Susanna, 54, and Martin Lewis, 53, returned to our screens for the latest episode of the breakfast programme.

And they were joined by the show’s Entertainment Editor Richard Arnold, 55.

Susanna was quick to point out that he had been missing for a while.

After the adverts wrapped up, and they returned to the show, Martin told viewers: ‘Richard Arnold is here and a Hollywood actor has a new role behind the scenes…’

Susanna chimed in: ‘Welcome back by the way! Where have you been?!’

Richard replied: ‘A cheeky little tour Stateside to stay with some friends.

‘Lowkey, non-fuss, in the middle of Connecticut.’

    ‘Very good,’ Susanna said.

Richard confessed: ‘Yeah I actually read a book! I couldn’t believe it. Got to the very end! Got to the very end.’

‘Was it worth it?!’ Susanna asked.

Richard said: ‘Yes normally when I go away on holiday, the answers are all at the bottom of a glass, but actually sobered up enough to read a book!’

It comes after Susanna left fans ‘surprised and confused’ as she made a return to the BBC 11 years after quitting the channel’s Breakfast show.

Over the years Susanna has had a very successful career in the journalism industry, having worked for a number of the main broadcasters in the UK.

The 54-year-old is arguably best known for currently presenting ITV‘s Good Morning Britain, after taking on the role in 2014.

But some may have forgotten that she also used to work for one of ITV’s rival channels.

Susanna presented BBC Breakfast alongside Bill Turnbull, 66, and Charlie Stayt, 63, between 2001 and 2014.

And on Sunday she returned to take part in a panel with Laura Kuenssberg, 48.

Susanna shared as snap of the day on Instagram and captioned the post: ‘SUNDAY! Always fantastic to be on @bbclaurak back at the BBC, this morning with @danielkebede and James Harding @theobserveruk @oversnap

    ‘Back @gmb tomorrow!’

Many rushed to the comments section to share how much they loved her being back on our screens on a Sunday – as she usually presents GMB Monday to Wednesdays, as well as an alternative Thursday between 6am and 9am.

    ‘Nice one…’

‘Yes I watched it just because you was on it.’

‘A nice surprise this morning! Usually guests are a bit boring!’

The instalment, which originally aired on 1 May 2023, saw credit manager Candy and construction worker Mark ask for Ben’s help to find them the dream home in Almería, Spain, for just £75k.

The pair, from Kent, explained that they wanted a three-bed with views and traditional features.

And Mark even confessed that he ‘wanted something to do’ and was keen on the idea of building himself a swimming pool.

That meant that they wouldn’t be put off if the perfect property needed a little TLC.

So taking that into account, Ben took them to a 1940s village property in Rambla de Oria.

‘They did ask for a project, and this is a big one!’ Ben confessed, just before showing off the home to viewers.

Despite the fact that their initial reaction was quite positive, it soon fell flat when they stood inside realising that there was actually a lot more work that needed to be done than they originally thought.

Standing in the dining space, Candy confessed: ‘I’m just not feeling this at all.’

‘Is this a flat no?’ Ben asked.

‘Yeah unfortunately so, sorry Ben’ Candy said as she started to cry.

Ben pointed out: ‘You’re getting emotional…

    ‘What’s going on?’

Struggling to get words out, Ben added: ‘It’s not what you were imagining?

Did the host take things ‘too far’?

‘This is all about finding you the right place.’

However in a happy turn of events, when the couple viewed the third house, Mark becoming visibly moved.

Witnessing Candy’s enthusiasm for the property, Mark couldn’t help but reveal his sentiment, saying: ‘I’m getting emotional now! It’s lovely.’

Ultimately, Mark and Candy decided on a bid of £76,250 for their chosen home.

Ben had to liaise with the estate agent about whether furniture could be included in the offer, but later delivered the good news that the offer had been accepted, sparking tears of happiness from the couple.

Last month a squirming Ben was left ‘shocked’ after a couple walked out of a property tour with a cutting six-word swipe.

Ian and Emily, who share three kids, had a budget of £440k and were very interested to buy in the town of Pollença, which is in east Mallorca.

Ian and Emily explained that they need three bedrooms, space for a car and potentially a communal pool.

Unlucky for Ben, the first two properties didn’t tick all their boxes, so the interior designer took them to a £358k four-bedroom townhouse in Old Town Pollensa.

At first glance, Emily described it as ‘lovely’ and ‘gorgeous’.

Despite the positive start, it soon fell flat as Ian said it had ‘baked in character’, Emily brutally confessed: ‘It’s not doing it for me.’

The idea that women might vote differently from their husbands made Fox News star Jesse Watters’ brain melt live on air this week.

Referring to his current wife, Watters, with his trademark smirk, told his colleagues on The Five, “If I found out Emma was going into the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an aff@1r.” This, from a man who admitted to his employer in 2017 that he was in a relati0nship with a c0lleague 14 y3ars his juni0r—something that reportedly led to his divorce from his first wife. “What else is she keeping from me?” Jesse mused, prompting guffaws from his fellow panelists.

Beyond hypocrisy, Mother Jones creator Kat Abughazaleh argues that Watters’ reaction reveals the fierce undercurrent of s3xist r3sentment coursing through this year’s campaign, typified by Donald Trump, who just this week ominously vowed to protect women, “wh3ther the w0men l1ke it or n0t.”Dear Jesse Watters: Why would your wife be afraid to tell you what she really thinks?

It’s an issue that Democrats and their anti-Trump allies have been eager to highlight, including former congresswoman and top Harris campaigner Liz Cheney, who told CBS’ Face the Nation on Wednesday, “I think you’re going to have, frankly, a lot of men and women who will go into the voting booth and will vote their conscience, will vote for Vice President Harris.”

“They may not ever say anything publicly,” she added, “but the results will speak for themselves.”

Michelle Obama also seized on this dynamic. “Just remember that your vote is a private matter,” she told a Michigan rally last weekend.

Soon, that private decision could have very public ramifications—for the entire country.

Fox News' Jessica Tarlov Calls Out Co-Host Jesse Watters' Hypocrisy Over Texas Flood On-Air | Video

Jesse Watters returned to The Five on Monday, July 7, and was hit with criticism from cohost Jessica Tarlov, who called him out for his reaction to the recent floods in Texas, which have left over 100 people d3ad.

The conversation began with Watters insisting, “This climate change thing is a religion to these people because they believe that weather is punishing us for being a rich and successful and prosperous nation, and all they need to do to appease the rain gods is have everybody use their sacred things like solar panels, stupid cars, and windmills, and that’s what’s gonna save lives. And then you have people that blame it on Donald Tr::mp.”

Tarlov then jumped in and pointed out Watters’ hypocrisy, referencing the different way he reacted when Hurricane Helene hit under Joe Bi::de::n‘s administration. Specifically, she slammed Watters for not calling out the now-president when he spread lies about FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) funds during the September 2024 tragedy.

Fox News thrown into chaos as Jesse Watters clashes with Jessica Tarlov over her wild idea

“I don’t think talking about preparedness or what might have helped qualifies as impugning the memory of those that have been lost or detracting from the thoughtful conversation that needs to take place,” Tarlov said. “This river has been flooding for a very long time. There are a number of instances. And we were here around the table when Hurricane Helene struck, and I did not hear Jesse Watters say that Donald Tr::mp should stop spr3ading l13s about the Bi::d::en administration and spreading of FEMA funds.”

She continued, “Tr::mp came out and said, ‘They’re giving your dollars to 1ll3gals, they’re housing them with your FEMA dollars.’ Then he said, ‘You’re only going to get $750 from FEMA,’ which was a complete lie, and there are Republican officials who have testified to the fact that people did not get their FEMA assistance because of what Tr::mp or other Republicans were saying.”

Tarlov also pointed out that “there are over $54 billion in identified needs in terms of disaster resistance when it comes to these kind of flash floods that state officials are asking for, and the GOP legislature has rejected them. That is something they can work on to move forward and hopefully avoid a tragedy like this again.”

DOUBLE SH0CK: Repeatedly calling Ben Shelton’s girlfriend Trinity by the wrong name AND “digging up” her painful relationship with her father – Commentator Andrew Castle forced BBC to Issue an APOLOGY!

Wimbledon semi-finalist Ben Shelton’s football star girlfriend has won an apology after BBC commentator Andrew Castle repeatedly got her name wrong on-air.

Trinity Rodman hit out online after the tennis pundit wrongly referred to her as ‘Tiffany’ as well as mentioning her estranged father, NBA legend Dennis Rodman.

Now the BBC has said sorry on behalf of Castle, who twice competed at Wimbledon during his playing days in the 1980s, for ‘mispronouncing’ her name during this fortnight’s coverage from the All-England Club in south-west London.

Rodman and Shelton have been hailed as a new sporting ‘power couple’ during his run to the quarter-finals of the men’s singles, ahead of a showdown with world number one Jannik Sinner on Court One scheduled for later on Wednesday.

US star Shelton, seeded number ten, is going out with Trinity, who has won 47 caps for the USA women’s soccer team while also playing for Washington Spirit.

The 23-year-old star used her Instagram account to criticise former GMTV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Castle, 61, over his latest Wimbledon coverage in which she was called ‘Tiffany’ and mentioned as Dennis Rodman’s daughter.

Trinity has previously stated how strained her relationship is with her father, an NBA Hall of Famer who became known for living an outlandish, womanising lifestyle.

Dennis divorced from Trinity’s mother Michelle Moyer in 2012 and went long periods without speaking to his daughter.

Trinity Rodman posted on Instagram following mentions on-air by BBC pundit Andrew Castle

Trinity said last year that she does not even have his number saved on her phone, but she fields his occasional calls.

She told the podcast named Call Her Daddy: ‘I answer the phone now for my conscience, to be like, he needed to hear my voice before anything else happens.

‘That’s why I answer the phone, not for me. He’s not a dad. Maybe by bl00d, but nothing else.’

Yet the family connection has come up various times during the BBC’s broadcasts as she cheers on her boyfriend Shelton during his successful run so far.

She has posted on Instagram in response: ‘For those who don’t know, my name is TRINITY not Tiffany.

‘Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as a support system, which includes his dad.

‘My dad is not even in MY life, no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine. It’s him and his loved ones’ moment. Thank you.’

Her message has received online support from fans – and now the BBC has responded to the backlash.

Shelton reached a quarter-final clash with top seed Jannik Sinner at this year’s Wimbledon

He had been heard to say during coverage of Shelton’s previous play, when cameras focused on Trinity: ‘Her father is Dennis Rodman, who’s one of the greatest sportsmen of all time in my opinion.

‘The greatest rebounder in NBA history and the biggest wind-up merchant of all time.’

Internet critics have accused him of committing a ‘micro-aggression’ and showing a ‘lack of care’ for Trinity.

A BBC spokesman has now said on Castle’s behalf: ‘Andrew apologises for mispronouncing Trinity Rodman’s name during the Ben Shelton vs. Lorenzo Sonego match.’

Shelton defeated world number 252 Sonego in four sets on Monday to reach today’s quarter-final against Sonego’s Italian compatriot and three-time Grand Slam champion Sinner.

Just One Wedding – But Double Emotions – Mel B’s Big Day Evokes Royal Memories: Princess Diana’s Footsteps & King Charles’ Vows!

Mel B made her way down the aisle for a third time last weekend as she tied the knot with celebrity hairdresser Rory McPhee at the historic St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The Spice Girl said ‘I do’ during a lavish ceremony following previous marriages to Jimmy Gulzar from 1998 to 2000 and Stephen Belafonte from 2007 to 2017.

Mel first walked down the aisle at St John the Baptist Church in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire, before celebrating in the marquee at her former manor house.

For her second wedding, the singer kept it even more low-key jetting to Las Vegas, where she exchanged vows with Stephen at the Special Memory Wedding Chapel in a $59 ceremony.

Scary Spice and Stephen later had a vow renewal at the Jaz Makadi Golf Hotel in Madinat Makadi, Egypt with a larger guest list.

So for her third wedding, why did Mel choose one of the most iconic and exclusive London landmarks, which was also the location of King Charles‘ wedding with his first wife Princess Diana?

Mel was every inch the blushing bride in a gorgeous Josephine Scott pearl-adorned white gown as she arrived at the OBE Chapel, also known as St. Faith’s Chapel, located in the crypt for the ceremony.

The exclusive cathedral, where very few are permitted to tie the knot at, is only available for those with MBE’s to use as a wedding venue.

And Mel made the list thanks to her MBE in 2022 for her services to charitable causes and vulnerable women. She became a Women’s Aid patron in 2018 after speaking out about her own experience with domestic abuse.

Mel’s MBE also grants her permission to baptise her three children Phoenix, 26, Angel, 18, and Madison, 13, in the church, accessed via the side of St. Paul’s.

After saying ‘I do’ with Rory, the newlyweds stepped out of the cathedral with Mel flashing her radiant smile after becoming the new Mrs McPhee.

The newlyweds appeared blissfully happy and shared a sweet kiss for the gathered crowds as they joined their friends and family in leaving the historic venue after exchanging their vows.

Scary Spice ditched her famous leopard print and opted for a traditional white wedding at the cathedral which will be followed by a lavish £28,000 post nuptial celebration at The Shard.

Mel’s gown featured a sheer illusion design adorned with white pearls and a ruched bodice, with the singer adding a flowing veil to her bridal look.

Meanwhile, groom Rory, 37, opted for traditional Scottish attire complete with a red and green tartan kilt.

Emma Bunton, the only other Spice Girl in attendance – led the celebrity guests in leaving the venue after watching Mel walk down the aisle for the third time.

While fellow spices Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm were absent on the big day – Emma ensured she was there to support her friend.

Also in attendance was Mel’s sister Danielle Brown, Daisy Lowe, Katherine Ryan and Gaby Roslin – who were dressed to impress for the ceremony.

Emma echoed her Baby Spice days as she earlier arrived for the wedding, donning a baby pink mini dress worn with platform heels and a matching fascinator.

She was accompanied by husband Jade Jones and their son Beau, 17, with both men looking dapper as they joined Emma for the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Mel’s children Phoenix Chi, Madison and Angel Iris were all smiles as they arrived to see their mother walk down the aisle.

Phoenix, 26, looked lovely in a blue silk dress and coordinating fascinator, and was accompanied by partner AJ Anderson.

Sibling Angel, 18, who now identifies as a male, looked smart in a black suit, while sister Madison, 13, caught the eye in a bright pink dress and matching head piece.

Another notable guest was Mel’s beloved Yorkshire Terrier Cookie, who is said to be the ring bearer for the ceremony.

Other guests included Alan Car, Leigh Francis, Cara Delevingne and Katherine Ryan.

Following the ceremony, guests jumped onto a boozy party bus to take them to the lavish Shangri-La hotel at The Shard.

The champagne was flowing as the wedding reception kicked off and Mel B’s pals danced the night away, with Angellica sharing a clip of the moment she tossed her bouquet into the crowd.

And there’s more celebrating to come for the happy couple as they’re set to host a second wedding in Morocco, which has been described as ‘informal and sexy’.
