TV icon Noel Edmonds struggled to fight back tears as he reflected one the past six years of living in New Zealand with his wife, Liz Davies. Following his stint on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! Noel stepped away from his decades-long career as a TV presenter to live a new life on the other side of the world, and he finally gave fans a glimpse with a new ITV documentary series, Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure.

While viewers witnessed the couple transforming their 800-acre estate with plans to build their new hospitality business, River Haven, the 76-year-old became emotional about the journey. In a candid moment with his wife, he asked Liz: “Do you feel like this is home?” Liz admitted: “I kind of almost felt it was home as soon as we came here on holiday, actually.” The presenter then became emotional as he added: It was meant to be, undoubtedly it was meant to be.”

During the heartfelt scene, the couple stepped away from their sprawling estate and took a short helicopter ride to the mountains, where they shared an open and honest conversation.

Noel continued: “And its a very hard person, a very cold person who doesn’t feel emotional and grateful. And it does make me feel quite …” Unable to finish his sentence, the TV star breathed a huge and audible sigh as he struggled to choke back tears.

After a brief pause, he addressed his wife and added: “We did all right dear, we did good,” marking an emotional end to his first episode back to on ITV.

Throughout the episode, the former Deal or No Deal star basked in his slow and tranquil life away from the busy hustle environment of showbiz and TV, as he stated: “I feel very at peace here, excited by it.”

Noel also confessed: “It was not easy moving across the planet, it really wasn’t. But we were bold to do it, the purpose of life is to give life purpose.”

The presenter then shared his hopes for the documentary series and revealed that he wishes it would shift people’s unsavoury perception of him.

“Maybe people who have had negative thoughts about me personally will see this and see an honesty, a sincerity, a commitment, a positivity, and maybe a few of them will change their views even.”

Throughout the upcoming episode, Noel, Liz and their team will continue to work on River Haven, a £15m estate which boasts a winery, a shop, a restaurant, a pub, and a café.

King Charles to star in new Netflix documentary after Prince Harry’s explosive tell-all

King Charles III and Luther star Idris Elba are set to star in a brand new documentary that will be available exclusively on Netflix.

King Charles III and Idris Elba are set to star in a yet-to-be-titled Netflix documentary film exploring the impact of the King’s Trust as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Luther star, Idris Elba, was famously given an arts grant from the Prince’s Trust, as it was known before the monarch’s Coronation in 2023, which helped the actor continue to study.

The documentary, which begins filming next week, will launch on Netflix in Autumn 2026 and is produced by 22 Summers, a production company founded by Idris Elba and Diene Petterle. Award-winning director, Ashley Francis-Roy, will head up the film.

Alongside Petterle, the other executive producers are Jonathan Smith and Eva Omaghomi. The showrunner is Clare Bradbury. It will also feature many people who have benefited from the Trust over the years.

In a statement shared by Netflix, Elba said: “The King’s Trust gave me an opportunity that changed my life. At a time when I didn’t have the resources to pursue my ambitions, they offered real, practical support — including financial help — that helped me take those first steps to advance my career.”

He continued: “Today, through the Elba Hope Foundation, I’m focused on creating those same opportunities for young people who are full of potential but lacking access. Around the world, millions are still waiting for that one door to open. This documentary is about shining a light on what’s possible when it does — and why the work of The King’s Trust remains so important.”

A Palace aid also commented: “The King is pleased for The Trust to have this wonderful opportunity to showcase their work to a global audience, sharing the compelling stories of some of the more than 1 million young people it has helped in Britain and internationally over the past 50 years.”

The news comes just months after the King’s youngest son, Prince Harry, did an explosive interview with BBC detailing the pair’s disintigrating relationship and his hopes for a reconcilliation. Harry made several bombshell comments during BBC chat after his appeal against a decision to downgrade his UK security failed.

The Duke of Sussex’s high-level police protection was removed by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to the US.

The 40-year-old challenged the move in a long-running battle through the courts, but when it was rejected by the Court of Appeal he immediately gave an interview to the BBC blasting the decision. He urged Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to intervene and said his father, King Charles, would not speak to him over the furore. However, the Duke also said he wanted reconciliation with his family.

Although Harry and Meghan released their tell-all docu-series on Netflix back in 2022, this new film marks the very first time an active member of the Royal Family will officially feature on the streaming giant.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a lucrative £80million deal with Netflix shortly after they quit their royal duties back in 2020.

Since then, they have released five projects: Harry & Meghan, Live to Lead, Heart of Invictus, Polo, and most recently, With Love, Meghan. However, apart from their bombshell docuseries and Meghan’s lifestyle show, their projects have not been particularly successful with the streaming giant, failing to climb to the Top 10.

Now, as their deal is about to end later in 2025, insiders suggested that the streaming giant will have to make a tough decision about the future with the Montecito couple.

The series Harry & Meghan only had one season, while Meghan’s lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, has been renewed for a second season, despite being savaged by critics, and is expected to drop this autumn.

Neither the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nor Netflix have commented on whether the deal will get renewed, however, earlier this year, Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said she is “excited” for what’s to come from the Montecito couple.

Speaking to the Mail before the duchess’s show’s launch, Ms Bajaria revealed the company will stand by Harry and Meghan and added that the duchess’s new show will be a major hit.

She said: “We have Meghan’s new show coming out, which is great.

“It is such a great take on a lifestyle show and showcase for California, Montecito and nature. It really has great takeaways.

“I was like ‘oh my God, I want to really do that pasta.’ There’s really easy great takeaways on life. I am really excited about that coming out.”

Lorraine Kelly has been slammed by fans after announcing the sad news of Kim Woodburn’s d3ath today. The How Clean Is Your House? star passed away on Monday, aged 83, her family announced, leaving Kim’s legion of loyal fans heartbroken.

Lorraine, 65, halted her ITV show today to announce the news, telling viewers: “Some news just breaking in the last few minutes, Kim Woodburn has di3d at the age of 83. Famous, of course, for The How Clean is Your House? and her controversial time on Celebrity Big Brother.” The Scot then read out Kim’s family’s statement, which explained the star had di3d following a short illness, before telling viewers: “Right! It’s ten past nine…”

Some fans were not impressed by Lorraine’s delivery of Kim’s passing, with several taking to X to air their grievances. One said: “I’m actually shocked at the lack of empathy Lorraine showed announcing the d3ath of Kim Woodburn. Appalling. Hope #ITV see these comments.”

Another agreed, saying: “Yeah, I thought the same. Couldn’t wait to go onto the next segment of the show”. A third shared: “A very mealy mouth announcement from #lorraine about the passing of #kimwoodburn” while a fourth accused the presenter of being “very business like”.

The Mirror has contacted ITV for comment.

A message was posted on her Instagram three months ago saying Kim was unable to record any more messages due to ill health before a statement from her spokesman read today: “It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness.

“Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. Her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate.

“We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. We kindly ask that Kim’s husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve.

“We will not be releasing any further details.”

Paying tribute to Kim, who starred in a string of shows, including Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, one of her fans posted: “I can’t believe kim woodburn has di3d, an absolute icon of reality TV who I quote daily (and will continue to do so) RIP to a legend.”

Another said: “BEYOND devastated to hear the news today that TV legend and icon Kim Woodburn has sadly passed away. There will never be anyone like Kim. RIP.”

Fans of EastEnders have been left stunned as a huge character exited the BBC soap. The dramatic scenes had viewers of the long-running soap gobsmacked as Michelle Ryan quit Walford once again just days after her explosive return.

Michelle’s character Zoe Slater walked away from any potential plan of making a move back to Walford in latest scenes. It come barely any time after fans were left buzzing about her return.

Zoe’s return was confirmed as she made contact with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). The drama unfolded after Zoe was seen living in squalor. She appeared to have been surviving off just v0dka and vapes and she quickly apologised to Stacey and Alfie.

Despite giving no clue about why she was apologising to the pair, she was given a lifeline as she hid out at a flat rented by Stacey. However, she was left shocked by the arrival of Kat, Jean and Harvey at the property.

Zoe had made it clear she didn’t want to see mum Kat, or even let her know she was in London. They group tried to throw Kat off the scent by hiding Zoe in the bedroom.

However, while Kat left unconvinced, she soon returned to demand the truth. With Zoe still in hiding, she made a noise after tripping, which set Kat’s mind into overdrive. After deciding to barge in the room, Stacey and Alfie frantically worried that Zoe was going to be discovered.

But there was further shock when the room was empty and the window fully open. It led to Alfie and Stacey hurrying to try to find out where Zoe had gone.

But time was up and Zoe revealed she would not be making a permanent return to Walford. Speaking to the pair over the phone, Zoe said: “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to cause you no trouble.”

Despite Stacey’s best attempts to reassure her, Zoe’s mind was made up as she told them she couldn’t come back. She sadly said: “I’ve got to go.”

And she went on to confess: “Don’t look for me. It was a mistake. It was a mistake to get back in touch.

“I ain’t saying it was easy, hearing her [Kat], seeing her face, but I done something bad, something so bad. You would never forgive me.” Ending the phone call, a tearful Zoe left the apartment building and fl3d once again.

Just days earlier fans had admitted they couldn’t believe it as Zoe was seen on the screen for the first time in 17 years. . After weeks of speculation, it was finally confirmed that Michelle Ryan had reprised her role as Kat Slater’s daughter for the first time since leaving Albert Square in 2005.

But it’s now left up in the air as to whether Zoe will eventually return or if it was a fleeting cameo.

Kate Garraway suffered a financial setback this week after being locked out of her bank accounts. The Good Morning Britain presenter and radio host revealed she couldn’t access her current account and savings account.

The presenter has been open about her financial woes, having previously admitted she had fallen into debt after spending £16,000 a month on care for her husband Derek. He di3d in 2024 at the age of 56 after a lengthy battle with the long-term effects of CVD.

She admitted previously: “I’m doing something similar myself. I’ve just had to withdraw the bit you can tax-free for my pension to pay belated bills for my husband that passed away.

“I am ashamed of the fact that I am in debt because I have an incredible job that I love, that’s very well paid. I’m not a carer travelling miles, paying their own transport to go and help somebody for minimum wage. I’m somebody that is very well paid and so I just feel a shame that I couldn’t make it work.”

She had also been open in her documentary about how they were at a “crunch point” financially. She said: “Derek’s care costs more than my salary from ITV and that is before you pay for a mortgage, before you pay any household bills, before you pay for anything for the kids, so we are at a crunch point. I am in debt.

“I can’t earn enough money to cover my debt because I am managing Derek’s care and I can’t even use the money I do have to support Derek’s recovery because it’s going on the basics all the time.”

Now she has suffered another financial setback as she was locked out of her accounts. Taking to Twitter, she begged her bank for help, where she wrote: “@Barclays please please get in touch with me – I have not been able to access any of my Barclays accounts current or savings since Friday due to changing my phone handset and can’t get through to anyone on customer service.”#

It comes a month after Kate suffered another setback. New paperwork from HMRC showed loan debts of almost £140,000 remain from her late husband’s company as well as a £288,000 tax bill. The company has no more assets and HMRC say attempts to recoup the money are ongoing, although it is thought that Kate does not have the money to pay back currently.

A spokesman for Kate said: “‘Kate has met all that the liquidators of Derek’s company have asked for and more over the past 4 years. She doesn’t recognise these figures and is shocked that’s it’s being presented in this way by them.

“Caring for Derek and supporting her family when Derek could no longer run his own businesses has taken a huge financial toll on her but she’s determined to put things right. She is in constant contact with HMRC to make sure she honours what’s required from Derek’s now defunct company.”

One Coronation Street star has promised “big” scenes ahead on the ITV soap in the coming months.

Summer Spellman actress Harriet Bibby spoke exclusively to The Mirror about the upcoming storylines for her character. She also teased the 65th anniversary plans for later this year, and the big Emmerdale crossover airing in 2026.

After months of not being onscreen much, Harriet explained to us that she was having a quieter year following the huge and emotional 2024 storyline, that saw Summer’s father figure Paul Foreman d13 after battling motor neurone disease. Summer featured heavily in this storyline, with lots of difficult scenes for actress Harriet.

Often in soaps when a character features in a massive storyline, they tend to then go quiet which is what has happened with Summer. But that’s all about to change as next week, she takes centre stage once more.

This time, Summer and other characters are caught up in a DGs storyline, as three characters take *** at a house party. What follows is a dramatic and devastating sequence of events.

Teasing more from Summer ahead, Harriet told us: “I’ve had a quieter year this year after the big storyline with Paul last year. It was brilliant, we loved doing it even though every day we were in tears.

“We will be seeing more of Summer in the coming months.” Harriet also teased the big stuff on the way, saying: “I’m really excited about the crossover. It’s never been done before. It will be fun and a little different.

“I am hoping to be a part of it but we have no idea. I’d love to meet the Dingles.” When asked about the 65th, she said: “I’m the worst person to ask, everything you’re asking me I’m asking the bosses! It will be something big though.”

As for the huge DGs storyline that is coming up, Harriet teased what the fallout will be with it clear something has happened, and that Summer and pal Nina Lucas have been witnesses to something while high. Revealing “the night takes a turn”, she teased: “Even with no DGs in their system they’d be feeling really shocked, upset and concerned about what’s just happened.

“So times that by 10 with the *** they’ve got in their system and they’re distraught. They’re really worried and really scared about what’s just happened.” Harriet went on: “They figure out that they’ve witnessed something.

“They have different opinions on what to do with this and it causes a little bit of friction between them. Nina thinks they should tell someone and report it whereas Summer is more convinced that they don’t know what they’ve seen because they were affected by the *** so there’s no point in reporting anything as they don’t know for sure that something happened.

“They’re very confused by what they think they saw because they’re unsure about what was reality and what was not.” On the future impact of the huge plot, she shared: “I think when you find yourselves in quite dangerous situations, and it’s not just Summer and Nina who are affected, you look back and think that was a really stupid idea. It affects a lot of different people in different ways and it could have been avoided if these DGs were not at the party.”

When the news was revealed in late 2024, it was thought that Sue’s exit could play out in early 2026 after it was said that she would still be in the programme beyond 2025.

However, in a new interview, Sue has confirmed that her stint is MUCH longer than anyone anticipated.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her ITV breakfast show, the Debbie Webster actress clarified that she would be with the show until 2027 before her character succumbs to the tragic condition.

Sue said to the Scottish TV host: “Well, I know this story is going to go on well into 2027.

“Debbie is not going anywhere!”

On-screen, Debbie found out she was living with early on-set vascular dementia earlier this year.

 

 

At present, only her brother Carl is aware of the devastating diagnosis.

It has so far been seen to cause Debbie to act erratically, and suffer severe mood-swings as well as forgetfulness and clumsiness.

Debbie’s condition is expected to worsen over the next 24 months before her eventual exit from the ITV soap – much to the dismay of fans.

Petitions began to circulate when her axing was revealed in order to reverse the decision by bosses with many insisting that Debbie was Coronation Street’s strongest character amid an ongoing period of criticism for the fledgling soap.

The Sun previously told how Sue was left devastated over being axed from the show.

News of her exit left the actress blindsided, with a source telling The Sun:  “Sue was very shocked when she discovered she was being killed off.

“She was initially very sad and then furious and then upset again.

“It’s taken her a long time to come to terms with it.

“She had no intention to leave the show and couldn’t believe it when they called her in and broke the news.”

She is one of many names to leave the programme alongside Colson Smith, Luca Toolan, Shelley King, Charlotte Jordan, Sue Cleaver, Daniel Brocklebank, Helen Worth, Paddy Bever and Katy Cavanagh.

Bosses made a big deal of his casting with Jack saying at the time: “I’m delighted and honoured to be playing a part in the history of the cultural institution that is Coronation Street.

“I hope Bobby brings viewers a lot of laughs in the vein of some of the street’s classic comedy characters.”

But The Sun can reveal that Jack filmed his final scenes back in March, with his low-key exit airing on screen last month after his storyline came to a natural end.

In scenes that played out on May 12, Bobby decided to fly out to Spain for a last minute holiday after close friend Lauren Bolton accused him of being her blackmailer.

He told his aunt Carla, actress Alison King, that he would be joining Simon Barlow on his travels.

Simon Barlow actor Alex Bain was also axed by bosses and left the soap last year.

A Corrie source said: “Jack loved his time on the cobbles but it came to a natural end for now.

“He did 18 months on the street and loved every minute of it.

“His exit was very low-key and even the viewers didn’t realise his last minute holiday to Spain would be a permanent move.

Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.

The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.

Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.

Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.

It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.

Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.

Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.

His stand up comedy routine was a hit with the judges and viewers alike and he went on to appear on Saturday Night at the London Palladium, Jason Manford’s Funny Old Week and Live At the Apollo as well as completing his first national live tour.

Since filming his Corrie exit Jack has been busy with a new podcast, Love int North, which celebrates the most northern love stories.

Christina was last seen on the cobbles in May when her daughter Daisy got the better of her and took Jenny Connor’s money for herself.

While Daisy is now living the life of riley abroad on the cash, Christina was left penniless after trying to double-cross her daughter.

Wynne shared today’s front page of the newspaper detailing the programme’s toxicity row, amid claims Naga was reprimanded by bosses over two incidents in three years — including allegations she bullied a junior staffer.

Posting The Sun front page in a now-deleted post, Wynne said: “I really wish Naga well and I hope she doesn’t get hounded.

“But come on @bbc @bbccymruwales what double standards.

“Tim Davie [Director-general of the BBC] promised to protect people on Strictly from being hounded by the press, but he won’t even meet with me.”

Wynne recently sat down with The Sun’s Clemmie Moodie to reveal his side of the story after losing his job following three allegations levelled against him.

The first, dubbed “gr0p3gate”, came when he moved his hand over pro partner Katya Jones’ waist in the Clauditorium.

The other was when The Sun on Sunday revealed he had sent a s3x toy to Jamie, which the EastEnders star was caught on camera laughing about.

The third was from a video of him saying “sp1t-r0ast” at a Strictly photocall which, it was claimed, was in relation to married pro Janette Manrara.

He accused the BBC of abandoning him in the wake of a series of controversies that erupted during and after his time on Strictly Come Dancing.

The corporation said he was offered a dedicated contact at the BBC and was offered “continued” mental health support since his contract concluded.

A raft of ex-contestants then came forward with their own horror stories. Another dancer, Graziano Di Prima was then fired after a video emerged of him kicking his partner Zara McDermott.

Naga is the first female presenter to be caught up in the series of scandals which have gripped the Beeb.

She was reprimanded by a senior producer over the s3x jibe, but no formal action was taken.

As the BBC is now facing questions of double standards, an insider said: “If a male presenter made a s3xual comment like that or falsely accused someone of theft, he’d be out the door. But with Naga, it gets brushed off.”

A BBC spokesperson said: “While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.”
