“Everything has been Decided” – Janet Street-Porter (78), veteran host of “Loose Women”, officially speaks out about the Fate amid ITV’s wave of cuts.

Loose Women favourite Janet Street-Porter has shed light on the looming cuts coming to ITV which are set to impact several daytime shows.

Panellist and journalist Janet, 78, has insisted that none of the ‘older’ Loose Women panellists will be going anywhere, hinting that if jobs are to be cut, it will be the newcomers or younger stars who appear on the ITV show.

“There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite of what some people have said,” Janet insisted. “In fact, the reserve is true. ITV actually put out a statement saying we are the valued members of the show because the audience totally relates to us.”

Janet added: “I think Loose Women has become a programme that is trusted by a lot of women because we talk about the issues that they are concerned about – whether it’s female health, domestic violence, or how politicians don’t really understand working women.

‘I went on a date with a doctor and realised he told big lie when I turned up’

“I think the show has managed to connect women who wouldn’t otherwise have a voice. And it’s delivered with a lot of laughs because we don’t take ourselves too seriously,” she told Bella.

It comes as Loose Women is facing its biggest shake-up in decades, with dramatic changes that have left fans and cast members reeling as insiders fear the ITV favourite could be axed altogether within the next year.

The iconic lunchtime chat show, known for its bold debates and A-list guests, is expected to cut celebrity interviews completely from January as part of sweeping budget cuts across ITV Daytime.

The move comes just months after bosses announced the show would only air for 30 weeks of the year rather than its usual 52, slashing production time nearly in half.

Now, with viewing figures predicted to tumble even further, sources claim Loose Women is “on borrowed time” as ITV pivots its focus to sister shows Lorraine and This Morning.

Over its 25 year history, Loose Women has welcomed some of the world’s biggest stars to the panel – from Naomi Campbell and Janet Jackson to Dame Joan Collins and even former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

But sources claim the show will no longer feature famous faces promoting their projects because there won’t be enough staff to manage guests behind the scenes.

Instead, those high-profile bookings will now reportedly be prioritised for Lorraine and This Morning, leaving Loose Women to rely solely on its panel discussions of the day’s news and lifestyle topics.

“Not having guests is a big blow for both the presenters and viewers at home,” an insider revealed.

“The celebrity interviews are often one of the highlights of the show and bring a unique energy you don’t get on other programmes. It feels like a strange decision to cut them altogether.”

Behind the scenes, the panel – including long-serving stars like Nadia Sawalha, Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan – are said to be “deeply upset” by the changes.

Loose Women has already axed its live studio audience, a move that has left both the panel and crew heartbroken.

Nadia Sawalha admitted she was “totally devastated” at the loss of the audience and spoke out in support of her close friend and warm-up artist Lee Peart, who lost his job as a result.

“The audience is so important for the show,” Nadia said. “What a lot of people don’t realise is that we’re self-employed. Every contract is a new contract – I could be let go tomorrow or in five years. It’s brutal.”

She added: “Hundreds of people are going to be made redundant out of the blue. A lot of my friends and colleagues on this show and at ITV have been there for decades, and I can’t tell you how upsetting it was to see people walking around numb with shock and fear about what they were going to do.”

ITV bosses have blamed “insane inflation” and rising costs for the daytime cuts, which have also seen Lorraine halved to 30 minutes and reduced to term-time broadcasts.

In May, ITV confirmed that production of Good Morning Britain will shift to a dedicated team at ITV News, while Loose Women, Lorraine, and This Morning will merge behind-the-scenes teams to save costs.

But industry insiders warn that these measures will likely spell the end for Loose Women.

An ITV spokesperson said: “The Loose Women team is still working on the show and its content for next year.”

On screen, viewers will see huge changes to the daytime schedule. Lorraine is the worst hit. It will run for 30 weeks, not 50 weeks a year, and will be slashed from an hour to 30 minutes each day.

Loose Women will stay at the same running time but will also be cut to 30 weeks. This Morning will remain the same length and frequency.

The Loose Women panel, including Coleen Nolan, GK Barry and Frankie Bridge, are also expected to see shifts dwindle, especially those who live outside London and charge for travel and hotels. Glam squads are also expected to be axed with stars expected to use in-house make-up.

Meanwhile Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes, to run from 6am to 9.30am. For the 22 weeks of the year Lorraine is not airing, it will go on until 10am.

Speaking about the huge cuts, an insider recently told The Mirror: “It’s not a case of viewers seeing less of their shows… it’s impossible to see how the high standards will remain the same.

“Some staff believe Loose Women and Lorraine in particular will enter a death spiral… it’s just so sad. Just a handful of people will be working on each of those two programmes which has huge ramifications for how they are going forward.”

“A SLΛP in the face to W0MEN” – Nicola Thorp from ITV’s Lorraine outraged by Prime Minister Stɑrmer’s ACTIONS.

Lorraine contributor Nicola Thorp has slammed Prime Minister Keir Starmer after he stayed in Scotland with Donald Trump instead of meeting the Lionesses’ after their historic football win on Sunday.

Speaking to Christine Lampard and ITN entertainment correspondent Rishi Davda, Nicola took aim at the prime minister for failing to fly back to the UK to meet the victorious England team. Rishi said: “Sir Keir Starmer wasn’t there as he’s in Scotland with Donald Trump but he did FaceTime the Lionesses to congratulate them as you can see. He just looks utterly-”

However, he was interrupted by Nicola, who said: “Awful. Sorry – this is a big slap in the face to the women. What does it say to women?

“That our prime minister is going to go up to Scotland to meet Donald Trump, considering what Donald Trump thinks about women, rather than come and meet the Lionesses. I think it’s actually appalling. It’s not that difficult to fly from London to Scotland and back.”

As Christine pointed out that the prime minister called for a bank holiday in honour of the Lionesses’ win back in 2023 when the Tories were in power, Nicola said: “That’s another thing he’s reneged on but there we go.”

The England women’s team headed to Downing Street yesterday after their second consecutive with at the Euros, with fans cheering them on from the street. The St. George’s flags were out in full force at No. 10 as coach Sarina Wiegman and the team posed with the trophy outside, wearing their medals.

Staff welcomed the team into the Prime Minister’s Downing Street residence, where Deputy PM Angela Rayner and Sports Minister Stephanie Peacock hosted a celebratory garden party.

Despite the team’s win against Spain in Sunday evening’s final, FA chief Mark Bullingham remained coy after the long-term future of boss Sarina – who remains under contract for another two years.

“It’s a bit early for that,” he said when asked about potential contract talks. “We are delighted she is with us for the World Cup, and we will have that conversation at an appropriate time.

“She is an incredible manager, and we’re delighted to be working with her, so that has to be up to her. We will have those conversations when they’re ready to go.”

Emmerdale SH0CK: Mack and Aaron a couple? – BUT a H0RRIFYING SECRET could change Everything!

Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve figured out who Mackenzie Boyd, played by Lawrence Robb, will next be romantically involved with – and it’s an unexpected character.

Mack has been a mainstay in the ITV soap since 2020, playing a role in numerous significant storylines.

Currently, his wife Charity Dingle, portrayed by Emma Atkins, has recently proposed to act as a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden, played by Katie Hill.

As viewers will remember, Sarah has been eager to have a child due to her life-threatening condition of Fanconi anaemia.

However, following a cancer diagnosis and subsequent hysterectomy, Sarah is unable to bear children, leaving her heartbroken. In response, Charity suggested she could carry Sarah’s child, reports the Daily Star.

Charity’s proposal was initially kept from Mack, but he discovered the truth from village gossip Eric Pollard, played by Chris Chittell.

The revelation led to a heated argument between the couple, with Mack predicting disaster. Since then, Mack’s best mate Aaron Dingle, played by Danny Miller, has encouraged him to express his true feelings about the situation to Charity.

In Tuesday’s episode (July 29), Charity, overwhelmed by Sarah’s excessive care, insisted on some time alone, providing Mack with an opportunity to speak to her privately. However, once again, he refrained from revealing his true emotions.

Now, as a potential break up looms for Mack and Charity, fans have already ‘sussed out’ his next romantic interest.

“I actually feel sorry for Mack he deserves better than Charity,” one viewer expressed on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page. Another fan proposed Aaron Dingle: “I’ve always said Mack and Aaron should become an item.”

A third agreed: “Yes! Definitely.” Echoing their sentiments another penned: “Same here, it could happen.”

Welsh opera singer Wynne Evans has openly discussed how he was pushed “close to the edg3” following a scandal on Strictly Come Dancing. The 53 year old former Go Compare star has criticised the BBC’s hit dance show, accusing it of being “fundamentally flawed in its duty of care”.

His remarks come nearly a year after his stint on the popular dance competition, where he was paired with professional dancer Katya Jones for the 20th series.

However, in May, Evans announced that the BBC had severed ties with him and he would no longer host on BBC Radio Wales, following an apology for using “inappropriate language” during the launch of the Strictly tour.

He also shared his experience of seeking psychiatric help in the aftermath of the controversy. In a recent post, the tenor stated: “Tim Davie publicly promised that the BBC would safeguard people who took part in Strictly.

“I thought about that promise while sitting in a psychiatrist’s office near the BBC, staring out of the window at the BBC building, fighting to s2ve my own life. That’s how close I came to the edg3.”, reports The Mirror.

    Wynne evans

Wynne Evans says strictly is ‘not a safe environment’ as he blasts show in teary interview (Image: ITV)

He continued: “I’m not writing this as a victim, as I said I will own my mistakes. I’m writing it because the system is broken. Strictly is now fundamentally flawed in its duty of care. It’s allowed to continue because of ratings, while people’s wellbeing is left in tatters.”

Evans further accused the BBC of perpetuating a series of “lies and cover‐ups in order to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing”, describing this as the “hardest part” for him.

He remarked: “From my dealings right at the very top with (BBC director-general) Tim Davie, through BBC Wales and the HR department, one feeling has been constant: the only thing they truly care about is protecting themselves and their jobs and Ratings – people come second.

“When I first stepped into the rehearsal room at Strictly, I thought it would be a magical experience. And at the start, it was. But the very first thing I was told was: ‘Don’t trust anyone in this room – not even me.’”.

“That hit me hard. I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve, and while I may sometimes sail close to the line, there’s never malice in what I do. What I wasn’t prepared for was the way people will protect their personal and BBC brands, at any cost.”

In his statement, Evans also accused the HR department of fabricating evidence, stating they had “twisted facts, invented files and dates, and created a version of events that simply wasn’t true”.

He disclosed: “Statements were issued in my name that I hadn’t even seen, let alone agreed to. My voice was taken away.”

Previously, he had issued an apology following a Mail On Sunday report in January that claimed he made a s3xual joke aimed at fellow professional dancer Janette Manrara.

Later, in May, he clarified to the Sun that the remark made during the show’s tour was neither s3xual nor targeted at any female cast member, but was actually a nickname for fellow contestant, EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick.

The BBC has chosen not to comment on Evans’ allegations made via social media.

    Peter Kyle and Nigel Farage

Labour MP Peter Kyle is recieving backlash after his heated remarks against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday (29 July). The politician repeatedly criticised Farage’s opposition to the government’s Online Safety Act, which aims to protect children online.

During a media round, Kyle labelled Farage as being “on the side of people like Jimmy Savile” — a remark that sparked outrage. On BBC Breakfast, Kyle defended the legislation and doubled down on his criticism.

“We know that the vast majority of people who are turning to internet solutions to adhere to the age verification requirements… most Britons have been adapting to in a really efficient way,” he said.

Describing the act as “the biggest step forward in children’s online safety since the internet was created,” Kyle added: “Just prove your age, make the internet safer for children, make it a better experience for everyone, that’s surely what we should aspire to in this country.”

    Peter Kyle on BBC Breakfast

Peter slammed Farage’s plans to overturn The Online Safety Act (Image: BBC)

He then targeted Farage directly: “I say to people like Nigel Farage who want to turn the clock back and want to overturn these regulations… Every time he does this and says it, he makes children more and more exposed, more susceptible to dangerous content, he makes them more vulnerable.”

BBC presenter Jon Kay did not challenge Kyle’s claims about Farage, instead replying: “We’ll talk to Nigel Farage about his policies and speak to him about those,” before moving the discussion onto VPN sales and the effectiveness of the age verification system.

The interview sparked criticism on social media, with many accusing BBC Breakfast of failing to hold Kyle accountable. One user wrote: “@peterkyle is making serious allegations on the @BBCBreakfast channel and you’re foolish enough to share that… think you’ve shown your colours enough, don’t you.”

Another said: “You let Peter Kyle off the hook using totally flawed logic… claiming voluntary adult compliance ensures child protection is pure fiction.”

Some called Kyle’s attck on Farage “disgraceful” and “scurrilous,” while others accused the BBC of bias. One comment read: “What a disgrace he is, and you are as organisation for letting him spew this s**t. 100,000s of men died for the right to speak freely… what you’re doing now disgraces them.”

However, Kyle defended his words on GB News, calling Farage’s views “grossly offensive” and warning: “If he gets into power, he will overturn that act, and he will make it easier for pr3dators and pa3d0philes to have access to children.”

Farage later demanded an apology from Kyle on social media, condemning his “disgusting” language. Kyle responded bluntly: “If you want to overturn the Online Safety Act, you are on the side of pr3dators. It is as simple as that.”

The Online Safety Act remains a controversial issue, with Farage pledging to repeal it if he reaches Downing Street.

BBC’s beloved talk show, The One Show, returned to screens for Tuesday’s (July 29) installment, fronted by its presenters Alex Jones and musician JB Gill. The duo was joined by some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Luis Guzman and Catherine Zeta-Jones, as well as actress Diane Morgan and football icon Alex Scott.

However, as the Legend of Zorro icon discussed her role in Netflix’s second season of Wednesday, many viewers were left distracted by her appearance. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one penned: “I read people talking about CZJ, but didn’t realise she was on the screen until she spoke.” As another surprised fan remarked: “Catherine zeta jones looks unreal.”

One pointed out the uncanny resemblance with her Wednesday character and highlighted: “Catherine Zeta Jones is morphing into Morticia Addams.”

Meanwhile a fourth commented on her inflection and added: “Nice to hear Catherine Zeta Jones hasn’t lost that Welsh accent.#TheOneShow.”

Although fans will see many of the original cast members returning to the fictional world of the Addams Family, the upcoming season, which airs in August, will debut with many new additions, including Joanna Lumley.

Joanna will be playing Grandmama Hester Frump, Morticia Addams’ mother, whom Catherine admitted she was initially hesitant to work with.

Speaking to Alex, the actress confessed: “You have no idea! On an international level Dame Joanna is admired, revered. But for me, being a Brit being a Welsh girl like you Alex, for me it was like, my Queen.

“I’d never met her, I’d never worked with her, and there was a time where I thought, ‘Maybe I shouldn’t’. Because I’d be devastated if she’s not the kind of woman or artist you know, sharing as an actor. She was everything and more.”

This was one of Catherine’s many proud nods to her Welsh roots during her time on the show, as fellow guest Diane gave a shoutout to her mum and shouted: “Hello Gwen!”

After noticing the name, the Ocean’s Twelve star noted it was a “lovely Welsh name.”

As they were also joined by Alex Scott, the guests also discussed the Lionesses’ big win at the Women’s Euros final, to which Catherine recognised the importance of Wales making it as far as they did.

She said: “It was great for Wales to get in there”, adding that it was “inspirational”.

King Charles is allegedly “very concerned” that US President Donald Trvmp  could launch into a massive rant about immigration during his second state visit to the UK in September, a source has claimed. It comes shortly after the US president sent Prime Minister Keir Starmer “advice” about the ongoing small boat crisis.

While on a private visit to Scotland, Mr Trvmp  warned the Prime Minister that those coming across on dinghies are “bad people”, but praised efforts to end crossings. Meanwhile, after arriving in Scotland on Friday, the US politician made headlines after he declared that illegal migration is a “horrible invas1on” that is “KL Europe”.

Now, civil servants have issued warnings that he could break protocol and make politicised comments during his visit to England in a few weeks.

A source who is close to the King told the Daily Beast: “Charles has spent his entire life promoting tolerance and compassion.

“He will be appalled by what Trvmp  said on Friday, which seems to be entirely driven by his domestic agenda, and will be very concerned about the possibility of a repeat of Trvmp ’s outburst in September.”

They added that aides fear the US president might give an impromptu interview to the media with political statements, which could put the monarch in a difficult position.

They said: “If Trvmp  starts sounding off about the evils of immigration to the cameras while the King is standing next to him, the King would find that hard to take.”

The news that Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have separated after 13 years of marriage has quietly stirred emotions across the broadcasting world. Among those seemingly most affected is Ben Shephard, her co-host on This Morning.

Without making any public statement, Ben’s demeanor reflected a silent sense of sadness, suggesting genuine empathy for his colleague — someone continuing to show up professionally despite deep personal change. As a longtime presenter himself, Ben likely understands how hard it can be to keep private life separate from the public stage.

They said in a joint statement: “We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

“We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected.

“There will be no further comment.”

Once considered one of the entertainment world’s most enduring couples, Cat and Patrick first met while filming Fame Academy in the early 2000s.

Although their friendship developed over the years, they only began dating later, eventually tying the knot in a private ceremony in Rome.

Cat, who spent more than a decade hosting So You Think You Can Dance in the U.S., continued to juggle work across both sides of the Atlantic.

Speculation about their relationship emerged earlier this year when Cat was absent from Patrick’s mother Mary’s funeral in February.

The This Morning presenter was notably missing from the occasion in Dundrum, Ireland, where Patrick – host of RTE’s Late Late Show – was pictured carrying his mother’s coffin.

A spokesman for Cat told the Mail at the time: “Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.”

Cat and Patrick have two sons – Milo, eight, and James, five.

This Morning’s Cat Deeley reveals her REAL name as she’s reunited with her old teacher live on air
The presenter carried out school drop-offs and pick-ups either side of hosting This Morning alongside Ben Shephard.

Cat previously told how Patrick wooed her by flying all the way from Ireland to LA — just for a brunch.

She said the gesture “knocked my socks off” after the comedian decided to step up their long-term friendship and make a romantic move.

Cat recalled: “It was my birthday and he’d rung me, he was at a pub in Ireland and he’d rung me from the pub.

“Bear in mind it was probably about 2 o’clock in the morning because they’d had a lock-in.”

Cat told him she was having a birthday brunch at Beverly Hills Hotel, to which he said: “I’ll see you there!”

She continued: “He went home, set his alarm for five, got up, went to the airport, flew from Belfast to London, then jumped on the first plane from London to LA, got in a cab, told the cabbie on his way from the airport what he was doing, and the driver was literally like ‘do you want me to wait for you?!’”

The pair first went public with their romance when they walked the red carpet together for Glamour’s Women of the Year awards in 2011.

In an interview on This Morning, Patrick revealed he had “no regrets” about taking so long to romance Cat.

Speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, he said things happened exactly as they should: “If we had got together at the start, we could have got on one another’s nerves. All things came at the right time.”

In 2020, Cat said that she moved back to the UK from California after a “terrifying” mall sht1ng left Patrick and their son “shaken”.

In an interview with You magazine, Cat said Patrick and Milo were shopping in the Century City Mall in Los Angeles when FBI agents announced there was a sht3r on the loose.

She said: “I got a call from Paddy, saying, ‘They’re taking us out through the fire exits but nobody can get to their car. If we walk to a junction, can you come and get us?’

“He wanted to keep Milo calm, so I didn’t understand the enormity of what was happening. As I was driving I began to see helicopters, news vans, firemen and SWAT [armed police response] squads.

“It makes me go funny now. It was terrifying… Paddy was shaken by it, more than Milo, who was hot and cranky but didn’t properly understand.”

SHEINELLE Jones has pushed her book’s release date back for a second time, The U.S. Sun has learned.

The Today host’s book Through Mom’s Eyes will now be officially released on February 10, 2026, according to publisher Penguin Random House.

The book’s original release date was April 15, 2025, but then was quietly moved to October 21.

However, now fans can’t get their hands on it until next year.

It is unclear if the literary postponement signals a delay in her return to Today, where she has not appeared since December.

    COPING WITH TRAGEDY

The time off is understandable, as Sheinelle, 47, has been mourning the tragic d3ath of her husband, Uche Ojeh at just 45.

On May 23, Sheinelle’s Today co-workers tearfully announced her husband of 17 years had d13d following a brave, private battle with brain cnc3r.

“With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh, the husband of our friend and Today co-host Sheinelle Jones, has passed away after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cnc3r called glioblastoma,” Savannah Guthrie told viewers.

“There are no words for the pain we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children.

“Uche was an incredible person. We all loved him.”

Sheinelle and Uche share son Kayin, 15, and twins Clara and Uche, 12.

Sheinelle, who quietly stepped away from work to deal with a “family health matter” around the holidays, broke her silence to thank her colleagues for their support.

“Thank you, for all of your love and support,” she wrote on Instagram after reposting the Today announcement.

Since then, she has remained away from public life to mourn the tragedy.

But Today staffers have said Sheinelle plans to return to her job when the time is right.

“One of us on the team talks to her every single day, and we’re there to support her,” Dylan Dreyer said in May.

“We’ll welcome her back with open arms the second she can get back to us.”

A source previously told The U.S. Sun that execs are planning to promote Sheinelle to Jenna Bush Hager’s official co-host on the show’s fourth hour.

“They need someone who can throw to break, someone who knows the craft of making TV work, and Sheinelle is a pro,” the source explained.

Upon her return to work, Sheinelle will promote her first book, which will “combine insights from celebrity mothers with her own journey through modern parenting,” her publisher has said.

For her book, Sheinelle interviewed the mothers of Lady Gaga, Jessica Simpson, The Jonas Brothers, Venus and Serena Williams, and more celebrities.
