SATURDAY Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt is expected to be the new host of MasterChef.

And the Sun understands Tebbutt, 51, could be joined by fellow Beeb chef Andi Oliver, 62, who presents Great British Menu.

It would debunk claims that the BBC cooking show is to be fronted by two women after the sacking of Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Tebbutt and Oliver would be part of a “dream line-up”, with columnist and broadcaster Grace Dent on the celebrity version.

A source said: “Matt is seen as a really safe pair of hands by the BBC. He has been in the frame for some time and is now being lined up for MasterChef.

“The BBC are keen to bring Andi Oliver on board too. She has been so popular as host of the Great British Menu.

“They’re not sure if she can commit at this stage because of her schedule with that show but everyone is hoping they can get her on board.”

The source added: “Everyone loves Andi and she would be perfect for the role in many ways.

“She is very talented on her own merit but she would also help bring a more diverse look for the show, which is much needed.

“The last thing the show wants is to be slapped with being ‘pale, and stale’ by a new generation of food lovers.”

Dent, 51, brought in to host the upcoming Celebrity MasterChef with Torode, is expected to remain as the host of the spin-off with Tebbutt

Our insider added: “Grace was brilliant on the celebrity spin-off.

John Torode sacked by BBC after being accused of using N-word while singing along to Kanye West song Gold Digger
“Nothing is set in stone yet but this is the dream line-up they’re hoping for.”

Wallace, 60, was sacked after an investigation found 45 out of 38 allegations about his behaviour were substantiated.

One was of “unwelcome physical contact,” and others included “inappropriate language”.

Torode, 59, was told the BBC were not renewing his contract this week.

The Sun yesterday revealed he had been accused of using the N-word twice, once when he was allegedly repeating the lyrics to rapper Kanye West’s Gold Digger.

The other was claimed to have happened during a conversation with a pal on the BBC show’s production team.

Torode vehemently denies ever using the N-word.

“I’ve been trying all these years” – Prue Leith officially speaks up about her future with The Great British Bake Off, leaving fans in Tears!

Dame Prue Leith has addressed the rumours that she is going to quit The Great British Bake Off. The renowned TV chef, replaced Dame Mary Berry as a judge on the TV favourite when it moved to Channel 4 in 2017, and has been seen alongside Paul Hollywood ever since.

She has also gone on to host Prue Leith’s Cotswolds Kitchen for ITV and last year appeared on The Masked Singer. But, earlier this year, she did not appear on the celebrity edition of Bake Off so fans are always asking her if she has quit for good.

But that is not the case, and during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, she told viewers that she only stopped appearing the celebrity version because she needed a break, explaining: “I keep being asked if I’m leaving. This is because I left the celebrity [version]. I stopped doing that last year because I just hadn’t had a holiday in the summer for eight years. I’ve only given up Celebrity [Bake Off].”

The TV favourite is currently busy filming the American version of the baking show, and confirmed that she is still very much a part of the original programme. She said: “I still do The Great American Bake Off, which we are filming at the moment, and I still do The Great British Bake Off, which I love, and is the mother of them all.”

Prue, who was replaced by Caroline Waldegrave as a judge on the latest series of the Stand Up 2 Cancer specials, has no intention of leaving the regular version of the programme, adding: “It’s the best job in telly. It’s absolutely the best job in telly, I don’t have to learn lines, I don’t have to have script. I just walk on and eat cake.”

The star was also quick to heap praise on the addition of Alison Hammond as presenter, who replaced Matt Lucas in 2023 and now carries out hosting duties with Noel Fielding. Noting that the Big Brother legend has had a big impact on the team, she said: “I think Alison has made a huge difference to the team, she gets on so well with Noel with all of us. She’s so loving and the bakers adore her, she’s like Big Mama!”

It was reported earlier this year that Prue had chosen to step back from her duties on the show to relish some well-deserved rest. And at the time, she disclosed: “It’s mainly because these things are filmed back to back.”

She went on to say: “The whole way through the summer, so you start in April and you end at the end of August. Honestly, you get no time off. And, I’m getting a bit old and there’s places I want to go.”

But her replacement is no newbie to the small screen, as Caroline has graced programmes like Chef School, Masterchef, and Tricks of the Trade, and she has also penned several cookbooks. As The Great Celebrity Bake Off gears up for its latest season this weekend, Lady Waldegrave shared her thoughts on succeeding Dame Prue Leith as a judge. She confessed: “I was completely terrified.”

BREAKING SH0CK NEWS – “WINDS SHIFT” – refusing settlement, John Torode DECIDES to STR1KE BΛCK at the BBC.

BBC star Richard Osman has broken his silence on John Torode’s MasterChef exit, claiming that he was given the option to stay on the show by the BBC under one condition. Earlier this week, John Torode was fired from MasterChef after an allegation of him using “an extremely offensive rac1st term” was upheld.

The TV presenter said in a statement that he had “no recollection” of it happening and that he only found out that his contract had been terminated after the BBC and production company Banijay put out the news. Now, Richard Osman – who was a creative director at Banijay’s Endemol Shine – has shared his insight into the situation, claiming that the show had asked the TV presenter to do a training course and take a year off from the show after the allegation was upheld.

Speaking on his podcast, The Rest is Entertainment, Richard explained: “They took John Torode aside, this was my understanding of the whole situation, and said: ‘We believe that this happened. We believe that you used this language.’ He denied it.

‘I asked to move away from obese woman on plane and her reaction was so awkward’

Influencer dad throws his screaming son, 7, off cliff to ‘teach him a lesson’

“They said to him – whether this was the BBC or Banijay – they said to him, ‘We will accept if you want to take a year off, you have to do a mandatory training course to understand and accept that this is not something we particularly want in our workplace.’

“That was denied. He said, ‘Of course I’m not going to do that. I didn’t do this in the first place anyway so why would I ever do this?’”

He added that the show then decided to let John go. “John Torode said, ‘The first I knew about it was I read it in the papers.’ And my understanding is that’s not true – the first thing he knew about it was when he was told it,” Richard added.

Richard went onto claim that while John had claimed that the BBC asked him to resign and blame his mental health, the “only conversation” had was asking him to do a training course.

Richard explained: “The only conversation was, ‘We believe this happened. We will give you a second chance, a lifeline, which is you take a year, you take a series off, you go and do something, talk to people who maybe persuade you that this is not the way to act in a certain workplace.’ And he said that he was not prepared to do that.”

Richard later alleged that there were further claims that weren’t upheld. “And by the way, there’s all sorts of things that weren’t upheld because they couldn’t say for certain they believed it happened. But, you know, on this particular occasion, it’s not woke gone mad,” Richard said.

“You know, he used, I think, probably the worst racial slur there is. And they found that to be substantively true. They found evidence that they were happy with — that that was true.

“He is saying, ‘I definitely didn’t do it. I certainly can’t remember it,’ but that one was upheld.”

The Mirror has reached out to John Torode’s representation for comment. Banijay declined to comment.

John Torode is now planning to take legal action against the BBC over his sacking, a source told The Mirror yesterday. “He wants to pursue them for unfair dismissal. He’s telling people there is no proof of his supposed comment. It was not in a work capacity, it was just hearsay. John is determined to clear his name,” they said.

BREAKING: John Torode announces Bitter EXIT from TV – Hints at a Dark Future ahead!

Durham County Council has confirmed that John Torode has withdrawn from the Seaham Food Festival.

The celebrity chef and former MasterChef host was scheduled to be the star attraction at the council-run event on August 2 and 3.

John was expected to dazzle festival-goers in the cookery theatre with his culinary expertise. Despite his absence, Dean Edwards, Chris Baber, Nelly Ghaffar and other renowned chefs will still join over 120 traders in the seaside town for the weekend’s festivities.

A representative from Durham County Council stated: “We appreciate this has been a difficult time for John and, as a result, he has decided to take some time out. He will, therefore, not be appearing at this year’s Seaham Food Festival.”

This announcement follows the BBC and MasterChef production company Banijay’s decision not to renew Torode’s contract amid allegations of him using “highly offensive rac1st language” back in 2018.

John has refuted the claim, asserting that he does not remember such an incident occurring.

The allegation surfaced during an independent probe conducted by the legal firm Lewis Silkin, which had previously substantiated 45 complaints against John’s co-presenter Gregg Wallace, reports Chronicle Live.

John took to Instagram on Tuesday to address rumours of his departure from MasterChef, claiming the BBC and Banijay had left him in the dark.

The celebrity chef expressed his confusion, posting: “Although I haven’t heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay – I am seeing and reading that I’ve been ‘sΛcked’ from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I’m accused of. The enquiry could not even state the date or year of when I am meant to have said something wrong.”

He expressed his disappointment at not having a say in his exit from the show he’d been part of since its 2005 relaunch, noting that recent events seemed to have taken that choice away.

The TV star reflected on his time and future, saying: “I’d hoped that I’d have some say in my exit from a show I’ve worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in last few days seem to have prevented that. Over the past few months, I have been considering my life and the shape of it now and in the future.”

Confirming his departure, he announced: “Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent along with two fantastic Christmas specials will be my last. Personally, I have loved every minute working on MasterChef, but it’s time to pass the cutlery to someone else.”

He encouraged his successor to cherish the role as much as he did and revealed his plans to watch the show’s progress while pursuing other ventures. Torode added: “For whoever takes over, love it as I have. I will watch fondly from afar as I now focus on the many other exciting projects that I have been working towards.”

Acknowledging the impact of his long tenure on the show, he joked about his stomach needing a break after two decades. He concluded with heartfelt thanks for the years spent on ‘MasterChef’: “My tummy will be grateful for a rest after 20 years of eating, but what a joy it has been. Life is everchanging and ever moving and sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere.

“Thank you for the many years of MasterChef. JOHN TORODE.”

Danny Dyer has furiously branded Prime Minister Keir Starmer ‘no leader’ and a ‘f*****g non-entity’ in a foul-mouthed rant.

The actor, 47, slammed the leader of the Labour party and said the country should be run by ‘real w0rk1ng class people’ not ‘m1ddle-class pr3tenders’.

He told The Telegraph:'[Keir’s] a f****** non-entity. I feel sorry for the people when he goes to a factory and they put these poor people behind him and you can tell they all hate his guts’.

‘We need a leader. He’s not a leader. I don’t know what the f*** he is. He’s only in power because the Tories were such c****’.

Earlier this year the former EastEnders star got a  grilling about claims he sent his son to private school in ITV’s show The Assembly.

Each episode saw a different celebrity face questions from a group of autistic, neurodivergent and learning disabled people, which forced them to cast aside their media training, with no topic off limits.

Also questioned were ex Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker, 64, Doctor Who star David Tennant, 54, and ex-Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall, 32.

Danny was asked by one of the interviewers: ‘How w0rk1ng class are you to send your son to a private school?’.

To which he responded: ‘I am a working-class kid and I am very proud of my roots. We moved to a better place where we could bring the children up.

‘I have put my children in a private school, but now they’re not street wise. I don’t regret it but there’s a part of me that I wish I could instil a little bit of knowing what it’s like to struggle into them.

‘But like anyone, if you have kids you want to give them everything you can and it can backfire on you slightly, because now, they get driven around in a Bentley. I’ve got a Bentley. I walked everywhere as a kid or got a bus.

‘My kids have never been on a bus, they don’t have to. Because they get driven door to door in a Bentley.’

Danny , who hails from east London, and his wife Joanne have three children – Sunnie, 18,  Arty, 11, and reality star Dani, 28, who won the fourth series of ITV dating show Love Island.

He revealed earlier this March that they were going to send his son to a private school in Chigwell.

Asked on The Assembly show how he felt about her going on the dating show and being a nepo baby, he responded: ‘She is but by default and I think that’s why she got on the show.

‘I never wanted her to do it because I heard people have sex on that show. As a father I don’t want to see any of that. She didn’t tell me until the last minute and she just went. She was such a beautiful human being on it. So actually, it worked out really well with her. She was working in a pub before that.

‘She is a nepo baby but what’s wrong with that?.’

Meanwhile Danny recently teased season two of smash hit  series Rivals and lifted the lid on his career reinvention since his EastEnders exit in 2022.

The star, who plays Freddie Jones in the saucy Disney+ show, reassured fans that they have no need to worry about the new instalment failing to live up to its predecessor.

He told Radio Times: ‘I can’t reveal much, but what I will say is that we’ve got no issues with the old second album syndrome. I’ve been blessed with a lovely character. He’s not the lead and he doesn’t need to be the lead, same as Katherine [Parkinson who plays love interest, Lizzie Vereker]’.

Danny, who won a BAFTA earlier this year for Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff, also revealed there would be a ‘bit more’ of his character’s love life in the new episodes.

Despite her valiant efforts, Siobhán didn’t solve it in time. But she still walked away a winner – scooping £25,000 in the final round, on top of the £4,500 she’d already earned.

That meant a total of £29,500 went to her chosen charity, The Maya Centre in North London, which provides counselling and holistic support to low-income and minoritised women.

Once the game was over, host Stephen Mulhern, 48, asked if she wanted to know the answer, but the penny had already dropped.

Free from the countdown clock, Siobhán quickly realised the catchphrase was: ‘Out of shape’ -a clever play on both the character’s workout woes and the fact they were standing outside the circle.

And it wasn’t just Siobhán’s charity that benefited. She also nailed the show’s special double charity question, meaning both Charlie and Jimmi saw their winnings double too.

Charlie raised money for breast cancer charity Future Dreams, while Jimmi donated to Baby Lifeline, which supports NHS staff in preventing injuries and deaths during childbirth.

But with time ticking and pressure mounting, the actress came unstuck at the final Super Catchphrase puzzle –  but can you crack the clue that tripped her up?

Earlier this month, host Stephen was left red-faced after giving away an answer to a question.

A scene showed a man going into a coffee shop with rapidly increasing price tags until they burst through the ceiling, and Stephen declared: ‘Literally, the prices have gone through the roof!’

Following his accidental outburst, the contestants then stood in silence for a second as an embarrassed-looking Stephen clocked what he had said.

Jeremy eventually broke the silence by pressing his buzzer and jokingly asked: ‘Sorry, what? Was that the answer?’

Stephen embarrassingly nodded before bursting into fits of laughter alongside the audience.

He admitted: ‘I have never in my life done that. In 10 years!’

HEARTBREAKINGLY – A Joyful Moment TURNS Stormy – Lorraine’s granddaughter debuts, BUT viewers pour “COLD WATER” on it!

ITV viewers were left in stitches by Adil Ray as he took a pointed swipe at Lorraine Kelly during Friday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain.

Lorraine, 65, who usually presents her show Monday to Thursday, gave fans a shock as she appeared on GMB to tell Adil and Kate Garraway, 58, what to expect on her instalment of Lorraine.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am to 9am, which is then followed by Lorraine between 9am and 10am.

Usually on Fridays, Christine Lampard, 46, or Ranvir Singh, 47, steps in for the Scottish presenter.

But on GMB, Adil giggled: ‘Lorraine is here after 9… In for Lorraine, in fact.’

‘How are you doing? It’s lovely to see you both?’ she laughed back.

Lorraine was accompanied by her granddaughter Billie live on the show, who was welcomed into the world on 29 August last year.

She said: ‘As you can see, a very special guest with me all morning, baby Billie is here. Hooray!

‘Good to see you little lamb. She’s just the best. The absolute best.

‘She’s nearly a year old. Next month. You’re a year old – we might have to have a party. It’s very, very exciting.’

Many viewers rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their confusion over why Lorraine is presenting on Friday.

‘Adil straight up to her face just said “Lorraine sitting in for Lorraine” I have a newfound respect for him now #lorraine #gmb.’

‘Why is she in on a Friday? #lorraine.’

‘#lorraine oh no thought it was going to be Christine.’

‘Lorraine hosting her own show on a Friday.’

‘Sorry I’m confused, it’s a Friday yet #Lorraine is actually hosting her own show???????’

    ‘Lorraine?!?! ON A FRIDAY.’

It comes after it was revealed back in May that Lorraine and Loose Women have been axed for half the year.

Lorraine’s runtime has been slashed by 30 minutes, as ITV Daytime bosses announced huge cuts today with job losses in excess of 220.

Lorraine Kelly faced the brunt of the cuts with Good Morning Britain now taking her 9-10am slot for 22 weeks of the year.

For the remaining 30 weeks of the year, Lorraine will present five days a week, meaning her Friday stand-in presenters Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard are no longer needed for the show.

Lorraine’s show has also been slashed in half, now running for just 30 minutes from 9:30am to 10am.

ITV sources told MailOnline that they have decided to cut resources on their daytime schedule so that the network can invest in more drama programmes.

One said: ‘There is a need to cost save but also so that the right money can go to the right shows and with everything getting more expensive these things have to be looked at.’

Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division, explained the changes: ‘Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.

‘These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.’

Lygo added: ‘I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off screen in our Daytime production teams, and we will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition.

‘Daytime has been a core element of ITV’s schedule for over 40 years and these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade.’

Earlier this week it was revealed that Lorraine has reportedly signed a major deal with ITV rival Channel 4 for a huge budget travel series after her daytime show was hit by brutal cuts.

A source told the publication: ‘Channel 4 were delighted to have Lorraine on board. It was exciting for Lorraine to do something different and be on location again.

‘Despite the apparent slight in the ITV daytime shake-up, Lorraine’s loyal fanbase isn’t to be underestimated and they will follow her wherever she goes.

The source continued and claimed she is ‘gutted’ over the cuts and is now ‘opening her eyes’ to upcoming options in the industry.

An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We have always said that from January 2026, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will be three editorially distinct shows which will be produced by one team.

‘These changes are not about the performance of the shows or the staff who produce them, with Lorraine only last month achieving its highest audience share in four years.

‘We can assure our viewers that their favourite daytime shows will remain familiar to them on screen.’

Kath, who is non-binary and uses she/they pronouns, hard launched a new relationship with AFLW player Tilley Lucas-Rodd on Thursday.

Taking to TikTok, Kath shared the happy news in two sentimental TikToks, with a sarcastic caption aimed at Dance Moms star JoJo.

‘Hope this one doesn’t cheat on me,’ Kath wrote, alongside a video of the Hawthorn player, calling the sports star their new ‘crush’.

The video was filmed on the front porch of Tilley’s Melbourne home, with Kath writing: ‘Didn’t know all I needed was this album and an all-consuming crush’.

‘Who’s this new crush huh? Lemme have a word with them,’ Tilley flirtatiously commented.

‘Posting said crush because what the hell are they going to do about it?’ Kath wrote over the second video of Tilley dancing around the living room.

Kath has been staying with Tilley during the AFLW off-season in recent weeks.

The 29-year-old midfielder-turned-halfback, who is also non-binary, is the first AFLW player to undergo top surgery.

Fans were quick to offer their well wishes and congratulations to Kath, who just three months ago found themselves flying from London to Sydney solo and single after the Celebrity Big Brother UK finale.

‘You definitely won that break-up,’ one wrote.

‘Go Kath! 12/10 upgrade,’ added a second, with a third chiming in: ‘WAG era activated.’

Lesbian singer Peach PRC also offered her congratulations, writing: ‘YAAAYYY’.

JoJo, 21, dumped Kath, 27, just hours after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house in April, after setting tongues wagging about her close on-screen bond with her now-boyfriend Chris Hughes.

During her time on CBB, JoJo formed a tactile ‘friendship’ with the Love Island star, 32, with the pair’s flirty behaviour raising eyebrows – given her relationship with Kath at the time.

After leaving the house, JoJo immediately broke up with Kath at the CBB wrap party.

In a whirlwind press tour, the Dance Moms star went on to insist Chris was not to blame for her split with Kath, and that their relationship was strictly platonic.

The pair are now a high-profile couple.

‘I’d love to marry her. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I run through scenarios of our wedding day,’ Chris recently told The Sun.

The news of Kath’s new relationship comes hot on the heels of an awkward encounter with Sydney paparazzi Jayden Seyfarth at the airport on Thursday.

Seyfarth approached Kath in public and peppered the Aussie influencer with rapid-fire questions about JoJo.

‘When’s the last time you spoke to JoJo?’ Seyfarth asked.

‘Do you still listen to her music or skip it when it comes on?’

    ‘That’s funny,’ Kath replied.

‘Are you still single at the moment or have you found a new lover?’ he tried again.

‘Wouldn’t you like to know,’ Kath said.

Appearing increasingly uncomfortable, Kath repeated the word ‘no’ and the phrase ‘no comment’ several times, while trying to move away from the paparazzo.

He pressed on with a final question: ‘Do you think it was a blessing in disguise JoJo going into the Big Brother house, or do you wish she never went on?’

‘No comment,’ Kath repeated while trying to put on a pair of headphones as they moved away.

Hours later, they debuted their new relationship on social media.

NBA Sh0ckwave: Shaquille O’Neal says Rudy Gobert is not worth $250 Million – CALLS OUT “3 MAJOR WEAKNESSES” of this NBA center!NBA phạt Rudy Gobert của Timberwolves 100 nghìn đô la vì ra hiệu ký tiền cho

With every passing year, NBA salaries keep sh00ting through the roof. Not that long ago, a $70 million contract used to be headline-worthy for a star player’s entire career; now that’s what stars like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are about to make in just one season.

While some players are absolutely worth those monster paydays, Shaquille O’Neal thinks there are a few who definitely aren’t, and Shaq never bites his tongue. This time, he’s taking aim at Rudy Gobert’s massive earnings, going off about how the big man’s bank account doesn’t exactly match up with what he brings to the court.

“When I am watching him (Gobert) play, he don’t work that hard,” Shaq said on the “Off the Record” podcast with hosts Bailey Jackson and Lachelle Smith. “So why are you making 250 [million]? Congratulations to Shai; that is what $70 million looks like. Right now he’s (Gobert) showing me $250,000. I don’t care if he likes it. If I was on his team, I would say that to his face.”

Shaq didn’t stop there; he also added that guys like Gobert are the reason the center position just isn’t what it used to be.

According to Spotrac, Gobert has made over $300 million in career earnings in 12 NBA seasons. He has three years and $110 million left on his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In Shaq’s eyes, most big men in the league today are soft, with one big exception: Nikola Jokic. Shaq made it clear he’s got tons of respect for the Joker. He even pointed to the current All-Star lists, saying there’s barely any true centers these days compared to when he was dominating the paint.

For Shaq, it’s proof that the big man game has lost its edge and players like Gobert cashing massive checks aren’t helping.
