“The Doctors had to prioritise saving my wife’s life” – Grenfell Tower FIR3 tragedy through survivor Marcio Gomes’ story leaves This Morning viewers speechless!

A Grenfell survivor broke down in tears on This Morning as he recounted the ag0nising m0ment medics were forced to choose between saving the life of his wife or unb0rn child.

Marcio Gomes featured on Wednesday’s instalment of the ITV show and sat down with journalist Peter Apps and presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard in an emotional interview.

The grieving father lived on the 21st floor of Grenfell Tower with his wife, who was seven months pregnant, and two daughters.

A f1r3 broke out in the tower block on June 14, 2017 and spread throughout the building, leading to the loss of 72 lives.

Following the eight year anniversary of the tragic night, Marcio recalled what happened to his family and how his unb0rn son, Logan, sadly passed away as a result of the f1r3.

‘I was woken at 1.15am in the morning with the neighbour banging on the door which I’m forever grateful because if it wasn’t for that, we would’ve been sleeping,’ Marcio recalled.

Cat explained how ‘the f1r3 brigade were told the ‘stay put’ rule, which is essentially you stay there for 2 hours’.

Marcio’s family began preparing wet towels but eventually realised they needed to leave the flat and go against the f1r3 brigade’s advice.

‘Probably about an hour into it I would say when I really understood how bad it was, we’d had f1r3s in the tower before, not generally a problem,’ he said.

‘Of course that night it was very different,’ he added.

An hour into it when I tried to go into my neighbours house and I opened the door it was pitch black, the lights were on but it was pitch black.

He described the ‘really thick’ smoke and added: ‘It was awful, it was something I’ve never experienced before… as soon as you breathed that in you was just gagging, it was a horrific smell, it was something I can never really describe that well.

‘That’s when I knew it was really bad.’

After multiple calls to the f1r3 brigade, the family and neighbour decided they would have to try and make their own way down.

They attempted to leave the flat twice but Marcio described the moment that made them realise they had to go.

‘As I looked into the bedroom, f1r3 came through the window and set basically the room alight. At that point I said we’ve got to go, it’s now or never, we couldn’t stay in the flat,’ he said.

Cat looked emotional and she said: ‘There was so much confusion at the time, you couldn’t see anything, you were supposed to be behind the girls and you were taking them down and then you kind of lost them within the smoke.

‘When you finally get to the bottom of the tower, you see each other again, you get taken into an ambulance but your wife, who is seven months pregnant and asthmatic, they have to make a terrible decision.’

Marcio broke down into tears as he replied: ‘At the hospital, they came to me and said they and to make that decision because my wife was obviously alive, they had to go with her, which I said, yes, that’s the choice.’

Cat leant forward to comfort Marcio and kindly pat his knee as she looked tearful too.

The blaze, which was the worst in Britain for more than a generation, was accelerated by d3adly combustible cladding and many of those who di3d had been told to stay in their flats.

It resulted in the d3aths of 72 men, women and children, including multiple generations of the same families, living in the 120-apartment tower, built in Kensington – one of London’s richest areas.

The f1r3 triggered mass protests about building standards, following months of concerns from Grenfell Tower residents about safety following its refurbishment.

The final report of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, published in September, concluded the disaster was the result of ‘decades of failure’ by government and the construction industry to act on the dangers of flammable materials on high-rise buildings.

Ben read out a statement from The London Fire Brigade commission which said: ‘On the night of the f1r3, the brigade faced the most formidable challenge that any f1r3 service in the UK has confronted in living memory.

‘In 2019 the brigade accepted every recommendation from the Grenfell Tower enquiry phase one report and have since implemented significant changes to how we operate.’

Ben then went on to read a statement from Arconic which said: ‘Our thoughts remain with all those affected and their families and friends.

‘Arconic architectural products along with others has made financial contributions to settlements for those impacted, we support all efforts to strengthen the regulatory oversight in the construction industry.’

Earlier this year, Angela Rayner revealed the apartment tower would be dismantled after concerns over damage, but this has been hit with backlash.

Ben also read a statement from the Government’s Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government and said: ‘We will deliver the change needed so this can never happen again by taking decisive actions to speed up the mediation through the remediation acceleration plan and deliver the recommendations of the Grenfell Tower enquiry.’

Nearly 2,000 complaints filed to Ofcom over just ONE REMARK – Guest Karen Millen on Vanessa Feltz’s Channel 5 talkshow still NOT FORGIVEN despite APOLOGY!

Vanessa Feltz‘s show has been slapped with an eye=watering amount of Ofcom complaints after a guest branded breastfeeding a three-year-old child as ‘weird and selfish’ during an ‘uneducated’ rant.

The TV star launched her new self-titled daily show earlier this year on Channel 5 following her departure from This Morning after 33 years.

However, an episode that aired on June 10 sparked a wave of complaints from viewers.

Vanessa interviewed Karen Millen, a fashion designer, during the instalment and discussed breastfeeding.

According to the Mirror, Vanessa asked what Karen thought about breastfeeding a three-year-old child.

Karen replied: ‘There’s no benefit, is there, for a child to be breastfed beyond six months really. I think it’s quite a selfish thing on the mother’s part.’

She then went on the elaborate on her views and added: ‘I just think that’s not good emotionally for that child. I mean, what does that child do later in life?

‘The attachment – like you say it becomes an addiction and an addiction for that child too because they only know the boob. It’s just not normal, is it? I’m sorry, I find it very weird.’

The instalment attracted 1,856 complaints to Ofcom and some watchers took to social media to share their views.

One posted on X: ‘Karen Millen is an uneducated t**t with an unwanted opinion. It’s scientific fact how beneficial breastfeeding is for babies beyond even the age of one.

‘It’s a mother’s prerogative on how she decides to feed her baby and for how long.’

Karen apologised for her comments through a statement given to Vanessa and said: ‘I know I’ve upset a lot of your viewers and that was not my intention.

‘The question was aimed at a three-year-old being breastfed and my thoughts on that and my answers reflected that, not the subject of breastfeeding.

‘I have three children and I breastfed all three of them up to six or seven months… I think my issue was more on the fact as a baby breast milk is the best and beyond being a baby, growing into toddler, I just found it more difficult to comes to term with how it would benefit a three year old..

‘And as a woman to women, I do respect your choices and I do want to support you…’

Ofcom also received for June 13’s episode after some viewers felt the apology was ‘weak’.

MailOnline has approached Channel 5 and Karen Millen for comment.

Harriet recently broke her silence on a ‘fake’ Clarkson’s Farm scene as she spoke candidly on a new podcast.

She has been helping out Jeremy with an array of tasks on the farm and impressing viewers while also challenging stereotypes around women in farming.

And last week Harriet appeared on the Should I Delete That podcast with Jeremy’s daughter Emily.

She spoke about one scene in the trailer that she thought seemed ‘fake’ when she watched it back but was in fact completely true.

They discussed on the podcast how busy farmers are and how Harriet also works a full time nursing job five days a week.

Emily asked her: ‘Do you ever sit down with your boyfriend and chill together, or eat together? It sounds impossible.’

Harriet then said: ‘No! In the trailer where it’s like, ‘Have you watched Clarkson’s Farm before?’ And I’m like, ‘No’, and when I watched it it looked so fake. But it is so real because we don’t watch telly.

‘Literally, if we watch something, James will sit down, his head will hit the back of the sofa and he’s asleep because the second he can rest, he’ll sleep, because he’s so tired all the time.’

On the podcast Harriet also spoke about breaking stereotypes of women working in farming.

She said of appearing on the show: ‘I wanted to show that women can do it too, we are there but people can’t see it. Women can do it.

‘Most people think of just older men wearing checked shirts when it comes to farming.

‘I am challenging people’s views of what people think a farmer looks like. People are so shocked when they drive past and I’m in the tractor they just stare.’

The recent Clarkson’s Farm trailer showed Jeremy running into several obstacles on the farm, yet TikTok star Harriet made a good impression as she was quick to help.

Jeremy was left in awe at her work, turning to the camera and gushing: ‘She’s brilliant!’

She wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty as she put in fences, loaded feed for the animals and even showed her welding skills on Diddly Squat Farm.

Kaleb – who was on a nationwide tour – later returned to the farm and seemed to be getting along well with his replacement.

It’s hardly surprising that Harriet was a natural on the farm, having grown up helping her father Eddy tend to his land.

She revealed on social media that her mother wanted her to become a nurse but her father wanted her to follow in his footsteps – so she opted to do both.

Later on in the episode there was another awkward moment, Naga was also keen to know business reporter Peter Ruddick’s stance on if he would wear shorts in the office as he spoke during a tourism segment.

‘Where do you stand on shorts in the office?,’ she asked.

Peter replied: ‘I’m very against shorts in the office. Yeah especially this office, the air con is really high. You really don’t need them. ‘

Naga asked: ‘What about when you step out?’

He replied: ‘There’s a level of professionalism…’ and Naga turned back to her co-star Charlie as he giggled away.

‘I think the knee is a question. I haven’t looked at Matt’s knees this morning.’

Naga, who is already at the centre of BBC Breakfast’s toxicity row, was also reportedly spoken to by bosses over a sex jibe she made while off-air at BBC Radio 5 Live.

Naga’s representatives have been approached for comment and it is unclear whether she will rebut the claims in The Sun.

This comes as BBC Breakfast finds itself at the centre of a b”lly1ng and misconduct probe, with editor Richard Frediani taking an extended period of leave after an internal review of the allegations was opened into the show.

According to The Sun, Naga used a slang term for a sex act during an off-air break.

The alleged remark in 2022 was said to have stunned the studio and led to Naga being spoken to by bosses.

It was then reported that on BBC Breakfast last year, Naga was spoken to over alleged b”lly1ng of a woman.

The BBC are now reportedly facing questions over whether there are ‘double standards’.

When contacted by MailOnline, a BBC spokesperson said: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.’

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Naga Munchetty for comment.

It comes as it was also reported that BBC Breakfast’s editor Richard Frediani has  taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of b”lly1ng and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.

It was previously claimed that the show’s staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, with the former Head of ITV News accused of ‘shk1ng’ a f3male editor while working on the show.

The Sun claimed that Richard has stepped back from the show, and while he had already taken time off to go on holiday, has mutually agreed to extend his break.

Sources are also claiming that BBC bosses have held a series of meetings on how to handle the developing crisis.

In an internal email obtained by the publication, John McAndrew, Director of Live and Daily News, thanked staff for their ‘positivity’ during this ‘stressful time’ – and informed them of Richard’s decision.

A source added: ‘Fredi was already taking a break because obviously the allegations against him have been pretty damning, and he needed time to reflect.

‘He’s devastated by some of the claims and has also had a lot of behind the scenes support from colleagues, many of whom think he’s a brilliant boss.

‘BBC executives have ensured duty of care measures and he is still in touch with a few of the team. Right now, it’s imperative that the BBC gets its house in order and ensures everyone is happy.’

When contacted by MailOnline, a BBC representative said: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously and will not tolerate behaviour that is not in line with our values.

‘We have robust processes in place and would encourage any staff with concerns to raise them directly with us so they can be addressed.’

On Thursday, Deadline reported that a consultant had been drafted in to help steer an internal review of b”lly1ng and misconduct allegations on BBC Breakfast.

Staff have been approached about sharing their experiences, according to people familiar with the process.

It was claimed that staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, with tensions between hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga also reportedly at a high

It had previously been reported earlier this week that a b”lly1ng probe had been opened into BBC’s flagship Breakfast show, with the investigation set to look into claims dating back as far as 2019.

A source told The Sun: ‘To the viewer BBC Breakfast is a warm, gentle programme, one that is flourishing in the ratings. But beyond the cosy red sofa it is a very different picture. Several people — crew, production and even presenters — have been very unhappy’.

‘Tension between Charlie and Naga is rife. Fredi is very old-school and has some slightly tyrannical tendencies. He is very cerebral but also quite aggressive in his methods. Some people think a recent promotion has gone to his head’.

‘Meanwhile, Naga, who is passionate about speaking up if she believes something is wrong, has spoken to people who are unhappy. Formal complaints have been lodged, so the BBC has to be seen to act. The probe has really divided the newsroom’.

They went on to claim that some believe Fredani, known as Fredi, is simply doing his job others think his methods are ‘too tough’ for 2025.

It comes following a difficult few years for the BBC, with Huw Edwards pleading guilty to having ind3cent im@ges of ch1ldr3n, Jermaine Jenas axed after a s3xting sc@ndal and Gary Lineker’s departure from the channel after becoming embroiled in a controversial row over ant1s3mitism.

An insider told MailOnline in April that Munchetty is ‘quite open’ about her ill-feeling towards Frediani. Another said that she has an ‘uneasy relationship’ with him.

The Mail revealed that displeasure was intensifying at the BBC’s northern base in Salford, where staff have watched Frediani’s rise – from Breakfast boss to arguably the most powerful BBC editor outside London – with growing disbelief.

One said: ‘You have to wonder what on earth is going on. The BBC claims to be this no-nonsense, woke, kind place – yet Fredi has been able to keep climbing the ladder. HR and his bosses are aware of [past] b”lly1ng claims against him.

It's now being reported that Richard has stepped back from the show, and while he had already taken time off to go on holiday, has mutually agreed to extend his break

‘He’s still allowed to hire, as we saw with Nina [Warhurst, who has just been appointed a regular presenter] this week, and presumably fire. He has so much power, it doesn’t feel right at all.’

The ordeal began, when media and entertainment industry news site Deadline alleged that Frediani was the subject of at least two misconduct complaints, including one from a woman who had her grievance upheld after claiming that the Breakfast editor physically shook her during a heated newsroom exchange last year.

Others also came forward with their experiences. One person claimed to have witnessed an incident in 2019, during which a ‘clearly angry’ Richard backed a Breakfast colleague up against a wall and was ‘jabbing his finger’ as he voiced displeasure about that morning’s show.

The website reports that two sources alleged that Frediani is also known for ‘screaming’ down the phone at other BBC News desks and complaining about the quality of content they hand over to the Breakfast show.

Whether these allegations were upheld or dismissed is not known.

There was widespread internal dissatisfaction with Frediani in 2020, less than a year into his reign as editor of BBC Breakfast, after he was poached from ITV News.

During the pandemic, MailOnline’s Katie Hind was inundated with anonymous emails from staff at BBC Breakfast which said a series of complaints have been made to the corporation’s management and its HR department about an ‘intimidating and b”lly1ng’ culture, which had led to long-term members of staff leaving their jobs.

One employee, who wished to remain anonymous, said ‘the whole atmosphere has become poisonous’ and like a ‘boys’ club’. Again, it is unclear whether these allegations were upheld or dismissed.

After the story was published in The Mail on Sunday, a number of people who had worked with Frediani got in.

They said he was unpleasant to them during his tenure at ITV where he served as head of news. They were devastated – but not surprised – to hear that there were allegations that he had gone on to behave ‘aggressively’ in his new role.

One wrote: ‘I read your piece about Richard Frediani, recognising a lot of his character. I and others who suffered under him at ITV expected this would happen.’

So why, despite these claims about his behaviour at work, did Frediani continue to rise through the ranks?

The answer appears to lie with the Beeb’s current chief executive of news, Deborah Turness. As CEO of ITN until 2022, she was Frediani’s boss and they latterly joined up again when she joined the corporation.

Sources at the BBC say she was ‘involved’ in his rise to become the boss of News at One – though senior sources at the Corporation strongly deny it, insisting it was not a promotion but an addition to his existing job. The BBC would not answer questions over whether he’d had a pay rise.

BBC Breakfast staff have said that they are far from happy that Turness is still backing Frediani.

‘There is no way she hasn’t heard what we have all heard,’ says one insider. ‘It was written about as far back as 2020 so surely she must have seen that.’

The Mail had previously revealed that displeasure was intensifying at the BBC's northern base in Salford, where staff have watched Frediani's rise with growing disbelief

The Mail had previously revealed that displeasure was intensifying at the BBC’s northern base in Salford, where staff have watched Frediani’s rise with growing disbelief

Tim Davie, the director-general, has said he wants the management consultancy leading the review to make practical recommendations about how managers can create a culture where there is ‘zero tolerance’ for wrongdoing.

The BBC said that it did not comment on individual HR issues. However, it stressed that the welfare of its employees takes priority, and it takes any complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.

After allegations about Frediani’s behaviour were made, staff at Breakfast and News at One were emailed by John McAndrew, BBC News director of programmes, to remind them about the corporation’s approach to complaints of wrongdoing.

‘With regard to culture and behaviour – and this stands for all of our teams across the organisation – please be assured that if, or when, any allegations of any inappropriate behaviour come to me, they will be taken seriously, comprehensively investigated, and if upheld, action will be taken,’ he wrote.

However one BBC source contested this statement, saying: ‘The BBC claim to be such a wonderful employer and look after their staff.

‘But it seems that’s more likely to be the case if you are in the gang.’

BBC Breakfast staff have reportedly compared the studio to ‘the Hunger Games’ after an internal review of b”lly1ng and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.

Host Naga Munchetty is ‘facing b”lly1ng claims’ and under-fire editor Richard Frediani has reportedly taken an extended period of leave.

Now, it has been claimed that the show has been ‘ripped apart’ with some staff members backing Naga and Richard, while others disagree with their approach.

A source told The Sun: [Richard] already created two camps on the show. But the revelations about Naga have thrown a new twist on the scandal.

‘Some find her a passionate advocate of people behind the scenes, while others find her as difficult as Fredi.

‘This explosive mix has led to a deluge of revelations from both sides, creating a huge headache for the BBC as it scrambles to mop up the mess. It’s everyone for themselves like the Hunger Games.’

A BBC spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.’

Naga was reportedly spoken to by bosses over a s3x j1be she made while off-air at BBC Radio 5 Live.

Her representatives have been approached for comment and it is unclear whether she will rebut the claims in The Sun.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Naga Munchetty for comment.

It comes as it was also reported that BBC Breakfast’s editor Richard has  taken an extended period of leave, after an internal review of b”lly1ng and misconduct allegations was opened into the show.

It was previously claimed that the show’s staff are feeling increasingly ‘uneasy’ around Frediani, with the former Head of ITV News accused of ‘sh@king’ a f3male editor while working on the show.

BREAKING NEWS: ITV officially speaks out on Jack Carroll’s Coronation Street EXIT!

Coronation Street star Jack Carroll has reportedly left the show after two years – and fans have already seen his final scenes.

The actor, 26, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, joined the soap in 2023 as Bobby Crawford.

Despite rumours he had already bowed out last year, the actor was still appearing regularly on-screen earlier this year.

But his character’s abrupt disappearance last month raised eyebrows, as he was quietly written out without any on-screen farewell or mention.

It’s now been revealed by The Mirror that Bobby has departed the soap — though his exit isn’t permanent, with the door left ajar for a possible comeback in the future.

A source told the publication: ‘Bobby has had a dramatic couple of years on the cobbles, but the time has come to bid farewell. Actor Jack enjoyed his time on the soap, but it’s time to move on.

Coronation Street star Jack Carroll has left the show after two years – and fans have already seen his final scenes after he joined the soap in 2023 as Bobby Crawford

‘Viewers won’t see the character exit the street as he’s already left, with Jack filming his final scenes some time ago.

‘The door has been left open for Jack should he wish to come back to the show in the future. With his Aunty Carla there, Bobby will always have a place in Weatherfield.’

MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.

ITV replied and confirmed Jack has left the soap but reiterated that the ‘door is left open’ for a possible return.

His character was last seen in the soap in May when he headed off to Spain to visit Simon Barlow.

It comes after Jack revealed how he landed his role on the ITV soap.

He was diagnosed with cer3bral palsy at 16 months old – the result of brain damage that happened either during or shortly after his birth, causing spastic diplegia, a disability affecting both of his legs.

Speaking on This Morning with hosts Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson last year, the star revealed how he claimed the coveted role and how the soap portrays the condition.

Jack Carroll says new Corrie role portrays disability in ‘smart way’

Jack said that Corrie was something he had wanted to do for a long time – and he was helped by having a ‘couple of friends’ on the writing staff.

As the team already knew him well, they were able to create a character that was very personalised to him as they were already familiar with his sense of humour.

He went on to discuss how cer3bral p@lsy has been portrayed on the Cobbles and the ‘smart’ way the producers have explored it.

He said: ‘I think the way they’ve gone about doing it and portraying disabilities they’ve done it in a really smart way.

‘It’s a facet of the character and there’s lots of other stuff going on. It shows him as a human being too which is really important to do.’

Joining Corrie was a very surreal experience for Jack, who described starting as ‘quite daunting’ and said he has ‘big blockbuster’ storylines coming up.

He continued: ‘It’s bizarre! Walking past all these sets. It’s very very bizarre but I hope that never leaves me.

‘It’s a huge privilege and I’m lucky to be able to add it to the CV.’

Cer3bral p@lsy is a life-long condition that occurs when a baby’s brain is starved of oxygen during or shortly after birth.

In most cases, this is due to a difficult labour, but it can occur as a result of an infection of the brain or head injury.

Those with the condition may experience difficulties with movement and co-ordination, as well as loss of speech, hearing and vision and spinal deformities, and may need lifelong care.

Disability charity Scope says an estimated 1,800 children are diagnosed with cer3bral p@lsy in the UK every year.

In 2020-2021, 281 cases of preventable cer3bral p@lsy were reported – the highest number since 2010 and a fifth of the ten-year total.

At the age of 14, Jack came runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2013 to shadow theatre group Attraction.

The standup comedian, who has also made an appearance on Saturday Night at the London Palladium, was a hit among the judges and viewers.

Jack has also made an appearance on Jason Manford’s Funny Old Week and Live At the Apollo as well as completing his first national live tour.

His acting career kicked off shortly after his BGT stint as he has starred in the likes of the Ministry of Curious Stuff on CBBC, Trollied, Doctors and the role of Pete in the feature film Eaten By Lions.

Parenting debate sparks chaos on This Morning – Even hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard left baffled!

This Morning fans fumed ‘this is why k1ds c0mmit cr1mes!’ as a parenting expert shared some very controversial advice.

Yesterday’s episode of the ITV chat show saw presenters Ben Shephard, 50, and Cat Deeley, 48, sit down to discuss parenting approaches as part of the This Morning’s View segment.

One panellist, TV presenter Trisha Goddard, 67, addressed recent controversial comments made by BBC newsreader turned child therapist Kate Silverton, 54.

Kate told the award-winning Netmums parenting podcast earlier this week: ‘It’s just a fallacy to call children naughty.

‘They’re not making conscious choices for the majority of the time. They are driven by a very, very immature brain and a nervous system that very often is being triggered.’

She added labelling children as ‘naughty’ wrongly makes them believe that defines them and can therefore be psychologically damaging to them.

When Ben and Cat asked for Trisha’s reaction to the comments on This Morning yesterday, she backed Kate up.

Trisha explained: ‘I always believe in labelling the behaviour and not the person.

‘Naughty is probably the light end but if you keep telling a child they’re stupid or they don’t know what they’re doing or, “Gosh, you’re always clumsy”, it absolutely does sit in their head and set a trend.

‘If you talk about the behaviour rather than labelling the child, it’s a much better way to go.’

She further explained the distinction by saying, for example, it is more constructive to tell a child, ‘That was a stupid thing to do’, rather than, ‘You are stupid’.

Kate advocates for this approach to the extent she published a book in 2021 called There’s No Such Thing As Naughty.

The parenting guide for those with children under five offers techniques to manage everyday challenges and forge a strong bond with them from the start.

‘At the heart of the book is a simple and revelatory way to understand how your child’s brain develops and how it influences their behaviour’, the synopsis reads.

Trisha explained: 'Naughty is probably the light end but if you keep telling a child they're stupid or they don't know what they're doing or, "Gosh, you're always clumsy", it absolutely does sit in their head and set a trend'

It claims to offer ‘a new understanding that for under-fives, there can be no such thing as “naughty”‘.

But many viewers, hearing Kate’s comments repeated on This Morning yesterday, felt this parenting approach was too soft, taking to X to express their disapproval.

One wrote, The Mirror reports: ‘If you don’t tell a child off then they will think that their behaviour is acceptable.’

Another went even further: ‘”Stop calling k1ds naughty”. This is why k1ds carry knives and c0mmit cr1mes we see today. Soft parenting.

‘The k1ds p@renting the par3nts because the parents start to become scared of their own k1ds because they aren’t dealt with correctly!’

Someone else asked: ‘What would Trisha say about the actions of the kLers of Bhim Kholi?’

They were referring to the 80-year-old man who was kLed after being racially abused and attacked while walking his dog in a park near his Leicestershire home in September last year.

Earlier this month, a 15-year-old boy was jailed for seven years for m@nsl@ught3r while a 13-year-old girl received a youth rehabilitation order and six-month curfew for the same offence.

In the same podcast interview, Kate added: ‘Our children internalise every day.

‘They’re taking in messages from us, from their friends, from their teachers. And words carry such weight of meaning.

‘”Oh, stop being silly”. “Oh, you are so naughty”. “Oh, he’s the naughty one”.

‘We all fall into that trap but our children are paying very close attention to how we think of them.

‘And we might dismiss it as a comment – “Oh, he’s so untidy”. “Oh, she’s always late”. “She’s a bit of a scatterbrain”.

‘They are internalising. And what they’re internalising – because, again, they don’t have that fully formed rational brain – “I’m bad. I’m naughty”.

Caitlin Clark speaks out, takes responsibility and points out Fever’s key mistakes

Caitlin Clark had a forgettable outing on Thrusday night as the Indiana Fever suffered a disappointing 88-77 loss to the Golden State Valkyries.

The Fever star was held to just 11 points on 3-of-14 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds, nine assists, a steal and, for just the second time in her WNBA career, zero three-pointers.

Clark also committed a team-high six turnovers in this one, which is one of the main issues the 23-year-old emphasized during her postgame press conference.

“I think we get these leads, we get up 10, we get up 12, and I thought that’s where we really grew versus [the Connecticut Sun], we really took a step forward and kept our foot on the gas and built out our lead and got it up to 20,” Clark said, via Chloe Peterson of IndyStar.

“I thought we were kind of in the phase of not (giving up those leads) anymore. And then we got our lead to 12 (against the Valkyries), and then we kind of go on a stretch of turning the ball over… We got to be able to grow in that area.”

As Clark said in her statement, it was Indiana’s inability to take care of their lead that led to their downfall against Golden State. According to the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year, this was brought about by the turnovers they committed, particularly during crucial stretches in the game.

The Fever entered the fourth quarter with a 59-55 lead, and it looked like they were primed to take their third straight win. The Valkyries, however, came out firing in the fourth, and ended up outscoring Indiana, 33-18, in the final frame.

The silver lining here is that Clark and the Fever are well aware of the main issue that led to their loss on Thursday, which means that this is an area that they can focus on and improve at in their next games.

Caitlin Clark accused of sly behavior during wild WNBA bust-up - English - www.abdpost.com Amerika'dan Haberler

Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark getting shoved to the ground by Connecticut Sun veteran Marina Mabrey during their June 17 game has reignited a conversation about whether Clark is subject to unnecessarily physical treatment by her peers and opponents in professional basketball.

This conversation has existed since Clark’s rookie 2024 season, where she was constantly getting hit with hard fouls (many of which were ruled as flagrants). And given that it’s still happening one year later, Clark’s fan base is frankly tired of it.

One person who knows Clark better than just about anyone is Lisa Bluder, who was her head coach at the University of Iowa. And during a June 19 interview with TMZ Sports, Bluder sent a strong message about the physicality Clark is forced to deal with.

“I don’t know that [Clark] is being targeted, but I would say she’s getting everybody’s best shot. Just because they think that’s the way they can stop her is by physical dominance over her,” Bluder said. “It’s a part of the WNBA, it’s a part of the rules right now. And if we want that to change, I think we have to change the way the game is called.

“Right now, it’s so physical, I think there needs to be more freedom of movement in our game. Which means, yes, calling more fouls,” Bluder continued when asked about what rule changes the WNBA could institute. “People will adjust. Players will adjust. If we start calling more fouls and emphasize the rules, the players will adjust because they want to be on the floor.”

Bluder later added, “When something egregious happens on the floor, I think that player needs to be tossed, I think they need to be fined. I think their organization needs to be fined.

“I’m not just talking about $1,000, I think it’s got to hurt. I think that’s the only way to change the behavior.”

Warriors Standout Trolls Caitlin Clark Turnover Amid Fever Loss to Valkyries

The Golden State Valkyries improved to 6-6 on the 2025 WNBA season after their 88-77 win over the Indiana Fever on June 19.

San Francisco’s Chase Center felt like a playoff atmosphere on Thursday, as the sold-out crowd asserted itself from opening tip-off. While most Fever road games still feel like there’s a majority of Indiana fans who are there to see star guard Caitlin Clark, this was not the case for the Valkyries, as their home fans delivered for their team.

Speaking of Clark, she struggled during the defeat, finishing with 11 points on 3 of 14 shooting from the field, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. She also went 0 for 7 from three-point range, marking the second game of her WNBA career in which she hasn’t made a three. The first one such game came during the Fever’s May 22 win over the Atlanta Dream.

Clark also had 6 turnovers against Golden State, one of which was a travel in the third quarter while she was preparing to shoot a three. And once the play was called, Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (who was sitting courtside, a few feet away from where the travel was called) jumped out of his seat and emphatically did the travel motion with his hands while briefly following Clark down the court.

X user @warriorsworld posted a video of Podziemski (who typically goes by Podz) doing this with the caption, “Podz comedy”.

It was just that sort of game for Clark and her Fever squad.
