Bookman: Marjorie Taylor Greene ascends in GOP because of stupidity, not in spite of it • Georgia Recorder

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican congresswoman from Georgia, ranks among the most controversial figures on Fox News and in U.S. politics. She is well-known for her bold, sometimes shocking statements on topics like the political system, the pandemic, and immigration. Greene has frequently cast doubt on the results of the 2020 election and emphasized national sovereignty, drawing criticism for stoking public fear.

On Fox News, she appears as a voice for those who feel abandoned by traditional politics. Yet her approach has drawn criticism for being inflexible and divisive. Critics argue that she often seems more focused on grabbing headlines than on developing effective solutions.

For her supporters, Greene is a steadfast champion of principles and unwilling to compromise. She represents a movement worried about individual freedoms and wary of government reach. For detractors, she’s a provocateur whose rhetoric intensifies political polarization in American society.

In sum, Marjorie Taylor Greene deeply divides opinion: a hero to some voters, but a cause for concern to many regarding her confrontational political style.

Greg Gutfeld, host of “Gutfeld!” and panelist on The Five, has frequently stirred controversy with his provocative sense of humor and historical references. In a recent segment, he used a h1ghly s3nsitive term in a satirical context, claiming it was meant to “reclaim” language and criticize cultural hypocrisy.
While he called it a form of linguistic judo, critics accused him of tr1v1alizing serious hist0rical tr2uma and w3ap0nizing hum0r for attention.
Despite the backlash, Gutfeld stuck to his trademark style of sharp political satire blended with social commentary, which has earned his late-night show consistent ratings success.
Gutfeld represents a style of conservative media that prizes unf1ltered sp33ch, where the line between edgy comedy and public offense often blurs. For him, controversy isn’t collateral—it’s strategy.

Sean Hannity is one of the most prominent—and polarizing—figures at Fox News. While he commands a massive viewership, he has repeatedly been flagged by independent fact-checkers for spreading inaccurate or misleading claims, especially on topics like cl1mate science, healthcare, and welfare policies.
Some of his remarks have sparked public confusion, such as references to so-called “life-and-d3ath pan3ls” in healthcare reform, or incorrect claims about environmental research. Many of these statements have been rated as mostly or entirely false.
Still, Hannity retains significant influence thanks to his assertive and emotionally charged delivery. With a talent for energizing his base and holding firm to ideological positions, he remains a central figure in conservative media—even as controversy continues to follow him.

BREAKDOWN OF A SH0CKWAVE – Was Letting Tucker Carlson go a Bold Move or Fox News’ Greatest Mistake?

Tucker Carlson, formerly the highest-rated host at Fox News before his departure in 2023, remains a powerful force in conservative media through his personal long-form podcast platform.

He continues to influence r1ght-w1ng thought with outspoken views on f0reign p0licy and m1litary engag3ment.

Most recently, he voiced strong opposition to intervention in nucl3ar pr0grams in the M1ddle East and conducted headline-grabbing interviews with figures from both domestic and international spheres.
Although he no longer appears on national TV, Carlson transitioned swiftly to an independent media space where he expresses his ideas without constraint. His commentary remains sharp, controversial, and deeply resonant with a loyal audience. Some analysts even suggest he could be a serious p0l1tical c0nt3nder should he choose to enter the race.
In short, Carlson’s exit from Fox News didn’t weaken his influence—it arguably gave him more freedom to shape conservative ideology on his own terms.

Just One Step away from a CANCELED WEDDING – Fox News’ Shannon Bream and the Unimaginable Tragedies that brought Tears To Everyone’s Eyes!

Fox News host Dana Perino recently sat down with her friend and “Fox News @ Night” anchor Shannon Bream to discuss Bream’s new book, “Finding the Bright Side: The Art of Chasing What Matters.”

On  Fox Nation’s “Dana Perino’s Book Club,” Bream said the book included everything from her upbringing and family struggles, to her career path and the hurdles she faced along the way. She also went into detail discussing her life as Miss Virginia and Miss Florida, and her decision to attend law school, where she graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law.

Bream opened up about what drove her to write the deeply personal book, and the emotional toll it took on her and her family during the process.

“Any book that you’re writing about your life, there are tough chapters that you’ve gotten through, you’ve survived them, and kind of closed them up,” she said.

“But when you have to go and reopen that wound, that was a little hard to write about — but I said if I’m going to write a book and be transparent, you have to share the good and bad.”

Perino mentioned one chapter that brought her to tears. Shannon wrote about the time her husband, Sheldon, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 24 as they were planning their wedding.

“It just takes the wind out of your sails…everything in your life stops and all you’re thinking about is how do we get through this, how do we survive this,” said Bream.

She also shared stories about the happier moments during that period, one of which took place at Pizza Hut when her husband was finally free of the facial paralysis that followed his extensive surgeries for six months.

“We’re sitting in Pizza Hut, and I saw the corner of his mouth twitch and I thought to myself that’s where they said it would start,” she recalled.

“I rummaged through my purse for my compact and he looks at it and we just start jumping around Pizza Hut like two crazy people hugging each other with tears of joy.”

“People who have gone through tough struggles, if you’re alongside them and you love them, it’s hard to see them suffer, and it was the first bit of joy I’d seen in him in several months, so it was a light,” Bream said.

    SH0CK: Fox News reporter’s son survives D3adly Sch00l $H00T1NG!

Fox News senior correspondent Alicia Acuna reunited with her son on live TV Wednesday following a sh00ting that occurred at her children’s high school.

Acuna, who has been with Fox News since 1997 and works from the Denver bureau, has three kids currently enrolled at East High School, where Wednesday’s sh00ting occurred. She joined “America Reports” to cover the incident and a special guest joined her in the middle of her correspondence.

“Excuse me, my son just came up, and I had not seen,” Acuna told anchors John Roberts and Sandra Smith in the middle of a report outside the school.

“I’m sorry, I had not seen my kid,” an emotional Acuna reiterated as they hugged. “I’m so sorry, there is no way you would have let your kid walk by.”

Smith told her to step aside and be with her son, if needed, but Acuna quickly got back to work.

“He’s good,” Acuna said. “He’s the one that was telling me what was happening.”

Before the touching moment when she was reunited with her son, Acuna, who at that point already knew her children were safe, walked viewers through her experience and explained frustrations she shares with fellow parents.

“I have so many questions, as do so many other parents here. I can tell you that I was sitting in my desk, working on a different story, and I started getting texts from my son, saying that he was in an assembly and then, all of the sudden, there were p0l1ce officers everywhere, there were ambulances, the assembly was shut down and there were cops guarding their door,” Acuna said.

“I kept in contact with him over text because he said he had to stay silent,” she continued, noting that she also has a niece who attends the school.

“She was h1d1ng in a closet, texting with her mom, my sister… I was one of the parents coming down here, also just rushing to see what we could do, and of course we couldn’t get too close,” Acuna said.

Acuna said many parents were unaware of a plan that included students being patted down upon entering the school, which came to light when a student allegedly shot two faculty members.

“I had no idea, and a lot of other parents had no idea, that their kids were walking into the same school with other kids that were under a plan, that were being patted down because there was enough concern to do so on a daily basis,” she said. “When I asked why parents weren’t being told this, I was told by the superintendent that was to protect the privacy of the people who were being patted down. As a parent, my question is, ‘What about the safety and the concerns we have for all of our students?’ There is a tremendous amount of frustration right now.”

The Denver P0l1ce Department tweeted just after 10 a.m. local time Wednesday that officers were responding to a sh00ting at East High School.

In a follow-up tweet, the department said, “Two adult v1ct1ms have been located and transported to area hospitals. It is believed the s::sp3ct is no longer on scene, and investigators are working to develop additional info.” ATF Denver confirmed in a tweet that it was on scene.

Denver Public Schools later revealed that “two adult faculty members have been transported to area hospitals.” The school said it will be conducting a “controlled release” of students once the Denver P0l1ce Department allows. The district said it was working with the Regional Transportation District to increase the number of buses to help students get home.

The district initially tweeted that a lockdown was in place and all students were in their third period classrooms.

Acuna has two other children who already graduated from East High School.

“This is a really weird thing, toggling between reporting and being a parent… but I’m speaking as a parent,” Acuna said.

Just minutes into Thursday’s episode of Emmerdale, fans complained and said that they would be “muting” the ITV soap. The hour-long showing followed the fun3ral of mrd3red Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), with emotions very high, from tears and sadness to sourness and anger.

The previous episode saw Nate’s widow, Tracy (Amy Walsh) make the harsh decision to ban his dad, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and the rest of the rowdy family from the fun3ral. But once Cain got wind of the bereaved wife getting a payout from Nate’s life insurance, he decided that he would be attending anyway – and there would be nothing that Tracy could do to stop him. Today’s episode saw the Dingle clan rock up to church with a bang. Sam Dingle (James Hooton) led the pack of mourners with his drum as Tracy and Nate’s mother Cara (Carryl Thomas) kicked off.

But it was a tearful Tracy that bothered fans, with some saying that her emotion was nothing but “cr0c0dile t2Ars”. Posting to X (formerly Twitter), one fan fumed: “Please. Tracey has got to go! Acting holier than thou yet she laid up with Caleb and was gonna leave Nate at one point. Cain has every right to go to his son’s fun3ral #Emmerdale.”

Another complained: “Not sure I can take an hour of Tracey Trollop’s wh1ng1ng & false tears….thank God for the mute button. #Emmerdale,” while a third moaned: “From whiny Tater to whiny Sarah. Me tea is coming back up,” followed by a puk1ng em0ji.

“Can Tracy just shut up!!! #Emmerdale,” another demanded while someone else wrote: “Can this be Tracy’s leaving do, too #Emmerdale.”

As the fun3ral proceeded, Tracy gave her eulogy over to John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), not knowing that he was actually the man behind her son’s d3ath. But before he could take to the stand, Cain stood up and said a few words himself.

In an emotional apology, he said he loved Nate and wished that things had ended on better terms. There wasn’t a dry eye among the Dingles as the man with a tough exterior showed that he is only human.

Once he was done, it was John’s turn. There was a tense moment as it seemed as though he may make a confession but instead he urged the feuding families to come together instead in honour of the deceased.
