BREAKING NEWS: WNBA ISSUES FINAL VERDICT on Caitlin Clark’s Sh0ve Incident!

The WNBA announced penalties for multiple players involved in a rowdy contest between the Indiana Fever and Connecticut Sun during the Commissioner’s Cup on Tuesday, June 17.

The primary skirmish in the contest involved Fever point guard Caitlin Clark getting shoved to the ground by Marina Mabrey after the whistle on a foul call against Connecticut. However, that was far from the only serious incident of the night, which has had fans and analysts criticizing the league and its referees over the past 24 hours for failure to control the game.

In response, the WNBA levied several fines against multiple perpetrators on both teams, though decided not to suspend any of the players involved.

Connecticut Sun guard Marina Mabrey (3) fouls Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) in the second half at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

“The Fever’s Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, as well as the Sun’s Marina Mabrey, Jacy Sheldon, Tina Charles and Lindsay Allen all had various roles in several scraps between the two sides on Tuesday night,” Camden Markel of the New York Post reported Wednesday. “Cunningham, who was ejected for a hard foul and the ensuing scuffle that arose afterward, received a fine from the WNBA on Wednesday, and Mabrey, who initially only received a technical foul during the game after shoving Clark in the third quarter, got her foul upgraded to a flagrant 2, which comes with a fine.”

The precise fine amounts were not disclosed by the league, Markel added in her report.

Indiana won the contest by a score of 88-71, advancing to the finals of the Commissioner’s Cup. Clark led the way with 20 points, six assists and two steals.

The Fever will next take the court against the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday night, June 19. The game will air on Amazon Prime.

The Caitlin Clark Effect - NCAA.org

Some of the most frequently treaded topics in sports, like who is or is not a superstar (for instance, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers), or which player is the greatest of all time between Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant can grow tedious quickly based on the shallow nature of those discussions and how frequently debate shows on television and radio regurgitate them when in need of content.

But sometimes discussions about popularity and fame can find compelling lanes to occupy, such as when debating where a female athlete like Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark stacks up in the pantheon of professional sports figures in the United States.

Fox Sports analysts Colin Cowherd, of “The Herd” and Nick Wright of “First Things First” delved into that conversation on Wednesday, June 18. The two came out of the discussion agreeing that Clark is already in the upper echelon of all athletes — male and female — across all of American sports and that she could potentially elevate to No. 1 on that list in a few years time, once a small handful of players who outrank her in that regard retire.

“I’ve decided that [Clark’s] star can’t be up high enough,” Wright said during a guest appearance on Cowherd’s show. “Once Steph [Curry] and LeBron [James] retire, will there be an active American athlete, that’s not a quarterback, that’s more famous than her?”

“No,” Cowherd responded. “No, there won’t.”

“I think she will be more famous than every baseball player — she might already be, in this country — every hockey player, all of the U.S. Men’s National [Soccer] Team and every football player that isn’t really Patrick Mahomes and maybe Lamar [Jackson], Josh [Allen] — like, there’s only a few,” Wright continued. “And I think she’s already more famous than every NBA player but [Kevin Durant], Steph and LeBron. And I don’t see any of those [other] guys catching her. I think she is a supernova of fame and talent.”

“And it is not anti-Angel Reese or the WNBA to acknowledge [Clark] is the Tiger [Woods] of 20 years ago on the [PGA] Tour,” Cowherd added. “The ratings disappear [when Clark is not playing]. It’s nothing against the WNBA. [Clark] literally is changing the entire league economy.”

Fox News erupts over Aishah Hasnie – Rising to GLOBAL FAME – a SPECIAL NICKNAME bestowed upon her – Now TRENDING worldwide!

Naming Fox News journalist and congressional correspondent Aishah Hasnie “The World’s Most Eligible Bachelorette” wasn’t difficult, it’s figuring out how it’s even possible she’s eligible that has us stumped, as it should every serious lawmaker on Capitol Hill.

Funding the government can wait – We need answers!

In a recent interview on “The Untold Story” podcast, hosted by Martha MacCallum, Aishah made light of her not-so-dire plight, rehashing failed matchmaking ventures, and her parent’s long-persevered “arranged marriage” concept she’s rejected for years, before seemingly coming to the realization they probably know best and “it” (arranged marriage), not a fairy tale romance, could be the ticket.

The Fox News star hasn’t set a deadline but seems determined to find the perfect mate, or at least a formidable one.

MacCallum: “I would imagine your bar is very high. We don’t want you settling for just anyone Aishah.”

Hasnie: “It’s getting lower and lower as we go (laughing).”

The news she’s expanding the potential pool and someone other than herself might choose the lucky groom, has no doubt caused quite a stir in Washington, including elation from a trough of “dreamy” politicians and government retiree hopefuls, that only a few weeks ago had no hope.

Oh, it’s true, the Lahore, Pakistan native who immigrated to the U.S. with her family at age 6, settling first in Illinois before moving to Indiana and graduating with a degree in journalism, working her way to the top and becoming one of the most beloved, accomplished, and – in our expert opinion – beautiful women in the world, could be your bride if mom and dad approve.

Well, don’t get your hopes up just yet, “Team Hasnie” is no pushover…

As revealed to MacCallum, Aishah’s parents kept a tight leash on the future Fox News star and her siblings in their adolescent years.

“I wasn’t allowed to date. I wasn’t allowed to wear shorts. I wasn’t allowed to do a lot of things – go to prom when I was growing up…”

While many teenage girls would have rebelled, Aishah honored her parents’ wishes, opting for a heart-tugging tactic as a last resort in hopes she’d get to experience a night out with the “cool” kids.

    It failed…

“I tried to trick my mom. I went to a prom dress shop and I put on this beautiful purple gown and I called her to pick me up and I was standing there wearing the gown, and I said ‘Mom, can I go?’

She  said ‘You look beautiful, but no.’”

“I think a lot of conservative parents out there would understand my parents, in that they didn’t want me to run away with a boy…

Aishah Hasnie attends Saski Collection by Tammy Hembrow hosted by Klarna STYLE360 on February 11, 2020 in New York City. (Photo by Thomas Concordia/Getty Images)

A lot of things I didn’t understand when I was growing up, but I think about what my parents were going through, having to learn a brand new language, learn the way Americans function, how to just survive in this brand new world not knowing a lot of people and all you’re trying to do is hold onto your kids and make sure that they don’t stray, that they don’t forget who they are.

You know we talk about fentanyl all the time, back then it was every other drug. They were just trying to protect us and so I understand it now, but yeah, it was tough.”

For the adventure-seeking prospects, don’t let the “goody-two-shoes” persona fool you. While she avoided serious trouble growing up, it wasn’t necessarily from a lack of trying.

“One of my best friends was a Baptist preacher’s daughter, so she and I really connected. We both wanted to get away with a lot, but we got away with nothing (laughing).”

Despite the “boot-camp” like childhood, Aishah and her parents have evolved and now embrace much of the American culture.

Looking back, Aishah says her mom “feels terrible” about prom “because now she gets it.”

The refreshing thing is there seems to be no bitterness, instead, the family bond grew stronger through understanding and compassion. While holding tight to their Pakistani roots, Aishah helped blend its best parts with American traditions, eventually becoming the teacher.

“My parents had to learn how to say ‘I love you.’ I didn’t hear ‘I love you’ until in my twenties. I know it’s hard to understand, but they didn’t hear that growing up. It just wasn’t said. It wasn’t a thing. They would have given their lives for me. I knew they loved me.

I kind of had to train them. I would call my mom and start saying it. At first it was giggles… then it was ‘Oh thank you.’ Then it was ‘You too.’

And now she cannot get off the phone without ‘I love you I love you I love you’ and then lots of kisses – it’s so cute. Both my parents are like that now.”

Needless to say, we’re on “Team Hasnie.” If they give a thumbs up to a groom, rest assured they have their daughter’s best interest at heart.

On her way to the prestigious  title, awarded for the first time by Rounder Magazine, Aishah overcame some stiff competition.

Coming in a close second was 31-year-old actress, singer and businesswoman, Selena Gomez who turned heads in her first year of eligibility.

One celebrity insider taking in a recent red carpet event attended by the two time Grammy Award nomination recipient, was overheard  discussing Gomez’s impressive “Rookie Year” with an unnamed industry exec.

“If she uses her social media reach next year to lobby fans and judges she’s a shoo-in” to win… she’ll  be a force for years to come, barring unforeseen circumstances…”

Some fans on hearing the news Gomez was a front-runner in the competition seemed more confused than excited for the mesmerizing star.

‘Wait, she’s single? What’s wrong with dudes nowadays? That woman is fine!”

‘I’ll marry her even if she did whack the guy in “The Building“‘ another offered.

IWMbuzz named Indian actress Urvashi Rautela their recipient. The “epitome of grace and beauty” gave a heartfelt quote after receiving the honor, bringing tears to some in attendance.

“World’s Most Eligible Bachelorette. My deepest gratitude to IWMbuzz and everyone for this award. I pledge to continue working diligently to live up to the expectations it carries.”

Trey conducted various reports for the network from the Ukrnian city of Kyiv.

During one of the station’s broadcasts, he said: “Pe0ple are d here, I’m witnessing it every day.”

“I think we need to shine a light on these dark places and let people know what’s happening on the ground here.”

He added: “There’s a lot of politics behind the scenes when there’s a conflict like this, but the people most affected are the civilians.”

“They watched what would normally be a very pleasant place to be turned into a wr zone with a backdrop of dth and d3struction.”

Trey stated during his report: “I think it’s important for us to characterize that accurately and show people what is happening on the ground, as well as hold those public officials accountable for what’s taking place here.”

“This has nothing to do with politics and nothing to do with picking a side, it has to do with presenting the facts at hand.”

SAD NEWS – Travis Kelce can’t hide his disappointment over the past – anxious this could be his FINAL NFL SEASON!

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tavis Kelce has not done much losing over the last half decade-plus, which has significantly impacted his standards for both himself and his team, as well as his outlook on what both entities accomplish (or don’t).

Kelce is a three-time Super Bowl champion. He has played in five Super Bowls with the Chiefs over the past six seasons and has earned at least a berth in the AFC Championship game with Kansas City in each of the previous seven campaigns.

When Kelce retires, he will do so as arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history. Over the course of his 12-year career to this point, Kelce has earned Pro-Bowl honors 10 times and All-Pro honors (either First-Team or Second-Team) on seven occasions.

If Kelce never caught another pass, he would retire with 1,004 receptions, 12,151 receiving yards and 77 touchdowns then breeze into the Hall of Fame as part of the first ballot on which he is eligible.

Kelce will have also earned north of $111 million during his NFL career following the 2025 campaign, which doesn’t include his substantial off-field earnings as a podcaster and product pitchman. He is currently in a longterm relationship with self-made billionaire and global music icon Taylor Swift.

But despite all of that, Kelce looked back on Kansas City falling one win shy of a fourth Super Bowl title in February via a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and described the campaign as a failure for both himself and his team.

“Unfortunately for me, I’m only interested in Super Bowl rings,” Kelce said during his Chiefs media availability on Wednesday, June 18. “Last year wasn’t a success for me, and I’m motivated to make sure we get that other ring this year.”

Kelce went on to note that 2025 is his final year under contract with Kansas City, adding that he and the franchise will “try and figure out something” for the 2026 campaign.

That said, Kelce will turn 36 years old in October, which means this season could be his last chance to add a fourth Super Bowl ring to his resumé before he moves on to life after football.

Cat and her co-star Ben Shephard had been hearing children talk about their teachers at a primary school in Surrey when she was given the surprise.

Mrs Cotterill, Cat’s own primary school teacher, suddenly appeared via video link – and she referred to Cat by her real name.

Addressing the star, she said: “Her name is Katie.”

Ben said to Mrs Cotterill: “Because you of course know her as Katie.”

Cat went on to explain that her real name is Catherine, but that she was called Katie when she was growing up.

“Well my real name is Catherine but my grandad always used to call me Katie and my mum and dad and stuff,” she said.

“Unless I was in trouble, then I was sometimes Catherine!”

Cat was delighted to see her former teacher and she was given a glowing report by Mrs Cotterill.

The teacher, who is from Birmingham, said of Cat at school: “She was very enthusiastic, a very kind child. Always wanting to help, always wanting to be involved, just actually, an all round super person.”

Cat grew up in Birmingham and attended Grove Vale Junior School, followed by Dartmouth High School.

Bosses at the model agency decided it would be easier to give her a nickname when it came to clients rebooking her.

Cat later moved into television, landing a spot on popular kids’ show SMTV: Live alongside Ant and Dec.

She went on to become one of a few UK stars to crack America after bagging the job of host on So You Think You Can Dance?.

In 2023, Cat was brought in as a guest presenter on This Morning following the departure of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Cat – who has two children with her Irish TV star husband Patrick Kielty – was later made the ITV show’s permanent host alongside Ben.
