Sh0cking Reveal: Fox News Anchor Carley Shimkus QUIT Modeling to Pursue TV Journalism!

Delivering early morning news can be a challenging gig — that call time is no joke — but as far as Carley Shimkus is concerned, it’s a dream job. “I always knew I wanted to work in TV news,” she once told Fox News’ Dana Perino. “As a matter of fact, it was around-the-clock Fox News at our house growing up.”

Back in 2021, Fox announced the New Jersey native would be the new co-host of “Fox & Friends First” following the departure of Jillian Mele. Prior to taking on the role, Shimkus had already been a familiar face at Fox, having served as a fill-in anchor and reporter at Fox News. “Carley brings great experience to this role developed over nearly a decade at Fox News Media and we are excited to have her join ‘Fox & Friends First,’” Gavin Hadden, Fox News Channel’s then-senior vice president for morning programming (he has since been named the senior vice president of Fox Nation), said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter at the time.

In addition to being a fixture of the network’s morning news program, Shimkus is a doting mom, a published author, and a diehard coffee fan. Here’s what else you need to know about the “Fox & Friends” co-host.

Carley Shimkus posing with her parents
Carley Shimkus grew up with her parents, Edward and Zulma Shimkus, and her sister, Margot Shimkus, in New Jersey. She was raised in Long Valley, a historic and picturesque community. “There’s sort of a negative perception to New Jersey — the (New Jersey) Turnpike and the more crowded areas — but it’s called the Garden State for a reason, and that reason is Long Valley,” Carley once told NJ Starz.

For the Shimkuses, there was no better place to raise a family. After all, in Long Valley, the family lived a home situated on a 100-acre plot of land that is entirely protected. Living in Long Valley, Carley and her sister also grew up surrounded by nature with the area known for its Electric Brook and South Branch River. “When I grew up and I moved to the city, and then I went back to my parents’ house, I was so appreciative of the area I grew up in because it’s just gorgeous,” she explained.

Carley also is grateful to her mom and dad, who have supported her every step of the way. “I’ve had so much help in my life, and the first two people who come to mind are my parents,” she said in NJ Starz. “They’re your heroes when you’re little, they’re the only people you know, and aside from God and him being such a big part of my life, they’re my shoulders to cry on.”

    Carley Shimkus flashing a smile

While a number of media personalities appear taller on TV, Carley Shimkus actually is rather statuesque on and off camera. The “Fox & Friends First” co-host is 5 feet, 10 inches — and that is without shoes. Before diving headfirst into the broadcast news world, she figured she might as well give modeling a shot. In the end, however, she decided not to pursue it. “It was a fun experience but not in the cards for me,” Shimkus once told Fox Insider (via Market Realist).

Before she gave up modeling altogether though, the reporter did book a memorable gig where she got made up goth style to promote a Halloween costume for retail chain Party City. “My family still gets a kick out of this picture and likes to pass it around from time to time,” Shimkus admitted. That said, she’s still glad she took the gig all those years ago, telling NJ Starz, “I think it’s pretty funny, and I will be forever grateful to Party City for hiring me.” And while modeling didn’t work out for Shimkus, the reporter has probably picked up some useful tips to looking good in front of the camera from that brief stint.

Carley Shimkus and Peter Buchignani posing together with a carved pumpkin

Carley Shimkus and her husband, Peter Buchignani, did not meet on the job or at school. Rather, their paths crossed while out on the town. “It was my 23rd birthday, we were out…and he was with one of his roommates at the time who was kind of a jerk…and he came and saved the day,” she said in an episode of Fox Nation’s “Ride to Work.” Evidently, sparks flew, and the two struck up a romance. Shimkus and Buchignani tied the knot in a wedding ceremony in New Jersey in 2015.

Since the couple are longtime fans of college football — Buchignani himself used to play football when he was at Princeton University, even earning an All-Ivy honorable mention at one point — they also figured out a way to showcase some team spirit at their wedding. Buchignani attended Princeton and Shimkus went to Quinnipiac University, but the University of Michigan is the school that rules their household. “My husband is a diehard fan,” she dished to Fox News’ Dana Perino. “We walked out to the Michigan fight song on our wedding day at his request!” In her aforementioned “Ride to Work” episode, she shared that they almost walked out to the “Game of Thrones” theme instead.

Carley Shimkus and Peter Buchignani posing together

A long-distance marriage can be a tricky thing to navigate, but Carley Shimkus and husband Peter Buchignani make it work. Shimkus has to stay in New York for her “Fox & Friends” role, whereas Buchignani landed a job at Amherst Pierpont Securities, which is based in Chicago, in 2013.

“Our whole marriage has been between New York and Chicago. We’re both very career-minded people right now, and because my career is here and his is there, we make it work,” Shimkus further explained to NJ Starz back in 2020. Typically, Shimkus and Buchignani reunite every Friday (with Buchignani doing a lot of the traveling) and fly back to their respective cities again on Sundays. “It’s always exciting to see each other,” the “Fox & Friends First” co-host added. So long as things go as planned, the couple gets to see each other every week. “I would say it’s about a 70/30 split, with him doing a majority of the travel to here,” Shimkus shared. “One day it won’t be like that anymore.”

Carley Shimkus smiling while holding her baby

Carley Shimkus and her husband, Peter Buchignani, welcomed their first child, son Brock, in February 2023. Finding a work-life balance while raising a baby and keeping unconventional work hours certainly doesn’t sound easy, but Shimkus makes as much time for her son as possible. “More than anything, I wanted to be a present mom while maintaining a rigorous work schedule,” she said in First Time Parent Magazine.

Shimkus also soon discovered that raising a baby in a giant metropolis like the Big Apple can further complicate the life of any new mom. “My biggest frustration is something that anyone who currently or has ever lived in New York City will understand. We need more closet space for all of the gear!” Shimkus told the outlet.

By June 2023, Shimkus was back to work. “It feels like the first day of school,” she said of her return to “Fox & Friends First.” “I didn’t sleep last night because I was so excited to be here.” In her aforementioned chat with First Time Parent, she noted that hiring a nanny helped make this possible. What’s more, the media personality has also become quite the expert in packing the perfect diaper bag. “I have water wipes, Vaseline, diapers, baby hand sanitizing wipes, a changing pad, washcloth, sunglasses, three lip glosses, and gum in mine!” Shimkus shared.

When she was in college, she interned on a famous morning radio show

    Roy Rochlin/Getty Images
As Carley Shimkus shared with Fox News’ Dana Perino, her family watched “Fox & Friends” every morning. “I thank God every day for allowing me to now work on the very show I used to watch,” she said. When Shimkus was still in school, she took a huge step that would turn her dream of being on Fox News a reality. While studying broadcast journalism at Quinnipiac University, Shimkus got the opportunity of a lifetime: an internship at Fox News in Washington D.C.

The experience was everything she ever wanted and more. “They really put me to work in such a positive way and taught me a lot about TV,” Shimkus recalled in the NJ Starz interview. Meanwhile, upon graduation, the veteran reporter also found her way back to Fox as she worked for the late Don Imus (the controversial radio personality who, among many other things, openly mocked former President Bill Clinton at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner) and his hit radio show “Imus in the Morning,” which had also been picked up for syndication by the Fox Business Network. Here, Shimkus started as a production assistant before eventually getting promoted to associate producer. She also became the field producer of the show’s “Man on the Street” segment. When Imus died in 2019, Shimkus posted a photo she took with her former boss on Facebook and wrote, “Rest in peace I-Man. Thank you for everything.”

At Fox Business, she started as a greenroom greeter

    carleyshimkus/Instagram
From the start, Carley Shimkus was determined to get as much experience as possible while working at Fox News. Early on in her career, the media personality even jumped at the chance to work as a greenroom greeter for Fox Business after HR told her about the opening. “Your job is to coordinate with the producers and bring the guests from when they first come into the lobby to different greenrooms and let the producers know that they’re there,” Shimkus explained during an interview with Barrett News Media. “It’s an entry-level position, but a very good job’. I loved it, and I loved being a part of it.”

As the Fox Business greenroom greeter, she also got to meet some of the network’s most famous talents. Since then, Shimkus has become one of the recognizable faces in news television. The New Jersey native has also chosen to remain at Fox, which is where it all began for her. “I feel so blessed to have the career that Fox News has afforded me,” Shimkus gushed in her aforementioned NJ Starz interview.

Carley Shimkus is a morning person

    Roy Rochlin/Getty Images
When Jillian Mele announced her final day at “Fox & Friends First” in October 2021, she told the audience she was looking forward to waking up at a decent hour for a change. “I’m going to … sleep past 1 a.m. for the first time in 15 years,” she quipped. Fortunately, Mele’s successor, Carley Shimkus, seems to be something of a morning person.

Shimkus got used to getting an extra early start on the day when she joined the Fox team. For instance, back when she was working for Don Imus, the New Jersey native typically reported to the Fox Business Network in Manhattan around 3:30 to 4 a.m. during her work days. At the same time, Shimkus also has to report early to work to do “Fox and Friends First,” which is why this co-host has to be up and at ’em around 1a.m. on most days.

And while some may struggle with that kind of schedule, Shimkus loves it. Er, she loves at least one part of it: the java. “I drink so much coffee that sometimes I’m going to bed at night and I get excited about waking up and drinking coffee in the morning,” the media personality once told Daily Mail. We don’t know how she takes her coffee, but if it makes waking up in the wee hours of the morning easier to digest, then it must be a good cup of coffee indeed.

At work, she’s known as The Foodie

    John Lamparski/Getty Images
For Carley Shimkus, coffee isn’t enough to get her going throughout her long and busy day. At some point, the New Jersey native has to sit down and enjoy a good meal. Luckily for Shimkus, “Fox and Friends First” has a segment called “Cooking With Friends” where anchors and other reporters take turns sharing some of their favorite meals on air. Once they’re done taping the segment, everyone also gets to try the food, which is the part that Shimkus enjoys the most. “There’s all this leftover food, and it’s gonna go to waste if you don’t eat it,” she explained during an interview with The Sun. This is also how she earned her nickname, “The Foodie.” “Well, they call me ‘The Foodie’ because I just stuff my face all the time,” Shimkus remarked.

Aside from indulging in all kinds of food prepared for her show’s segment, Shimkus also enjoys going somewhere nearby and dining with the show’s meteorologist Janice Dean, who is also as much of a food lover as Shimkus. “Janice [Dean] and I are definitely big eaters,” Shimkus even revealed. Sometimes, the women like to go to the nearby Flame Diner at Fox. Shimkus also has a hilarious way of letting Dean know about her dining plans. “I’ll just text her like, three flame emojis,” the New Jersey native revealed. “And she’s like: ‘Oh, yeah, we’re getting food today.’”

Carley Shimkus has a cookbook out

    carleyshimkus/Instagram
Over the years, the “Fox & Friends First” segment “Cooking with Friends” has featured so many incredible recipes. Evidently, Fox News Books recognized that this segment could work well on paper and approached Carley “The Foodie” Shimkus with a cookbook idea. She embraced the project, and “Cooking with Friends: Eat, Drink and Be Merry” hit shelves in October 2023.

The book features recipes from Shimkus, her fellow Fox reporters, and some of the show’s guests. One of the recipes is Shimkus’ tater tot casserole, which features a base made with frozen tater tots, breakfast sausage, cheese, egg, and sour cream. The book also includes a grilled donut recipe by Janice Dean, a linguine dish by Shimkus’ dad, and her family’s go-to corned beef plate. There are also recipes from Fox media personalities like Ainsley Earhardt, Rachel Campos-Duffy, Steve Doocy, Pete Hegseth, and Brian Kilmeade.

“None of the people who contributed are expert chefs,” Shimkus explained to the Daily Mail. “They have that one recipe that they love and is meaningful to them. If you’re a Fox viewers you watch these people on TV all day around the clock so it’s kind of cool to see them in a different light.”

Abby Hornacek — inside the 'Park'd' star's childhood and career – Deseret News

A certain sports journalist in Chicago believes she has strong insight into attributes that make Jeff Hornacek a good NBA coach.

“He’s the most dedicated person I’ve ever met, most motivated,’’ Hornacek’s 22-year-old daughter, Abby, told The Post in a phone interview. “That’s been great for me growing up, having him as a role model. After a game, he comes home and watches the game two times. He really puts everything he has into it. That’s what makes him really great.’’

Abby, a journalism major at USC, landed her first full-time gig in mid-August with a Jerry Reinsdorf-owned digital network 120 Sports in Chicago. Her father, who will orchestrate his first Knicks training camp beginning Sept. 26, came on as a guest last week when in town for the NBA coaches’ meetings.

“He was a player and understands the kind of relationships that go on,’’ Abby said, regarding her father’s coaching prowess. “He understands what the players are going through and how to work with them. He’s got a great basketball mind, sees the court and the mechanics. He’s very good at seeing everything. I would classify him as having a basketball sense. It comes naturally to him and that helps his role as a coach.’’

Abby played a small role in team president Phil Jackson hiring her father, making their get-together convenient. Hornacek was a long shot until their mid-May interview in Los Angeles. Hornacek was in L.A. for Abby’s USC graduation and met with Jackson there the next day. The Zen Master has a home in nearby Playa del Rey.

“I was super-excited but I didn’t want to get my hopes up too high,’’ she said.

Something of a sports geek, Abby has long has aspired to be a journalist. During college, she was career-minded, toiling at a series of sportscasting gigs — FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Arizona and at the NBA’s summer-league website, where she interviewed commissioner Adam Silver.

Abby has requested off Oct. 29 so she can attend the Knicks’ home opener vs. Memphis. She predicts a clear-cut playoff club.

“I think the team they have right now is very well-balanced with veterans and young players,’’ Abby said. “They have [Carmelo Anthony], [Joakim] Noah, [Derrick] Rose, [Courtney] Lee — all been through the playoff grind. That’s a great balance to the younger players like Kristaps [Porzingis], [Brandon] Jennings, Justin Holiday.

“I think D-Rose will be great. He can really break defenses down. He’s a money player and defensive force against other guards in the league.’’

In an email response, Hornacek said about his daughter’s new career: “My wife Stacy and I are extremely proud of Abby. She made a lot of sacrifices in college and worked very hard to accomplish her career goals while still graduating cum laude. … We are very excited to see her growth in a very tough field and for everyone to find out what a funny, smart and loving young woman she is.’’

Hornacek’s dedication to his daughter isn’t lip service. He got the grueling assignment of driving a cargo van 30 hours from Phoenix to Chicago to move her in.

“I’m a very lucky daughter,’’ Abby said.

The Knicks have given up on Jeff Hornacek, but daughter Abby sure hasn’t.

Taking to social media Thursday, hours after her father’s firing, Abby broke her silence on Hornacek’s tireless work with the team behind-the-scenes.

“I am so proud of this guy for everything he accomplished over the last couple of seasons,” Abby began. “A lot of people only saw what he did on the court, but we saw all of the 4am nights watching game film and the way he poured everything he had into this team. It’s the same way he pours everything he has into our family.

“My brother said it best…We get asked all the time who our ‘team is.’ The Knicks? Jazz? Suns? It doesn’t matter because I’m team Hornacek and while people can only call him ‘Coach,’ I get to call him ‘Dad.’ I know wherever he lands next is going to be lucky to have him. On to the next adventure!”

Hornacek’s reign in New York ended after two 50-loss seasons, despite one year remaining on his contract. As for Abby, her career as a sports journalist continues to thrive, as she currently co-hosts Watch Stadium’s “The Rally.”

The Golden State Valkyries improved to 6-6 on the 2025 WNBA season after their 88-77 win over the Indiana Fever on June 19.

San Francisco’s Chase Center felt like a playoff atmosphere on Thursday, as the sold-out crowd asserted itself from opening tip-off. While most Fever road games still feel like there’s a majority of Indiana fans who are there to see star guard Caitlin Clark, this was not the case for the Valkyries, as their home fans delivered for their team.

Speaking of Clark, she struggled during the defeat, finishing with 11 points on 3 of 14 shooting from the field, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. She also went 0 for 7 from three-point range, marking the second game of her WNBA career in which she hasn’t made a three. The first one such game came during the Fever’s May 22 win over the Atlanta Dream.

Clark also had 6 turnovers against Golden State, one of which was a travel in the third quarter while she was preparing to shoot a three. And once the play was called, Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (who was sitting courtside, a few feet away from where the travel was called) jumped out of his seat and emphatically did the travel motion with his hands while briefly following Clark down the court.

X user @warriorsworld posted a video of Podziemski (who typically goes by Podz) doing this with the caption, “Podz comedy”.

It was just that sort of game for Clark and her Fever squad.

‘Any other mum/dads  of 16 year old / post GCSE children suddenly find themselves with a new role of personal party driver? Mums Mini Cabs and yes I’m now a glasses wearer … game changer!’ she captioned the snap.

Jamie Oliver‘s new show, Jamie’s Dyslexia Revolution, hit screens earlier this month.

The documentary saw the TV chef look into the challenges dyslexic children have to tackle at school and push for more support from the Government.

Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that causes problems with reading, writing and spelling and difficulties with processing.

During the film, Holly features and opens up about her own battle with dyslexia.

Reflecting on her time at school, the TV star spoke about her ‘poor results’ in tests despite ‘working really, really hard’.

She said: ‘I definitely was terrible at spelling. I knew that because in spelling tests I would always get poor results’

‘I always knew that when I got my homework back, there would be red pen all over it where there would be ‘silly mistakes’,’ Holly added.

The presenter revealed how it made her feel ‘different’ and explained: ‘I felt like I was working really, really hard, with not getting much results. So I felt different.’

She shared her take on the current school system and how it isn’t suited for everyone.

‘The school system is made for a certain type of learning and its so hard when you don’t learn like that,’ Holly said.

‘When you then write yourself off at school as being non-academic that does shape your future somewhat,’ she added.

The TV presenter has previously said she was diagnosed with dyslexia ‘quite late in life’ and has praised her teachers with helping her overcome it at school.

And during an episode of This Morning back in 2022, the star said she did not see the learning difficulty as a ‘disability’, adding: ‘I think it makes me who I am.’

While discussing dyslexia with British entrepreneur, Sir Richard Branson, 71, who is also dyslexic, Holly said: ‘I don’t see it as a disability at all, I see it as a real feather in my cap.

‘I’m very proud of being dyslexic, I think it makes me who I am. I think half of the things I think that I’m actually quite good at in life are because I’m dyslexic.’

Sir Richard responded: ‘I was so hopeless at school work that I decided aged 15 to leave school and do the things that I was interested in, and once I started putting my dyslexic thinking brain to things that I was interested in I started to excel at them.

‘I think I was quite creative and great at getting a good group of people around me and motivating them well… and what I’ve realised over the years is being a dyslexic thinker is something that we should all be blessed with.’

He added: ‘When parents are told that their child is dyslexic, they should rejoice and tell them that they will have a little bit of a difficult time at doing some of the fundamentals at school but they should be concentrating soon after that on the things that they are good at.’

She also previously said she found her difficulties ‘shameful’ as a child during an episode of This Morning in 2021.

‘For me, because I’m not very good at spelling, for years I felt shameful about that’, the host reflected, before she revealed the turning point in her journey came when she went to college.

She opened up about how she struggled with her experience during her younger years, revealing: ‘Dyslexia is such a broad spectrum, people have so many different forms of it.

‘Yes, I’m dyslexic also and I had to find my own tool kit and for me it was finding somebody who understood this who could teach me how to access those tools because at school it wasn’t really that well known then.

‘I wouldn’t write down in front of people because I didn’t want them to see, but it doesn’t bother me now that I can’t spell.’

MEGHAN Markle should not lecture the royals on truth as her whole brand is built on l13s, an expert has blasted.

The Duchess of Sussex recently appeared on her podcast alongside friend Emma Grede, CEO of Good American, where she seemed to take several digs at the Royal Family.

Royal author and broadcaster Hugo Vickers and news commentator Samara Gill spoke to The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson this week about Meghan’s comments.

On Royal Exclusive, Matt noted how he was stunned at Meghan’s latest podcast interview where she asked people to “tell the truth about her”.

Samara said: “The fact is she is a constant l1ar and her whole brand is built on a spin of l13s.”

“I don’t trust a word that woman says. I think it is very, very low for her to insinuate that we should listen to her truth or that the royal family should tell the truth.

“The lack of authenticity in that interview is palpable.”

Samara added that perhaps the “revolving door of staff” the Sussexes have employed may shed more light on “truth”.

Countless staff members have joined a long list of people who over the years no longer wish to associate with the mum-of-two.

Samara also referenced bullying allegations levelled at her from staff during her time at Kensington Palace.

The royal expert added: “I don’t want to listen to this woman about truth.

“The fact of the matter is that she is a constant l1ar.”

Why Harry will not be happy after hyp0crite Meghan published intimate moments online, expert reveals
On the podcast, Meghan revealed that she wanted people to “tell the truth” about her, when asked “if you you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything you would do differently?”

The Duchess went on to share advice that she had received from Serana Williams regarding how she was viewed in the public after falling love with Prince Harry.

“My dear friend Serena, she told me years ago: ‘A lie can’t live forever,’” said Meghan.

But Hugo, agreed with Samara on the issue and questioned how accurate Meghan’s accusatory comments actually were.

He said: “I think Samara and I, as well as others, do tell the truth about her and I don’t think she likes it very much.”

The royal expert added: “No one would actually listen to Meghan Markle if it wasn’t for the fact she married Prince Harry.

“It’s because she’s married to Harry it gives the soap opera quality that seems to appeal to everyone.

“Otherwise would not really care about her, a lot of other people are doing stuff similar to her on social media anyway.”

It comes after the Duchess broke her silence on her cringey twerking video after it sparked wild c0nspiracy the0ries.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, posted the footage earlier this month showing her and Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room as she tried to induce daughter Lilibet’s birth in 2021.

But conspiracy theorists bizarrely claimed that Meghan’s bump was not real, suggesting she was wearing a prosthetic pregnant belly in the clip.

Now, almost a fortnight after sharing the 80-second video with her three million followers on Instagram, the ex-Suits actress has defended her decision to post the personal footage.

Regarded as the last 2 Great tragicomic figures of British television – Noel Edmonds and Jeremy Clarkson move viewers to Tears over their current state!

The pitch for Noel Edmonds’ Kiwi Adventure must have been: let’s do Clarkson’s Farm, but with Noel Edmonds. Yes, let’s. And it does not disappoint. It’s as if one of Alan Partridge’s most desperate pitches finally got made.

I had, in fact, stopped holding out for ‘youth hostelling with Chris Eubank’ or ‘arm wrestling with Chas and Dave’ but now feel hopeful again.

This is top-quality entertainment, possibly not for the right reasons, but I watched two episodes (of the six) and was transfixed.

Edmonds may be the greatest tragi- comic character of our time.

Noel Edmonds moved to New Zealand in 2018.

Ah, so that’s where he’s been for the past seven years, you probably hadn’t been wondering. He was no longer a fan of Britain.

He says: ‘All the things I miss about Britain are the reasons I left. It changed so much, so fast, so fundamentally, that I found myself missing a quieter country.’ He then adds perceptively: ‘We are not trees so we can move.’

His estate, River Haven, is a monumentally stunning 800 acres. Here he is attempting to run a restaurant, a pub, a vineyard, a wellness centre, a general store and a coffee shack.

He wants to be clear: this is not about him.

He and his ‘earth angel’ wife, Liz, ‘could sit in a big house somewhere but we feel we need to make a difference’.

He met Liz when she was his make-up artist on Deal or No Deal. She first walked into the make-up room at 11.06 on October 6 in 2006, so now all the clocks in their house are set to 11.06. ‘I knew she was in the room before I turned round,’ he remembers. ‘You will never pull us apart… we are one.’ They are happy together.

They have warrior statues in their private garden ‘because Liz believes I was an emperor or leader of men in my past’. (He also has a giant praying knight statue to counter ‘dark forces’.) It’s one fascinatingly bizarre moment after another.

They look through a box of old photos and he finds one fromLive Aid. ‘My company organised the air transport,’ he says, ‘at no cost to them.’

He later says, randomly, ‘I pay my tax.’ It feels as if he’s pleading with us: how could you not love me? How? That’s the ‘tragi’ part, I guess.

He doesn¿t draw Clarkson-style crowds. On the day his restaurant opens for the season only a couple of people turn up. (It is pouring with rain, to be fair)

He is 76, with hair that still defies gravity and, you could say, fashion. He looks remarkably unchanged. He has, it turns out, quite the wellness regime.

It involves lying on a bed under suspended crystals, pulse electromagnetism therapy, ‘tranquil power’ – using a multigym slowly, from the looks of it – saunas, ice-baths, a hyperbaric chamber (‘it shoots pure oxygen into your body; I’m rocking!’) and also ‘VIBE’.

This he explains, is his acronym for ‘visualisation of body energy’. (Let’s all pretend we haven’t noticed it should be ‘VOBE’.)

He and Liz only drink ‘structured water’, which they make themselves. (Look it up.)

Wikipedia describes it as a ‘scam’ but he says it is better absorbed than regular water.

He likes to round off his sentences with: ‘…and that’s a scientific fact’. Later it is: ‘Your body is lighter after death because your soul weighs something… scientific fact.’

No one has yet identified the scientific universe Edmonds gets his facts from. Remember when he said bad vibes could give you cancer? Or did he mean vobes?

Noel Edmonds first look at his new life abroad after quitting the UK

All this, and we haven’t even got to his business yet! So, his pub is not called The Farmer’s Dog and he doesn’t sell a beer called Hawkstone.

Instead, it is called ‘The Bugger Inn’ and his beers include Tits Up, Boring Bastard and Old Git. There is also a Dickens Cider ‘that is very popular with the ladies.’

No one has yet identified the humour universe he gets his jokes from either.

He doesn’t draw Clarkson-style crowds. On the day his restaurant opens for the season only a couple of people turn up. (It is pouring with rain, to be fair.)

The pub stages a Halloween party that seems to have all the atmosphere of an underpopulated Saga event.

He worries that the local community won’t accept him but, lest we forget, ‘there are people who have lived here all their lives who are saying thank you, thank you’. No, thank you, Noel. This is a blast.

Fans of the hit series ‘Fletchers’ Family Farm’ will be thrilled to learn that the lovable former ITV Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and his family are once again filming, now for the third series. The latest achievement for the farming family was caught on camera as they returned to the Royal Cheshire Show with their baby bull Ray on Tuesday.

Kelvin’s success at the prominent agricultural event continued after winning notable prizes last year; he and his son Milo claimed the native and junior champion awards with their cattle. This year, the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ champ triumphed again with the young bull Ray, just 11 months old.

There was some initial concern on the day when they had to ensure Ray was fit to participate following the journey from their Peak District farm, reports the Manchester Evening News. Kelvin opened up: “This was his first time showing, he’s only a bull calf and he lives with only five other cows so to come here today with so many cows, well it’s been a bit overwhelming – for both of us actually!”.

He added, despite the heat: “It was very warm, so we had him checked out, but he was all clear and won best in class.” Ray’s debut award meant a busy afternoon for Kelvin who later showcased his Lincoln Red rare breed bull, yet he was equally eager to take in the Royal Cheshire Show’s atmosphere alongside his brood.

Kelvin expressed his enthusiasm for the day’s activities, commenting, “This is a great event, there’s something for everyone and we’re enjoying it all as a family today. It’s nice to have an award and then hopefully I’ll have an ice cream later with the kids.”

At the agricultural show, Kelvin’s pride was evident as his family, including wife Liz and their children Marnie, Milo, Mateusz and Maximus, supported him while he participated in livestock events with his bovine companion Ray.

The occasion, captured on camera, provided some light-hearted entertainment when Kelvin, having secured a rosette, amusingly struggled to coax Ray, who was more interested in grazing, out of the ring. Liz quickly joined in to assist her husband.

In discussing the success of his ITV series, which chronicles his life after his tenure as Andy Sugden in ‘Emmerdale’ and his transition into farming, Kelvin’s face lit up: “The show has been really well received. I don’t know what it is, but I think the audience is learning with us.”

With filming currently underway, Kelvin confirmed viewers can expect the next instalment to hit screens by October, with another Fletchers’ Family Farm Christmas special slated for December.

Although the decision is still up in the air about hosting Christmas festivities at their Wincle farm, Kelvin’s approach is to take it one step at a time: “We need to get through summer first and then think about the winter.”
