Sealed with a k1ss! Joy Behar locked lips with talk show guest Sarah Silverman during an episode of The View, leaving viewers surprised.

Sarah, 54, appeared on the ABC show on Thursday, May 29, where she talked about her career and her new standup special, PostMortem, which is out on Netflix. She brought a lot of laughs throughout the segment. As the segment was wrapping up, Joy, 82, said, “It’s always fun to see you,” to which Sarah replied, “I love seeing you.”

“Do you want to do the goodbye?” Whoopi Goldberg asked as Joy and Sarah faced each other.

It was then that Sarah leaned over to k1ss Joy on the lips. The audience clapped after the women shared a smooch. “We’ll all do it,” Sarah said.

“How’s her breath?” Ana Navarro asked.

Sarah hilariously started eating from a bowl of Tic Tacs that was sitting in front of her on the desk. It was a reference to a moment earlier on in the segment when Joy talked about how she liked to have mints on the table during each show.

“What’s this? Mints? You have a bowl of mints? Why do you have a bowl of mints?” Sarah asked, to which Joy replied, “I like to have them. I need fresh breath.”

The Saturday Night Live alum then recalled a joke that she heard about bad breath.

“You know my friend Todd Glass has the best joke,” Sarah said. “When someone has bad breath, [you say] ‘I wonder what like a thousand Tic Tacs would taste like.’”

After the k1ss happened and Sarah began popping mints in her mouth, cohost Sara Haines playfully said, “I wonder what it’s like to have a thousand Tic Tacs right now,” which was a callback to the joke.

Joy is no stranger to making headlines with her antics on The View. Last month, she left everyone laughing when she tried tickling Whoopi, 69, during a segment on the long-running talk show.

“I recently found out that Whoopi is very ticklish. Just saying,” Joy announced on the program.

Sara, 47, laughed as Joy reached over to tickle Whoopi, who swatted her hand away multiple times.

“Ow! I know this is going to come as a shock, that was my breast!” Whoopi shouted. Sara began giggling while sitting in between the two.

“She just pushed it onto the other side, listen we have guests,” the Sister Act actress said after the tickling bit. All of the other cohosts began to laugh as Whoopi attempted to move the segment along as planned.

The segment came just before Joy opened up on The View’s “Behind the Table” podcast about how the group of cohosts gets along. She said that the cast “doesn’t fight a lot” and they are all “very, very amiable with each other.”

“I’ve been here many years now, and I know a lot of different groups. This group is the least … what’s the word I’m looking for …? They have the least animosity,” Joy said. “Some years they’ve been bad.”

After announcing her breakup from former fiancé Joel Schiffman, Hoda Kotb has a new outlook on love! The Today host has been candid about being open to romance despite their shocking split.

They first met in 2013 at an event in NYC. It didn’t take long for their connection to blossom into a relationship. In November 2019, Hoda shared during an episode of Today that Joel had popped the question. Viewers of Today were not expecting their breakup announcement in 2022.

“Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we’re better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple, so we decided we are going to start this new year … on our new path as loving parents to our adorable, delightful children, and as friends,” Hoda said.

On Her Breakup

During an episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show in August 2024, Hoda explained why her relationship with Joel ended.

“Joel is one of the best people I know, and he really is a great human being,” the broadcaster said. “And I feel like I’m a pretty great human being, but sometimes two great human beings together isn’t quite enough to make it work.”

She went on to say that they were “growing at different paces,” making it hard for them to “be in sync.”

“I think a lot of people are probably in these situations,” Hoda shared. “One person’s growing … or one person wants it this way, and one person wants it that way.”

On Branching Out

Hoda revealed that Today cohost Jenna Bush Hager set her up with a mystery man in March 2024. But after three dates, they decided to call it quits.

“I did go on the third date, but I did kind of decide in that space because this person, who’s a lovely human being, has a lot of things that are being worked out that I think I’m looking for more kind of simplicity,” she said.

“I think when you reach a phase like I was very much a fixer in life … sometimes you’re like, you know what, let’s just pause that instinct because that is my instinct,” Hoda admitted.

On Welcoming Romance

In August 2024, Hoda gave a hopeful update on her quest for lasting love. “I can see romance clearly, I just can. It’s how you know something is meant to be,” she told Page Six.

“I thought 50 was great, but 60 may be it!” she continued. “I feel like this is the season of repotting and growth. There’s this feeling that the roots are up in the air, but then you land in this rich soil and you’re like, ‘Oh, more room to grow.’”

Hoda was in good spirits at The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Most Powerful People in New York Media event in May 2022.

“It’s a feral girl summer, and we’re leading the charge!” she told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet.

The former Dateline anchor said she was “tiptoeing along” when it came to her dating life. Ultimately, the thing she was looking forward to the most in summer was spending time with her family.

And the organisation has announced that despite personal challenges, Patrick will be returning to host The Late Late Show come September. The news follows the surprising revelation that Patrick and his wife Cat Deeley are parting ways after 13 years of marriage.

The couple, who reside in London with their two sons, James, aged 8, and Milo, aged 5, have been living there while Patrick commuted weekly to RTÉ for hosting duties. An RTÉ spokesperson confirmed the comedian’s return, stating: “RTÉ looks forward to Patrick returning to the Late Late Show in September.”

Patrick had previously disclosed a three-season contract with the national broadcaster, reports the Irish Mirror. The father of two has made it known that he will personally cover all travel and accommodation expenses associated with his role on the show.

Before taking up the mantle as Late Late host, he shared: “I’m pleased to finally be able to share that I’ve signed a three-season deal to host The Late Late Show beginning this September.

“I’m being paid €250,000 per 30-show season. If additional shows are requested by RTÉ, they’ll be paid on a pro-rata basis.

“I’m also receiving a one-off payment of €20,000 to cover the pre-production and rehearsals from now to September. The contract allows me to submit flight and accommodation expenses, but I’ve waived this.

“I’ve made it clear to RTE that I will be covering my own flights and accommodation costs. I’ve also asked RTÉ to carbon offset my flights. I genuinely hope this helps clarify things going forward. I can’t wait to get started.”

The news of Patrick’s professional future comes after he and Cat released a joint statement together regarding their split. In a statement shared with the PA news agency, the pair said: “We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

“We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.”

It’s not clear at present exactly when the couple split. However, they had been spending time apart due to their conflicting schedules.

While Patrick had a huge contract in Ireland, Cat’s This Morning role saw her required to be in London.

The last time Cat referenced Patrick on her Instagram account came in October 2023. It came a month after the pair were last at a public appearance together.

Elton John shared an emotional update with his fans ahead of his speculated appearance at Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral in Birmingham later today. The Rocketman singer posted a photo of cards on his Instagram that he had received from loved ones as he marked a particularly poignant occasion, his “sobriety birthday”.

The music legend, 78, who once admitted he “would be d3ad” had he not have asked sought help with his addictions, marked the occasion alongside his husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11. Previously Elton revealed he had treated former lovers “like hostages” at the height of his addiction that saw him “behave like an a**hole”. He told Time Magazine in a deeply candid article last year: “You make terrible decisions on drugs, I’d see someone I liked and spend three or four months together, and then they would resent me because they had nothing in their life apart from me.”

Entering the Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago as an inpatient in 1990, Sir Elton received six weeks of treatment for his addictions to drugs, alcohol and food.

Reflecting on his wild past, he admitted to Variety at Cannes Film Festival in 2019: “The life I was leading, flying on the Starship, living in beautiful houses, buying things left, right and centre. It was not a normal life. I used to have spasms and be found on the floor, and they’d put me back to bed, and half an hour later, I’d be doing the same. It’s crazy.”

His fans were quick to share their kind comments with Elton as they praised his commitment to embracing a healthier lifestyle. One commented: “You’re an inspiration”. Another added: “An absolute credit and fine example you are.”

It comes as Elton’s old friend Ozzy Osbourne is due to have his cortege go through Birmingham today allowing fans to pay their respects.

Even Chaser Paul Sinha was floored by a mind-bending maths question on ITV’s The Chase on Wednesday (July 30) — leaving both a contestant and baffled viewers at home scratching their heads. RAF pilot Andrew, 32, from Harrogate and currently living in Anglesey, was in the hot seat during Wednesday’s episode when he and The Sinnerman were both stumped by a deceptively difficult brain-teaser known as the “Birthday Paradox”.

The tricky question posed by host Bradley Walsh was: “How many people need to be in a room to give a 99.9% chance that two of them share the same birthday?” The multiple-choice options were 25, 50 or 75. Andrew chose 25, explaining, “I think it’s one of those weird maths [questions], it doesn’t sound very distinctive – but it’s an unusual number so I went for the low.” Even the usually razor-sharp Sinnerman was caught off guard and also answered 25.

When the correct answer, 75, was revealed, a visibly shocked Bradley exclaimed: “NOO!”

Paul replied: “I knew it was low so went for the lowest, I’d heard the fact before but clearly not well enough!”

The moment left viewers reeling, with one taking to social media to admit: “Still don’t understand the maths question.”

Another penned: “Is this The 1% Club or The Chase lol? that maths question was so hard!” A third chimed in: “Anyone else feel thick at that maths one?”

Andrew had performed strongly in his cashbuilder round, answering eight questions correctly and putting himself in a solid position to join fellow contestant Wendy from Manchester in the final Chase. Wendy had already banked £2,000 after opting for the lower offer — and sailing through.

But despite a good performance, Andrew’s stumble on the maths question nearly cost him the round. Fortunately, with The Sinnerman making the same mistake, he got a second chance.

The Birthday Paradox — which continues to confuse even the brightest minds — states that in a random group of just 23 people, there’s a 50-50 chance two will share the same birthday.

But for that likelihood to hit 99.9%, the number jumps dramatically to 75. The maths behind it involves comparing all possible birthday pairings, resulting in hundreds of combinations — far more than most people intuitively guess.

Before the final Chase, Paul summed it up: “What’s interesting about this team is because of their terrible start [in losing two contestants], I don’t think many of the viewers will have noticed how well they played in their cash builders – because they got 25 questions right.

“Super Team by definition. I’ve managed to halve them, and because I’ve managed to halve them, I’ve made myself favourite for the final Chase – but only slightly.”

“I accept living with Criticism – But PLEASE don’t huɾt my family.” – Dominic Chinea, star of The Repair Shop (BBC), opens up about a DIFFICULT TIME that left audiences in Tears!

BBC’s The Repair Shop favourite Dominic Chinea has revealed the darker side of social media, prompting him to caution one of his colleagues about the scrutiny that comes with appearing on camera, admitting: “It’s not all roses.”

The 38-year-old metalwork specialist has been a cornerstone of the BBC programme since 2017, establishing himself as an integral part of the team.

Beyond his television role, he maintains a thriving YouTube channel where he showcases his diverse talents as a set designer, metal fabricator, and vintage car restorer, whilst also presenting the BBC series Make it at Market.

Since rising to prominence as a television personality, the craftsman acknowledges he’s had to toughen up against online criticism.

When questioned about the positives and negatives of digital platforms, he revealed on the We Are Makers YouTube channel: “It’s been so helpful for me, it’s an amazing tool and yes, it’s relentless putting videos up every Sunday.”

“We do a YouTube video every Sunday [at] 5pm and we’ve been doing that for two and a bit years now.

“It takes over your life in a way, like, ‘What’s this video going to be?’, but it’s give and take, and the community it builds is so helpful.”

Dominic continued by explaining how social media helped him discover his first ranalah machine, which has proved invaluable for numerous projects.

However, addressing the negative aspects of maintaining an online presence, the artisan recounted a specific occasion when “many people had a go” at him for choosing not to rebuild the engine on a motorcycle restoration project.

In a candid exchange, the channel’s presenter Jack Lennie recalled noticing “comment after comment” beneath the video Dominic had mentioned.

“I will say my skin has got a lot thicker and leathery,” the BBC personality jokingly confessed, before adding: “It really is [required].”

Dominic then shared that he had previously prepped his YouTube colleague Jon for potential online criticism and how to handle it when he appeared on camera for the first time.

The star explained: “And anyone new, like Jon, that comes up and helps me, when he first started coming, I was like, I want him to come and help, I’ve known him for years, and I was like, ‘Come down and give me a hand’.

“But it’s not all roses, like, you know, there are [comments] and you’ve got to take it with, not a pinch of salt, but you’ve just got to not take it to heart.”

Tonight, Dominic returns to our screens with his fellow expert and upholsterer Sonnaz Nooranvary, embarking on a fresh endeavour.

The skilled duo will be working their magic on a set of original seats from Arsenal’s Highbury stadium, alongside repairing a broken locket from the Second World War, a shop ledger dating back to 1909, and a chapel from a meticulously crafted model village that once graced a Somerset garden.
