Robin Roberts & Will Reeve: Two Generations – One Spirit – Co-Hosting a Major Event that Thrills fans!

Robin Roberts left lost for words by GMA co-host Will Reeves during eye-opening moment | HELLO!

Robin Roberts and Will Reeve have taken the weekend away from their usual NYC abodes, and their familiar stations at Good Morning America studios in the city, for a different kind of assignment.

Robin, 63, and Will, 32, are going to be spending the better part of the start of their week in Los Angeles, covering the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards for the network.

The pair will act as hosts for the Emmys pre-show on the red carpet, interviewing the biggest stars of the screen and the crews responsible for some of the most beloved shows of the past year.

On social media, Robin shared some glimpses of the prep going into the Emmys on Sunday night, September 15, first by sharing a look at the ABC special for the Emmy nominees, which she hosted.

Robin posted a snap of the stunning sequined suit she wore for the night and penned: “Hope you enjoyed our Emmys Special last night on @abc that is now on @hulu. Thanks to all the marvelous nominees who joined us!”

She also took to her Instagram Stories the day before the ceremony, first adding a photo of herself and Will at the hotel gym. “In the hotel gym with @willreeve_ We gotta get ready to host the Emmys Red Carpet pre-show!”

Robin then added a video of herself and Will walking the red carpet, discussing some of their prep-work for the night while sharing a look at the official red carpet as it was being done up for the big event.

The carpet was being laid underneath a giant purple tent and was still covered in plastic so as to not get any footprints or dirt on it ahead of the actual show. The Emmys this year will be held at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, hosted by father-son duo (and Emmy winners) Eugene and Dan Levy.

“I’m very excited,” Will opined. “I was walking the treadmill, you were running. And now we’re both walking the red carpet! There’s so much here.” Robin added: “We can’t show you as much as we would like to.”

Will highlighted that he was placed further away from Robin, more towards the back of the carpet to catch other stars walking towards the theater, and joked that’s why he was “going to the gym.”

“This will all make sense when you see the Pre-Show,” Robin continued. “We are the appetizers for the main course, which is the 76th annual Emmy Awards.”

She then expectantly turned to Will and asked what he wanted to do next, who replied: “I wanna go enjoy and party, but I’m actually going to go to bed and study,” which led to Robin turning to the camera with a sly smile.

“Isn’t that the right answer?” Will asked as she jokingly shrugged him off. “I’m just happy to be here because I love TV, I love Robin, I love this red carpet, we’re just ready to rock.”

Robin Roberts ensured all eyes were on her as she stepped out on Sunday night to co-host the 76th Emmy Awards.

The Good Morning America star, along with Will Reeve, hosting the red carpet arrivals for ABC, and she looked just as stylish as the rest of the stars.

Robin opted for a floor-length blue gown embellished with sequins, and accessorized her outfit with diamond earrings.

The long-running morning show host took to Instagram ahead of the night to share a behind-the-scenes video of herself getting ready, showing her before and after look.

The footage – which can be viewed above – certainly caused a stir among her fans too, with many taking to the comments section to have their say.

“Wow, Robin, just wow,” one wrote, while another commented: “You look absolutely beautiful.” A third added: “You look stunning Robin!”

The 76th Emmy Awards is the second of the year. The 75th Emmys happened January, four months after its usual date, to celebrate the 2023 wins. This was due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.

For the 2024 nominations, The Bear, Shōgun, Baby Reindeer and The Morning Show are among those that are in the running, while Dan and Eugene Levy are the award hosts.

Robin has had an exciting month so far, both at work and in her personal life. On September 8, she celebrated her first wedding anniversary with wife Amber Laign.

The couple first met on a blind date 19 years ago and have been together ever since, going public with their relationship in 2013, when Robin came out via a Facebook post and revealed she’d been in a long-term relationship with the wellness expert.

Robin proposed to Amber in 2023, and enjoyed a star-studded wedding in Connecticut later that year.

Robin and Amber’s relationship is incredibly unique too, as the couple only spend half their weeks living in the same house.Instead, they spend weekends together, while Robin stays in New York City during the week while working and Amber remains in Connecticut.

During a previous appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the TV host told Robin: “I’m reading in the book that you don’t live together because you get up at 3am,” in reference to her book, Everybody’s Got Something, that was released in 2014.

In the book, the journalist wrote: “Amber and I have been a loving couple for almost ten years now, but we choose not to live together. The morning of June 18 on NBC’s TODAY Show looked very different once again, as several of its key anchors were absent from their usual slots.

As the show returned from Father’s Day weekend, business resumed as usual with Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin in their usual chairs. But those started shifting as the week went on.

Al Roker, the show’s meteorologist, left Studio 1A at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City for Bentonville, Arkansas, to attend the Bentonville Film Festival, led by actress Geena Davis.

Meanwhile, Dylan Dreyer also took off from NY after spending Father’s Day with her husband Brian Fichera and their three sons for the other side of the country, aka Anchorage, Alaska.

She will help host a very special edition of the Third Hour of TODAY spotlighting the Summer Solstice, scheduled this year for June 20. On Wednesday, Al flew in from Arkansas to Alaska for the segment as well.

The latest edition of the Third Hour, on June 18, featured a previously recorded episode with Craig, Al and Dylan in their usual spots.

On the regular 7-9 AM hours, though, another shake-up occurred as well, with Savannah also taking off for more international waters. She flew to France to attend the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, covering for the network.

Craig hosted the morning show with Laura Jarrett, saying Savannah was “still on assignment,” with the morning weather instead presented by meteorologist for Saturday TODAY Angie Lassman.

The moves continue, though, as Dylan herself will say goodbye to Alaska after a short visit and head across the pond to the United Kingdom to cover the Royal Ascot, as she has each year.

Last year, Dylan spoke exclusively with HELLO! about her adventures at the Ascot, including trying to sneak a photo of the late Queen Elizabeth II while there, and almost landing herself in international hot water.

“We were on the back side of the track where they give out the trophies and everything and there’s the glass area where the winners sit and or the people who are distributing the trophy,” she recalled.

“And Queen Elizabeth was there and her back was to me, but she had her hat on and these amazing earrings and I took a selfie with her in the background.”

Laura Jarrett stepped in to host with Craig on the first two hours of TODAY

Things quickly took a turn, and she continued: “As soon as I took the selfie, someone said ‘You can’t take pictures here,’ and I’m like, ‘I know, I’m sorry,’ and walked away, but I still have that selfie!” Dylan also covers the Kentucky Derby for TODAY, and explained what exactly made them so different.

“The biggest difference is at the Kentucky Derby, it’s all day but then everything ends,” she said. “There’s the main race and then when that happens, it’s a mad dash to get out of there. And then you go to Royal Ascot and the day is kind of different. In the morning there’s a lot of families and there’s kids around and you know, everybody’s there for the royal procession and then the horse race happens.”

The mom-of-three added: “Then when the horse racing ends, then the party starts over by the band stand, and everybody’s there to have this sing-along and this big party and nobody’s rushing out of there. It’s like the whole day was leading up to that part of the day.”

UNBELIEVABLY SH0CKING YET EXCITING – Today Show veteran Hoda Kotb on NBC’s B0MBSHELL PLAN to REPLACE Kelly Clarkson – Fans thrilled BUT feel sorry for Kelly!

Former “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb is on the “list” of candidates to replace NBC daytime talk show host Kelly Clarkson – paving the way for a possible comeback just months after her surprise exit, The Post has learned.

Kotb, who stunned fans when she stepped down in January, is firmly on the network’s radar as rumors swirl that Clarkson wants to leave her eponymous show, according to an NBC insider.

“There’s a long list of names and Hoda is part of that list,” said the source. “NBC never wanted Hoda to leave. The question is would Hoda want to do it?”

    Hoda Kotb

Clarkson’s contract is up next year. It is not clear when Kotb or another replacement would take over the show should the pop singer decide to walk away.

Meanwhile, the original “American Idol” winner is embarking on a big year for her music career.

She is releasing a ninth album in June under her own label before launching a new Las Vegas residency from July 4 to Aug. 16, with additional shows from Nov. 7-15.

“If the album doesn’t do well, she might want to keep her talk show,” the source said. “But she has a lot going on and the timing may be right for the next chapter.”

NBC, Clarkson and Kotb did not return requests for comment.

The source said NBC bosses are looking for a recognizable host who already has a following — and being a diverse candidate wouldn’t hurt Kotb’s chances, either.

“Hoda ticks a lot of boxes. She’s an Egyptian, older Kelly Clarkson,” the first source said.

Aside from Kotb, a slew of personalities who filled in as host over the years — like Wanda Sykes, Willie Geist, Molly Sims, Roy Wood Jr. and Josh Groban — are also on the list, the insider added.

Another source suggested that former “Today” weekend anchor Maria Shriver could be in the running. The Kennedy scion has been publicizing her new book: “I am Maria.”

Sources said taking over for Clarkson might be attractive to Kotb, who has had to share the limelight with “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie (left).Nathan Congleton/NBC via Getty Images
But Kotb could be tempted to return to the anchor chair because she would not have to jockey for the limelight with a co-host.

The affable anchor, who joined NBC in 1998, is well-liked by higher-ups at the network and has many of the top execs on speed dial, the first source said.

Kotb left “Today,” which she co-hosted with Savannah Guthrie for seven years, in order to spend more time with her ailing young daughter and to work on her own wellness brand.

The crazy hours required to host a morning show had worn on Kotb and her family, the person said, noting that she would be up at 3 a.m. every morning to host the show.

Compared to “Today,” a daytime talk show would be a “cakewalk,” the source added.

“A talk show is good for a mom,” the source said, explaining that the taping schedule for the show is more condensed. The show tapes two shows a day, one at 11 am and one at 3 pm. It’s airtime differs depending on the market. In New York and Chicago, it airs at 3 pm, while in Los Angeles, it airs at 2 pm.

Clarkson has apparently tired of her schedule and mulled stepping away to spend more time with her children, The Post previously reported.

“Kelly’s No. 1 priority is her children, and they always will be,” one industry insider said at the time. “The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”

Ratings for the “Kelly Clarkson Show” have steadily declined since its launch in 2019. The show drew an average of 1.2 million viewers this season, compared to 1.9 million when it debuted.

The program has won 22 Daytime Emmys and still holds its own against other top daytime talk shows, including “The View,” “Today with Jenna and Friends” and “NBC News Daily.”

show should she leave, sources said.Bumble Dee – stock.adobe.com
Since Kotb left “Today” and was replaced by Craig Melvin, the show has slipped in the ratings. Before her exit, the show had an average of just under 2.8 million total viewers. In the months since she left, ratings averaged around 2.7 million total viewers, with viewership in March and April dipping to the 2.5 million to 2.6 million-range.

Meanwhile, Kotb’s other NBC show, “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” which aired at 10 a.m., had averaged around 1.3 million total viewers. Renamed “Jenna & Friends,” the program — which is hosted by Jenna Bush Hager along with a rotation of guest hosts — is bringing in between 1.1 and 1.2 million viewers.

THE TODAY show will reportedly see some changing faces over the coming months, as NBC and sister network MSNBC part ways.

According to a bombshell new report on Politico, many TV personalities who float between both networks will be assigned to just one role during the messy split.

Beloved correspondent Jacob Soboroff “is expected to land at MSNBC,” journalist Lachlan Cartwright claimed.

Soboroff is reportedly “well liked” by MSNBC exec Rebecca Kutler.

Willie Geist, who often fills in at Today, will be the one anchor who remains at both networks, Politico reported.

It is unclear when the big changes will take place, and Soboroff has not yet commented on the rumors.

He joined NBC in 2015, and often fills in for Pop Star reporter Carson Daly, who is frequently away from the show for his role on The Voice.

He sometimes has a seat at the main anchor desk when hosts Savannah Guthrie or Craig Melvin are out.

    ROTATING DOORS

Today has been going through other major changes, including Hoda Kotb’s departure in January, and Melvin’s promotion to main anchor.

Sheinelle Jones has been off the show since December, dealing with a “family matter.”

With Kotb’s absence, Jenna Bush Hager has been welcoming rotating guest co-hosts, including Olivia Munn, Scarlett Johansson and Andy Cohen.

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, execs are eyeing Jones to replace Kotb on Today’s 4th Hour with Hager when she returns to work in the coming months.

Today fans are ‘so excited’ as Jenna Bush Hager reveals ‘hilarious’ new Hoda Kotb replacement

    TRAGIC LOSS

The journalist suffered a tragedy in his personal life when he lost his childhood home to the Los Angeles wildfires in January.

The father of two, 42, choked back tears when he discovered on camera that his beloved Pacific Palisades home was reduced to ashes.

“It’s gone!” he cried out, as he drove by.

“Oh, my. This is my childhood home. It’s gone.

“I look around the town, the neighborhood, the place that I grew up in, and it’s hard to imagine what comes next and what happens next.

“There’s not a single house left standing here.”

Today show fans immediately flooded his social media with support.

“I’m so sorry Jake. Thank you for your reporting,” wrote one follower.

“Thank you for your reporting – may God be with you, the firefighters and first responders,” responded another.

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager had a touching reunion on Monday’s episode of Today, all thanks to an exciting piece of news that the former co-hosts couldn’t wait to celebrate.

During their catch-up, Hoda couldn’t help but show viewers her newest family member – a tiny Cavapoo puppy named Waffles.

“Look at her. Could you die?” Hoda grinned as she held up her puppy to the camera. “I am so in love with this dog.” Her former Today with Hoda & Jenna co-host chimed in with a hilarious quip about Waffles’ striking similarity to the Joy 101 founder.

“Hoda, I hate to say this, but you know when they say dogs kind of look like their owners? That dog has the same hair color as you,” Jenna said.

“We’re twinning. We are totally twinning!” her friend replied. “She’s the best, you guys.”

Hoda and Jenna were recently nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Hosts for their work on Today with Hoda & Jenna, alongside heavy hitters like Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, and Kelly Clarkson.

Hoda video called into the show to share her joy with Jenna, whom she co-hosted the fourth hour of Today with for almost six years.

“We’ve been nominated multiple times and yet we’ve never won, but to get to be nominated next to Hoda after the show is complete after we had our year together, our last year – which I know was really meaningful to me and I’m pretty sure it was meaningful for her,” Jenna said on the show.

She added that Hoda must feel like “the Susan Lucci of Daytime Emmy hosts,” referencing the All My Children star who was nominated 18 times before nabbing a win.

The duo have received several nominations, including in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Jenna shared that while they’ve never clinched a win, “this could be our year,” adding that “the last time’s a charm”.

Hoda exited the show in January to focus on raising her two daughters Haley and Hope, and launching her wellness app, Joy 101.

“Let me tell you something, this is our last hurrah,” she said on the show. “This is happening. ‘Kelly Clarkson, who?’ is what I’d like to say,” she quipped, referring to Kelly’s multiple Emmy wins in the same category.

“No, I’m kidding. We love Kelly so much. We love her. But it’s our turn. As I’ve said to Jenna, we’re gonna go get her. G-I-T E-R.”

When Jenna suggested that the pair throw themselves into campaigning for an Emmy win, Hoda indicated that the “law of attraction” would serve them best.

“Don’t chase him. No one runs for a bus they’re already on,” she said wisely.

“Hopefully we’ll be in our little sequin outfits whenever the Emmy comes up,” her former co-host quipped.

Hoda has been enjoying her time away from TV, and launched her wellness app in May. The 60-year-old announced her exit from Today in September 2024, sharing that she wanted to be more present in her daughters’ lives.

“I just turned 60, and it was such a monumental moment for me when I turned 60 years old because I started thinking about that decade, like, what does that decade mean? What does it hold? What’s it gonna have for me?” she shared on the show. “And I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60 and to try something new.”

“I was thinking [Haley and Hope] deserve a bigger piece of my time, the pie that I have,” she added. “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time.”

UNEXPECTED on-air INCIDENT – Veteran TODAY Show host Al Roker’s SLIP huгts Dylan Dreyer – Craig Melvin forced to change Topic!

It’s almost time for Dylan Dreyer to get back to her seat on the 3rd Hour of TODAY’s desk.

The longtime TODAY anchor has spent the last several mornings away from her usual spot at NBC studios, as she competed in the American Century golf championship.

And as she made her way back to New York City back from the annual celebrity golf tournament, which was held in Nevada, her co-star Al Roker couldn’t help but take a jab at her place on the final rankings.

On the news desk this Monday, July 14 were Al, Craig Melvin, and Kaylee Hartung, while Dylan is still away and usual co-anchor Sheinelle Jones continues to take time off following the death of her husband Uche Ojeh.

Al then said that Dylan is on her way back, before joking: “With her fantastic last place finish,” as Kaylee noted that “she’s consistent,” and Craig quipped that she at least got to second place in karaoke.

Fellow TODAY anchor Carson Daly also competed in the celebrity golf tournament, he finished in 22nd place, while Dylan took the 90th slot.

The winner of the championship was former ice hockey player Joe Pavelski, while other notable celebrities that competed were Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, who finished in 5th place, former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who finished 8th, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who finished 15th, Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro, who finished 28th, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who finished 63rd, and Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost, who finished at 73.

Despite her low ranking, Dylan nonetheless had a blast during the three-day, 54-hole tournament, and shared a slew of posts about it to her Instagram.

Fans were then quick to take to the comments section under the post and praise her, with one writing: “Always excited for you when it’s ACC Tournament time Dylan. It’s next to impossible to play golf regularly raising a young family as you & Brian do along with a very busy professional working career. You always do us SO proud every day Dylan. Way to go!!” as others followed suit with: “Great shots!!” and: “Thanks for sharing the pictures. Glad you had a fun time. SH0CK: Today Show’s Craig Melvin ABSENT – New Project revealed – Fans Buzzing over rumor he’s launching his OWN Show!

Craig Melvin is a much-loved anchor on Today and so his absence is felt when he’s away. On Tuesday’s episode of the NBC daytime show, he was replaced by not one, but two anchors.

Firstly, on the main show, Savannah Guthrie started the program by introducing herself and Craig’s stand-in, Willie Geist.

The anchor didn’t give any reason as to why Craig was off, simply saying: “Thank you for joining us on this Tuesday morning, we have Willie Geist standing in for Craig.”

Later on the Third Hour, Craig was subbed by Kaylee Hartung. She was joined by Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer – who was welcomed back after her time away competing in the American Century golf championship.

Dylan joked that she was so close to not coming last, but ultimately did, as she took the 90th place.

Her fellow Today co-star Carson Daly also took part, coming in 22nd place. While it wasn’t revealed where Craig was, the much-loved anchor was no doubt enjoying the day off with his family. He lives with his wife, sports anchor Lindsay Czarniak, and their two children, son, Delano, and daughter, Sybil, in Connecticut.

His commute got even earlier at the start of the year, when he replaced Hoda Kotb on the main Today.

Craig – who has worked on Today since 2018 – is very much enjoying his new role, and has a great working relationship with Savannah, along with his Third Hour co-stars.

He is often laughing and joking around with Al, and the pair are known to tease each other on-screen, much to the delight of fans.

The dad-of-two also recently spoke about his friendship with Savannah. “We’ve become legit friends,” he told Parade.

“We’ve got kids that have hung out together, and we’ve hung out together, so we don’t have to fake it. “The audience can tell when the chemistry is manufactured, and we haven’t had to manufacture anything, which makes it even easier. I’m really excited to be on this adventure with my sister.”

On his first day in his new role, on January 13, Craig’s wife and children surprised him on the show, along with his parents, Lawrence and Betty-Jo.

“When I left this morning, you were all in bed!” Craig said to his family in disbelief. Away from Today, Craig has been busy with other projects, including writing a children’s book dedicated to his son, titled I’m Proud of You.

The NBC anchor spoke to Garden & Gun about the venture in 2024, when it was released. “I didn’t even realize some of the emotions I’m capable of having until I had my own children. I wanted to write a book that helped all the dads out there. It’s a l0ve letter to fatherhood.”

Fans in tears: Lewis Capaldi’s worst PANIC ATTΛCK at Glastonbury – sh0cking truth finally revealed!

Lewis Capaldi has reflected on his lowest moments as he admitted how bad his pan1c attcks got prior to his ‘breakdown’ on stage at Glastonbury back in 2023.

The Scottish hitmaker, 28, reduced fans to tears after he returned to Worthy Farm for a surprise set last month following a two-year hiatus to focus on his mental health and ‘adjust’ to his Tourette’s diagnosis.

And now Lewis has revealed he saw his return to the festival as a ‘mental win’ as he candidly spoke about his struggles on the latest episode of This Past Weekend podcast with Theo Von.

The singer confessed he had an episode far worse than his Glastonbury 2023 performance as he explained: ‘A few weeks prior to that show we were playing in Chicago and I had a very similar episode – it was probably even worse.

‘I couldn’t come back and finish a song. I was backstage c0nvulsing and having this crazy pan1c attck and m3ntal epis0de. Way worse than what happened at Glastonbury.

‘Because Glastonbury is such a big stage, it was the first time people outside my shows had seen it. At Glastonbury, when I came off stage it was weird, I had this (feeling) “everything’s alright now, I can actually go and get help and fix myself for the next two years”.’

He continued:  ‘In a weird way, it’s probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I wouldn’t have stopped otherwise.

‘I was really bad for not saying no to things. Feeling like “Oh this is going to pass me by if I don’t say yes. All this amazing stuff’s coming at me now and I have to catch it all and get it all done, otherwise these moments are going to pass me by and it’s never going to happen again”.

‘So, Glastonbury 2023 was, for sure, really important – maybe the most important day in my life.

‘Someone upstairs was like “this has to happen now otherwise…” I don’t want to think of where I would be now if I’d continued.

‘We were meant to go to Australia. It could have been really, really horrible. I dread to think what would have happened.’

Prior to his Glastonbury return last month Lewis also released brand new track Survive, which details his difficult two years – and it’s been a huge hit with millions of fans across the country as it topped the charts.

Speaking about his return to the festival Lewis added:  ‘I really wanted to come back and do Glastonbury as like a mental win – finish the thing that I couldn’t finish before.’

During his two year hiatus Lewis has undergone a lot of therapy and worked on coming to terms and dealing with his Tourette’s.

He continued: 'In a weird way, it's probably the best thing that's ever happened to me. I wouldn't have stopped otherwise'

He has also reduced his alcohol intake, prioritised his fitness and swapped antidepressants for anti-psychotic meds that finally worked.

He continued: ‘I do therapy every week which has been really beneficial for me. That’s really maybe the biggest thing that’s switched everything around.’

‘This is what’s great about my current therapist. He can sense when I’m being avoidant. He pulls me back in and is saying “there’s a reason you’re being wishy washy here’”‘.

The star also revealed he has come off anti-depressants and switched to ant1psychotic medication.

‘It was really scary when they offered it. Ant1psychotic? I’m like ‘I’m not psychotic’. It’s changed my life. Anxiety levels are so low these days. I don’t feel the stress.’

And Lewis is back with a bang with his comeback tour selling out in seconds earlier this month.

The star is set to perform 17 dates across the UK and Ireland in September as he returns to the stage two years after taking a break for his mental health.

His dedicated fans had every single ticket in their baskets by one second past 9am, Lewis revealed, so the star added extra dates – but even those shows sold out in record time, with the tour being his ‘fastest selling ever’.

UNBELIEVABLE: Lorraine Kelly “R!PS APΛRT” Gregg Wallace with 2 CHILLING WORDS – fans in fiery clash!

Lorraine Kelly took a swipe at ‘strange and inappropriate’ Gregg Wallace on her breakfast show on Tuesday.

The TV presenter, 65, shared her views on the axed MasterChef host’s BBC sacking and blasted his string of ‘bizarre’ statements.

Gregg hit out at the BBC on Monday after a probe upheld more than half of the complaints of inappropriate behaviour against him as he warned he ‘won’t be the last’ to be cncelled.

The report into Gregg’s behaviour on the cooking show upheld 45 out of 83 complaints made, including one count of ‘unw2nted phys1cal contact’, leaving the BBC to admit it ‘could and should have’ acted sooner on the MasterChef host.

The damning investigation also found that two complaints about the behaviour of ‘other people’ were upheld.

Speaking about the scandal, Lorraine said: ‘Gregg Wallace has released a statement, many statements. He’s tried to get ahead of this a lot and he’s said many, in my opinion, inappropriate things.’

‘It’s just quite strange because he has a little boy who has autism as well – I find that bizarre, I find that very strange.

‘What’s interesting though is those around him who enabled him to be like that’, Lorraine added.

While apologising for any ‘distress’ he caused, Gregg took aim at the MasterChef broadcaster, which he claims has valued ‘protecting its legacy’ over ‘protecting people’.

Warning that it was ‘dangerous’ to be a ‘working-class man with a direct manner’ in the world of broadcasting, he said he ‘won’t be the last’ to face cncellation.

The presenter said: ‘In the end, the BBC left me exposed to tr1al by med1a and the damage it leaves in its wake.

‘To those who’ve shown kindness, thank you. It mattered. This has been brutal. For a working-class man with a direct manner, modern broadcasting has become a dangerous place. I was the headline this time. But I won’t be the last.

‘There will be more cas::alt1es if the BBC continues down this path, where protecting its legacy matters more than protecting people. For my part, with full legal support, I will consider my next move.’

Patrick Holland, CEO of MasterChef production company Banijay, said he was ‘extremely sorry’ to those who had been impacted by Wallace’s behaviour and added that the report makes the star’s ‘return to MasterChef untenable’.

Wallace’s statement, supplied to the PA news agency before being published on Instagram, noted that he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’ anyone and that he was ‘deeply sorry for any distress caused’.

He said his ‘late autism diagnosis’ – which he received while he stepped back from MasterChef at the end of last year – has helped him to understand how he communicates and how he is perceived.

He said: ‘For eight months, my family and I have lived under a cloud. Tr1al by m3dia, fuelled by rumour and clickbait. None of the serious allegations against me were upheld.

‘I challenged the remaining issue of unwanted touching but have had to accept a difference in perception, and I am deeply sorry for any distress caused. It was never intended.

‘I’m relieved that the Banijay report fully recognises that my behaviour changed profoundly in 2018.

‘Some of my humour and language missed the mark. I never set out to harm or humiliate. I always tried to bring warmth and support to MasterChef, on screen and off.

‘After nearly 20 years on the show, I now see that certain patterns, shaped by traits I’ve only recently begun to understand, may have been misread. I also accept that more could have been done, by others and by myself, to address concerns earlier.

‘A late autism diagnosis has helped me understand how I communicate and how I’m perceived. I’m still learning. Banijay have given me great support, and I thank them.’

Mr Wallace also took aim at the BBC, which he claims valued ‘protecting its legacy’ over ‘protecting people’

    What did the report conclude?

An independent report commissioned by Banijay UK assessed 83 allegations against Wallace – of which 45 were substantiated.

The substantiated allegations, spanning from 2005 to 2024, included:

    One allegation of unwanted touching
12 claims he made inappropriate jokes and innuendos
16 reports of s3xually explicit remarks
Two allegations he made s3xualised comments to or about someone
Four complaints of culturally insensitive or rac1st comments
Three claims that he was in a state of undress
    Seven allegations of b::llying

Wallace’s fiery statement comes just days after he said he would ‘not go quietly’ in a post which has since been deleted from his Instagram page.

The BBC said the investigation into a ‘substantial number of allegations of inappropriate conduct’ over 19 years highlighted behaviour that falls below the corporation’s values.

‘Although the full extent of these issues were not known at the relevant time, opportunities were missed to address this behaviour – both by the production companies running MasterChef and the BBC,’ a spokesman added.

‘We accept more could and should have been done sooner.’

The corporation would not confirm whether they will broadcast the series of MasterChef they filmed with him last Autumn.

A spokesman for Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Downing Street welcomed the fact the BBC had ‘severed ties’ with Wallace, adding: ‘We’re clear that appropriate steps must be taken to ensure abuses of power are prevented from happening in the future.’

The seven-month investigation, conducted by law firm Lewis Silkin, heard 83 allegations from 41 complainants against Wallace, all relating to his time on the cookery programme.

It also found that 10 standalone allegations were made against ‘other people’, from 2012 to 2019, with two claims, relating to swearing and rac1st language being upheld.

The majority of the allegations against Mr Wallace (94 per cent) related to behaviour which is said to have occurred between 2005 and 2018. Only one allegation was substantiated post 2018.

The majority of substantiated allegations related to inappropriate s3xual language and humour. A smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated. One allegation of unw2nted phys1cal c0ntact was substantiated.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said the allegations against Wallace were ‘horrendous and appalling’, and she welcomed the BBC’s decision to end its association with the MasterChef presenter.

The investigation team found evidence that during the period from 2005 to 2024, six complaints were raised with the production company and 6 with the BBC (four of which had also been raised with the production company).

However, the investigator found that ‘there was a tendency to address the concern informally on a case-by-case basis and not therefore consider each issue as additive to any prior allegations or to matters which had been observed by senior members of staff’.

More formal action was taken by the production company in 2015 and the BBC in 2017.

Wallace was diagnosed with autism during the time of the investigation and the report found that this was ‘highly relevant’ in the context of the findings.

They said: ‘Mr Wallace’s neurodiversity diagnosis is considered highly relevant in the context of the findings made, particularly regarding his use of humour as a ‘masking’ technique and his difficulty in reading social cues.

‘Mr Wallace accepts that his diagnosis may help to explain some of his actions, but he does not wish to hide behind it.’

The categories of allegations were separated in seven categories which included inappropriate comments (jokes and innuendo), s3xually explicit comments, being in a state of undress, s3xualised comments made to or about someone, culturally insensitive / rac1st comments, b::llying, unw2nted phys1cal contact.

The majority of the substantiated allegations against Mr Wallace related to inappropriate s3xual language and humour, however, a smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language, being in a state of undress and unwelcome physical contact were also substantiated.

Out of the 45 upheld complaints, 27 occurred between 2005 to 2011, 17 from 2012 to 2018 and just one from 2019 to 2024.

Overall, the report concluded that 16 s3xually explicit comments, 12 inappropriate comments, two s3xualised comments to or about someone and four culturally insensitive/rac1st comments were made.

One incident of unwelcome physical contact and three incidents of being in a state of undress were also substantiated.

While, seven cases of b::llying were upheld.

Prior to 2016, the investigation found that there was little or no formal training or clear escalation procedures in place, leading to underreporting of inappropriate behaviour.

It also added that concerns were not always flagged to Wallace meaning he was ‘not necessarily aware that his behaviour had caused offence’.

The report found that many contestants felt unable to speak out on MasterChef because ‘their desire to do well in the competition, meant that they were unlikely to complain or allow their reactions to show.’

Karen Baxter, the head of investigations at Lewis Silkin, who conducted the report did find that after the BBC warned Wallace about his behaviour in 2017 that he did change his behaviour.

She said: ‘There is evidence which shows that Mr Wallace took some proactive steps to modify his behaviour, seek guidance from colleagues on his choice of language, and to remove himself from work-related social situations.’

Patrick Holland, CEO Banijay UK said: ‘In earlier years, specifically prior to 2016 where the vast majority of these issues arose, it is clear that escalation procedures were not as robust as they should have been, and awareness of policies and procedures were lacking particularly amongst freelance staff. ‘

A spokesman for the BBC said: ‘We welcome the publication of the findings by Lewis Silkin, following the investigation into the conduct of Gregg Wallace.

‘In light of these findings, Banijay UK and the BBC have agreed Mr Wallace’s return to MasterChef is untenable. The BBC has informed Mr Wallace we have no plans to work with him in future.

‘The investigation details a substantial number of allegations of inappropriate conduct spanning 19 years. This behaviour falls below the values of the BBC and the expectations we have for anyone who works with or for us.

‘Although the full extent of these issues were not known at the relevant time, opportunities were missed to address this behaviour – both by the production companies running MasterChef and the BBC. We accept more could and should have been done sooner.

‘We want to thank all those who took part in the investigation, including those who first raised concerns directly with the BBC in November last year. We apologise to everyone who has been impacted by Mr Wallace’s behaviour.

Gregg Wallace released a statement last week ahead of the Silkins report coming out

‘Lewis Silkin’s findings include two further allegations which were upheld, relating to other individuals. The BBC takes these findings very seriously and we have asked Banijay UK to take action to address these issues, which is underway. This will be completed as a priority.

‘The BBC will not be commenting further at this stage, but we are clear we expect the highest standards of respect at work to be upheld on the production.

‘At this stage we are not going to make a final decision on the broadcast of the series that was filmed last year. We know this is disappointing for fans of the show and those who took part and at the appropriate time Banijay UK will consult further with the amateur contestants.

‘In April the BBC published a detailed response to an independent review of workplace culture, which reinforces expectations around behaviour and that we will act more decisively when standards are not met. This also requires all TV production partners to align with the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA) standards.

‘We want to reaffirm, there is no place for the abuse of power, unacceptable behaviour or language at the BBC, or shows made for the BBC.’
