During Wednesday’s edition of F&F First, co-host Carley Shimkus welcomed Piro back to the show and discussed his daughter’s arrival.

“I’m back,” Piro proclaimed at the start of the show.

“You are back,” Shimkus said, adding: “Did anything happen to you while you were gone? Anything special? Maybe a beautiful baby was born. It’s good to have you back.”

“The second one. When you start playing man-to-man defense it becomes a whole new game,” Piro joked as he welcomed his second daughter.

The morning news anchor also shared a touching picture of his newborn daughter at the end of Thursday’s show.

In a June 19 Instagram post, Piro shared a snap moments after his daughter was born, calling it the “best father’s day ever”.

“Best #fathersday ever. Welcome to the team, Alexis!” Piro captioned the post.

VIEWERS called on Fox News to give host Bill Melugin a permanent gig after stepping in for one of his co-stars on Thursday morning.

Melugin filled in for Bill Hemmer, who was absent from America’s Newsroom, and made such a great impression that fans went on social media to demand he be on the program all the time.

“I really like Bill Melugin,” wrote one person on X. “He is such a breath of fresh air!”

Another viewer asked Fox to consider having Melugin on permanently, calling him a “professional.”

“Bill Melugin is filling in on FOX as an anchor this morning. They need to give that guy a regular spot,” wrote a third person.

“Do your organization a favor @FoxNews and give Melugin more airtime!”

Other viewers also praised Melugin’s looks, with one person calling him “very handsome” and another person writing that he had a “gorgeous head of hair.”

“Bill Melugin, you are very impressive!” wrote another viewer, adding that Melugin seemed to hold his own with Fox News vets like Martha McCallum and Dana Perino.

“You definitely fit right in! You’re very wise in your comments and pushback!”

    DUKING IT OUT

Melugin sat down with Perino to speak with political analyst Brit Hume, who called out Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

While speaking to the press on Wednesday morning, Hegseth blasted reporters for their coverage of Saturday’s b0mb1ngs of Iran’s n::clear faci1ities, directed by President Donald Trump.

Hegseth claimed the media reported on leaked intel reports and failed to praise the president’s action, saying, “You want him not to be successful so bad, you have to cheer against the efficacy of the strikes.”

However, he turned his sights on Fox News Pentagon reporter, Jennifer Griffin, calling her “the worst, the one who misrepresents the most intentionally what the president says.”

Griffin appeared to be caught off guard by Hegseth calling her out by name, saying she reported on the mission with “great accuracy.”

Hegseth seemed to take back some of his harsh words, saying that he appreciated that Griffin acknowledged that this was the most “successful mission based on operational security that this department has done since you’ve been here.”

“So we’re looking at all aspects of intelligence and making sure we have a sense of what was where.”

Hume called Hegseth’s words an “attck” against Griffin while speaking to Perino and Melugin.

“An attck she certainly, in my view, did not deserve. Her professionalism, her knowledge, and her experience at the Pentagon is unmatched,” said Hume.

“And I have then, have had, and still have, the greatest regard for her.

“The attck on her was unfair!”

ITV’s Loose Women star Coleen Nolan tragically lost her second sister, Linda Nolan, to a devastating cnc3r battle earlier this year. The late 65-year-old was diagnosed with breast cnc3r 20 years ago, and although she went into remission, the disease returned as secondary breast cnc3r in 2017. It then sadly spread to her hip and pelvis, then to her brain by 2023.

While Linda’s d3ath was attributed to pneum0nia, Coleen revealed it “happened so quickly,” and sent her on a downward spiral, and she “lost her mojo for everything.” At the time, the TV star took a break from her regular panellist role and left much of the running of the house and her small farm to her daughter Ciara, 24.

Coleen reflected: “Linda had cnc3r for 20 years and was so positive. I got to a point where I thought she’d outlive us all. Then, when it happened, it happened so quickly.

“Afterwards, I didn’t want to get out of bed. It was overwhelming,” she added in an interview to OK! Magazine.

She continued: “My kids literally didn’t leave my side, and when I needed to be alone, they would be in the next room.

“Ciara took control of everything and everyone that came round. I’d be asked to do something and say ‘yes’, and she’d jump in and tell them no, I wasn’t ready.”

Linda died on January 15 at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, following her younger sister  Bernie Nolan’s d3ath in 2013, at just 52.

In a statement, her agent Dermot McNamara said: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Nolan, a celebrated Irish pop legend, television personality, Guinness World Record-holding West End star, Sunday Times bestselling author, and Daily Mirror columnist.

“She passed at around 10.10am at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in the MCEW Ward. The family said the hospital couldn’t do enough; they were tireless and made it much more bearable.

“She passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments.

“Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others. Rest in peace, Linda. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.”

Good Morning Britain is set to shut down its US bureau completely for the first time in its 11-year history as part of ITV’s Daytime programming cuts. The huge change will leave the flagship morning show without a dedicated American reporting presence which will spark a major shift in how international news is covered on the show. The bureau, which is currently being led by correspondent Noel Phillips from New York, has served as GMB’s base for US stories.

However, with the restructure, reports from across the pond will likely be sourced from ITV’s main new division ITN rather than a dedicated team stateside. The decision has sparked backlash internally as a source close to the production criticised the closure.

    Good Morning Britain

The breakfast show is set to close its US bureau for the first time in its 11-years history (Image: ITV)

They told press at the time: “They have completely axed their American operation, with the intensity of the news cycle in the US as it is, especially now, with a president who is making headlines daily. How does that make any sense?”

Branding the move “a brazen pivot away from journalism”, the insider went on: “These cuts are a disaster in the making. The way they have gone about all of this is mess and it is devastating for us all.

“Why are they trying to reinvent the ‘news’ instead of finding better ways to reach audiences? It is a shame they are being so shortsighted and are losing genuine, good quality people.”

When approached for a comment, an ITV spokesperson addressed the situation in a short statement. It read: “ITV is currently in consultation over proposed changes and no final decisions have been made on redundancies.

“ITV News has a significant presence across North America and its award-winning bureau will continue to provide GMB viewers with trusted international news.”

Lorraine and Loose Women have also faced a series of cuts which will be enforced in 2025 (Image: Ken McKay/ITV/Shutterstock)

The removal of the US team forms part of a widespread cost-cutting operation across ITV’s daytime schedule in an effort to save £50million. Around 220 jobs are expected to be cut from Good Morning Britain, This Morning, Loose Women, and Lorraine.

As part of the shake-up in 2026, Lorraine will be reduced to a 30-minute slot and both Lorraine and Loose Women will now only air for 30 weeks a year.

Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain is being extended by an additional 30 minutes each morning, a move ITV hopes will streamline production and distribute resouces more efficiently.

Although ITV maintains that its award-winning international news coverage will continue without disruption, critics feat that closing the US bureau could mark a troubling step away from in-depth journalism in favour of saving money, potentially weakening the network’s ability to cover US news.

UK viewers in heated debate: Was London 1665 better than now – So what Values truly matter?

Hard to credit, but the l0ckd0wn imposed on London during the Great Plagu3 of 1665 was better organised and devised with more common sense than our own C0v1d shambles.

Here was an England without sewers, or antibiotics, where disease was so little understood that some people suspected plagu3 was transmitted in bread.

Yet the Lord Mayor had the good judgment to order restrictions so that everyone was allowed to go outside at some point, whether or not their house was under quarantine.

The healthy went about as usual, but obeyed a curfew in the evening so that other people living with plagu3 victims could escape their four walls for an hour or two.

Contrast that to the draconian, nonsensical rules forced on Britain during the pandemic, when nobody was allowed out at all except for essential reasons — and anyone living with a Covid patient was obliged to self-isolate rigorously for ten days.

Rob Rinder and Ruth Goodman offered no comparison of the differing rules between the 17th and 21st centuries, in The Great Plagu3. They had another modern concern: the inequalities between rich and poor.

TV historians love to inflict today’s morals on our ancestors, whether that’s castigating them for the ev1ls of empire or bewailing the tr3atment of cr1minals. Rob and Ruth were thoroughly disapproving of the wealth gap in Restoration England.

In fact, most people would have seen the very notion of redistributing wealth through taxes and welfare as wicked.

The gulf between social classes was something ordained by God, they believed: ‘The rich man in his castle, the poor man at his gate,’ as the hymn has it.

It’s a pity that this unhistorical attitude pervaded the programme, because it spoiled an absorbing depiction of how plagu3 d3cimated London. The dressing-up box was well used, especially by Rob, who enjoyed himself enormously as a pampered gentleman.

Posing as ‘confirmed bachelor’ Sir William Turner, a benefactor to the poor, he donned a periwig and embroidered waistcoat to go riding in a sedan chair. ‘Servant!’ he commanded, ‘Maid! Shut the door!’

Secretly, Rob would love to be a Disney villain. He did try to show a more humane side, though: ‘I’ve got some leftover food for you later,’ he promised a serving wench.

Ruth, who is never happier than when knee-deep in the muck of Tudor and Stuart days, practised walking in pattens, the wooden clogs worn when walking through the slurry on London’s streets.

This was all entertaining, though more attention could have been paid to the detail of the script. Rob opened by explaining they would be, ‘diving into 1665, when a KL v1rus . . . left the city fighting for its life’.

In fact, as was later made clear, plagu3 was caused not by a virus but a bacterium, Yersinia pestis.

Viruses, bacteria . . . one legacy of l0ckd0wn is that now, most of us know the difference.

Gregg Wallace has been banned from working at the BBC after executives ruled they did not ‘have the confidence that you can change what seems to be learned behaviour’.

In a letter of dismissal from Claire Powell, head of compliance for BBC Television, the corporation made clear that Wallace, 60, would not work as a BBC presenter following an investigation into his behaviour on MasterChef.

When coming to the judgement the BBC said they took into account Wallace’s autism diagnosis but concluded that he ‘struggled to distinguish the boundaries between appropriate and inapp0priate behaviour in the workplace’ despite training in 2019.

The independent report by Lewis Silkins, which was commissioned by Masterchef producers Banijay in November after the initial allegations, has yet to be published but Wallace has insisted he has been cleared of the most serious allegations of groping.

But it is understood that he has been found guilty of making repeated inappr0priate comments which he considered ‘banter’.

Defending himself on Tuesday, Wallace recognised ‘that some of my humour and language, at times, was inappr0priate ‘ for which he apologised ‘without reservation’.

In a letter of dismissal, the corporation made clear that Wallace, 60, would not work as a BBC presenter following an investigation into his behaviour on MasterChef

The dismissal letter from the BBC, which was obtained by The Telegraph, said the corporation had taken into account that ‘you were a presenter on a flagship BBC show’ and noted ‘the impact that your comments had on the BBC’s reputation’.

It went on: ‘I have also taken into account whether your behaviour could be improved with training and/or coaching.

‘However, having reviewed the 2025 findings, I do not have the confidence that you can change what seems to be learned behaviour for you to make what you perceive to be jokes in the working environment, without understanding the boundaries of what is appropriate.’

‘I also have to consider the fact that various people in the BBC have spoken to you about your behaviour over the course of your career, and that you also already received training/coaching in 2019.’

The letter added: ‘I have further taken into account the 2025 Findings as they relate to your health and recent autism diagnosis (as you have publicly stated).

‘I have noted that you do not consider certain environments to now be ‘safe’ for you. In addition to the duty of care towards you, the BBC equally to take into account the safety and duty of care owed towards contributors, members of the public and colleagues on production teams that you may engage with and the appropriate use of licence fee payers’ money in establishing a safe working environment for all.

‘The 2025 Findings reflect that you acknowledge some of your comments have offended or upset people, but it is clear that you struggle to distinguish the boundaries between appropriate and inappr0priate behaviour in the workplace, as well as lacking awareness of why your behaviour impacts others.’

‘I do not have confidence that your behaviour can change to ensure there is a sufficiently safe and respectful environment for others working with you in the types of programmes the BBC has engaged you to present.

Wallace has been blasted by disability charities for using his autism as an excuse for his alleged inappr0priate behaviour

‘Such productions are not heavily scripted programmes and involve sound and consistent levels of judgment in relation to interactions with others which cannot constantly be monitored or supervised.’

Wallace has been blasted by disability charities for using his autism as an excuse for his alleged inappr0priate behaviour.

On Tuesday he claimed that television executives had failed to ‘investigate my disability’ or ‘protect me from what I now realise was a dang3rous env1ronment’.

Fifty people came forward this week with fresh allegations about Wallace, including inappr0priate s3xual comments, t0uching and gr0ping, which he vehemently denies.

Now Wallace has been told by one leading charity that his autism diagnosis was ‘not a free pass for bad behaviour’, while others warned that his comments risked stigmatising the autistic community.

Seema Flower, founder of disabilities consultancy Blind Ambition, told BBC News there was ‘no excuse’ for being inappr0priate to people in society.

‘Where does it leave us if we use autism as excuse to behave in whatever way we like?’ she asked.

Emily Banks, founder of neurodiversity training body Enna, also condemned Wallace.

She said: ‘To be clear: being autistic is never an excuse for misconduct. It doesn’t absolve anyone of responsibility, and it certainly doesn’t mean you can’t tell the difference between right and wrong.’

While Dan Harris, who runs the charity Neurodiversity in Business and is himself autistic, said people like him ‘may miss social cues sometimes. But autism is not a free pass for bad behaviour.’

‘Comments like this stigmatise us and add an unfortunate negative focus on our community.’

On Wednesday, friends of Wallace had said his autism is partly responsible for his inappr0priate behaviour because the condition has allegedly caused an ‘inability to wear underwear because of his autistic hypersensitivity to labels and tight clothing’.

His autism is said to result in him having an ‘oddity of filters and boundaries’, The Times reported.

A BBC spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Banijay UK instructed the law firm Lewis Silkin to run an investigation into allegations against Gregg Wallace.’

‘We are not going to comment until the investigation is complete and the findings are published.’

In response to the latest allegations, a spokesperson for Wallace said: ‘Gregg continues to co-operate fully with the ongoing Banijay UK review and as previously stated, denies engaging in behaviour of a s3xually harassing nature.’

The witty star debuted the look on Instagram as he enjoys a sun-soaked holiday in Benidorm with pals.

In one snap, Stephen posted a selfie as he and his friends were all smiles while basking in the heat.

Another picture showed them in the water as they cooled off while they boasting bronzed complexions.

When Stephen and Daniel, 49, split he remained on Gogglebox with his mother Pat.

At the start of this year, Daniel opened up about their ‘traumatic’ and ‘devastating’ shock split, as well as his current dating life to the Best Suddenly Single Podcast.

Despite making the decision to break up, Daniel, 49, revealed he and Stephen are still living under the same roof while they continue to sell their apartment.

He said: ‘We’re still living together. We’re trying to sell our apartment. We cohabit really well together. (The split) was quite a slow process, for a while we were still sleeping in the same bed.

‘Then when Stephen went on Celebs Go Dating we agreed we’d sleep in separate bedrooms.

‘We’ve found a way to work together, live together and be dog dads. It’s always been about friendship.

‘As soon as we started dating, I said, “this guy is so different to me” but we got on so well, even though we came from completely different backgrounds.’

Talking about their split, he added: ‘It was devastating. For me, it was traumatic and although I knew things weren’t great, I didn’t see it coming.

‘It was quite a slow process because we were completely entwined for so long, with our businesses, the dogs, we were so close in everything we did.

‘There was nothing underhand happening, no-one had slept with anyone else. Stephen was the complete opposite to me, and we’d say opposites attracted, but fundamentally that was our problem in the end.’

UNBELIEVABLE – A CRAZY THEORY with 2 CONVINCING CLUES – Was Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sánchez’s WEDDING an “AI H0AX” F00LING the World?

Photos of Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos on their wedding day are raising eyebrows after eagle-eyed social media users appeared to spot several photoshop fails.

The blushing bride, 55, tied the knot with the Amazon founder, 61, in Venice, Italy, on June 27 in a lavish three-day celebration which cost an estimated $50 million.

For her big day, Lauren wore a lacy Dolce & Gabbana gown that boasted floral-inspired embellishments, long sleeves, tight bodice, high neckline, enormous train and button studs down the front.

After exchanging vows, she posted a carousel of photos of herself in her wedding dress, as well as snap of herself and Jeff together in front of their loved ones.

At first glance, the pictures look like a sweet tribute to a very special day, but upon closer inspection some have noticed that not everything is as it seems.

Social media users have pointed out that in one photo, Lauren’s gown appears to have buttons running all the way down the middle of it. However, in a different snap, the buttons seem to disappear beyond the waistline.

While there could be good reason for this – such as Lauren wearing a different ensemble, or a seamstress removing the buttons at the eleventh hour – some have assumed this is bad editing.

Others noticed that the snap of Lauren and Jeff at their wedding reception appears to have been altered.

A safety pin under Lauren’s armpit made its way into this shot of Lauren in her bridal gown – as well as questions about her finger placement

They believe that evidence for this includes wedding guests with warped and missing fingers, as well as a white chair that seems to have a missing leg.

Taking their questions and observations to Lauren’s Instagram, one asked: ‘Why do the buttons at the back of the dress exist in second picture but not in the third?’

Another asked: ‘Is this a social experiment? Why one picture has buttons going all the way through the back of the dress, another ends at the waistline?

‘What is wrong with her fingers in the first picture? These are really weird things for a wedding that is so publicized. Weirder than the guest list.’

A third pointed out: ‘Safety pin in first pic, disappearing buttons in third.’

‘How many thumbs you got, girl?’ another asked.

‘Second and third photo- not the same dress… check where buttons end on the first one…’ wrote a fifth.

Additionally, Instagram user Allison McSorley uploaded several posts where she dissected the images in a series of videos.

In one post, she said: ‘This is what a synthetic fairytale looks like.

‘Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding photos show glaring signs of AI manipulation: Buttons that change across images, a random safety pin through lace, distorted guests and warped fingers.

‘And one version — blurry, smoothed, fake — was posted directly by Vogue.

‘This isn’t just about AI mistakes. This is about how billionaires and legacy media collude to sell us curated, computer-generated narratives.’

However, while many seem concerned by Lauren’s supposed editing, others pointed out that brides have been manipulating their wedding photos for decades.

‘Brides have been editing their pictures since at least 20 years ago when I got married,’ one said.

‘My photog airbrushed, blurred, enhanced, and removed images from my wedding pics and I know a million plus have as well. It’s our one day and we love them to look a perfect. You’re reaching boo.’

Fans’ sharp eyes can’t be fooled: 3 HIDDEN CLUES in Suits reveal Meghan Markle was DATI1NG Prince Harry on screen!

Suits fans think they have figured out the exact moment in the show that gives away when Meghan Markle began dating Prince Harry.

The former actress, 43, starred in the American legal drama for seven of its nine series, from 2011 to 2018, before the show’s finale in 2019.

She married the British royal, 40, in May 2018, after meeting him on a blind date set up by a mutual friend in July 2016.

They stepped back as senior royals in March 2020 and moved to Montecito, California, where they now raise their two children Archie, six, and Lilibet, three.

Harry’s fractious relationship with his father King Charles, 76, and his brother Prince William, 43, since then has faced much scrutiny in recent years.

But fans have also turned their attention to another aspect of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s lives – namely when in the filming of Suits they met.

Fans have turned their attention to when in the filming of Suits (pictured, Meghan on the show in 2017, with Patrick J Adams who plays her character Rachel’s love interest Mike Ross) the Sussexes met

One fan, who started watching when the programme was added to Netflix in June 2023, said they thought it must be series six, released from July 2016 to March 2017.

Interestingly, they based this on the progress of the romance between Meghan’s character Rachel Zane and her fellow lawyer Mike Ross (Patrick J Adams).

The viewer said, on discussion site Reddit: ‘I’m basing this on Mike and Rachel kissing and hugging once despite some seriously intense moments in their story.

‘Harvey [Specter, a partner in the firm played by Gabriel Macht] and Mike have more sexual chemistry and honestly, I’m rooting for them to make it.’

Another fan agreed: ‘Her hemlines grew even longer and her buttons more buttoned-up on her shirts later in season six.

‘No more lingering shots on her a** as she walked away too.’

Someone else came down on this side too: ‘I agree on this.

‘Their chemistry completely disappears and to be honest, I never really thought they had a lot of it to begin with.

‘But it almost looks like they want nothing to do with each other. Her stress over him going to prison is hardly believable.’

After just two dates, Meghan went on holiday with Harry to Botswana for five days in summer 2016 – which he has said was when he knew she was his ‘soulmate’.

Initial news of the pair’s romance broke publicly just before Halloween that year and Harry confirmed it in the November.

They were first photographed together in December 2016, before attending their first public event as a couple in May 2017.

They announced their engagement in November 2017, before taking on their first royal duties as a pair in December of that year.

Another fan thought the point in the Suits shoot where Harry and Meghan met could be slightly later than series six.

The sixth series only came out in July 2016 – just at the point when the Sussexes have said they first met.

But Meghan has also previously said to Vanity Fair she and Harry were dating for around six months before it became public in late October 2016.

Another fan thought it could be later: 'I was rewatching season seven [released from July 2017 to April 2018] and noticed she was wearing actual pajamas, not lingerie, while sitting up in bed'. Pictured: Meghan on Suits during series two in 2013

This suggests they could have met even earlier, perhaps in the late April or May – which muddies the consideration of the Suits shoot timeline even more.

The fan explained: ‘I was rewatching season seven [released from July 2017 to April 2018] and noticed she was wearing actual pajamas, not lingerie, while sitting up in bed.

‘Mike was not in the bed next to her but sitting aside the bed. I’d say that’s when I noticed for sure but I’m slow on the uptake!’

Someone else agreed: ‘I also noticed in season seven Rachel was a lot more modest.’

Similarly, one user commented: ‘I noticed her wearing a lot more baggy and shapeless articles of clothing in season six and wondered if that was why but it looks like the timeline doesn’t add up.’

Beyond Suits, Harry and Meghan’s relationship with Netflix has already sent ripples through the Royal Family.

In 2020, the streaming service reportedly paid $100million (£73.5million) to the couple for a five-year deal.

This would include the Sussexes’ incendiary tell-all docuseries Harry & Meghan, which was released in December 2022.

In that programme, Meghan said she had been prevented from getting help when she was feeling suicidal.

Harry, meanwhile, said the Royal Family had shown unconscious racial bias and of briefing the press to print negative stories.

Following this, Meghan’s first lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, started streaming on the platform in March, while her brand As Ever was launched in April.

Her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, also released its first episode this spring.

During each of the eight 33-minute episodes of her Netflix show, Meghan was joined by guests as she offered lifestyle tips from inside a rented $8million (£5million) mansion near the Sussexes’ Montecito home.

With Love, Meghan gives viewers an intimate look into everyday life for the Sussexes, including how the children named two of the chickens ‘Phil’ and ‘Jill’.

The duchess, who lives in an $14million (£11million) home with Prince Harry and their children, says even people in ‘little flats’ in London can enjoy a ‘small piece’ of her luxury Californian lifestyle.

But With Love, Meghan quickly came under attack from reviewers who described it as ‘gormless lifestyle filler’ with a ‘tangible desperation’.
