Eamonn Holmes has savaged Meghan Markle with a brutal comment regarding her Netflix show. With Love, Meghan was released in March, and while it gained interest, the programme was largely criticised.

The Duchess of Sussex’s show has already been renewed for a second season, which will be released sometime this autumn. Today, GB News host Eamonn Holmes said that he simply “cannot identify” with anything in her show.

Speaking to royal commentator Ellen Coughlan, the pair talked about the Sussexes’ Netflix deal, whch is coming to an end this year before they commented on With Love, Meghan.

Ms Coughlan said: “I’m not sure what their next Netflix move is going to be. The polo documentary did quite well for Harry, but I know Meghan’s lifestyle show hasn’t done particularly well. So it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with next. It’s not as if they’re short of cash, they’re reportedly worth about £44million between them.”

She added: “I don’t see them running to food banks anytime soon. I don’t think we need to worry too much about them in that respect.”

Then the GB News host said: “I’m just curious, I’ve never met anybody who’s watched or listened to anything they’ve done. Have you seen Meghan’s lifestyle programme? And if so, tell me about it.”

Ms Coughlan replied that she did but only as part of her watch, dubbing it not her “cupt of tea”.

She said: “But I did watch it, and I can see why some people liked it, and also why others didn’t. It was heavily curated, very Instagram-friendly, very Martha Stewart.

“I think a lot of people were hoping for a more raw, gritty Meghan, with some insight into her real life. More like what we get with the Kardashians, let’s say.

“But we’re not going to get that from Meghan and Harry. They have to curate their image carefully because, as you can tell, everything they put out gets picked apart with a fine-tooth comb.”

Mr Holmes said: “So what I’m sort of getting at is, does Meghan’s content resonate with you at all? You mentioned it’s a bit Martha Stewart-like, but does anything in the show make you want to bake cakes or remind you of home?

“Because I’ll be honest, there’s nothing in Meghan Markle’s house that I feel I can identify with.”

The royal commentator replied that Meghan’s show is “very Californian” and most likely targeted at stay-at-home mums or “people who have time to put flowers in ice cubes”.

But she added: “But actually, watching it, I did have a moment of, oh, I want to go back to baking. So there was a little nostalgic spark in there even if it’s not quite my world.”

Eamonn Holmes has launched an attack on Labour’s foreign aid spending, insisting British taxpayers cannot afford it as the GB News star reflected on his own health issues.

During this morning’s instalment of GB News, host Eamonn Holmes was left fuming over Foreign Secretary David Lammy pledging a £94.5million support package to the Syr1an Government.

Eamonn shared: “This makes me quite angry. Why give £100million to Syr1a? We could sit and have an argument about it and whatever. The point is, the country can’t afford it. We can’t afford it, the taxpayer can’t afford it. So what the heck are we doing it for?”

The former This Morning star, whose health has been declining in recent years, then highlighted his financial concerns about ageing.

He told viewers, “It’s funny how people always make out that the older you are, the richer you are and that you have no financial worries. And yet, as you get older, you worry more about money.

“You worry about whether you will be able to afford care, whether you will be able to afford a care home, or whether you will be able to afford just being looked after in general. And there are demands on whatever money you have.”

He continued making a point by concluding that funding for cnc3r care, hospitals and h0spices is “also broken”.

Eamonn remarked: “Another thing that annoys me is that you look at cnc3r care centres, h0spices and whatever, and a massive proportion of what they do they have to fund themselves.

“Why the heck would a h0spice have to fund itself? I think it’s absolutely scandalous, ridiculous. The whole care situation is broken.”

Eamonn needs to use a wheelchair at times and has difficulty with his mobility, which is primarily related to chronic back pain. The issues started in 2021 when he slipped three discs and underwent spinal surgery.

Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson’s eldest daughter has opened up publicly for the first time about her father’s divorce from her mother, Francis Cain. Emily Clarkson, 30, discussed her experience on her podcast ‘Should I Delete That?’ with co-host Alex Light.

The conversation turned to relationships, prompting Emily to reflect on her parents’ separation in 2014, following a 21-year marriage.

She shared her perspective on what it was like to navigate a high-profile divorce, given her father’s fame from hosting Top Gear at the time.

Emily described the unusual experience of having her family’s personal life under scrutiny.

She said: “My parents got separated publicly, it all happened quite publicly, and it’s a really weird thing as a kid. It’s weird as a kid to read something that you’re upset about.”

Now, as an adult, Emily acknowledged that she had never spoken about this aspect of her life before, but felt it was relevant to share.

She continued: “No-one talks to you about the press element because they’re just going to talk about… you know, you focus on the big fire which is in the house, rather than what it looks like from outside.”

This isn’t the first time Emily has discussed the challenges that come with having a famous father.

As an author and podcaster, she has taken steps to shield herself from unwanted attention, including hiring a private investigator to track down online trolls from gossip site Tattle Life.

 

Emily shared on the same podcast how a gossip forum became their central concern. She said: “Tattle has been the biggest thorn in our sides. You and I, Al, have genuinely been heartbroken by this; it’s affected me to the point where I’ve had to block it on all devices.”

The strain was felt deeply as she mentioned, “It felt really nice to know they could be found, and if you push me too far, I know who you are. If I read my thread, I’d think I’m the worst person in the world.”

Emily has also opened up on her rapport with Lisa Hogan, Jeremy’s partner, which remains positive.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lisa expressed joy that her daughter from her previous relationship is getting along well with Jeremy’s daughter.

She said: “Emily has this podcast called Shall I Delete That? and she spoke about my daughter in such a sweet way that I burst out crying.

“They’ve known each other for nine years, and I think they really care about each other.”

Controversial US commentator Candace Owens has launched into a scathing takedown of Meghan Markle over a resurfaced clip of the Duchess discussing motherhood—branding her tone “condescending” and accusing her of “pr3tend1ng to be a human b3ing.” Candace shared a viral clip from Meghan Markle’s interview with Drew Barrymore earlier this year, which shows the Duchess explaining how she stays connected with her children, Archie and Lilibet while travelling.

She says: “I always make a point when I’m travelling if I can’t do bedtime stories with my kids because Archie and Lilly are three and five, so I’ll always pack a really thin book and I’ll videotape myself reading it so whoever is with them can say here’s your bedtime story. You find ways to show up for each other. and if that’s the one thing that I can convey through the show or through As Ever as a brand I want people to know you can show up for each other because you know how good it feels when someone shows up for you.”

But the US commentator wasn’t impressed—and didn’t hold back. Reacting on her self-titled podcast, Candace said the clip “instantly raged” her despite being only around ten seconds long.

“What is it about her and that that just infuriates me?” she asked. “It s0unds fak3. It s0unds s3lf-indulg3nt.”

Candace, 36, continued: “There’s something incredibly condescending about the way she speaks. Like this is supposed to be relatable? It’s not. It’s annoying.”

She then mocked Meghan’s bedtime routine: “I’m away for one night so I record myself reading the book and send it to my husband who’s doing bedtime, as opposed to just being a dad and reading the book.”

Candace, who is married to British aristocrat George Farmer, argued the moment wasn’t about connection but self-promotion, saying: “That doesn’t make you sound like a better mum.

“It makes you s0und really kind of into y0urself in a way that’s just not n3cessary.”

She then played a clip from comedian Tim Dillon, who mocked the viral moment where Meghan spoke to Mindy Kaling about how much it meant to share the last name “Sussex” with her kids.

“Would it mean a lot if it wasn’t royal though?” he asked. “Do you see her eyes? She’s doing an impression of a human being.”

Candace agreed with Dillon’s assessment, questioning Meghan’s authenticity altogether: “Bingo. It’s like she’s playing a human being… like it’s a performance. It’s season three of some show where she’s required to pretend that she’s a human being. That drives me insane.”

She added: “Just let Dad read the book. Especially when you’re tying it into your brand. That’s what got me.”

But some listeners leapt to the Duchess’s defence, adding: “I think she tries too hard to be relatable and likeable; she just needs to be herself; no one is perfect.”

Another penned: “Meghan raises her children HER WAY…as does every mother on this planet!”

An impressive cast for its forthcoming drama centred on ex-England manager Sir Gareth Southgate has been revealed by the BBC.

It is a TV adaptation of the acclaimed play, Dear England, that is currently under production.

The four-part series will be penned by renowned playwright James Graham, known for his work on Sherwood and Quiz.

Dear England delves into Southgate’s time as the national team manager, scrutinising the pressures of top-tier sport and the significance of the men’s football team in the nation’s consciousness.

Like the stage version, it will also investigate how Southgate reshaped perceptions of masculinity within the England squad.

Despite a history of stumbling at international tournaments and notorious penalty shootout failures, Southgate managed to turn the tide.

His tenure saw the Three Lions reach the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the final of UEFA Euro 2020, the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and the final of UEFA Euro 2024. This includes a remarkable record of winning three out of four penalty shootouts, reports Surrey Live.

Joseph Fiennes, who portrayed Southgate on stage, will reprise his role for the series. Fiennes is also recognised for his roles in The Handmaid’s Tale and Shakespeare in Love.

Joining him are former Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker, who will play Pippa Grange, the psychologist for the England men’s team. Jason Watkins (The Game, The Crown) will portray former FA chairman Greg Dyke, while John Hodgkinson (Small Axe, Life After Life) will return to his stage role as ex-FA chairman Greg Clarke.

Daniel Ryan, known for his roles in ‘The Bay’ and ‘The Hack’, is set to portray Steve Holland, the former assistant manager of the England men’s team. Sam Spruell, who has appeared in ‘The Gold’ and ‘Fargo’, will also feature as the fictional coach Mike Webster.

The BBC has announced the actors who will be portraying legendary footballers, with some reprising their roles from a stage production and others making their screen debuts as they embody some of the world’s most renowned footballers.

Political commentator Alice Grant waded in on the Prime Minister and said: “Considering we voted for Brexit, and that we wanted to take back control of our borders, and now we’re being needy and asking them for help.

“It’s ridiculous. Of course, we’re paying billions, and the French – there’s no guarantee that they will even enforce these obligations.”

She added: “I think what’s most worrying is that obviously, Keir Starmer talked tough on migration, but this is a total, complete set-up. The one-in-one-out policy is a joke, frankly. It will actually create an incentive to have even more migration here. It’s not solving any problems.”

And Sir Rod, 80, admitted his busy schedule is the reason the album is not finished.

“It’s all down to me again,” he said. “So I’ve got to get the lyrics finished. I’m working so bloody hard. I’ve got two albums on the go, two documentaries. I’m just supposed to be doing a book about my model railway, which I’ve just dropped. I ain’t got the time. But there is a documentary. We have been filming it for some time.”

Jeremy Clarkson’s pub launch turned into a disaster on Clarkson’s Farm—and now locals claim US star Ellen DeGeneres might be partly to blame. Season four of the hit Prime Video series showed the mayhem that unfolded during the August 2024 opening of Clarkson’s Cotswolds pub, The Farmer’s Dog. Viewers watched as the toilets and kitchen were forced to shut down, and customers were turned away in droves after the pub ran out of water just two days into business.

At the time, Jeremy’s plumber suggested the issue stemmed from the nearby hamlet of Asthall. In episode eight, Jeremy said: “I was hoping the problem was something trivial, but the plumber quickly realised it was being caused by the village down the hill.” The plumber then explained: “As far as I know, the water pipe comes all the way up the hill from Asthall village. When everyone in the village is turning their water supply on, showers, filling up pots and pans and kettles, it doesn’t then have the oomph to push it up the hill [to the pub].”

Now a local from Asthall, who did not wish to be named, has claimed the problem may have been made worse by Ellen DeGeneres – who was refilling a massive swimming pool at her newly purchased farmhouse nearby.

“It was around the August Bank Holiday weekend [2024] that the swimming pool at Ellen’s farmhouse was being refilled,” the local told the Daily Mirror. “Pools of that size filled with normal mains water can take a week to nine days to fill—sometimes even longer, depending on the local mains water pressure.

“If you can imagine having all the taps on to fill the pool, that has to take a lot of water out of the system, and Asthall really is just a very small hamlet with a handful of houses.”

Ellen bought the £15 million property – complete with a 56ft pool – in June 2023 after leaving her Montecito home in protest at D0nald Trmp’s second election win.

She and her wife, Portia de Rossi, didn’t move in until October, following months of renovations. The couple were later spotted at a live music night at Jeremy’s pub in December.

They reportedly loved The Three Horseshoes, the only other pub in the village, so much that they had a replica of its bar built in their farmhouse. The 56ft-long, 12ft-wide pool is 6ft deep and holds an estimated 112,896 litres of water.

Locals claim it was emptied, cleaned and refilled around the same time as the pub opening. Jeremy bought the pub for £1million and rebranded it The Farmer’s Dog.

He and his girlfriend, Lisa Hogan, later admitted they couldn’t bring themselves to watch the final two episodes of Clarkson’s Farm because the pub launch had been so stressful.

Lewis Capaldi has credited therapy for his triumphant return to music, two years after a crippling battle with T0urette’s syndrome left him unable to finish his Glastonbury set and convinced the singer that his career was over.

Capaldi was headlining at the Worthy Farm music festival in 2023 when his well publicised struggle with T0urette’s manifested itself in front of thousands of fans.

Emotional footage captures revellers singing the lyrics to his hit single Someone You Loved in unison after he struggled to complete his set.

Reflecting on the performance, Capaldi, 28 – who has teamed up with BetterHelp, the world’s largest online therapy platform, for a new promotional campaign – admits he thought it would be the last of his career.

‘I think I probably knew two songs into the set at Glastonbury that I couldn’t do it,’ he said. ‘Glastonbury’s obviously a big deal – it’s kind of like the biggest deal –  and it was the Pyramid Stage, so it was a big old gig.

‘Second song in I was like probably like, I can’t keep doing this to myself and other people as well. People are coming to gigs, it’s not how you want to watch a show. And as far as I was concerned, I was like “I’m done indefinitely.”‘

The singer-songwriter subsequently announced a hiatus from music while he prioritised his mental health, but looking back he believes he also needed a complete break from the industry as a whole.

‘I didn’t take a break to just focus on getting better,’ he said. ‘I took a break because I needed a break, and to sort of release the pressure valve a little bit.’

T0urette’s, a neurological condition characterised by a combination of involuntary noises and movements called tics, can cause speech and voice abnormalities.

Fans were widely praised for helping Capaldi through his 2023 Glastonbury slot after the condition derailed his performance – with many describing it as a beautiful moment of solidarity.

But the talented singer-songwriter admits he views the incident through a darker lens.

‘I watch it back and I actually feel sad, watching it,’ he admits. ‘I don’t watch it back as everyone else does, and they go “what an incredible moment.”

‘It is a beautiful moment, and people were really helping me, and they helped me get through it. They made it a much less embarrassing moment. If people weren’t singing along it would’ve been pretty bleak.’

He added: ‘The reason I got so anxious in the first place was because I wasn’t living in the moment at all. I was catastrophising, thinking about all the things that could go wrong.

WHAT IS TOURETTE’S SYNDROME?

 T0urette’s syndrome is a neurological condition characterised by a combination of involuntary noises and movements called tics.

It usually starts during childhood and continues into adulthood. Tics can be either be vocal or physical.

In many cases T0urette’s syndrome runs in families and it’s often associated with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

T0urette’s syndrome is named after the French doctor, Georges Gilles de la T0urette, who first described the syndrome and its symptoms in the 19th century. 

There’s no cure for T0urette’s syndrome, but treatment can help to control the symptoms.

‘I don’t think I was present enough to appreciate what was happening when it was happening, and that’s why when I watch it back now – because it is an uplifting thing to watch – I don’t look at it as an uplifting, happy video.’

An emotional Capaldi made a triumphant return to the same stage for a secret Glastonbury set on June 25, in conjunction with the release of new single Survive – widely expected to feature on his yet to be announced third studio album.

And he credits a change in therapy for his renewed success, after turning to a new counsellor following his difficulties in 2023.

‘The therapist I have now I’ve worked with for the last two years, and he’s great. He’s the best therapist I’ve worked with,’ he said. ‘I would say that has been the cornerstone of why I feel good now.’

He added: ‘Therapy has been a massive part of the reason why I’m able to be a musician again.’

The Scottish star was greeted with cheers from the huge Worthy Farm crowd, to whom he sung a number of his greatest hits – including Someone You Loved.

The Spice Girls could finally be set for a reunion at Mel B’s second wedding, which MailOnline can exclusively reveal will be held in Morocco.

Mel, 50, walked down the aisle for a third time on Saturday when she tied the knot with hairdresser Rory McPhee, 37, at St Paul’s Cathedral.

A host of celebrities were in attendance for the service, but Emma Bunton was the only Spice Girl to make an appearance.

While Victoria Beckham and Mel C were quick to offer up their apologies – paying tribute to Mel on social media – Geri Halliwell-Horner has remained tight-lipped on the matter amid reports differences between the pair.

Now, Geri will be given the chance to extend an olive branch to Mel if she attends the North African ceremony – which holds a significance for the girl band.

In 2015, the Spice Girls had a mini reunion in Morocco when they jetted there to celebrate David Beckham‘s 40th birthday.

Sporty, Posh, Baby and Ginger looked in great spirits as they posed for snaps at the event – but ironically – this time Mel B was the only Spice Girl not in attendance.

Instead, Eva Longoria filled in for Scary – joking ‘I’m the new Spice Girl! #LatinaSpice’.

Now, there will be chance to get a snap of the full lineup in Morocco if they attend Mel’s second wedding in the summer – which she has described as ‘more informal, s3xy and beautiful’.

Mel recently shared a glimpse of her quirky ‘just married’ outfit following her lavish wedding day.

She took to her Instagram following the ceremony as she joined her new husband at they celebrated at their £28K reception at iconic London landmark the Shard. 

Guests including Alan Carr and Leigh Francis were quick to offer their congratulations, while fellow bandmate Geri remained silent.

The pair have a tempestuous relationship and at times have struggled to be in the same room without there being animosity.

Geri continued to snub Mel B on Sunday after her lavish wedding weekend – while the likes of Heidi Klum, Paloma Faith and Kerry Katona led the stars sending the Spice Girl congratulatory messages following the ceremony.

However other Spice Girl Victoria was quick to comment under Mel’s post saying: ‘Congratulations!!!!! We hope you had an amazing day!!!! X kisses xxxxxxxxc.’

Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field said under the post: ‘Congratulations !’.

Mel C also shared a sweet snap of Mel B and her new husband as they celebrated their wedding day on Saturday.

Sporty Spice was notably absent as her Spice Girl bandmate said ‘I do’ to her fiancé Rory in London in front of a string of very A-list guests.

Mel was unable to attend no doubt due to scheduling conflicts, as she was performing in Sweden, but still wanted to share her excitement and happiness for the pair and took to her Instagram to share a photograph of the newlyweds.

Admitting that she was ‘gutted’ not to be there, she made reference to the fact they would all see each other and meet up in the not too distant future.

Posting some sweet words online, she gushed in the caption: ‘So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn’t be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!’

Victoria also missed the ceremony but did share a sweet black and white throwback of herself and the bride with bandmates Geri, Mel and Emma to her Instagram.

Posh, 51, captioned the snap: ‘Congratulations @officalmelb @rorymcphee on your special day! I couldn’t be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness! kisses xx’

Hours earlier, Victoria had also posted another tribute to the couple on Friday with a photograph of herself and Mel looking glamorous together at a recent event.

She gushed in a caption: ‘Sending love to you @officialmelb! @rorymcphee is a very lucky man! xx’

Ahead of the wedding, sources told the Mail that there was no bad blood between Victoria and Mel but was simply a scheduling conflict.

They said: ‘Victoria has long standing plans out of the country and she simply can’t be there. She adores Mel, they get on really well despite their paths going in opposite directions. It’s a real shame.

‘There is no issue between them, they haven’t fallen out. It’s just one of those things.’

Geri was taken aback after Mel B revealed that they had had an int1mate r3lationship when the band was starting out while she was being interviewed for Piers Morgan’s Life Stories programme.

Geri was said to have been deeply upset by the b0mbshell revelation in 2019, for which Mel has apparently never apologised.

Sources also say that Geri’s husband Christian Horner was ‘mortified’ about Mel’s claims.

Though the other Spice Girls were absent, Emma was in attendance and looked gorgeous in a stylish pink dress as she stepped out to support Mel B.

Emma was accompanied by husband Jade Jones and their son Beau, 17, with both men looking dapper for the big day.

After heading out of the cathedral, Baby Spice kindly stopped and signed her autograph for an eager fan.
