The woman explained: ‘Liz Dawn was my favourite. She would stop and chat and sign autographs for every single person that approached her. She was lovely to all the staff.’

She added: ‘Other customers would say she could be served before them in the queue and she would say no, saying that she liked to queue and behave normally when she wasn’t in work’

Liz played the iconic role of Vera Duckworth and was married to Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey), living at 9 Coronation Street.

She departed the role in 2008 after a whopping 34 years on the cobbles.

At the time, she had been battling lung disease emphysema. Liz d13d in 2017 at the age of 77.

Meanwhile, last month it was revealed how Coronation Street stars were left ‘furious’ over impending budget cuts.

The ITV soap is set to have its episode count slashed by bosses after already seeing a number of stars axed from the programme.

Now, the cuts have put another ‘dampener’ on the cast with their annual summer party said to have been cancelled.

A source told The Sun that the stars have organised and will be paying for their own get together this year instead.

They explained: ‘It’s been a difficult few months and people were really looking forward to the party, but it puts a bit of a dampener on things that they have to pay.

‘It might not be a lot to some of the bigger known stars but for some staff it is. The fact that drinks aren’t included is a real blow too.’

The source added: ‘People aren’t really that surprised though considering the constant budget cuts.’

‘My mother-in-law, who I absolutely worship and adore, has three illn3sses. She’s for lupus, Parkinson’s and cnc3r. She is the most courageous lady and she is fighting, fighting, fighting.’

Speaking about how things have got more real, Robbie confessed ‘It’s a strange place to be’ before admitting ‘I’m not ready for it’.

Towards the end of last year, Robbie told The Mirror that he ‘didn’t know’ how to cope with the ‘incredibly complicated’ situation.

‘I don’t really know how to do it, it’s an incredibly complicated thing’.

He continued: ‘But I prefer not to go into details, You know, if I say something, they might read it, and then I would have to answer a lot of questions’.

‘Let’s put it this way: we are all human beings, with our difficulties, and I am trying to deal with mine’.

Robbie first spoke about his mother’s diagnosis after revealing how his biopic Better Man depicts his loving relationship with his late grandmother who has d3mentia in the film.

Back in 2020 Robbie revealed his father Pete had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, admitting at the time that he was fighting ‘fear and panic’ over his father’s diagnosis.

He told The Mirror that receiving the diagnosis during Covid made things extra difficult as he and his wife Ayda and their children were self-isolating thousands of miles away from his parents in Los Angeles.

    Kat Timpf - Wikipedia

When people mention Kat Timpf, they often picture the blonde hair, the mischievous eyes, and a mouth always ready to throw a razor-sharp joke. But behind that image lies a bumpy journey, marked by scars she carefully hides behind that half-defiant smile.

    The pain behind the punchline
Kat once went through an incident that seemed minor but left a haunting shadow: she was att*cked by a stranger with a water bottle at a Brooklyn bar. It sounds like random “bad luck,” but it caused lasting damage to her health.
In an interview, she confessed to the chilling thought:

    “I could’ve been d*ad over a joke.”

Since then, every laugh on stage carries a hint of fear – that someone out there might be angry enough to do worse.

    Career milestones
Kat isn’t just Fox News’s “political comic relief.” She’s also a rare voice defending libertarian ideals in a sea polarized by left and right.
From “The Greg Gutfeld Show” to her own show “Sincerely, Kat,” she has stayed true to her brand: smart, self-deprecating, and bravely irreverent.
    As she once said:

“I’d rather be hated than be tricked into staying silent.”

Kat Timpf | Here are 10 photos from my wedding day. I am aware that this is an obnoxious thing to do; you be aware I will still post even more at

    Love, scars & soft places
In May 2021, Kat married Cameron Friscia, a former military man turned investor. Their story is not flashy, but it feels almost like an anchor in Kat’s whirlwind life.
She has joked that her husband “makes me less pessimistic – though I’m still pretty good at pessimism.”
Behind the jokes, you catch a glimpse of something softer: a woman who finally found someone she trusts enough to lean on.

    Wounds & healing
Kat has openly struggled with eating disorders, s*xual anxiety, and panic attacks before going on stage. Over time, she taught herself to laugh into the mirror, turning pain into a color on her comedic palette.
Her book “You Can’t Joke About That” is a manifesto: wounds may make us vulnerable, but they also make us more human.

    And the Kat of today
Still the woman whose laughter seems to slice through the air, still stubbornly sarcastic. But now, Kat Timpf carries with her both the scars and the compassion – visible only to those who look past the punchline. And by her side, someone who loves even the darkest parts she used to hide.

BREAKING: Fans go wild as former Eastenders star Charlie Brooks plans COMEBACK after 2+ years away – But ONE BIG OBSTACLE could ruin it all!

Former EastEnders star, Charlie Brooks, has revealed she’s currently not working two and a half years after her epic soap exit.

Best-known for playing Janine Butcher on the long-running hit UK television show, Charlie recently took to Instagram to talk about life since leaving the BBC series.

Charlie Brooks playing Janine Butcher on EastEnders

Sharing a picture in which the actress can be seen grinning from ear-to-ear while donning a black ensemble with sunglasses to match, Charlie captioned her post: “Life is good. As someone who is generally validated by work…Turns out being at home, chilling with my dog, taking long walks, reforming, reading and actually getting to hang out with my friends doing everything and nothing makes me really f**king happy.”

In a separate post just two weeks ago, Charlie spoke about the “joys of unemployment” as she listed out all the things that are making her time off from work a blast, namely: “Three whole uninterrupted days with her [best friend], Rummikub, Fire, Ice bath, Massage.”

Since leaving EastEnders almost three years ago in December 2022, Charlie has been seen enjoying family time and attending gigs, and shared an insights into her post Walford life on her social media. With her latest post, Charlie has confirmed she’s still on a break and taking it easy.

Charlie’s character Janine Butcher first set foot in Walford in 1999, staying until 2004, when her villainous character made her first departure from the show. She then ventured into other roles including Robin Hood and playing a murderous nurse in Beverley Allitt: Angel of Death. Charlie made a comeback to EastEnders in 2008 before departing once again in 2012. Her latest return to the smash hit soap was in 2021, followed by her subsequent exit in the latter half of 2022, where she was embroiled in the tragic loss of beloved landlord Mick Carter, who is still lost at sea.

Janine is currently serving a five year prison sentence after she was arrested for perverting the course of justice, specifically for framing Linda Carter for drink-driving. She gave birth to her son, named after his dad Mick Carter, in prison.

In January this year, the actress opened up about the possibility of returning to Walford. She revealed: “I’m going straight back into Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for a while, and then I probably need a little bit of time off,” adding, “And then we’re in talks about another theatre project at the moment, so I don’t know yet.”

She teased further: “I’m biding my time. So who knows.”

Earlier this year, the 44-year-old appeared on the 17th season of Dancing on Ice, partnering with Olympic professional skater Eric Radford. Unfortunately, Charlie was eliminated from the competition in the fifth week. She also reprised her role as The Childcatcher in the new production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in March this year, as part of the show’s UK tour.

Charlie is a proud parent to her 20-year-old daughter, Kiki Truman Brooks, whom she shares with former flame Tony Truman, an Ibiza club impresario. The couple parted ways in 2006, just two years after Kiki’s birth, yet they’ve remained amicable, evidenced by Tony residing just above Charlie’s Surrey abode.

The Lie With Me actress’ love life recently made headlines as Charlie and her producer boyfriend James Fuller parted ways in February, mere weeks after confirming their relationship publicly.

Charlie also participated in and won the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special in 2011 and also took home the I’m A Celebrity title in 2012.

“We had some fertility investigations again and we needed Clomid [fertility medication] to stimulate the ovaries.

“This time [while pregnant with Edith] it only took a month, and we were quite surprised, weren’t we? Because last time it took six months of Clomid with Albert, and this time it was just the first month.”

Coronation Street fans have forecast a massive shock for DS Lisa Swain that will leave Carla Connor heartbroken.

Viewers will remember that Lisa was wed to Becky and they had a daughter, Betsy, together.

But disaster struck in 2021 when fellow officer Becky was tragically KL whilst on duty after being struck by a vehicle.

Earlier this year, DS Swain disclosed that the villainous Radcliffe brothers, Matty and Logan, were driving the car that f2t2lly struck Becky in the h1t-and-r::n incident.

The pair were subsequently imprisoned for mrd3ring their own sibling Mason, who had attempted to assist Lisa in securing justice against his brothers, reports Belfast Live.

Meanwhile, in recent episodes, Betsy discovered some old documents concerning her deceased mother Becky and demanded explanations about her d3ath.

Lisa became alarmed by Betsy’s inquiries and document discoveries, telling new girlfriend Carla that she was desperate to prevent Betsy from finding a letter revealing that Becky was under investigation for corruption prior to her d3ath.

This week’s episodes saw Lisa attend compulsory workplace counselling following colleague Craig Tinker’s on-duty d3ath, which left her traumat1sed as it echoed Becky’s demise. During the therapy session, Lisa was questioned about Becky.

With all the discussion and plotlines focusing on Becky, fans are certain they’ve uncovered a major revelation.

Writing on Reddit, one viewer speculated: “Feels like a juggernaut coming down the line but I could be wrong. Is Becky – deceased wife of DC Swain and mother of Betsy – not dead?

“My very much of a guess is – she was undercover as a b3nt c0pp3r, big scary criminals, faked d3ath to save her family, witn3ss pr0tection, yadda yadda yadda and suddenly TA-DA!!!

“It’s all the endless references and musings about a character we’ve never met. Feels like something’s afoot. Also a handy nemesis for Carla? That’s always a good thing.”

In response, one fan agreed: “I agree that the endless references about someone who we have never met is suspicious!”, while another quipped: “This would be totally ridiculous and undo all of swains character development. So yes its most likely true” and yet another chimed in: “I think you might be right you know…. something is indeed afoot.”

Meanwhile, another soap enthusiast remarked: “I’d be far more surprised if this didn’t happen than if it does. It’s exactly the angle I think they’re going to play”, and one speculated: “I kinda guessing that and have this feeling as well, i have a feeling she went into witn3ss pr0tection for something she saw or something, its going to happen aint it. you can just see it” while another suggested: “Could be that Lisa is aware that she’s in witn3ss pr0tection too? But is still sad and grieving that she can no longer see her. That could explain the mysterious files she didn’t want Betsy to see.”

The MOST Watchable – Laughable and Tear-Jerking BBC INTERVIEW in British TV history – UK Transport Secretary urges Brits to buy EVs – Host Laura Kuenssberg asks “So you own an EV, right?” – the whole UK “Floored” by her Answer!

Laura Kuenssberg’s weekend BBC show took an awkward turn after she confronted Labour’s Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander live on air. One of the main topics the politician wanted to discuss on the BBC Sunday show (July 13) was the need for more Brits to buy electric cars in an effort to curb the need for fossil fuels.

But one of the main issues drivers are facing at the moment is the lack of electric charging spots across the UK, especially for those who live in a flat or don’t have a driveway. The politician reassured viewers that the government are now pledging £63million to invest into charging infrastructure so that people can charge their cars more easily. But it was at this point that the MP revealed that despite being the transport secretary, she herself didn’t own an electric car.

    Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander

Laura Kuennsberg skewered Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander on her BBC show (Image: BBC)

She explained: “So today we’re announcing a really big investment £63million in charging infrastructor across the country, £25million for councils so that people like me who don’t have a driveway, I live in a terraced house. If I had an EV (electric vehicle), I’d be asking myself questions about how I would be getting the electric cable across to the car.”

Laura swiftly interrupted her to clarify: “So you don’t have one? The Transport Secretary doesn’t have an electric car but you’re telling everyone else to have one.”

Heidi admitted: “I don’t have an electric car Laura, but like a lot of, well, millions of people in this country who, well, I’d bought a new car about six years ago and I’m thinking about the next car I will purchase and it will definitely be an electric vehicle.

“But I’m not in a habit of changing my car on a yearly basis because it’s expensive as it is and so that’s why we’re making £25million available to councils so that they can provide financial support to households who want to put in a cross-pavement gulley so that you can safely run the cable across the pavement.”

Laura pushed: “So there will be grants for people to buy a new car? Can you confirm that you are going to give grants to people, maybe thousands of pounds, to help them buy an electric car?”

Laura Kuenssberg wasted called out the politician

Alexander insisted: “I can guarantee to your viewers that we will be making it cheaper for those who do want to make the switch to an electric vehicle to do so, and we will be making sure that the charging infrastructor is there for them so that they can make the journeys they want to make.”

The host couldn’t help but take one more jab at the politician before moving on to the next segment, teasing: “Okay, thank you for that Alexander and you’ve said you will be one of them. Do you think a cabinet minister will qualify for the grant? I don’t know?”

The MP simply replied: “I don’t think that would be appropriate, Laura.” It didn’t take long before fans flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their surprise online. One user penned: “This idiot telling us to buy electric cars but doesn’t have one herself. Bloody hypocrite #BBCLauraK.”

Another agreed: “Transport secretary hasn’t got an electric vehicle [three cry-laughing emojis] but yes everyone else needs to get one! #BBCLauraK.”

A third echoed: “[Ed] Miliband and now Heidi Alexander telling everyone to buy an electric car when they don’t have one themself is typical of anyone in government #bbclaurak.”
