SH0CKWAVES at ABC: Michael Strahan Under Investigation for RULE BREACH – Tensions Boiling Behind the Scenes!

Michael Strahan Speaks Out After Daughter's Cancer Diagnosis

Michael Strahan, a staple of ABC’s Good Morning America, is facing scrutiny from network executives after reports surfaced that he quietly partnered with a fitness brand for a multi-million-dollar endorsement—without prior disclosure to ABC News.

According to insiders, Strahan has been collaborating with STRV8, a high-end performance wear label, since early June. The issue? The deal allegedly bypassed the network’s strict guidelines on outside commercial affiliations for on-air talent.

“ABC was blindsided,” a source revealed. “He’s under contract, and they expect transparency—especially for anything that could be seen as a conflict of interest.”

The controversy ignited when STRV8’s Instagram posted a behind-the-scenes video featuring Strahan wearing branded gear inside ABC studios—footage believed to have been filmed during GMA rehearsals. The post has since been deleted.

Strahan’s reps insist there was “no breach of contract,” calling it a “misunderstanding about the scope of the brand exposure.” However, internal sources say ABC’s legal team has launched a review, and tensions are rising behind the scenes.

While Strahan has not publicly commented, the incident adds new pressure to a host already juggling personal and professional challenges. Whether it leads to disciplinary action remains to be seen.

Michael Strahan's daughter Isabella shares life-changing cancer journey in ABC special - ABC7 Los AngelesFor years, Michael Strahan has been one of the most recognizable faces on Good Morning America—charming millions every morning with his warm presence. But behind the scenes, the former NFL star has been navigating one of the toughest chapters of his personal life: his daughter Isabella’s battle with brain cncr.

In an emotional Instagram post earlier this month, Strahan shared a photo of Isabella in a hospital gown, captioned: “The strongest person I know. I’m in awe of your courage every day.” The 19-year-old recently completed another round of chemotherapy, and Strahan has quietly adjusted his GMA schedule to prioritize family time.

Sources close to the anchor describe his mood at work as “quieter, more focused,” and co-host Robin Roberts reportedly teared up when Strahan opened up about Isabella during an off-air moment.

While Strahan has not spoken extensively on-air about the ordeal, viewers have noticed his recent absences—and now, many understand why. “He’s showing the world what true strength looks like,” one fan commented.

Through this deeply personal experience, Michael Strahan continues to inspire—not with headlines, but with quiet resilience and unwavering love for his family.

BREAKING: Michael Strahan’s special new GMA contract revealed!

Michael Strahan announced as guest shark on 'Shark Tank' season 17 - ABC News

ABC appears to be keeping its flagship morning show team together, at least for the moment.

Earlier this year, NewsNation reported that Good Morning America host Michael Strahan was likely to leave ABC when his contract wrapped up. The story was the result of widespread rumors within the television news industry as the former NFL star has mulled his future with the network. But Strahan is now expected to sign a new deal and stay at the network, Semafor has learned, though one person familiar with the situation cautioned that the situation remained formally unresolved.

An agreement with Strahan would, however, likely represent a reduction in his daily hosting duties. Strahan’s new deal is likely not going to be a longterm contract, and could see him regularly hosting less than five days a week. In recent years, the former NFL star has increasingly hosted fewer than five days a week in order to accommodate his NFL coverage duties with Fox and spending time with family.

ABC declined to comment. A representative for Strahan did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Strahan is just the latest major television personality to explore a shorter contract arrangement and step back from some daily duties while remaining on the air regularly enough to attract viewers.

In 2021, MSNBC ratings juggernaut Rachel Maddow stepped back from her show into an arrangement where she would only appear once a week. In his return to Comedy Central last year, Daily Show host Jon Stewart also agreed to appear just once a week and initially only agreed to hosting for a few months before extending the deal after the presidential election.

But while television network executives of generations past would have scoffed at these arrangements, the rapid decline of linear television viewership and simultaneous migration of news viewers to YouTube and podcasts has put pressure on the networks to compromise for well-liked talent who many viewers have habitually tuned into for years. The networks have overwhelmingly found that releasing expensive talent and replacing them with lesser-known, cheaper hosts has resulted in permanently declining ratings almost everywhere outside Fox News.

Television ratings for Stewart’s Monday appearances have increased The Daily Show’s ratings and bolstered its YouTube presence, with viral clips released weekly and downloads of Stewart’s podcast, which is also produced by Comedy Central parent company Paramount, spiking.

Similarly, Maddow’s appearances on Monday and during important election evening broadcasts have also improved MSNBC’s ratings, though they have proved a difficult act to follow for other hosts attempting to step into the Tuesday-Friday role.

As a fitness enthusiast, DeMarco often shares photos of his gym workouts and bike trips on Instagram.

He normally wears T-shirts or tank tops and a pair of shorts for his active outings.

ABC News executives are allegedly unhappy with a series of photos he shared last month as they believe he took his outfit a bit too far, The Post reports.

DeMarco wore a green zip-up top and a pair of matching skintight bike shorts, along with tall white socks and sneakers.

He had on a helmet as he leaned against his bike and smiled for a few Santa Monica-set snaps.

The alleged issue with the pictures are the tight bike shorts DeMarco wore in the photos, which revealed his bulge.

Fans immediately commented on the racy snaps and joked that the GMA3 host was teasing them.

“Shots like this should be outlawed because I damn sure zoomed in,” one fan wrote.

“Sir, we can see your— NVM, great pics,” a second fan commented.

“Mr. D, stop teasing us women,” said a third follower.

“I definitely zoomed in…this man FINE fine,” admitted another fan in the comments section.

ABC News higher-ups reportedly don’t think the photos fit with their parent company Disney’s family-friendly image.

    TROUBLE AT WORK?

“Executives at the highest levels of ABC have flagged the photos internally,” a source told the outlet. “It leaves very little to the imagination.”

Discussions are allegedly underway on whether or not to ask DeMarco to take down the photos.

According to TMZ, his colleagues suggested he delete the photos, but he decided against it as he reportedly feels the whole situation has been blown out of proportion.

DeMarco was hired by former ABC News president Kim Godwin, who quit earlier this month.

Her boss Debra OConnell is reportedly working on “cleaning up” after Kim’s missteps, including how she handles TJ and Amy’s relationship scandal and Rob Marciano’s recent firing.

    BEHIND-THE-SCENES CHANGES

The GMA3 anchors were allowed to the show after their affair in late 2022, but they were suspended just a few weeks later and eventually fired.

DeMarco and his co-star Eva Pilgrim were officially hired as their replacements in May 2023.

He was allowed to conduct reports for both GMA and World News Tonight, but after new complaints about his behavior, he was fired last month.

abcnews.go.com/us/demarc...GMA3 host DeMarco Morgan is leaving ABC’s daytime talk show platform.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic informed staff Monday that Morgan, who hosts the third hour of Good Morning America, “has decided to being a new journey and will be departing ABC News.”

“His devotion to journalism and sharing with others is evident in everything he touches,” the memo stated. “We thank him for his kindness and many contributions, wish him well, and look forward to celebrating his next chapter soon.”

Eva Pilgrim is also leaving ‘GMA3’

Eva Pilgrim, who had co-hosted with Morgan, is also no longer a part of GMA3; she was recently announced as the new anchor of the syndicated news magazine Inside Edition. With the two hosts no longer a part of the third hour, ABC will have to yet again figure out how to capture viewers.

Morgan and Pilgrim originally came to the show to replace T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, who left the show amid scandal after their affair went public. Previously, the series was hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines in 2018.

    What’s next for ‘GMA3’?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, ABC News is planning a revamping of GMA3 with Pilgrim and Morgan gone.

As The Wrap reported, “A source said that the change in anchors does not come as a surprise at GMA3, and the move was the conclusion of a weeks-long evolution of the show. Back in March, the show faced layoffs alongside other programs at ABC News. They were then placed under the leadership of “GMA” executive producer Simone Swink. A rotating panel of hosts has led “GMA3” programs in recent weeks, more closely resembling the overall GMA brand GMA3 has been folded into. A source told TheWrap this format for the show will continue.”

BREAKING SH0CK NEWS: ABC “AXES” GMA3 – Rumors swirl about REPLACING GMA’s entire main anchor team (Michael Strahan, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos) amid restructuring and cost-cutting, leaving viewers stunned!

ABC News has confirmed that DeMarco Morgan and Eva Pilgrim are leaving their roles as co-anchors of “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” marking another change in the show’s lineup as part of ongoing internal restructuring.

Pilgrim will succeed Deborah Norville as host of “Inside Edition.” According to a staff memo from ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic, Morgan has decided to depart for an undisclosed new opportunity.

‘Inside Edition’ names Eva Pilgrim as next anchor

In the short term, “GMA3” will continue with rotating hosts drawn from the broader “Good Morning America” roster, according to reporting from Deadline. Recent substitute hosts have included Lara Spencer, Will Reeve, Gio Benitez, Sam Champion, Rachel Scott and James Longman.

Karamehmedovic previously announced a restructuring plan in 2024 that included the departure of former “GMA3” executive producer Cat McKenzie. Simone Swink, the executive producer of “Good Morning America”, took over supervisory responsibilities for the hour.

“GMA3” has undergone several rebrands and personnel changes since its launch in 2018 as “GMA Day”.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the show was retitled “Pandemic: What You Need to Know” with a focus on health and safety coverage. The program later adopted its current title, “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” which is sometimes shortened to “WYNTK.”

Morgan and Pilgrim joined the show in 2023, alongside Jennifer Ashton, after the departure of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. Ashton left ABC News in 2024.

Branding-wise, the network previously began removing references to the “What You Need to Know,” including when it debuted new graphics earlier in the summer of 2025. The phrase “What You Need to Know” is incorporated into scripts.

It remains the show’s official title for TV listing and ratings purposes, however.

SH0CK – Carson Daly’s Past EXPOSED live on Today, leaves viewers Stunned!

Carson Daly shares cryptic message about 'doing what feels wrong' as he remains absent from Today show | The US Sun

Carson Daly’s Today co-hosts aren’t going to let him live down his romantic past.

One late ‘90s relationship came up on Tuesday, July 15, during Daly’s Pop Start segment on Today. As he was discussing the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise, which stars Daly’s ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Daly’s co-hosts couldn’t help but tease him.

When Daly showed a photo of costars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. posing together on the red carpet in 2025 and the original red carpet in 1997, Savannah Guthrie quickly chimed in.

“Were you at that premiere?” Guthrie asked, while Jenna Bush Hager repeated the question, asking, “ Did you go to that premiere?”

Daly played it coy, replying, “I’m not sure. I can’t remember 30 years ago.”

But Guthrie was quick to declare, “We know what you did that summer.”

Daly laughed off the comments, saying, “Yeah, I’ve heard the jokes. I’m aware.”

Guthrie urged viewers to “Google it” as Daly called his co-hosts a “tough crowd.”

Daly and Love Hewitt dated for about a year in the late ’90s. And while he didn’t attend the original 1997 premiere, Daly was by his ex’s side for the premiere of 1998’s I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

During Tuesday’s broadcast, Daly didn’t mention Hewitt’s appearance at the I Know What You Did Last Summer premiere alongside Prinze Jr. and Gellar.

This isn’t the first time Guthrie and Bush Hager have teased Daly about his celebrity dating past. In May, the pair poked fun at Daly while discussing the viral TikTok prank “I’m so hungry, I could eat…” — a game in which the participant then names a person their fellow player may find uncomfortable discussing.

“I’m so hungry I could eat a Jennifer Love Hewitt,” Bush Hager teased at the time.

Daly has been married to Siri Pinter since 2015. The couple shares son Jackson and daughters Etta, London and Goldie.

He’s been on amicable terms with Love Hewitt for years after the actress appeared on his talk show Last Call with Carson Daly in 2005. At the time, he showed his ex the tattoo coverup he did to hide her name, which he had inked on his ankle.

He jokingly asked Love Hewitt if it was hard for her to not have a steady boyfriend after their split.

“You know, it has been difficult to recover,” she quipped at the time.

Daly added that their romance “ended a little weird,” and Love Hewitt agreed, adding, “It did, but that doesn’t matter.”

Dylan Dreyer | Surprised my dad for his 80th by flying in my brothers! Lots of family time and so…many…boys!!!! Happy birthday to the best dad in the world!! | Instagram

Dylan Dreyer and Brian Fichera are calling it quits.

On July 18, the Today meteorologist announced her separation from Fichera on Instagram.

“For many years, I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between,” Dreyer wrote. “I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate.”

She continued, “We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends. Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another.”

The pair began dating while working at the same Boston news station and married in 2012, the same year Dreyer began working as a co-anchor for Weekend Today. After making a move from Boston to New York together, they became parents to three boys: Calvin Bradley, Oliver George and Russell James.

Dreyer now serves as the co-anchor of Today‘s third hour, while Fichera is a producer and freelance cameraman for NBC News.

So, who is Dylan Dreyer’s estranged husband? Here’s everything to know about Brian Fichera and his split from the Today meteorologist.

    He is a producer

Fichera grew up in Easton, Mass., about an hour outside of Boston. He works for NBC News as a producer and freelance cameraman.

Dreyer and Fichera met at work

The pair met during the morning shift at NBC’s Boston affiliate station, WHDH. At the time, Dreyer was working there as a meteorologist, and Fichera was an in-studio technician.

He proposed to Dreyer in 2011

In July 2011, Fichera popped the question on the front porch of his parents’ house in Easton. “When I saw there were roses and two glasses of champagne, I knew,’’ she told Boston.com.

After he proposed, the pair walked through the house, where their friends and family were waiting in the backyard to celebrate their engagement.

Dreyer and Fichera married in 2012

Dreyer and Fichera married at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston on Oct. 6, 2012, one month after she began working as a co-anchor on Weekend Today. While the couple enjoyed their entire special day, their first dance stood out as a particularly special memory.

“At the end of our wedding the DJ asked Brian what song to play last. Brian just randomly said ‘Viva La Vida’ by Coldplay,” she recalled to PEOPLE.

Dreyer added, “We have no connection to the song but it was absolutely perfect. I tied up my long dress and he just spun me around the dance floor.”

He shares three children with Dreyer

On Dec. 17, 2016, Fichera and Dreyer welcomed their first son, Calvin Bradley.

After experiencing a miscarriage and secondary infertility, the couple announced in July 2019 they were expanding their family once again. Dreyer revealed the news exclusively to PEOPLE while in her second trimester and “past the point of worrying much about miscarriage” since their genetic testing “went well.”

“[The baby] continues to grow healthy and strong each day,” the star said of her little one on the way. “I’m so excited for Calvin to have a little [sibling]; he sort of understands what’s going on but when you ask him about the baby, he says he wants to pet it. So we’ll see!”

Oliver George arrived on Jan. 2, 2020. “All I do is stare at him,” the new mother of two said during her Today call-in after his arrival. “I just want to kiss him every second. And he’s got a ton of hair.”

In May 2021, she shared on an episode of Today that baby number three would be arriving that fall. Her trio of boys was complete when baby Russell James was born six weeks early on Sept. 29, 2021.

During a virtual appearance on Today after his birth, she shared that the newborn’s nickname would be Rusty and shared the special meaning behind his name — Russell is Fichera’s dad’s name, and James is her own father’s name.

“We finally worked in a family connection. Both our dads started crying when we told them,” she shared. “It’s just been really special. I can’t believe I was going to have to wait until November to meet him, and he’s here and healthy.”

Dreyer announced her split from Fichera in July 2025

After 12 years of marriage, Dreyer announced her separation from Fichera in a July 18 post on Instagram.

“Dylan and Brian remain best friends, and they are committed to coparenting and putting their three children first,” a source later told PEOPLE.

BREAKING: TODAY Show Veteran Hoda Kotb BREAKS SILENCE – reveals Future Plans amid Kelly Clarkson REPLACEMENT Rumors!

Hoda Kotb Shares Why She Walked Away From The Today Show

Hoda Kotb is in it to win it!

After the retired Today co-host was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award alongside her former co-host Jenna Bush Hager as the hosts of their show, Today with Hoda & Jenna, Kotb is hoping to bring home the former team’s first win.

On Monday, July 14, Bush Hager and her guest co-host Ciara FaceTimed with Kotb to celebrate the news. Bush Hager, 43, joked that she and Kotb felt like “the Susan Lucci of Daytime Emmy hosts,” referencing the actress’ numerous Daytime Emmy nominations.

“We’ve been nominated multiple times and yet we’ve never won, but to get to be nominated next to Hoda after the show is complete after we had our year together, our last year — which I know was really meaningful to me and I’m pretty sure it was meaningful for her,” Bush Hager explained.

Kotb stepped away from the Today show and Today with Hoda & Jenna in mid-January to spend more time with her daughters Haley and Hope, as well as focus on her new wellness app Joy 101. The former co-hosts are currently up against fellow daytime hosts Drew Barrymore, Kelly Clarkson, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa, and Jennifer Hudson.

Calling into Today with Jenna & Friends on Monday, Kotb cheered about the nomination.

“Let’s go! Come on!” she called out.

Bush Hager seemed optimistic about their chances, telling Kotb, “Hoda, listen, we’ve never won one, but this could be our year. The last time’s the charm.”

“Let me tell you something, this is our last hurrah,” Kotb assured Bush Hager. “This is happening. Kelly Clarkson, who is what I’d like to say. No, I’m kidding. We love Kelly so much. We love her. But it’s our turn. As I’ve said to Jenna, we’re gonna go get her. G-I-T E-R.”

Clarkson has won Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host every year since 2020. Coincidentally, it was briefly rumored that Kotb intended to replace Clarkson on her talk show after her Today exit.

Kotb previously shut down the rumors while speaking to her former Today co-hosts in May, saying, “Do y’all think — I want to ask y’all a real question — do you think if I ever came back to TV, do you know where the only place I would ever come back to is?”

“Right here. This is the spot,” she insisted, shutting the rumors down, adding, “Delete, not true.”

She later changed her tune slightly on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, telling a fan, “I feel like Kelly is in a class all by herself. My whole thing with talk shows and all that stuff, I’m a never-say-never person.”

However, Kotb has no intention of campaigning against Clarkson for the Emmy win this year.

“You know the whole law of attraction,” she told Bush Hager. “Don’t chase him. No one runs for a bus they’re already on.”

“Hopefully we’ll be in our little sequin outfits whenever the Emmy comes up,” Bush Hager noted.

And Kotb wasn’t the only surprise cameo on Monday’s show. She also introduced her new cavapoo puppy, Waffles.

“I am so in love with this dog,” the single mom gushed while cuddling up to the dog.

“Hoda, I hate to say this, but you know how they say when dogs kind of look like their owners?” Bush Hager quipped as Kotb cracked up. “That dog has the same hair color as you.”

“We’re twinning! We are totally twinning,” Kotb gushed. “She’s the best, you guys.”

Al Roker thought it was just a harmless joke in the middle of a busy morning. But he froze when Dylan Dreyer herself confirmed that her 13-year marriage had come to an end. Amid the tears came a heartbreaking moment: her eldest son looked up at her and innocently asked, “Where is daddy going, mommy?”—a simple question that struck like a dagger, silencing the entire studio.
