EXCLUSIVE BREAKING: Secret Summit between Harry’s Top Aides and King Charles could shift the Royal balance!

A meeting between King Charles and Prince Harry’s senior aides came amid a charm offensive by the Sussexes to turn around their negative public image, the Mail understands.

Harry and Meghan’s new chief of communications, Meredith Maines, met with Tobyn Andreae, the King’s communications secretary, at the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) a three-minute walk from Clarence House, the monarch’s London residence on Wednesday.

Also present was Liam Maguire, who runs the Sussexes’ PR team in the UK. Images of the rendezvous raised hopes of a reconciliation between Harry, 40, and his father, 76.

The extraordinary summit came after Ms Maines, who is head of Harry’s household in Montecito, California, flew to the UK earlier in the week for a series of meetings alongside Mr Maguire, their new ‘UK and Europe communications manager’.

These included British business and charitable partners, as well as a host of London-based press and television journalists.

Their itinerary suggests that the couple – Harry in particular – are launching a new charm offensive on the UK in a bid to turn around their negative public image.

The Mail understands it was subsequently suggested that a meeting with Buckingham Palace’s director of communications, Mr Andreae, might be possible while Ms Maines was in the UK.

This is not as surprising as it might initially seem.

Even after the Sussexes’ acrimonious departure from the Royal family, tentative ‘lines of communication’ were kept open between the palace press office and the duke and duchess’ PR team on occasional matters of importance.

However in recent years these have all but dwindled out in the wake of Harry’s repeated and increasingly vitriolic attacks on his family, as well as the institution of the monarchy.

His latest, with the BBC, in which he blamed his recent decisive defeat in the British courts over his ongoing security in the UK on an ‘establishment stitch-up’ and insensitively raised the issue of how long his father has to live, went down extremely badly in royal circles.

While understandably wary, it is understood that the palace believed a tentative meeting was sensible in the circumstances – if only to re-open those channels once again with yet another new Sussex PR team, following another series of enforced departures both in California and the UK.

There was ‘considerable surprise’ and a ‘weary resignation’ amongst senior courtiers to see details and pictures of Wednesday’s meeting, which was such a closely-guarded secret, published in the media at the weekend.

Senior officials on all sides have repeatedly declined to say whether Prince William’s team at Kensington Palace were aware that the meeting was going ahead, even if they were not represented.

One source stressed to the Mail that the relationship between father and son was ‘inevitably different’ to that of the siblings.

It has also been noted that while angry and not wishing at present to make any sort of personal overtures to his brother, William has on a number of occasions over the years made magnanimous gestures of kindness towards him, despite huge provocation, including inviting Harry and Meghan to meet mourners and collect flowers at Windsor Castle following the death of Queen Elizabeth.

Harry is next due back in the UK in September for the annual WellChild events, raising the prospect of meeting his father for the first time in 18 months.

The 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham is another opportunity for a public reconciliation. The Duke is said to have sent email invitations to Buckingham Palace in the hope that it will give the King sufficient time to fit the event into his busy schedule.

While the meeting was significant, it is understood it was largely to ‘open a channel of communication’ after Harry said in a BBC interview his father would not speak to him, and to discuss how to avoid media clashes and conflicts around calendar dates.

Harry and Meghan are said to be frustrated after the meeting was caught on camera in pictures published by the Mail on Sunday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex denied leaking details of the rendezvous.

Adolescence star Owen Cooper is odds-on to become one of the youngest Emmy Award nominees ever when the shortlist is announced on Tuesday.

The Warrington schoolboy, 15, would be the youngest-ever male winner in the 76-year history of the ‘TV Oscars‘ and the award would be for his first acting job.

The youngest person ever to have won a Primetime Emmy is Roxana Zal, who at just 14 scored the Best Supporting Actress gong in 1984 for her role TV movie Something About Amelia.

MailOnline previously revealed that Adolescence star would be entered in the Best Supporting Actor category, as opposed to Best Actor, which experts hailed as a ‘genius move’ and said would massively boost his chances of winning.

As the teen looks set to break records at the swanky ceremony, how many other these child nominees can you remember?

The Cosby Show’s Keshia, now 46, is the youngest person ever to be nominated for an Emmy after landing the nod at the age of just six for her role as Rudy Huxtable in the iconic NBC sitcom.

After The Cosby Show ended in 1992, she continued to find work as an actress, starring in films such as Beauty Shop and Madea Goes To Jail and TV’s Tyler Perry’s House Of Payne.

She did however refused to defend the man himself, and acknowledged that Cosby had been with other women over the course of his 53 year marriage to wife Camille.

When asked how she was able to stand by Cosby’s side despite all the women who have accused him of assault and his own admission that he had given drugs to females he wanted to have sex with, Pulliam said it was because the man is her family.

SH0CK: “This is going to ruin the tour!” – Backstage VIDEO of Justin Timberlake L0SING TEMPER with Crew goes viral, sparking fierce debate!

Justin Timberlake didn’t appear to in sync with his crew during a recent show, as he  was caught on camera in an intense exchange during an English music festival earlier this month.

The 10-time Grammy winner, 44, was said to be ‘fuming’ amid technical issues in a TikTok clip posted July 5.

Timberlake could be seen passionately chatting onstage with crew members at England’s Lytham Festival after sound issues impacted his performance of the hit song Cry Me a River.

Timberlake breached industry protocols with the conduct seen in the TikTok clip, said one commenter.

‘Losing it with your support crew is considered highly unprofessional in the world of stage performance,’ a user said.

Another commenter argued Timberlake was ‘justified’ in being irritated with the crew, who had hours to prepare for the event.

Others said he was overreacting to a minor technical snafu, with one user saying Timberlake appeared to be ‘mad about anything and everything’ during his outing at the festival.

The most popular comment alluded to Timberlake’s remark upon getting arr3sted for drunken driving in June of 2024 – as he said, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’

Fan feedback to the clip on the TikTok post was mixed, as some people said the Memphis, Tennessee native relatively kept his cool.

‘He hardly looks like he’s losing it,’ one user said. ‘Just annoyed. I would be too.’

Another user defended Timberlake’s passion in wanting to put on the best possible show for his fans.

‘I don’t blame him for being a bit peeved he’s trying to entertain his fans that paid money to see him,’ said the user said.

One user credited Timberlake’s attention to detail, saying that he ‘probably saved everyone getting an earache.’

Another said that the pop veteran was ‘an absolute star’ as he took the stage at the summer music festival, calling him ‘brilliant’ and ‘so professional.’

SH!T – Danny Dyer’s sh0cking EastEnders revelations leave fans Chilled to the bone!

Danny Dyer has teased season two of smash hit  series Rivals and lifted the lid on his career reinvention since his EastEnders exit in 2022.

The actor, 47, who plays Freddie Jones in the saucy Disney+ show, reassured fans that they have no need to worry about the new instalment failing to live up to its predecessor.

He told Radio Times: ‘I can’t reveal much, but what I will say is that we’ve got no issues with the old second album syndrome. I’ve been blessed with a lovely character. He’s not the lead and he doesn’t need to be the lead, same as Katherine [Parkinson who plays love interest, Lizzie Vereker]’.

Danny, who won a BAFTA earlier this year for Sky comedy Mr Bigstuff, also revealed there would be a ‘bit more’ of his character’s love life in the new episodes.

He also spoke about his other roles including the sole character in a new movie, which he said had first been offered to Oscar winner Sir Gary Oldman, 67.

He told the publication: ‘Fifteen pages of dialogue a day. Crazy. We shot it in Dublin. I just sat in the hotel room with the script. Went crazy by the end. I believe they went to Gary Oldman first. They told me he wanted £2 million just to read it’.

Alongside the interview Danny looked dapper in a suit as he posed for a fun shoot in a pub with Mr Bigstuff co-star and creator Ryan Sampson.

Danny starred as Mick Carter in the BBC soap for nine years, earning a whopping quarter of a million pounds a year at the height of his stint, before his explosive exit on Christmas Day 2022.

Earlier this year he reflected on his decision to quit the BBC soap after he won his BAFTA and beat off stiff competition from Bilal Hasna, Dylan Thomas-Smith, Nabhaan Rizwan, Oliver Savell and Phil Dunning.

Speaking in the press room after his win, Danny reflected on his varied career as he mused: You’re only as good as the job in front of you really and it’s getting the opportunities.

‘It’s also difficult to just get a job and so to get to this stage when you’re getting awards and stuff, it is a journey.’

Referencing his time on the BBC soap, he continued: ‘I’ve been around a long time and EastEnders changed my career for so many different reasons but unless you roll the dice and you decide to see what else is out there, you never know…

‘It’s working out really well for me at the moment. I’m having a lovely time but it can always go tits up. I know how this game works, I’ve had my ups and my downs but I’m just really grateful for it.’

Danny hasn’t had much positive to say about the soap, as he slammed the workload, declared he had been ‘off his nut’ on prescription drugs and had ended up in rehab twice because of the show.

Calling out co-stars Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie, Danny brazenly branded them ‘c***s’ as he claimed they had blanked both him and his onscreen wife Kellie Bright.

Recalling his arrival on the soap in 2013, the Rivals star said it was not a warm welcome, describing the set as ‘a very cliquey place to work’.

He claimed his taking over the Queen Vic caused Jessie and Shane, who played previous pub landlords Kat Slater and Alfie Moon, to ‘have the hump’.

According to The Sun, Danny boldly said: ‘There were a lot of people blanking us when we first turned up and me and Kellie thought “You know what, f**k these c***s, let’s get together and show them something different” – we had to prove ourselves over six months.’

Danny also hit out at the soap opera’s storylines, particularly Mick’s ‘mental’ romance with Janine Butcher, insisting ‘a lot of it is s**t’.

As well as being unimpressed with his own character’s fate, he raged over the decision to kl off Lola Pearce last year from a brain tumour, which he said ‘wasted’ actress Danielle Harold’s talents.

The Sun also claimed he slammed the BBC for not giving the cast sufficient duty of care, claiming they wouldn’t allow actors time off to go to a family member’s funeral – allegations which the BBC has denied.

Danny – who was paid around £250,000 a year on the soap – said that while the salary was good, the stars had ‘no life’ and claimed the dark storylines ‘messed lots of people’s heads up’, insisting they were ‘lunat1cs’.

‘You earn good money, but you ain’t got time to go to a cashpoint, you have no life,’ he said.

‘There’s not much duty of care, that’s the truth, on EastEnders there is no messing about and you’ve got to do it, it’s the hardest part of our job.’

‘It messes a lot of people’s heads up, most people are off their nut, you meet them on the street, they’re lunat1cs I’m telling you – institutionalised,’ he added.

He also claimed that bosses put antiseptic into the beer barrels in the Queen Vic in order to prevent him from drinking from them.

In response to Danny’s comments, a spokesperson for EastEnders stated: ‘We would never discuss an individual’s private matters, however, we do not recognise these claims.

‘EastEnders has extremely robust and well-established procedures in place to safeguard the welfare of everyone who works on the show.’

Danny also spoke about EastEnders on the BAFTAs red carpet.

He told Sky News: ‘It’s a roll of the dice leaving EastEnders it gives you sustainability but it is a risk and it has paid off for me.

‘I don’t know what is going on at the minute, I’m just rolling with it at the minute, it is a bit odd. I’m so proud of this Sky show and I’m happy to represent that show and I’ve got the Rivals lot here, I’ve just seen them.

‘Two very different shows, I’ve been around a long time and I’ve done good and some bad stuff. I’ve had a good run this year, I’m getting nods now and I would love to nip this one but I’ve got to stay grounded and keep the ego grounded.’

A mother who received a botched Botox treatment nearly killed herself and her two young kids when she experienced double vision behind the wheel following the injections.

On Monday’s edition of This Morning, presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley hosted a segment about the fake treatments currently being offered – and their dangers.

They were joined on the daytime programme’s sofa by three women who have all been affected from the procedures.

Opening the segment, the hosts told viewers how of 2,000 were surveyed, 15% had to attend hospital following their anti-wrinkle injections, many of which turned out to be counterfeit product.

Half of them took place in non-clinical settings and half required some kind of medical assistance afterwards, the shocking findings revealed.

Ben, 50, and Cat, 48, then introduced Nicola, Lyndsey and Kayleigh to the show to speak about their own horror stories.

However, they were left visibly stunned when mum-of-two Kayleigh revealed she experienced double vision while driving her car with her two kids on board.

She explained: ‘I went to a hair salon, it was my fourth time going to her when something went wrong.

‘I felt like she was rushing, stabbing me in the head with the needle. Really rough. I was driving my son and had my baby in the back when I had double vision. I could see two buses in front of me.

‘Then I had really bad vertigo, felt dizzy. I couldn’t open my eye, I thought I was going to go blind. I went for a CT scan at hospital, which came back alright. I was treated with antibiotics for meningitis.’

Kayleigh then told how they had actually injected into the wrong muscle, which resulted in her eye drooping.

She continued: ‘They sent us home hoping I would get better, but it got worse. I went back a week later after the worst week of my life.

‘I went to an eye infirmary who sent me to hospital. I’ve had an eye patch for five weeks, I’m waiting for my nerves to regenerate. I’d rather have my eyesight than some lines on my face.’

Recalling her experience, Lyndsey said: ‘The ‘Botox’ kicked in straight away, within hours. (Should take 10 days). Recommended by someone who said she was really good.

‘I got mine on Sunday, by Thursday I was getting headaches, they got worse and worse. By the Wednesday I was gasping for breath and had no energy. It was botulism. There were a few girls there with the same thing.

‘I don’t think they know a lot about it, it’s rare. Six weeks later I’m still exhausted and a struggling to swallow food.’

Natasha added: ‘I was exhausted, had a drooping eye, it was difficult to swallow food. I’d been diagnosed with different things but I saw a social media post explaining botulism – I had every single symptom. We had to wait for an anti-toxin – they had run out.’

She then urged viewers: ‘Go to someone properly trained.’

After hearing all three women recall their scary experiences, This Morning’s resident doctor Zoe Williams offered her advice.

She said: ‘We expect to see botulism once in our medical career. It’s a type of bacteria that produces a toxin that you can ingest.

‘Because it is now used in these Botox injections… when they’re used properly the risk is almost unheard of. But now it’s unregulated, anyone can get their hands on fake products.’

Dr Zoe continued: ‘Our producers bought two vials from South Korea that aren’t licensed in the UK. We ordered it on WhatsApp, was with us in a few days. There’s been a huge surge in cases – improper technique, wrong setting, unregulated product.

‘You should be having this done by a doctor, nurse or dentist. Ask questions, what is the product, can I see it?’

Botulism is a rare but serious infection caused by a bacterial toxin that attacks the nervous system and is mostly commonly a result of food or wound contamination.

Common symptoms of botulism include difficulty swallowing, muscle weakness, double vision, drooping eyelids, blurry vision, slurred speech, difficulty breathing, and trouble moving the eyes, according to the CDC.

In cases of foodborne botulism, these symptoms of typically begin 12 to 36 hours after the toxin enters the body depending on the level of exposure to the toxin.

If left untreated, the infection can cause muscle weakness, paralysis and in certain cases, death.

Patients who are paralyzed need to relearn how to walk, talk, and perform everyday tasks.

Gregg Wallace‘s fellow MasterChef presenter John Torode has come out to say he has also been accused of misconduct – but denies all wrongdoing and is refusing to quit.

Mr Torode is ‘shocked’ by the allegation which reportedly states he used racial language in a social situation.

He took to Instagram to say: ‘Following publication of the Executive Summary of the Investigation into Gregg Wallace while working on MasterChef, I am aware of speculation that I am one of the two other individuals against whom an allegation has been upheld.

‘For the sake of transparency I confirm that I am the individual who is alleged to have used racial language on one occasion.

‘The allegation is that I did so sometime in 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards.’

Mr Torode went on to say he had ‘absolutely no recollection’ of the incident and did ‘not believe it happened’.

He added: ‘I want to be clear that I’ve always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment.

‘I’m shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence.’

Mr Torode claimed he had ‘absolutely no recollection’ of the incident and did ‘not believe it happened’

The allegation is understood to have been upheld in a report as part of a review into the behaviour of Mr Torode’s former co-presenter Gregg Wallace.

It comes after Wallace hit out at the BBC as the probe upheld more than half of the complaints of inappropriate behaviour against him, with the presenter warning he ‘won’t be the last’ to be cancelled.

The report into Wallace’s behaviour on the cooking show upheld 45 out of 83 complaints made, including one count of ‘unw2nted phys1cal c0ntact’, leaving the BBC to admit it ‘could and should have’ acted sooner on the MasterChef host.

The damning investigation also found that two complaints about the behaviour of ‘other people’ were upheld.

While apologising for any ‘distress’ he caused, Wallace has taken aim at the MasterChef broadcaster, which he claims has valued ‘protecting its legacy’ over ‘protecting people’.

Warning that it was ‘dangerous’ to be a ‘working-class man with a direct manner’ in the world of broadcasting, he said he ‘won’t be the last’ to face cancellation.

The presenter said: ‘In the end, the BBC left me exposed to trial by media and the damage it leaves in its wake.

‘To those who’ve shown kindness, thank you. It mattered. This has been brutal. For a working-class man with a direct manner, modern broadcasting has become a dangerous place. I was the headline this time. But I won’t be the last.

‘There will be more casualties if the BBC continues down this path, where protecting its legacy matters more than protecting people. For my part, with full legal support, I will consider my next move.’

Patrick Holland, CEO of MasterChef production company Banijay, said he was ‘extremely sorry’ to those who had been impacted by Wallace’s behaviour and added that the report makes the star’s ‘return to MasterChef untenable’.

Wallace’s statement, supplied to the PA news agency before being published on Instagram, noted that he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’ anyone and that he was ‘deeply sorry for any distress caused’.

He said his ‘late autism diagnosis’ – which he received while he stepped back from MasterChef at the end of last year – has helped him to understand how he communicates and how he is perceived.

He said: ‘For eight months, my family and I have lived under a cloud. Trial by media, fuelled by rumour and clickbait. None of the serious allegations against me were upheld.

‘I challenged the remaining issue of unwanted touching but have had to accept a difference in perception, and I am deeply sorry for any distress caused. It was never intended.

‘I’m relieved that the Banijay report fully recognises that my behaviour changed profoundly in 2018.

‘Some of my humour and language missed the mark. I never set out to harm or humiliate. I always tried to bring warmth and support to MasterChef, on screen and off.

‘After nearly 20 years on the show, I now see that certain patterns, shaped by traits I’ve only recently begun to understand, may have been misread. I also accept that more could have been done, by others and by myself, to address concerns earlier.

‘A late autism diagnosis has helped me understand how I communicate and how I’m perceived. I’m still learning. Banijay have given me great support, and I thank them.’

Wallace’s fiery statement comes just days after he said he would ‘not go quietly’ in a post which has since been deleted from his Instagram page.

The BBC said the investigation into a ‘substantial number of allegations of inappropriate conduct’ over 19 years highlighted behaviour that falls below the corporation’s values.

‘Although the full extent of these issues were not known at the relevant time, opportunities were missed to address this behaviour – both by the production companies running MasterChef and the BBC,’ a spokesman added.

‘We accept more could and should have been done sooner.’

    What did the report conclude?

An independent report commissioned by Banijay UK assessed 83 allegations against Wallace – of which 45 were substantiated.

The substantiated allegations, spanning from 2005 to 2024, included:

    One allegation of unwanted touching
12 claims he made inappropriate jokes and innuendos
16 reports of s3xually explicit remarks
Two allegations he made s3xualised comments to or about someone
Four complaints of culturally insensitive or racist comments
Three claims that he was in a state of undress
    Seven allegations of b::llying

The corporation would not confirm whether they will broadcast the series of MasterChef they filmed with him last Autumn.

A spokesman for Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Downing Street welcomed the fact the BBC had ‘severed ties’ with Wallace, adding: ‘We’re clear that appropriate steps must be taken to ensure abuses of power are prevented from happening in the future.’

The seven-month investigation, conducted by law firm Lewis Silkin, heard 83 allegations from 41 complainants against Wallace, all relating to his time on the cookery programme.

It also found that 10 standalone allegations were made against ‘other people’, from 2012 to 2019, with two claims, relating to swearing and racist language being upheld.

The majority of the allegations against Mr Wallace (94 per cent) related to behaviour which is said to have occurred between 2005 and 2018. Only one allegation was substantiated post 2018.

The majority of substantiated allegations related to inappropriate s3xual language and humour. A smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated. One allegation of unwanted physical contact was substantiated.

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said the allegations against Gregg Wallace were ‘horrendous and appalling’, and she welcomed the BBC’s decision to end its association with the MasterChef presenter.

The investigation team found evidence that during the period from 2005 to 2024, six complaints were raised with the production company and 6 with the BBC (four of which had also been raised with the production company).

However, the investigator found that ‘there was a tendency to address the concern informally on a case-by-case basis and not therefore consider each issue as additive to any prior allegations or to matters which had been observed by senior members of staff’.

More formal action was taken by the production company in 2015 and the BBC in 2017.

Wallace was diagnosed with autism during the time of the investigation and the report found that this was ‘highly relevant’ in the context of the findings.

They said: ‘Mr Wallace’s neurodiversity diagnosis is considered highly relevant in the context of the findings made, particularly regarding his use of humour as a ‘masking’ technique and his difficulty in reading social cues.

‘Mr Wallace accepts that his diagnosis may help to explain some of his actions, but he does not wish to hide behind it.’

The categories of allegations were separated in seven categories which included inappropriate comments (jokes and innuendo), s3xually explicit comments, being in a state of undress, s3xualised comments made to or about someone, culturally insensitive / racist comments, b::llying, unwanted physical contact.

The majority of the substantiated allegations against Mr Wallace related to inappropriate s3xual language and humour, however, a smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language, being in a state of undress and unwelcome physical contact were also substantiated.

Out of the 45 upheld complaints, 27 occurred between 2005 to 2011, 17 from 2012 to 2018 and just one from 2019 to 2024.

Overall, the report concluded that 16 s3xually explicit comments, 12 inappropriate comments, two s3xualised comments to or about someone and four culturally insensitive/racist comments were made.

One incident of unwelcome physical contact and three incidents of being in a state of undress were also substantiated.

While, seven cases of b;:llying were upheld.

Prior to 2016, the investigation found that there was little or no formal training or clear escalation procedures in place, leading to underreporting of inappropriate behaviour.

It also added that concerns were not always flagged to Wallace meaning he was ‘not necessarily aware that his behaviour had caused offence’.

The report found that many contestants felt unable to speak out on MasterChef because ‘their desire to do well in the competition, meant that they were unlikely to complain or allow their reactions to show.’

Karen Baxter, the head of investigations at Lewis Silkin, who conducted the report did find that after the BBC warned Wallace about his behaviour in 2017 that he did change his behaviour.

She said: ‘There is evidence which shows that Mr Wallace took some proactive steps to modify his behaviour, seek guidance from colleagues on his choice of language, and to remove himself from work-related social situations.’

Patrick Holland, CEO Banijay UK said: ‘In earlier years, specifically prior to 2016 where the vast majority of these issues arose, it is clear that escalation procedures were not as robust as they should have been, and awareness of policies and procedures were lacking particularly amongst freelance staff. ‘

A spokesman for the BBC said: ‘We welcome the publication of the findings by Lewis Silkin, following the investigation into the conduct of Gregg Wallace.

‘In light of these findings, Banijay UK and the BBC have agreed Mr Wallace’s return to MasterChef is untenable. The BBC has informed Mr Wallace we have no plans to work with him in future.

‘The investigation details a substantial number of allegations of inappropriate conduct spanning 19 years. This behaviour falls below the values of the BBC and the expectations we have for anyone who works with or for us.

‘Although the full extent of these issues were not known at the relevant time, opportunities were missed to address this behaviour – both by the production companies running MasterChef and the BBC. We accept more could and should have been done sooner.

‘We want to thank all those who took part in the investigation, including those who first raised concerns directly with the BBC in November last year. We apologise to everyone who has been impacted by Mr Wallace’s behaviour.

Gregg Wallace released a statement last week ahead of the Silkins report coming out

‘Lewis Silkin’s findings include two further allegations which were upheld, relating to other individuals. The BBC takes these findings very seriously and we have asked Banijay UK to take action to address these issues, which is underway. This will be completed as a priority.

‘The BBC will not be commenting further at this stage, but we are clear we expect the highest standards of respect at work to be upheld on the production.

‘At this stage we are not going to make a final decision on the broadcast of the series that was filmed last year. We know this is disappointing for fans of the show and those who took part and at the appropriate time Banijay UK will consult further with the amateur contestants.

‘In April the BBC published a detailed response to an independent review of workplace culture, which reinforces expectations around behaviour and that we will act more decisively when standards are not met. This also requires all TV production partners to align with the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA) standards.

‘We want to reaffirm, there is no place for the abuse of power, unacceptable behaviour or language at the BBC, or shows made for the BBC.’

MasterChef star John Torode has broken his silence after a report by the BBC was published. It comes as it was speculated that the 59-year-old was one of two other individuals, besides Gregg Wallace, who had an allegati0n upheld against them.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the TV presenter shared that he had been accused of making a rac1st remark in 2018 or 2019. Torode confirmed the rumours, as he said it was “for the sake of transparency”. He also noted that he apologised immediately after the event and claims that the person he was speaking with did not believe he made the remark in a “malicious way”. However, Torode also claimed that he had “no recollection” of any of it, adding: “I do not believe that it happened.”

His statement, in full, read: “Following publication of the Executive Summary of the investigation into Gregg Wallace while working on MasterChef, I am aware of speculation that I am one of the two other individuals against whom an allegati0n has been upheld.

“For the sake of transparency, I confirm that I am the individual who is alleged to have used rac1al language on one occasion. The allegati0n is that I did so sometime in 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and that the person I was speaking with did not believe that it was intended in a malicious way and that I apologised immediately afterwards.

“I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I’ve always had the view that any rac1al language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. I’m shocked and saddened by the allegati0n as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence.”

It comes as MasterChef’s production company Banijay ordered an inquest after more than 80 complaints were made regarding Wallace’s behaviour. It found that 45 of the allegati0ns were upheld, resulting in his sacking from the BBC show.

The 60-year-old broke his silence after the report was published and has admitted he “never set out to harm or humiliate”. He added that he is “deeply sorry for any distress”.

Wallace, who was diagnosed with autism during the investigation, told PA: “For eight months, my family and I have lived under a cloud. Trial by media, fuelled by rumour and clickbait. None of the serious allegati0ns against me were upheld.

“I challenged the remaining issue of unwanted touching, but have had to accept a difference in perception, and I am deeply sorry for any distress caused. It was never intended.”

Earlier today, the BBC confirmed Wallace would not return to any of its programmes and admitted opportunities had been missed to deal with his behaviour. The broadcasters also said the number of sustained allegati0ns made his return to MasterChef “untenable”.

NBA sh0cker: Durant leaves Suns, Beal nears free agency – Lakers eyeing a “big hit”?

The Phoenix Suns entered the offseason expected to make major changes to their roster and that is exactly what they have done thus far.

Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets and they then acquired Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets on draft night before selecting Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea.

With Durant now gone, the Suns officially ended the big three era of him, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal and by the time next season begins, Booker may be the only one remaining.

That is due to reports that Beal and the Suns are approaching a contract buyout that would make him a free agent.

If that ends up being the case, many teams are expected to show interest in the star guard though Fox Sports’ Jason Mcyntire believes that he would be a perfect fit with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Bradley Beal is the missing piece, you can just go ahead and get the parade ready for the Lakers if they get Bradley Beal,” Mcyntire said.

This is a bold take by Mcyntire and one that does not make a ton of sense as Beal did not fit well next to Durant and Booker, let alone his potential fit with Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Of course, Beal needs to have the ball in his hands at a high rate for him to have an impact, which was shown last season when the Suns moved him to the bench as their main guy in the second rotation.

That could end up being the case in Los Angeles, especially due to Austin Reaves filling the starting shooting guard position, though Beal may want to sign with a team where he is guaranteed a starting spot.

Either way, Beal’s fit in Los Angeles is a questionable one but the Lakers may still take a chance on him if he reaches a buyout with the Suns this summer.
