re all human and things hit us in certain ways,” she said.

Amazon.com: Harris Faulkner: books, biography, latest update

Faulkner recalled being tough on the air about how Trmp initially responded to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico in 2017.

It’s in that moment,” she said. “I can’t speak to every single moment, but when it hits me, I’m as hard as can be.”

Tarlov said she had no idea who Faulkner supported for president in 2016, despite working with her for three years.

Asked whether she supported Trmp, Faulkner said people can think whatever they want. “I don’t discuss how I vote with anybody,” she said. “I’m a journalist. We shouldn’t do that. Some do. But I’m not proselytizing any particular point of view, faith or otherwise, and if they want to think what they think, go right ahead.”

She added, “I challenge anybody to guess where I’m coming from. And, in fact, if they have answers, can they tell me?”

When Faulkner teamed with Bill Hemmer in the spring for a coronavirus town hall with Trmp, they were criticized for going soft. But that wasn’t the case when Faulkner sat down with Trmp in June during the protests following Floyd’s d3ath.

When Trmp appeared to question some of Abraham Lincoln’s achievements, Faulkner responded, “Well, we are free, Mr. President.”

And when she asked about Trmp’s tweeting, “when the looting starts, the shooting starts,” Faulkner came prepared with an explanation of where the phrase originated and why many found it disturbing.

That showed the importance of having an African American journalist with presence do the interview, Martin said.

“Guess what?” he said. “Maria Bartiromo wouldn’t have done that. Sean Hannity wouldn’t have done that. Laura Ingraham wouldn’t have done that.”

Bill Grueskin, a Columbia University journalism professor, praised Faulkner in Columbia Journalism Review. He wrote that “she was neither antagonistic nor admiring. She put herself into the interview, framed in her roles as a Black woman and parent, in a way that journalists rarely do with her skill and care.”

While you could argue that Faulkner could have pressed harder on some questions, “Trmp usually gets more defensive,” Grueskin wrote. “Faulkner’s methodical approach has its own power.”

Faulkner said her role is not to play “gotcha,” but to listen to the president’s answers and follow up.

“It doesn’t bother me that people assume,” she said. “But it is an opportunity to show them. You don’t know until you watch and listen.”

“They Can’t DO that to my Daughter” – Fox News host Harris Faulkner opens up about a Mother’s FEAR that left audiences speechless!

Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner has called out her morning TV show competitor The View in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, likening the left-leaning show to a recent Massachusetts council meeting mobbed by yelling transgender activists.

Faulkner, 59, threw some serious shade on the ABC hosts for resorting to ‘vitri0l’ and having a ‘myopic’ worldview and a ‘dicey’ approach to facts.

‘On The View, there is this sort of, shout it, cuss it, do whatever you gotta do to get a little more attention around the hot topics,’ she said.

She let loose on The View stars, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, after her 11am Fox News show, The Faulkner Focus, beat them for the first time in a shock ratings upset.

Faulkner The Focus received 2,552,000 viewers in January, edging ahead of The View’s 2,508,000 – a significant de-throning of the long-running ABC show by Faulkner’s, which has a smaller potential audience on cable.

In the wide-ranging interview with DailyMail.com, Faulkner, 59, does not hold back – revealing why her opposition to transgender competitors in women’s sports is personal and describes her bi-racial marriage to her Jewish husband, 57, jokingly calling herself a cougar.

She described how her Baptist-Christian faith was a central part of her life, and lauded the Trmp administration’s racing start with DOGE shaking up Washington DC.

But the Fox News anchor’s saltiest comments were reserved for the women with whom she competes in the 11am hour on TV: the hosts of ABC’s The View.

Faulkner said The View’s big problem is that their show is pre-taped and their unique quality compared to other talk shows is simply ‘vitriol’

‘I’ve seen it when there was a powerhouse journalist,’ Faulkner told DailyMail.com. ‘When Barbara Walters was leading it.

‘But now I don’t really know what the show is, apart from talk, talk, talk; a lot of combativeness.

‘We have lots of guests who feel spicy and passionate about what they say,’ the newscaster said. ‘That’s not unique to The View or to any other show that I’ve done.

‘What I do think is unique to them is vitriol.

‘A news director told me early in my career, you don’t have to shout breaking news, and you don’t have to shout the truth.

‘It’s not personal,’ she added. ‘But you gotta have the chops to be able to do it.

‘I’ve seen Sunny Hostin read so many apologies on the air recently for the legal exposure of some of the things that she and others have said on the show. That’s dicey.’

Faulkner actually appeared on The View herself in 2018, promoting one of her books about the life lessons she learned growing up as a ‘military brat’ to her Army Airman, Vietnam veteran father.

During her appearance, Faulkner, who is black and married to a white man, said she was perturbed when Hostin brought up her r@c3 – but said Goldberg was ‘gracious’ and brought the conversation back round to her book.

‘Sunny Hostin came after me, they had put a picture of my b1r@cial children on a huge digital wall behind me, and she took the conversation to r@c3,’ she said. ‘I knew my kids would be watching.

‘Whoopi goes, ‘You know what, let’s talk about the book.’ And I appreciated that.’

Controversies on The View include Goldberg in 2022 claiming the holocaust was not about r@c3. Years earlier in 2010, she defended Mel Gibson saying he is ‘not a racist’ despite reportedly using the N-word and making anti-Semitic comments.

In 2015, guest co-host Kelly Osborne got in trouble for saying ‘If you kick out all the Latinos who’s going to clean your toilets?’

In one episode, Behar revealed she dressed in blackface when she was younger.

And on camera in a 2023 show, Goldberg asked co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin if she was pregnant when she was not.

Faulkner said she believes her Fox News show’s ‘superpower’ is that it’s live, not pre-taped like The View, as well as having guests with diverse political views.

DailyMail.com was on set as Faulkner hosted two shows, called on sources to contact her about federal workers’ access to retirement and exchanged  emails  while at her desk

‘I think that’s difficult to do if you only see the world myopically, and that’s the feeling that I get when I watch other shows, The View as an example,’ she said.

‘That isn’t to say that they don’t have people on with different opinions, but the shouting is coming from the left on that show.

‘It looks like one of those anti-DOGE meetings or the hearings on Capitol Hill. Democrats right now are apoplectic and they’re shouting and they’re cussing at us.’

Faulkner was comparing The View to the scenes at a Worcester, Massachusetts council meeting on February 11, where tr@nsg3nder act1vists yelled angrily at the public podium and city leaders voted in favor of making the town a ‘sanctuary city’ for the trans community.

The Fox News host covered the raucous and controversial meeting on her show the day of her interview.

Though her comments suggested The View is not live, the ABC show usually is broadcast live, though sometimes airs pre-taped shows or repeats.

For example, in March last year, Entertainment Weekly reported the airing of a ‘pre-taped’ episode ‘before live shows kick up again’.

The show advertises itself as typically having ‘Live broadcasts five days a week’.

And while Faulkner Focus did beat The View in January’s ratings, ABC pointed out that one of the weeks included in the viewing data was when The View was showing repeats, not its usual live shows.

The channel also defended its show, saying it ‘continues to rank number one in Households and Total Viewers’.

A network source noted that The View is an opinion show ‘with the mission to have dynamic conversations from diverse points of view.’

‘This is what the audience expects from The View and they are showing up. The show continues to rank number one in Households and Total Viewers,’ the source added.

Faulkner has been outspoken about her opposition to some tr@nsg3nder act1vism, including her belief that transgender women should not compete in women’s sports.

‘I have an elite athlete in my family, my youngest daughter, who just wrapped up eight years of her young life, competing at an elite level in gymnastics,’ she told DailyMail.com.

‘She won her final competition, a huge regional, in January. We weren’t expecting it, but she won a gold medal for the vault. We’re really proud of her.

Whoopi Goldberg defends Mel Brooks movie ‘Blazing Saddles’

‘The sport would be very different if there were biological men who could compete against my daughter.

‘I want her to be safe. And I want her to feel like her best accomplishments matter, and that the competition itself is fair.’

Faulkner said her other daughter, Bella, who turned 18 in December, is planning to attend college in the fall.

She said Bella was ‘remarkably confident’ in her political opinions – though she did not disclose what those were.

‘Bella knows who she is and she’s remarkably confident about for whom she’ll vote,’ Faulkner said.

‘She wants to study early childhood education, and with a specialty in children who are challenged and need extra love and support.’

But Faulkner did let slip that Bella became more interested in the politics of the tax system after the teen got her first paycheck.

‘She’s working and she sees taxes being taken out, and she’s like, ‘Well, what’s this going to?” the mother of two said.

The Fox News anchor said she fears for her ‘b1r@cial, ‘ecumenically-raised’ daughters’ as they are b1r@cial and Jewish

‘She is a fan of Doge because she’s like, ‘I want tax efficiency’.’

The Fox host, a Baptist Christian, is married to former TV reporter-turned-media consultant Tony Berlin, who is Jewish.

She admitted to fearing for her b1r@cial, ‘ecumenically-raised’ daughters after seeing recent outbreaks of AT-S3mitism on school campuses, but said that she believed in leading by example.

‘As a person of color, and as a person who speaks boldly about faith, it’s very adjacent when people are hated for the way that they believe, and their position in society,’ she said.

‘Am I more worried about them standing out for their hair texture and their skin color or their faith? I’m worried about all of it. And not just for my kids.

‘I really think it’s important for Jewish children on campuses to know that they have partners, that the hate on the campus is a microcosm compared with the love that’s out there.

‘That is necessary, I think, to kind of diffuse the hate that we have seen on these campuses.’

Faulkner has been snatching as much family time as she can before her two teens fly the nest. That includes a surprise trip to Hawaii last year, launched before dawn like one of her father’s military excursions.

‘I said, ‘Hey, girls, wake up.’ It was five o’clock in the morning,’ she chuckled.

‘I ordered on Amazon backpacks and hiking shoes for the whole family. You could only take one bag. There’s no makeup in that bag. We were on the ground for 50 hours. We had a whole plan. Oh my gosh, it was the best time.’

Faulkner described herself as ‘Type A’: liking to be in charge, senior in many areas of her life, including in age to her husband.

‘I’m a cougar. He’s a little younger than I am,’ she said, laughing and apologizing to her Fox PR handler.

She added that Berlin knows her well enough to know she doesn’t want a surprise for her upcoming 60th birthday, and would instead prefer another family getaway ‘off the beaten track’.

She said her family meetups with the Faulkner clan of ten cousins in Dallas, Texas were as low-key as her vacations, describing them ‘like a tailgate meets a TikTok fit check’.

‘We just have so much fun. We don’t talk about my job,’ she said.

The TV anchor said among many lessons from her late parents, she learned leadership from her father and self-care from her mother.

Faulkner’s upbringing of having a father (top-right) in the military and a mother (top-left) who worked as a social worker taught her to maintain a daily routine and self-care

‘My father was military, and there were expectations of leadership in my household, and I was given responsibilities at a very early age, so I’m really comfortable with that.’

‘But I also had a mom who was a social worker, and she knew self-care and wellness before these were buzzwords.

‘As a very young child, I would see my mom with mayonnaise on her face, her hair up in a hot towel with olive oil all in it. She was taking care of her skin.’

Faulkner said her own daily routine involves waking up before dawn and slinking down to the ‘man cave’ in her home for some quiet, alone time to brief herself on the day’s news, before the onslaught of the day.

‘It’s got several TVs in that space, and kind of looks like a mini newsroom,’ she said. ‘I bet my kids would call it the sitch space.’

Later in the morning, she gets a car from her New Jersey home to Fox News’ Manhattan headquarters.

DailyMail.com was invited behind the scenes of The Faulkner Focus set there on February 13.

Faulkner appeared a few minutes before going live at 11am, striking a powerful silhouette in a lilac dress with capelet-style shoulders and complementing purple four-inch heels.

As her staff buzzed around her, she sifted through pages of annotated documents and asked producers in her earpiece for updates on the tally of Senate votes for RFK Jr.’s confirmation as Health and Human Services Secretary, which reached the threshold of 51 live on air during her show.

After her hour-long show, she joined Kayleigh McEnany, Emily Compagno, Kaylee McGhee White and Jason Chaffetz on the sofas of the Outnumbered set downstairs.

Among the day’s topics for the team was Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency targeting a limestone mine in Pennsylvania used to store federal workers’ paperwork, where retirements were reportedly being held up because the elevator was so slow.

Speaking to DailyMail.com in her office after the two shows, Faulkner sought to demonstrate the power of live TV.

During Outnumbered, she had called on federal workers to contact her if their retirement had been delayed.

Minutes later, she was scrolling through emails at her desk, as accounts from government staff and their spouses poured in.

‘People are sending me their file numbers. This woman’s husband passed away after 40 years of civil service. ‘I’ve yet to receive my survivor benefits… He passed away in October of last year,” she said.

Turning from her computer, the anchor made one final dig at her competitors at The View.

‘We’re live, we’re not on tape. This is not hard,’ she said.

‘We are in probably one of the fastest-paced administrations ever. Trmp is outpacing himself from 2017, and we are sort of running this course with him.

‘We have to keep up with that. The View is not able to do that because of their design, but partially because of the way that they are staffed.

‘Our ability to be nimble will always put us in a position to score big against them every now and then.

‘I like a good competitor, it makes me better. So in some ways, whatever they have done over there, they’ve put me in a position where I can come out and win even more. So thank you.’

A memorable BIRTHDAY for Fox News host Harris Faulkner – An emotional reflection on the sacrifices behind her success!

    Harris Faulkner

How/where are you celebrating your birthday and with whom? “It will be in two parts. On my birthday eve, my husband Tony and I will have a special dinner at a favorite restaurant, Grissini, in a neighboring New Jersey town. I’ll be having the pesto gnocchi and share a plate of chicken Milanese with Tony, who will roll BYOB-style with a bottle of Taste Red 2014! On my actual birthday, my daughters and I will attend their soccer game and gymnastics practice. They will pick out my wardrobe and style my hair for the day—OH LORD. We’ll also do a dry run of our Halloween costumes. They are quick to remind me that my birthdate October 13th is Halloween backwards, October 31st!”

How did you get your start in media? “My mom cautioned me not to become a gossip! I was always up in people’s business. People told me stuff… even when I didn’t ask and I channeled my story gathering and good sources into a hunger for the news. I wrote for my university newspaper and went on to freelance for a Los Angeles publication in my first months after graduating from UC Santa Barbara. I also interned at a couple of TV stations in the LA area. From interning to my first paid (barely) TV news job in Greenville, North Carolina, I was on my way. 25 years, 6 Emmy Journalism Awards and maybe a million news stories reported later… I’m at Fox News. The dream continues!”

What’s an interesting book/article you’re reading now or finished? And why? “My 2018 book tour has been a highlight in my career. It will resume after the midterm elections with a few more upcoming fall book speeches and signings for my first bestseller, ‘9 Rules of Engagement: A Military Brat’s Guide to Life and Success.’ I’m letting my social media followers know over my birthday weekend when I will be in their cities. The book I am currently reading requires me to reveal exclusively to Politico readers is about my family’s clandestine history with a serious mental health disorder. My younger cousin Timothy Lane just penned ‘Trapped Inside My Mind,’ and it is causing an amazing response on Amazon. He has schizophrenia and the detail that he shares in his book is heartbreaking and jarring. We have a large extended family in Dallas, Texas. It’s all hands on deck to help Timothy tell his tortured and hidden truth so he can realize his dream of helping others. I cried with nearly every page because it is so clear that he suffered in silence for most of our lives. It is also apparent from the response to ‘Trapped…’ that there are a lot of people battling mental health illnesses in shame and thereby, suffering without treatment. Pick up a copy and see if it resonates with you or someone you know.”

What is a trend going on in the U.S. or abroad that doesn’t get enough attention? “After recently anchoring a primetime town hall special on immigration and the President’s border wall, live from Phoenix, it became glaringly obvious how much voters care about immigration policy. The response was intense from Americans across the country, and not just from those who live in border states. We definitely want to pay attention to the debate around critical points such as, DACA, a growing illegal immigrant population and more, as voters head to the polls for the midterm elections.”

How is the Trump presidency going? “No one can argue against the successful unemployment rate. Nationwide it is at 3.7%- the lowest since man first walked on the moon! For people who have been out of a job for a long time since the Great Recession ended in June 2009, it may personally feel a bit like Neil Armstrong said about that first lunar stroll, ‘one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.’ President Trump has made political news interesting and necessary for people to follow. If that continues to translate into people actually voting and not just talking about politics on November 6th’s midterm elections, that would be very positive. Americans need to be engaged and invested in the legislative process that affects their daily lives, otherwise we are just democracy in name only.”

What’s a fun fact that people in Washington might not know about you? “It’s not completely a secret, but I watch an inordinate number of hours of C-SPAN hearings, lectures etc…I zone out and soak up important topics on Capitol Hill, without commercials or content I have to mute when the kids enter the room. My friend Kennedy, who often joins me as a co-host on ‘OUTNUMBERED’ (weekdays at noon ET!) bought me these socks because I’m such a nerd.”

Not much can prevent Harris Faulkner from achieving her goals—certainly not a little rain. On this early summer day, the rising star of the Fox News afternoon chat show, Outnumbered, is training for the upcoming Avon 39 Walk. The morning’s drizzle is picking up. It’s wet—and getting wetter.

Faulkner, 49, grabs a baseball cap from her car in case it starts to pour. Wearing a red headband, hot pink jacket and matching sneakers, she launches into a power walk around Overpeck Park in Leonia. She plans to complete four circuits today, totaling about five miles. That’s far short of the 39.3 miles she’ll cover in the two days of the Avon Walk to End Breast Cnc3r in October. (The event takes place a few days after her 50th birthday.) But today’s a Saturday, her only day off all week, and with two young daughters at home, the upbeat and energetic Faulkner needs to train whenever she can grab the time.

Happy Birthday Tony! Thanks to our beloved friends for a great summer night! ❤️ #husband #shindig #havananightsparty

Faulkner joined Fox nearly a decade ago, following stints as a newscaster in North Carolina, Kansas and Minnesota, where she met her husband, Tony Berlin, a former newscaster who now runs his own media-relations company.

A recipient of six Emmy awards, Faulkner recently marked her first anniversary as co-anchor of Outnumbered, one of Fox’s hottest daytime shows. According to the network, it’s the top-rated cable news show in its afternoon time slot. Faulkner describes the show’s mix of hard news and talk as the future of TV news. The format features four women and one man debating and dishing about the day’s issues and cultural happenings. The discussion, at times, becomes heated.

For Faulkner, it’s part of a six-day work week that begins Sunday evenings with her anchor slot on Fox Report Weekend. Monday through Friday, she steers the conversation on Outnumbered.

Walker in the Rain: Training with Harris Faulkner

Despite her busy schedule, Faulkner took on the Avon walk to honor family members and friends whose lives have been touched by breast cnc3r—especially her Aunt Mary, her mother’s younger sister, who was recently diagnosed with the disease.

Faulkner grew up an Army brat, moving with her family to places such as Kansas, Germany and New Jersey’s Fort Monmouth, where her father, a former combat pilot, was stationed. She spent her formative years around military brass, soaking up their perspective on global conflicts and strategic thinking.

“Having a parent who served in the military has made me a better journalist,” says Faulkner, explaining that it enabled her to better grasp the significance of world events, such as the fall of the Iraqi city of Ramadi in May.

Faulkner attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where her extracurricular activities included work as a model; at one point, she graced a Santa Barbara calendar as Ms. October. After college, she considered law, then decided to try journalism. She worked two jobs—at a Los Angeles TV station and a public-access cable channel—and soon was clocking about 70 hours a week. “I love the energy and urgency of working in news,” she says.

After Los Angeles, Faulkner moved around the country for TV news jobs, finally landing in New York. In 2005, she came to the attention of Fox News chief Roger Ailes while working as a correspondent for the former 21st Century Fox show, A Current Affair. It was a life-changing moment for Faulkner, and she’s been at Fox ever since.

When she’s not covering breaking news, Faulkner can be found playing Barbies with her daughters, Bella, 8, and Danika, 6, at their home in Edgewater. The girls are responsible for the sparkly, seafoam-green nail polish she sports today. Faulkner sees her own responsibility as shielding them from the violence and bloodshed of TV news.

“We’re very tech light in our house,” she says, picking up the pace of her walk. “We like to watch movies about princesses.”

We’ve done four laps around Overpeck, and the rain is coming down steadily. Most people would pack up and leave. But not Faulkner.
“C’mon, let’s do one more lap!” she says. I wave goodbye, and off she goes.

The residence last traded hands for $18 million in 2021 — the following years saw renovations with new bathrooms, new flooring and impact sliding windows.

Set on nearly 2 acres, the nearly 12,000-square-foot residence, which was built in 1990, has eight bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms. This being Florida, there’s a pool, a dock with a new seawall and a balcony. There’s also a roof-level observation terrace.

Inside, perks include a fireplace, a bar, a wine room and an elevator.

The Journal notes the dwelling initially listed in February for $29 million. It relisted in October for $25.95 million.

Local real estate agents told the Journal that, as it stands, the home is in good shape — but some discerning buyers may consider it a teardown.

In May of this year, Hannity listed his home on Long Island for $13.75 million. Standing on nearly 6 acres in Centre Island, that property quickly sold in June for $12.7 million in cash to a Hannity fan.

In early 2024, Hannity announced he was broadcasting his radio show, “The Sean Hannity Show,” as well as his “Hannity” television program, from West Palm Beach.

“If anybody is listening to this program for any length of time, been threatening now to do this for quite a while, but we are now beginning our first broadcast of my new home, and that is in the free state of Florida. How is Fox News host Kat Timpf now? Health update after Childbirth and breast Canc3r battle!

How is Fox News host Kat Timpf now? Health update after Childbirth and breast Canc3r battle!

Fox News star Greg Gutfeld‘s longtime late-night co-host Kat Timpf made a triumphant return to the popular show on June 16—four months after revealing that she had been diagnosed with breast cnc3r, just hours before she went into labor with her first child.

The popular “Gutfeld!” host wasted no time in offering viewers a humorous update about her health, excitedly announcing that she is officially “b00b-free” and “cnc3r-free.”

Speaking about her time away from the show, from which she has been absent since February, Timpf, 36, teased that while she didn’t suffer from stretch marks, “I did cut my t-ts off. So I am b00b-free. I am cnc3r-free as well. They got everything. I’m very excited about it.”

The on-air personality, who lives in New York City with her husband, Cameron Friscia, and their newborn son, noted that her cnc3r journey is far from over, revealing that she still has to undergo several reconstructive surgeries.

“It was a hard thing to go through, and it still is,” Timpf, who underwent treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on the Upper East Side, shared. “Tough thing to go through, easy decision to make because I didn’t want to risk my life over a couple of 32As.”

“Gutfeld!” co-host Kat Timpf has revealed she is cnc3r-free upon her return to the Fox News show after spending her months of maternity leave inside her New York City dwelling.

Timpf, 36, who lives in New York City with her husband, Cameron Friscia, was diagnosed with breast cnc3r in February—just hours before she gave birth to their first child, a boy.

She joked that although she didn’t get “stretch marks,” she did get her b00bs cut off in a double mastectomy.

    (kattimpf/Instagram)

Although Timpf insisted that she “loves being a mom,” she admitted that the way doctors discovered her cnc3r diagnosis was “truly insane.”

She revealed that medical experts have not been able to definitively determine whether her cnc3r was linked to her pregnancy—but insisted that she has no regrets either way, because welcoming her son made all of her medical struggles “so worth it.”

Timpf first shared the news of her stage-zero breast cnc3r diagnosis on Feb. 25, telling fans that she would be undergoing a double mastectomy “as soon as possible” after the birth of her son.

She joked that she began meeting with doctors about the best treatment plan just hours after she delivered her baby: “By the afternoon, I was waddling around from appointment to appointment, talking about how to get my cnc3r out.”

In March, she told fans on Instagram that she had undergone a double mastectomy to treat the cnc3r, sharing an image of her feet hanging off a hospital bed with a gown draped over her.

Despite the severity of the procedure, Timpf retained her sense of humor, joking in the caption: “Post-op! They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant.”

Throughout her recovery—and her maternity leave—the TV star continued to share glimpses of her life on her social media accounts, posting images taken inside the New York City apartment that she shares with Friscia and their new baby boy.

Timpf, who is originally from Detroit, where she still owns a home, moved to the Big Apple in 2014, revealing in a 2024 Instagram post marking her 10th anniversary that she initially lived in an “absolute s—hole” in East Harlem, joking that it was a “ridiculous decision” to move.

Timpf added that she still has reconstructive surgeries to undergo, however, she is on the up and up.

    (kattimpf/Instagram)

In March, she told fans that she had her breasts removed as part of her cnc3r treatment.

    (kattimpf/Instagram)

Timpf, who hails from Michigan, moved to the Big Apple 11 years ago. She still holds the keys to a property in her hometown of Detroit.

    (kattimpf/Instagram)

“10 years ago today I made the ridiculous decision to pack up my things and move into an absolute s—hole (literally, there was often s— in the stairwells of the building for some reason) apartment in East Harlem,” she captioned her post.

“Things are far better for me now than I ever could have imagined back then, but I also never could have imagined some of what I’d have to go through along the way. It’s been a dream, and at times it’s been a nightmare, but I’m just so grateful for this beautifully bizarre life.”

In the accompanying video, which showed her strolling around her lower Manhattan neighborhood, Timpf added: “10 years of me officially living in New York City. And it’s just so remarkable to think about how I’ve been living here for 10 years and I’m still alive. How?

“It’s been great, though,” she concluded.

Indeed, a great deal changed for Timpf in the 10 years that she had been living in the Big Apple, not least her 2020 engagement and 2021 wedding to Friscia, whom she met on the exclusive dating app Raya.

After their wedding, Timpf told People that she had been unsure about whether she really “believed in monogamy at all,” revealing how Friscia changed her perspective on love.

“When I fell in love with Cam, though, I realized how wrong I was [about it] because I felt more free than I ever have in my entire life,” she explained. “Knowing that I have his support and love, I am more fully myself and I am myself more confidently than I ever thought I could be.

“I have less anxiety about things than I used to, too, because I know there is nothing that could ever be a match for the team that we are together. I feel so safe, but I’m also shocked to find that the safety isn’t boring. I am having the time of my life with him.”

“I suffered both physically and emotionally” – Fox News host Kat Timpf reveals sh0cking truths about her Canc3r treatment and Childbirth, leaving audiences stunned!

Fox News’s Kat Timpf returned to the panel on late-night comedy show Gutfeld! with a big health update on Monday.

Timpf, 36, has been absent from the show since giving birth in February. Just hours before going into labor, she was diagnosed with breast cnc3r. She has since shared several updates via social media, but Monday marked her highly anticipated return to the network.

Before officially welcoming Timpf back to the panel, host Greg Gutfeld used his opening monologue to recap her last few months, infused with his signature snark.

Timpf said that while she didn’t get stretch marks, which she had been worried about before she departed from the show to give birth, “I did ct my tts 0ff. So I am b00b-fr33.

“I am cnc3r-free as well. They got everything,” she continued, drawing applause from the live studio audience. “So I’m very excited about it. It was a hard thing to go through, and it still is.” Timpf noted that she still has reconstructive surgeries ahead.

“Tough thing to go through, easy decision to make because I didn’t want to risk my life over a couple of 32As,” she said.

Timpf said she “loves being a mom,” adding that the way the situation with her cnc3r diagn0sis unfolded was “truly insane.”

On February 25, Timpf shared the harrowing reality of learning about her stage zero breast cnc3r diagn0sis just hours before birthing her first child, a son, with husband Cameron Friscia. The Gutfeld! panelist also revealed she would require a double mast3ct0my “as soon as possible.”

Since announcing her cnc3r diagn0sis, Timpf has provided several updates via social media. She’s kept details of her newborn private while publicly detailing her cnc3r journey.

Outside of her Fox co-hosting duties, Timpf is a comedian and the author behind two New York Times bestselling books. She joined Fox in 2015 and is a regular contributor on Gutfeld!

After speaking to Timpf, Gutfeld then turned to his other co-hosts to get their reactions to her return. Political commentator Kennedy, who filled in for Timpf, said she “had been looking forward to this day for so long.” Former pro wrestler and actor Tyrus gifted Timpf a Godzilla action figure for her new son.

Fans were also thrilled by Timpf’s return.

“With all that’s going on in the world, tonight seeing @KatTimpf back was so needed,” one fan wrote.

“I’m so grateful for your return. I’m thrilled to hear that you’re cnc3r-free! That’s wonderful news,” someone else said, while another shared: “Welcome back, Kat! We missed you.”

Meghan Markle ‘wants to be next Victoria Beckham’ but faces major industry backlash

After venturing into TV and podcasting, it’s said that Meghan Markle has her sights set on becoming a “billionaire” fashion designer.

Following the successful launch of her As Ever lifestyle brand, her Netflix series and business podcast, Meghan Markle is reportedly looking to venture into the world of fashion. However, insiders are uncertain that the Duchess of Sussex will be able to compete against big labels and exclusive brands.

Meghan’s reported plans for a reigning business empire comes after items from the initial As Ever launch promptly sold out in April. Lines of cookies, teas, jams and more were out of stock in less than 45 minutes, and while fans have since been waiting for the products to become available again, Meghan revealed a restock will finally take place today (June 20).

With speculation of a potential clothing company, an insider said: “Meghan knows she’s diving into one of the most ruthless industries in the world, but she’s not going to let fear stop her.”

Speaking to Radar Online, the source continued: “If anything, she’s excited by the idea of shaking things up and taking on the mean girls and gatekeepers.

“She’s even joked that she wants to become the next Anna Wintour or Victoria Beckham.”

However, the insider suggests that this is a desperate cashflow scheme after Meghan and Prince Harry’s strained relationship with the royal Family could see the Duke cut out of King Charles’ will.

They added: “Meghan is deluding herself if she thinks she can waltz into the fashion world and become this overnight sensation.

“The people at the top of that food chain won’t take kindly to some upstart coming in and trying to reinvent the wheel, let alone someone as hated and arrogant as Meghan.”

The insider also noted that Meghan is made of tough stuff and apparently “doesn’t care” who rolls their eyes or says she can’t do it, remarking: “She’s never let that stop her before, so why start now?”

Meghan recently spoke out about taking on the viral Baby Mama challenge, which she filmed and danced to while in labour with their daughter, Princess Lilibet.

After sharing the clip on Instagram, in celebration of the youngster’s fourth birthday, the Duchess was met with a wave of backlash and criticism.

Speaking to Dragon’s Den star Emma Grede, Meghan said that she can finally “share her authentic life” on “her own terms”.

She added: “It’s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life, a real, authentic, fun life that’s happening behind the scenes.

“I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.”
