Robin Roberts Gives Tearful Send-Off to Sister for Her Retirement -- Watch | Entertainment Tonight

It has been 12 years since Robin Roberts returned to the Good Morning America anchor desk after a st3m c3ll tr4nspl4nt from her sister Sally-Ann Roberts — a gift she called “the gift of life.”

On Feb. 20, 2013, Roberts, now 64, said: “Faith, family and friends have brought me to this moment.” She shared their medical journey, where Sally-Ann donated st3m c3lls to treat my3lodyspl4stic syndr0me (MDS) — a rare condition affecting healthy blood cell formation.

Robin Roberts' sister reflects on sibling's upcoming wedding after lifesaving bone marrow donation - ABC News

Roberts used the anniversary to urge more st3m c3ll d0n0rs. Around 18,000 people yearly need such treatment; about 12,000 rely on registries like NMDP (formerly Be the Match) to find donors.

Roberts admitted she never knew that st3m c3ll tr4nspl4nts could help cure up to 70 conditions. Her story inspired viewers to donate over $2 million, join the registry (37,000 new members), and led to 155 actual donations, including from her nephew Jeremiah Craft, whom she called a “superhero.”

Jeremiah said: “What I’m going through is nothing compared to those fighting illness.” The procedure, similar to donating plasma, takes 4–8 hours; fewer than 1% have serious side effects.

Roberts recalled: “My doctor told me I had a year or two to live without a successful tr4nspl4nt… None of my other siblings matched. It all came down to my sister Sally-Ann.”

Former 'View' Co-Host Sara Haines, Michael Strahan Launch New Daytime Show to Mixed Reviews

Michael Strahan and Sara Haines, two familiar faces of American morning TV, are now joining forces to bring fresh energy with GMA Day, a show promising smiles and pure optimism.

“The biggest thing for us is not to mess it up and get too fancy,” Strahan tells PEOPLE. “It’s just about us being together, blending our personalities and friendship into good news and happy news each day.”

GMA Day airs at 1 p.m. ET on weekdays on ABC, taking over the third hour of Good Morning America. Besides interviews, cooking, lifestyle, and fitness segments, Haines shares: “Viewers will have takeaways. But first and foremost, people will smile and laugh throughout this show.”

Strahan (46) adds: “All the things that people love — and so do we. We love learning too as we go along. Some of it, we’ll learn right along with the audience at home. Experts will come in and teach us all something new.”

While Strahan stays on Good Morning America from 7–9 a.m., Haines (40) recently bid farewell to her seat at The View to focus fully on the new project.

Their friendship had blossomed over years, so when the chance to co-host came, neither hesitated. “When they said we think you guys should do it together, I was in right then,” Strahan recalls. “I adore Sara. Since day one, we’ve had an amazing relationship. Every morning she brings so much cheer and joy. I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot.”

Wynne Evans has unveiled a bold new career move after a turbulent year that saw him axed from both the BBC and the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

The opera singer, 53, who became a household name thanks to his booming vocals in the GoCompare adverts, has announced he’s opening his own restaurant in his hometown of Carmarthen. He has promised that fans can look forward to “MasterChef dishes on the menu”.

Wynne took to Instagram to share the news, telling his followers: “Hello, Wynne here. This is my hometown of Carmarthen. It is ever-changing and one thing that is changing is the Welsh House. It’s going to become the Welsh House by Wynne.

It comes after the BBC decided not to renew his radio show following two Strictly scandals(Image: wynneevans/Instagram)

“I promise you it will have MasterChef dishes on the menu, it’s going to have a fabulous warm welcome and I want you to come and see me, OK? It’s going to be the home of the radio show too. So I’ll see you soon. I’d better get cooking.”

It is understood that Wynne struck a deal to take over the existing Welsh House venue, with a source telling The Sun: “It’s a prime location in the centre of Carmarthen. He is trying to capitalise on his MasterChef win apparently.”

Wynne’s announcement comes after a rocky few months that saw his career with the BBC come to an abrupt end. The star, who won the Celebrity MasterChef trophy in 2023, was embroiled in controversy after he was kicked off the Strictly Come Dancing live tour earlier this year.

He made a comment that was deemed s3xually inappropriate during a photocall, which sparked a four-month investigation by the BBC into his behaviour.

Wynne, who performed on Strictly last year with dance partner Katya Jones, 36, had already been forced to apologise during his time on the show for an incident where he was pictured with his hand on Katya’s waist which she then pushed away. Both later told fans it was an inside joke.

While on tour, he faced further backlash for “inappropriate and unacceptable” language after using the term “s1t r0ast” in reference to host Janette Manrara. Wynne has since insisted the phrase was actually a nickname for his co-star Jamie Borthwick, and “wasn’t meant sexually”.

After the scandal, Wynne stepped back from both the tour and his BBC Radio Wales show, saying in a statement at the time: “I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing. I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.”

Last month, Wynne confirmed he would not be returning to his BBC Radio Wales programme, revealing that the broadcaster had decided not to renew his contract. He shared an emotional message with fans, writing: “From the very depths of my heart – thank you. These past few months, your love has been the light in my darkest days. Every message, every word of encouragement, every moment you stood by me has carried me through more than you could ever know.”

He added: “It breaks my heart to say the BBC has decided not to renew my contract so I won’t be returning to my radio show. I’m gutted. That show wasn’t just work—it was home. It was us. We laughed, we cried, we sang like nobody was listening. And somehow, through the airwaves, we became a family.”

However, Wynne is determined not to disappear from the airwaves entirely, and went on to announce his plans to launch an independent radio show, telling fans: “But here’s what I believe with everything I’ve got: what we built cannot end here. So – deep breath – here goes… We’re getting the band back together.

“The Wynne Evans Show is coming back, live every day from 9am – 12pm on a new app, on Alexa and Google (we don’t have to say ‘smart speaker’ anymore!) and at www.wynneevansshow.co.uk. This is our next adventure. And I need you more than ever. We will have great music, my question of the day, the mystery voice, your soundtrack stories and so much more, because we have each other again.”

ITV’s harsh truth: Richard Arnold survives the Axe – Were Lorraine & Loose Women treated Unfairly?

One of Good Morning Britain’s most popular presenters has survived the axe in ITV‘s cost-cutting bl00dbath.

The channel revealed that it will make huge cuts to its daytime slate with job losses in excess of 220, with Lorraine and Loose Women set to be axed for half the year as part of the measures.

But while there were fears that some of GMB‘s biggest names could also lose their jobs on the show, one particular star has been told he’ll keep his job.

Richard Arnold, who regularly fronts the show’s showbiz segment, has been told he will remain on the show.

A source told The Sun: ‘Richard is one of ITV daytime’s best-loved faces never mind on GMB.

‘Viewers enjoy his slots and he remains very much part of the furniture.’

It’s also thought that producers Andrew Bullock. Martin Dixon. Elle Vickery, who are known within the company as ‘RAP’ for Richard Arnold Producers – are also all safe.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Good Morning Britain for comment.

It was reported in May that Adil Ray is also facing the axe from GMB as part of the new money-saving measures.

The host’s time on the show has been marred in controversy, including accusations of being ‘woke’ and ‘fat-shaming’ darts champion Luke Littler.

ITV did not deny that Ray was in trouble amid a huge cost-saving exercise at the channel.

Since Ben Shephard’s departure from the show, Adil has been on rotation as a Friday host and fronts the show with either Kate Garraway or Charlotte Hawkins.

But insiders said that following a meeting of senior ITV executives, including daytime boss Emma Gormley, that Adil now faces the chop.

It was previously announced that as part of ITV’s money-saving measures, GMB will be extended by half an hour in the weeks when Lorraine is not on air.

Production of the flagship breakfast show will also be transferred to ITV News within the ITN base at London’s Gray’s Inn Road.

It has been reported that more than a dozen roles are expected to be cut due to ‘certain back office roles’ that are duplicated within the teams of GMB and ITV News, with the cuts expected to save ITV up to £50 million.

Laura Wilshaw, editor of ITV News reportedly sent an email to staff where she revealed the show would be produced on a ‘reduced overall budget.’

It’s also been revealed that current Deputy Editor Daniel Robinson will step up to be GMB’s new programme editor.

The long-serving current editor, Neil Thompson will take up a new high-profile role as Commissioning Editor of Breakfast News.

Host Lorraine has faced the brunt of ITV’s cuts with Good Morning Britain now taking her 9-10am slot for 22 weeks of the year.

For the remaining 30 weeks of the year, Lorraine will present five days a week, meaning her Friday stand-in presenters Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard are no longer needed for the show.

Lorraine’s show has also been slashed in half, now running for just 30 minutes from 9:30am to 10am.

Top TV talents including Lorraine, 65, whose career spans over 40 years, are believed to be ‘furious’ and ‘insulted’ over the shake-up while the Loose Women are already fearing inevitable job losses.

The new regime, set to come into effect in January, will cost a potential 300 staff members their jobs as a consultation period begins as soon as today, lasting until September, before employees are finally let go in December.

ITV sources told MailOnline that they have decided to cut resources on their daytime schedule so that the network can invest in more drama programmes.

One said: ‘There is a need to cost save but also so that the right money can go to the right shows and with everything getting more expensive these things have to be looked at.’

The source added: ‘Christine and Ranvir remain part of the ITV daytime family.’

This Morning, whose presenters include Alison Hammond, Ben Shepherd, and Cat Deeley, remains untouched.

A winking Emmanuel Macron was snapped chatting with Princess Kate after clinking glasses with the royal during last night’s star-studded state banquet.

The French President was joined by the likes of Mick Jagger and Elton John in the glittering event at Windsor Castle.

King Charles and Queen Camilla‘s dinner party kicked off Macron‘s three-day state visit to the UK.

Making a glamorous entrance, the Prince and Princess of Wales were among the British Royal Family members in attendance – with Kate looking elegant as ever in a dark red silk creponne gathered evening gown, with caped back detailing, designed by Sarah Burton for Givenchy.

And she displayed the Rosette of Grand Officier l’ordre nationale du merité and – for the first time – the Royal Family Order of King Charles III with the Order of Elizabeth II and the Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, with a GCVO sash and star.

She accessorised it with a Lily of the Valley embroidered evening clutch and opted for a Lover’s Knot Tiara – a known favourite of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The mother-of-three, 43, who wore her chestnut tresses down in styles waves, was accompanied by her husband Prince William, 43, who was dapper in a tuxedo, adorned with a series of Orders and medals.

She and Macron had been seen bonding after clinking glasses during the festivities.

Also on the guest list were stars including Sir Elton John, accompanied by his husband David Furnish, Sir Mick Jagger, actress Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, footballer Mary Earps, singer Mika and television’s Fred Sirieix.

The last state banquet attended by the princess was in November 2023, marking the South Korean State Visit. Little more than a month later she underwent maj0r abd0minal surg3ry after which she was diagnosed with cnc3r and had pr3ventative chem0therapy.

She did not take part in the Japanese State Visit in June 2024, and only attended the arrival ceremony of when the Qataris visited last December.

Other members of The Firm came out in full force, with the Princess Royal, 74, arriving alongside Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, 70, looking elegant as ever in a white dress adorned with lace, and teamed with matching evening gloves.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were also pictured at the banquet. Sophie, 60, was sophisticated in a structured ivory frock as she walked with her husband Prince Edward, 60.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla herself wore an ivory silk and crepe embroidered evening gown by Fiona Clare, and a sapphire and diamond tiara with matching necklace, earrings – adorned with a bracelet from Queen Elizabeth II’s sapphire suite. Her Majesty was also wearing the Legion d’Honeur French sash, the Garter Star and His Majesty The King’s family order.

Elsewhere, Brigitte Macron opted for a sapphire blue gown, with cape shoulder detailing, on Tuesday evening.

In a charming speech, peppered with French, King Charles referenced how Windsor Castle had been built by ‘my ancestor – and your sometime countryman – William, Duke of Normandy’, with a tactful reference to the fact that he had just taken over the country by conquest.

He went on to describe France as one of the UK’s ‘strongest allies’ facing a ‘a multitude of…complex threats, emanating from multiple directions’ together.

‘These challenges know no borders: no fortress can protect us against them this time,’ said in a reference to the castle.

‘Instead the answer lies in partnership, and we – France and Britain – must help to lead the way.‘

The Macrons are all smiles as they wave to crowds in Windsor

Do YOU think using Windsor instead of Buckingham worked just as well?

The music for this special performance was arranged from the original scores by Welsh musician and composer, John Quirk. The performance will be conducted by Ryan Bancroft, Principal Conductor, BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

It comes as President Macron earlier on Tuesday enjoyed a carriage procession through Windsor with the Royal Family.

King CharlesQueen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales travelled with him and his wife through the town and along part of the Long Walk which leads to the castle, just as former French president Nicolas Sarkozy did on his visit in 2008.

The King and Mr Macron waved from the 1902 State Landau to crowds gathered on the streets, followed by Camilla and Mrs Macron in the Semi-State Landau.

The processional route, lined through the town by the armed forces, took in Datchet Road, Thames Street High Street, Park Street, Cambridge Gate, George IV Gateway to the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle.

When the procession swept into the castle, an array of military units were in position waiting to take part in the ceremonial welcome.

Central was the guard of honour formed by two of the British Army’s oldest regiments: Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards and F Company Scots Guards with the state colours of the regiments.

Mr and Mrs Macron were joined by the King and Queen on a dais, with William and Kate stood nearby.

Sweet moments between Kate and Wills as they welcome Macrons

As the President and King stood waiting for their wives to join them, they shared a few words and Mr Macron warmly touched the King’s back.

The pomp and pageantry featured the Military Knights of Windsor by the castle’s sovereign’s entrance, a detachment of the Household Cavalry nearby and outside the equerries’ entrance was the King’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard.

After the royal salute was given by the soldiers on parade and the French national anthem was played, Major Jake Sayers, captain of the guard of honour, spoke in French to President Macron.

He told the visiting head of state: ‘Your excellency, the guard of honour of the Grenadier Guards and Scots Guards is present and ready for your inspection.’

The French leader was joined by the King as he walked past the guardsmen formed in two lines on the quadrangle of Windsor Castle, as the Massed Band of the Grenadier Guards and the Scots Guards played L’Entente Cordiale.

Earlier, William and Kate greeted the Macrons at about 11.30am and travelled with them to Windsor to meet the King and Queen Camilla for a carriage procession.

The Princess was wearing a Christian Dior jacket, a hat by Jess Collett, Princess Diana’s old earrings and a pearl necklace from Queen Elizabeth II’s collection.

The Christian Dior jacket is the 30 Montaigne Rose Des Vents Bar Jacket from the 2024 collection. The piece was reimagined by Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri who was inspired by the original, which was first created in 1947 by Dior himself.

The King’s Colour Squadron formed a carpet welcome party at the airfield for the Macrons, and they were initially welcomed by Helene Duchene, the King’s Ambassador to France.

After meeting William and Kate, a series of dignitaries were presented to the French couple including Sir Kenneth Olisa, the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London.

Others included Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley and Northolt station commander Captain Jonathan Hough along with Kathryn Colvin, Special Representative of the Foreign Secretary.

Also in the welcome party were members of the British Suite including The Viscount Brookeborough, Lord-in-Waiting; and Dame Menna Rawlings, Ambassador at Paris.

After the Macrons travelled to Windsor with Kate and William, Charles and Camilla formally greeted their guests on a Royal Dais constructed on Datchet Road in the town – with Windsor Castle in the backdrop as gun salutes sound in nearby Home Park.

The King was seen with a small burst blood vessel in his right eye which made it look red. It is understood this happened by accident overnight, and is not related to his cnc3r treatment.

The King and Queen had arrived by car at Dachet Road in Windsor after travelling from the castle ready to meet the Macrons.

Cheers erupted from the crowd as the state limousine made its way slowly down to the dais to the sound of the national anthem.

The Queen was wearing a bright emerald green chiffon dress by Anna Valentine and a hat by Philip Treacy. Camilla was also wearing an emerald and diamond brooch that belonged to the late Queen.

The Macrons swapped kisses and affectionate pats on the arm as they greeted one another on the royal dais in Windsor.

The King kissed Mrs Macron on the hand, while President Macron kissed Queen Camilla’s hand

The Queen and Mrs Macron, who have met many times before, talked with their heads together like old friends.

Mrs Macron greeted her with ‘la bise’ – the customary French greeting of a double cheek air kiss.

The President leaned over to grasp William’s arm as they talked, while the King reached out to Kate with a hand as they said hello.

The Princess curtseyed to the King twice for good measure, seemingly unsure that he had seen it the first time, and performed the same ritual for the Queen before kissing her on the cheek.

At one point Camilla appeared to imitate riding a horse, which made Mrs Macron laugh.

The Princess of Wales gave a deep curtsy to both the King and Queen and Camilla greeted the Prince and Princess of Wales with a kiss on the cheeck.

William, talking to Mr Macron, appeared to point towards the turret of Windsor Castle in the distance, where they will join their guests for lunch and tonight’s state banquet later on.

Finally, as the Franco-British introductions wrapped up, William kissed his stepmother Camilla on the cheek, leaning over to avoid knocking her hat.

The three couples, who stood side by side for the national anthems of France and the UK, spent a few minutes greeting a line-up of dignitaries before splitting up into carriages.

Charles and Camilla are hosting Mr Macron and the first lady at the historic royal residence.

State of Affaire! The Macrons get regal welcome from Will and Kate

It marks the first state visit to the UK by an EU head of state since Brexit, and will see Mr Macron address parliamentarians in the Palace of Westminster’s Royal Gallery and, on Thursday, join a UK-France Summit at Downing Street.

Security was heightened with an enhanced police presence and teams inspecting the area around the castle and checking locations such as flower planters.

Blue, white and red flowers in two large urns in honour of the King’s French guests decorate the specially constructed red-carpeted royal dais outside Windsor and Eton Riverside station.

Cleaners were seen vacuuming the steps of the covered structure, which offers a view of the castle where the famous round tower was flying a celebratory oversized Royal Standard.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead said: ‘We are working closely with Thames Valley Police, the Crown Estate and other key partners, to minimise disruption to those that live and work in, or plan to visit Windsor.’

Mr Macron said his visit to the UK was ‘an important moment for our two nations’ as he promised ‘effective’ action on issues including migration.

He said: ‘The United Kingdom is a strategic partner, an ally, a friend. Our bond is longstanding, forged by history and strengthened by trust.

‘Together, we will address the major challenges of our time: security, defence, nuclear energy, space, innovation, artificial intelligence, migration, and culture.

‘These are all areas in which we seek to act together and deepen our co-operation in a concrete, effective and lasting way.’

They quit Gogglebox eight years ago and have come a long way since then

It’s been eight years since he was last on the show, but if you cast your minds back to 2017 then you might remember former Gogglebox star Josh Tapper.

Josh rose to fame on the Channel 4 show alongside his mum Nikki, dad Jonathan and sister Amy when they joined the cast in 2013 and we basically watched him grow up on screen before he quit the show to move into politics.

But not only has he got a completely different career this days, Josh is also now married after tying the knot with his long-term girlfriend Hannah.

Josh – who is now 27, btw (yes, we feel old too) – married Hannah nine years after they first started dating and their big day was captured by Josh’s sister Amy, who took to social media to share loads of snaps.

Alongside her post, Amy wrote, ‘The new Mr and Mrs Tapper! No words to describe this incredible day from start to finish…

‘I’d say welcome to the family @hannahtapper_ but you’ve been apart of it for 9 years now… this just means officially forever. I love you both more than words will ever describe @joshtapper.’

Doesn’t Josh look so suave? He’s definitely come a long way since his days on the Gogglebox sofa.

After working as an apprentice at No.10 alongside then-Prime Minister Theresa May, Josh branched out on his own and and ran to be an MP last year.

Last March, Josh took to X to reveal that he’d been selected as Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Hartsmere.

‘Thank you so much to local members for your support – I won’t let you down,’ he told his followers.

Unfortunately Josh didn’t win the seat after being beaten by former Deputy Prime Minister, Oliver Dowden, who has been the MP for Hartsmere since 2015.

Josh’s political career started when he bagged an apprenticeship at the Cabinet Office. At the time, a source said, ‘Channel 4 will, of course, keep the door open for him but it’s a really exciting opportunity for him.’

They told The Mirror, ‘It’s a much coveted job. Josh has already started having meetings within No.10.’

Josh’s parents, Jonathan and Nikki, and his sister Amy continued to appear on the show after he left, although they too quit the show not long after.

Amy went on to appear on Celebs Go Dating in 2018 alongside Love Island legends Olivia Attwood and Eyal Booker, TOWIE’s Chloe Sims and actual Sugababe Mutya Buena.

During the coronavirus pandemic, dad Jonathan was left fighting for his life but thankfully made a full recovery and has since been documenting his weight loss on social media.

The List of the Most Controversial couples after leaving Celebrity Big Brother – surprise twist with JoJo Siwa & Chris Hughes!

Celebrity Big Brother 2025 may be done and dusted now, but it’s still got tongues wagging. Did the right person win? What really happened with Mickey Rourke? And, of course, are JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes now an item?

Their flirty, ‘platonic’ friendship was arguably the hottest storyline of CBB 2025 and while they left the house friends, they have since dropped clues that their relationship might’ve evolved into something more romantic.

    Chris and JoJo

While we wouldn’t explicitly class JoJo or Chris as CBB ‘l0ve r@ts’ (saying that, JoJo did dump her partner the moment she was evicted from the house, so maybbbbbeeeee?), their ‘relationship’ has got us thinking about all the other relationships that have formed on the show over the years.

But we are heat, so it’s mainly got us thinking about the ‘l0ve r@ts’ that have been exposed over the years.

Get ready for an icky throwback…

Blue heartthrob Lee Evans said he was single when he entered the show in 2014, and was soon in an on-air love triangle with American model Jasmine Waltz and Essex glamour girl Casey Batchelor.

First, he had a flirtation with Jasmine. She was then evicted from the house and forced to watch Lee’s fling with Casey unfold from home. Awks.

However in a major plot twist, Jasmine re-entered the Big Brother house in a moment of epic reality TV proportions.

Casey’s mum also entered the house and infamously told her daughter, “He’s mugging you off darling.”

To make matters worse, there were rumours that Lee was secretly dating Ukrainian singer Anna Sedokova, however he denied the reports.

After his time on BB, Lee said, ‘I didn’t break anyone’s heart. I wasn’t ch3ating on my wife or anything. I think people need to put it in perspective. Yes, I acted a bit of a t*t but I’m a bit of t*t anyway. I don’t deny that.’

    Stephanie Davies

If you watched CBB in 2016 then you’ll know that it was one of the most iconic series – Tiffany Pollard, Gemma Collins, Christopher Malone, Danniella Westbrook and Megan McKenna were hilarious.

However, it was Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davies and Jeremy McConnell’s relationship that had everyone hooked.

Cast your mind back to 2016 and you probably won’t remember Sam Reece. Now, he did appear on an episode of First Dates the year prior, but he was actually Steph’s boyfriend.

Everyone was shocked when Steph quite literally flirted with her fellow housemate Jeremy McConnell but things took a turn when they kissed under the covers.

Sam was forced to watch the affair from home and he ended their relationship on X (formerly Twitter) by writing, ‘Hi everyone, I will no longer be supporting Stephanie Davis… Thanks for all your support and love you have given me!!’

After the show, Stephanie and Jeremy had a turbulent relationship. He took a paternity test live on This Morning and he was found guilty of attacking Steph. They share their son Caben-Albi but it’s not known if Jeremy is part of his life.

    Stephen Bear

We’ll keep this one quick, ’cause yuck.

A few months after Stephanie Davis’ series Stephen Bear cause major drama in the CBB house.

While he entered the house still dating Lillie Lexie Gregg (aka Gaz Beadle’s ex), he started getting it on with Playboy model Chloe Khan and the pair even l0cked themselves in the t0ilet but viewers could still hear the fumble of m::ffled micr0phones.

After, Bear essentially dumped Lillie on TV, by saying, ‘I need to be single. I thought I would be with [Lillie] forever, but after thinking in here, she’s not the one. I haven’t got time for a girlfriend.’

However, after watching Bear and Chloe’s X-rat3d frolics on TV, Lillie entered the house in the midst of a challenge by declaring, ‘I was Stephen’s girlfriend’.

She went on to say, ‘Obviously, this was like the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, to walk in through that door. I just needed to see you and look at you in the eyes.’

All the housemates – including Sam Faiers, Ollie Locke and Dappy – were left cringing in a mic-drop-esque moment.

Back in Big Brother’s hay day, The Ordinary Boys singer Preston’s iconic romance with Chantelle Houghton was a moment for reality TV history. Chantelle was the only non-celebrity in the 2006 series, and was given the task of convincing other contestants she was famous. We told you, Big Brother’s hay day. REALITY TV HISTORY.

Only, this little tidbit may have escaped your memory: Preston had a serious girlfriend of one-year, Camille Aznar when he entered the house in 2006. Three months after the show, Preston and Chantelle got married. But another ten months later, they separated, and he got back with Camille, which didn’t last long either. It’s hard to keep up, we know.

In 2010, Preston and Chantelle were reunited on TV once again when they returned to the house in Ultimate Big Brother, which bizarrely saw them spending what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary together.

    Bianca Gascoigne

In 2017, Glamour model Bianca Gascoigne had a professional MMA cage fighter boyfriend at home but when she entered the Big Brother house, she had a fling with former footballer Jamie O’Hara.

Following the onscreen romance, CJ Meeks moved his belongings out of his home with Bianca and admitted he’d planned on proposing, but it was all over.

Meanwhile, Bianca and Jamie’s relationship became very intense with Jamie even calling her ‘The One’ and the duo made several racy trips to the loo together. Again, viewers could hear the sound of muffled microphones.

Only, Jamie dumped Bianca four days after they left the Big Brother house and flew to Dubai with his ex.

Bianca publicly regretted the fling with Jamie and told new! magazine, ‘All I can say is I am really disappointed, it wasn’t a showmance for me.’

Despite reuniting with her ex CJ on a night out in Essex, Bianca said on This Morning that CJ wasn’t her boyfriend and the pair had been on / off.

CJ’s statement was then read out on This Morning and it said, ‘Bianca knows the truth and so do I. And, if there was doubt about our relationship, she should have said months before, not gone on national television and ch3ated on me. I’ve done nothing wrong in this situation, she has.

‘I adored her. She has to live with what she’s done. She made her bed, now let her lie in it. As I said previously, I wish her all the best.’

    Katia Ivanova

Katia Ivanova shot to fame as the girlfriend of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, who she met in a London bar where she worked as a waitress, after dropping some cigarette ash on his trousers.

After their split, Katia began dating Dan Turner and the pair were in a relationship when she entered the Big Brother house in 2010. Again though, things took a turn and Dan watched Katia ch3at with Swedish DJ, Basshunter (real name Jonas Altberg).

Their romance was short-lived. Katie told fellow housemate Lady Sovereign that she was only flirting with him because she was bored and ended it before labelling him ‘too clingy’.

Jonas called her a ‘heartbreaker’ and made her cry in the CBB after saying, ‘Well, you are in here because of a public relationship.’

IRL, Dan ended the relationship, telling the Sunday Mirror, ‘It was extremely hard to watch. Katia gave me some of the best times, but also some of the worst.’

And after leaving the CBB house, Katia said, ‘Jonas and I had a connection – we got on really well. What’s not to like about him – he is young, good looking and successful.

‘At first I thought he was not my type, but I found all the flirting really exciting and in the end couldn’t help myself.’

After her fairy-tale wedding to West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen, Love Island’s Dani Dyer is ready for the next chapter in her life – which could see her hitting the Strictly dance floor.

We’re told the former Love Island winner is reportedly in discussions to join the next series of the BBC show. ‘Dani is still on cloud nine after her wedding, but once she’s back from her honeymoon, she wants to concentrate on her career. She’s thrilled to be in the running for Strictly. For her, it means she’s finally shaken off her Love Island tag,’ a source tells heat. ‘She hasn’t signed anything yet, but is in late stage talks – and her and the BBC are desperate to make it work.’

While the show – which is rumoured to be lining up Stacey Solomon, Georgia Toffolo, Helen Flanagan, Ashley Cain and Tom Parker-Bowles to star – has been plagued by the infamous Strictly curse over the years, we’re told that the newlyweds are not even remotely worried.

‘Dani knows she and Jarrod won’t fall victim to the curse as they have no trust issues. Plus, she’s joked that they’re far too early on in their relationship to start looking elsewhere,’ our insider says. ‘Lots of other couples – such as Frankie and Wayne Bridge, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her husband Richard Jones, and Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch – have survived it, so it doesn’t really concern her.’

Dani and Jarrod, both 28, tied the knot on 31 May in a Bridgerton-inspired wedding in Buckinghamshire. The bride, who was walked down the aisle by actor dad Danny, wore two stunning ‘dresses of dreams’ – a £10k Suzanne Neville gown, followed by a custom hand-embellished mini dress with over 12,000 Swarovski crystals by Josephine Scott. The couple – who first met in 2021 – had their two-year-old twin daughters Summer and Star as flower girls, while Dani’s son Santiago, four, from a previous relationship was a page boy. ‘The best day of my entire life, and a day that I will want to relive forever,’ she told followers on Instagram.

The fact that Dani is not bothered by the so-called curse doesn’t change the fact that plenty of celebs have fallen victim, including Louise Redknapp, Rachel Riley and Stacey Dooley. However, rather than worrying about if the show would take a toll on their new marriage, our insider says that Dani’s biggest concern is childcare.

We’re told, ‘This is the main worry for Dani, as Jarrod plays football most Saturdays and that’s when Strictly is filmed, so she would be very reliant on friends and family to help with the kids. Jarrod is fully behind her and her dad thinks it will open up so many other opportunities for her.’

Despite this, Dani’s looking forward to showing off her moves and learning a new skill. ‘She’s hoping she can get the deal done as she feels it’s now or never for her – she doesn’t have any other huge commitments, apart from the children and her podcast with Danny,’ says the insider. ‘Next year, she could be pregnant again and who knows what will be happening with Jarrod’s career. She’s also in great shape right now, so she wants to continue that. Everyone says that doing Strictly is the best workout ever and they have never felt better.’

Dani’s decision to take part in BBC’s flagship show comes after Rivals star Danny said he has turned down offers to appear on it. ‘I get offered to do Strictly every year, and it’s not for me. I’ve got no desire to be mincing around in sequins,’ he said.

But we’re told BBC bosses are over the moon that Dani has agreed, and they think she’ll be a huge hit. Our source says, ‘The producers are thrilled she’s agreed to take part and are ironing out her fee. She’s bubbly, down-to-earth and straight-talking. They reckon she’ll make an ideal contestant – not to mention the bonus of having Jarrod and dad Danny in the audience supporting her.’

EXCLUSIVE: “I’m no longer scared of FOMO” – In his latest interview, Mark Wright, 38, opens up about first-time fatherhood after wife Michelle Keegan, 37, gave birth to daughter Palma – Reveals fresh worries as he nears 40!

Mark Wright talks fatherhood, turning 40, and why he doesn’t want to be pigeonholed

    Mark

Since his wife Michelle Keegan gave birth to their baby daughter Palma back in March, life has been a whirlwind for former TOWIE star Mark Wright. As well as adjusting to being a new dad, Mark, 38, has transitioned from OG TOWIE cast member to various other reality roles – including A Wright Family Holiday with his dad Big Mark, and brother Josh.

As for what comes next in his telly future, Mark tells heat, ‘At the moment, there is no big plan. I don’t like to pigeonhole myself. If something new comes up, I’ll give it a go. I’m someone who likes to keep moving and do different things. When it comes to TV, I love doing all sorts of projects. Whether it be hosting a dating show – which I’ve done twice – or sports, which I’ve done on Sky, or travelling the country with my dad and brother, and now my building renovating programme. I like to mix it up, and I can never tell you what’s coming next, because it’s a surprise to me, let alone anyone else.’

However, Mark – who married Michelle, 37, in 2015 – is more than happy to stay true to his reality TV roots, telling us he won’t be turning his hand to acting projects any time soon. ‘I’ve been asked to audition for a couple of different roles in the past,’ he says. ‘But I’ll leave that to the wife! I like hosting and travel shows, but maybe one day, who knows?’

Back in 2017, Mark spent a year-and-a-half in LA working as a roving reporter for Extra on the E! channel, but now that he’s a dad, he’s content to stay put in Blighty. He tells heat, ‘I’ve sort of got my dream scenario at the moment, because I still work with Extra TV and do stuff for them over here in England, so I get to keep my feet on the ground in my homeland, which I love so much. I’ve done it now, so I don’t really get the FOMO, and luckily the door has been left open.’ He’s also kept hold of those celebrity connections, revealing, ‘I still keep in touch with [Extra presenter] Mario Lopez, I spoke to him just a few days ago.’

Of course, no career highlight will outshine becoming a dad for Mark. He previously opened up about becoming a first-time father on his Heart breakfast show to his co-host and longtime pal Olly Murs. He said, ‘My little baby Palma, I love you so much and I can’t wait to spend my life with you. It’s the best feeling in the world – I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face. That first moment when I held her in my arms, I suppose everything else goes out the window.’

While Mark has everything he could dream of, we’re surprised to learn he’s still petrified to turn the big 4-0 in a couple of years. He admits, ‘If my thirties are anything to go by, then I’m worried, because I cried the day I turned 30. It just felt like an age where shit was getting real. My twenties were such a whirlwind – I’d just turned 23 when I first got on television – and everything sort of happened for me. I was still partying and having fun, and when I turned 30, I just felt more responsible. But I shouldn’t have cried, because I’ve loved my thirties, they’ve been incredible. I already feel like I’m 40 with the way I live my life. I’m settled down and I’m in bed by 9pm every night, so I don’t think it’s going to change much.’

He adds, ‘My dad always says to me life begins at 40. So, if life is going to step up even more than it already has for me, then I will be extremely happy, because I feel very blessed to have an amazing life.’
