THE first two series of Time won praise and awards, and now I can reveal the prison drama will be back for a third stretch.

Written once more by the acclaimed Jimmy McGovern, filming is set to start later this year with a view to potentially airing on BBC One in 2026.

The debut season was set in a men’s jail, the second a female-only facility, and this run of episodes will take place in an institution for young offenders.

A TV insider said: “The parallels between the new show’s central topic and Netflix’s recent hit, Adolescence, are obvious, but entirely coincidental.

“Though both deal with adolescent offending and its consequences, the third series of Time would most likely have gone down this path anyway.

“But it is certainly a theme which will prove highly immersive for audiences who have already been introduced to the world of young offenders through Adolescence.

“It’s not clear yet which actors will take the lead in the new show, but the lead roles are guaranteed to be sought after.”

The first series of Time aired on BBC One in 2021, starring Stephen Graham as a prison guard and Sean Bean as a lag.

At the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards, it won Best Mini-Series, while Sean scooped the Best Actor gong and Stephen was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

Season two aired in 2023, also on BBC One, starring Jodie Whittaker, fresh from playing the Doctor in Doctor Who, and The Last Of Us star Bella Ramsey.

But before taking us back behind bars, writer Jimmy is likely to be preoccupied with the publicity for his next BBC show, Unforgivable, which stars Anna Friel, David Threlfall and Anna Maxwell Martin.

Set and filmed in Liverpool, the BBC Two and iPlayer fictional drama will look at the impact of gr00ming and s3xual abuse on a family, and is expected to air later this year.

The BBC was approached for comment.

There’ll soon be more than one TV show offering an interesting Strictly pairing.

I can reveal that pro dancers Carlos Gu and Amy Dowden, who are also gearing up for this year’s BBC dance contest, are forming a duo for the next Celebrity Hunted on Channel 4.

They’ll be joined on the series, which has yet to get an air date, by Love Island hunks Chris Taylor and Toby Aromolaran, who’ll also form a pair.

Former EastEnders star Brian Conley and his daughter Lucy, who’s also an entertainer, join the line up.

And yesterday Scarlette Douglas and her brother Stuart – hosts of Channel 4’s Worst House On The Street – were also announced as contestants.

As they all go on the run, it’s likely Amy and Carlos will be lightest on their feet.

TV host and comedian Frank Skinner ended up in A&E last week after getting s:nburnt digging up a body in last week’s heatwave.

It wasn’t even for any kind of show, he just decided to take part in an archaeological dig for fun in his own time.

Talking on the latest episode of his podcast Frank On The Radio, which has recently dropped, the comic explained: “I was exhuming an Anglo-Saxon body.

“I was given a grave, you’re working away and then a skull appears.

“I really hate sun block so I don’t normally use it, I just think: ‘Keep an eye on the clock – 20 minutes on my front, 20 minutes on my back’.

“But it was so hot last Monday – I actually ended up in A&E I was so badly burnt.”

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper showed his true colours at the British Grand Prix as he snʋbbed British drivers Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell and backed Australian Oscar Piastri. The Australian McLaren driver is locked in a title challenge with team-mate Lando Norris as the orange – sorry, Papaya – clad team look to keep ahead of nearest rival, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

In an action packed 52 laps at Silverstone, it was ultimately Norris who came out on top, pipping Piastri to the top step of the podium with an assured drive in the rain, and of course Oscar’s 10-second penalty. Verstappen, too, had a day to forget in the wet as he skidded off at the restart due to a lack of grip in the rain and had to damage control back to 5th.

Before the race, Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper was spotted by Channel 4 F1 hosts David Coulthard and Mark Webber on the grid walk, where the pair cornered Kaleb and asked him who he’s backing.

Kaleb told them: “It’s a bit overwhelming there’s a lot of people. It’s like being in a sheep race. This is incredibly noisy, it’s so loud I can’t even hear myself think. I thought tractors were loud but actually, these cars are unreal.”

Then Mark Webber asked Kaleb ‘who’s your money on?’, and Kaleb showed his true colours and stayed loyal to his gracious host Oscar, and told the pair: “I’m a loyal guy, I’m a loyal guy you know, Oscar all the way.”

Behind the scenes, Kaleb also posted a photo of himself with Oscar before the race, showing his VIP lanyard, with the caption ‘Team Oscar Piastri’, suggesting Kaleb had been invited down to Silverstone as a guest of the Australian driver.

Kaleb’s fans were excited to see his star turn on the grid but some were a touch surprised he wasn’t backing British like Jeremy is in his pub, The Farmer’s Dog.

Inside David Beckham and Victoria’s 26-year marriage – from family feud to aff@ir rumours

David and Victoria Beckham are celebrating 26 years of marriage today, but it has been a turbulent ride for the national treasures, who first met in 1997.

The couple, forever known to many as Posh and Becks, have continued to defy their critics and build one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness. However, it has not always been smooth sailing for Victoria and David Beckham, who are parents to Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13.

Victoria told her social media followers in recent years: “They say he isn’t funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn’t last… Today we celebrate 23 years of being married. David, you are my everything, I love you so much!” With the couple marking their 26th wedding anniversary today, Express.co.uk has examined their relationship, their alleged ‘feud’ with Brooklyn, and affir rumours.

In 1996, Victoria, better known as Posh Spice, was the more famous of the two following the success of the Spice Girls. That year, David was a Manchester United player and the pair were introduced – at his request – after his team’s charity football match. “That’s the girl for me and I’m going to get her,” David told a friend when seeing Victoria perform on stage, reports The Sun. He told the publication: “She’s my idea of perfection. I knew that if she wanted me, we would be together forever.”

Victoria told Vogue in 2016: “Love at first sight does exist. It will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge — although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy.”

Just over a year after meeting, in January 1998, the couple announced their engagement. Victoria said at the time: “We’d already looked at a few rings, but I didn’t know which one he had chosen. I’d told him what my dream ring would be. He remembered and had it specially made for me.”

For the proposal, Victoria was given 30 roses before being escorted to their hotel room, which was flooded with £200 worth of red and yellow lilies. They slipped into dressing gowns, ordered champagne, and David popped the question.

It wasn’t long before they had their first child, Brooklyn, who was born in March 1999 at London’s Portland Hospital. By that July, the lovers famously tied the knot in an extravagant ceremony which reportedly cost £800,000.

The power couple hired Bentley’s Entertainments, organisers of Elton John’s birthday and Princess Anne’s 40th, to plan the highly publicised event.

David wore a £230,000 Bentley Azure wearing a cream suit designed by Timothy Everett, while Victoria donned a Vera Wang dress as she rode in style in a Bentley Arnage. In October, they purchased Beckingham Palace – a 12-acre estate in Hertfordshire worth £7.5 million.

Moving forward to 2002, Victoria gave birth to their second son, Romeo, via c-section. However, just a couple of years later, an affir scandal made national headlines.

David and his family moved to Spain in 2003 when he transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid, leading to a shock revelation for the duo the following year when Rebecca Loos alleged to have had an affir with David while she was his personal assistant.

She claimed she had a four-month romance with the star, but he has always vehemently denied the allegations. Victoria and David defiantly stuck together, while Rebecca lost her job and sold her story to the News Of The World.

Moving forward with their relationship in the wake of the scandal, Victoria gave birth to Cruz in 2005. David told reporters at the time: “We’ve got a baby boy. His name is Cruz. He is beautiful. He is in there with his brothers now, and he is very happy.”

And then in 2011, the couple finally had a daughter, named Harper. David shared on social media: “I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA.”

In 2018, the Beckhams had to deny speculation they were heading for a divorce, telling Vogue that split rumours that year had plagued them. Victoria told the magazine: “People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years, so David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal.”

By 2023, the pair dropped their Netflix documentary, Beckham, in which they addressed the Loos allegations. David told the cameras he “felt physically sick every day” as he and Victoria faced a battle to save their marriage.

Most recently, the Beckhams have been hitting the headlines due to their reported fallout with eldest son Brooklyn, who is married to Nicola Peltz, 30.

Since their £3million Florida wedding, Brooklyn has snubbed all four parties thrown for David to celebrate his 50th birthday. Two weeks after the celebrations, Brooklyn and Nicola jetted to London for the Moncler shoot but failed to meet up with his family.

However, it appears David offered an olive branch this morning as he paid tribute to Victoria and his children in a touching Instagram post. He wrote: “26 years today, you said YES to me. Happy Anniversary, and thank you for giving me our beautiful children and building the life that we have together. I love you, Lady Beckham. @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”

Former GMTV star Fiona Phillips has opened up about the collapse of her marriage with former This Morning producer Martin Frizell as she recounted the moment he declared his intention to leave their family home. The former ITV anchor shared insights about her ignorance of the early stages of dementia—a fate that had previously befallen both her parents.

As the couple drifted towards their discreet split, Fiona, 64, admitted to being oblivious to her emerging symptoms, attributing them to menopause instead of considering something more dire. Their union crumbled further as Martin sensed an increasing disconnect between Fiona, him and their kids, as they were regularly arguig, reports the Mirror. Fiona confessed her deepest concerns: “Was I worried that there might be something sinister lurking beneath the surface? That Alzheimer’s could one day be coming for me too?”

Furthermore, she expressed her internal battle with denial: “On one level I did think I would get the disease, but there was also another part of me that was in a strange sort of denial about it all. This illness has devastated so much of my life already, surely it’s not going to come for me too?’ I’d tell friends.”

Fiona disclosed that she’s convinced the disease was “at least partly responsible” for her marital woes, although neither she nor Martin realised it at the time. She felt herself becoming increasingly disconnected from her family, with Martin accusing her of mentally checking out of their relationship.

She confessed: “But, if I’m honest, I think he was right. I just didn’t seem to have the energy for any of it any more. I didn’t realise quite how seriously Martin felt about it all until one evening he announced he was moving out.”

Despite this, Fiona initially couldn’t accept that their marriage was irrevocably finished; instead, she thought Martin was “trying to shock me into behaving differently”.

After spending three weeks apart, the couple began texting and eventually agreed to meet at a hotel in Hampshire in a last-ditch attempt to salvage their relationship.

They managed to patch things up, yet Fiona was still plagued by the same troubling symptoms. It wasn’t until 2023, when she turned 62, that Fiona learned she was suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Susanna Reid sparks outrage on BBC Laura Kuenssberg with bizarre Starmer remark

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid sparked backlash with her Starmer remark on Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg.

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid sparked backlash as she appeared on BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg. The ITV star shared her thoughts on UK politics after a disastrous week for Labour, following Rachel Reeves’ tears in the House of Commons, which left Keir Starmer embarrassed.

When asked her thoughts on Labour while she sat on the panel, Susanna said: “Well I was struck when I heard someone say, ‘I quite like Nigel Farage because I saw him on I’m A Celebrity’, and I thought perhaps Sir Keir Starmer needs to go on I’m A Celeb in order for voters to know who he is, as the words that seem to be coming out of everyone’s mouth is ‘I don’t know’. Laura replied: “Well that has kind of been an issue all along hasn’t it, he was even struggling with that when he was leader of the opposition, I remember seeing a lot pieces saying ‘who is he and what does he stand for?’

A fourth said: “What? Apparently it would be good for Starmer to go on I’m a Celeb or Strictly?! I can guarantee this wouldn’t improve his profile… only resigning would help!” A fifth asked: “Isn’t he a bit busy running the country?”

Good Morning Britain panellist Narinder Kaur was the subject of a “car-crsh interview” after being “destr0yed” on air by political commentator Carl Benjamin. The ITV GMB star got caught up in a rac3 row about pr1s0n populations while debating live on TV, insisting that BL and brown people are “not overrepresented” in pr1s0n populations despite evidence to the contrary.

Narinder insisted on the programme: “No ethnicity in this country commits more crime than the other. They don’t. There’s no evidence to prove that brown people commit more crimes.” Carl fired back: “What evidence would you look for? What would be evidence that there’s a difference in criminality between ethnicities?”

Clearly confused, Narinder replied: “Because- sorry, explain that, what do you mean? Statistics?” only for Carl to clarify: “Yeah, if you were looking for statistics to suggest that one ethnic group was more prone to commit criminal acts than another, what kind of statistics would you look for?”

Narinder responded: “Well, the government official statistics.” She was then pressed: “Yeah but what kind of statistics? What would it show? Pr1s0n population, maybe?

    Narinder debate

She clashed with Carl Benjamin (Image: X)

“Then it’s definitely that some ethnicities commit more crimes than others. Muslims and BLs are massively overrepresented in pr1s0ns,” Carl said. Statistics were then shown on-screen, showing that the general UK population is comprised of 81.7% white people, while 71.8% of pr1s0ners are white.

In compar1s0n, BL people make up 4% of the general population and 12.1% of pr1s0n populations, while people of mixed rac3 are 2.9% represented in the general population and 4.8% in pr1s0ns.

But Narinder fumed: “That’s not true, Carl! None of this is true. You are just making up things!” Carl asked her: “I’m not making up things, why would I make it up?”

She fired back: “You’re saying our pr1s0ns are actually majority BL and brown people? No!” He then tried to explain that white people “still have the majority” but BL people are still overrepresented compared to their numbers in the wider population. He tried: “Out of a population of 3% BL, if a pr1s0n population is 30% BL it should be 3% BL to be accurately represented. Right?

“Muslims as well are also massively overrepresented- White people are underrepresented in the pr1s0ns. It is the case. Why wouldn’t it be the case?”

Narinder insisted: “We are a majority white country. No. There’s no proof to target that BL or brown people commit more crimes, there’s no evidence to that.” Carl said: “There’s absolutely proof.”

Fans were quick to brand the conversation a “car-crsh”, with one tweeting: “Surprised I hadn’t seen this until just now. A masterclass in the Socratic method from [Benjamin].”

Another echoed: “OMG only just seen this but you all have to watch Narinder Kaur get completely destr0yed and taken down by the brilliant [Carl Benjamin]. If you want to watch a masterclass in how to destroy someone in an argument WATCH THIS!”

It is worth pointing out, however, that further statistics have shown BL people are 16 times more likely to be prosecuted under joint enterprise than white people, while BL remand pr1s0ners are held 70% longer than their white counterparts. The disproportionality in sentencing has been a debate for decades and is still raging on.

“Don’t joke with me” – Chaos on The Chase set after Bonnie Langford’s outburst – Sparked by Bradley Walsh’s sh0cking remark!

The Chase star issues furious warning after Bradley Walsh makes cruel move

Bradley Walsh received a stern warning as he was joined by four stars in the celebrity edition of The Chase.

Bonnie Langford snapped at Bradley Walsh after he convinced her she had answered a question wrong on The Chase. Bradley hosted a celebrity edition of the programme on Sunday evening, which originally aired in 2023. Bonnie, 60, was joined by radio DJ Melvin Odoom, motorsport champion Carl Fogarty and British gymnast Louis Smith. The pressure was on when Bonnie’s turn to face the chaser arrived, as Carl and Louis had both been knocked out by Anne Hegerty.

The tense head-to-head went down to the wire, with the former EastEnders actress needing just one more correct answer to join Melvin, 44, in the final chase. Anne and Bonnie were asked: “Which ocean is connected to the North Sea by the Strait of Dover and the English Channel?” Filled with confidence, both Anne and Bonnie answered the question immediately. “You’re joking me,” exclaimed Bradley. “This is it.”

Clenching her fists, Bonnie revealed she had chosen the Atlantic as her answer in favour of Indian and Arctic.

“Oh no,” sighed Bradley as he placed his head in his hands, indicating that Bonnie had answered the question wrong.

“What?” the Dancing on Ice champion yelled before warning: “Don’t do that to me Brad!”

However, it turned out the presenter was only teasing Bonnie as she went through with £8,000, taking the team’s total to £16,000.

But even Melvin was riled up from the sidelines as he begged: “Don’t do that!”

Joining in on the fun, Anne quipped: “He totally had you there.”

Unable to stop giggling, Bradley observed: “I had Melvin going too there, fantastic!”

While the duo were delighted after making it through to the final chase, their performance wasn’t quite up to scratch as they ended on a score of 12. Unfortunately, Bonnie and Melvin bid farewell to the £16,000 after The Governess caught them with 58 seconds remaining.

Following the defeat, Anne pointed out that the duo needed the help of Carl and Louis. Although they didn’t win, both walked away with £1,000 for their chosen charity. Melvin chose Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice while Bonnie opted for Macmillan Cnc3r Support.

Speaking to The Sun at last week’s TRIC Awards, she said: “I was in the gym yesterday and I do lots of weights. I know loads of women in their mid-forties who are always talking about weights massively.

“I was always into cardio, but since I ran the London Marathon, I’ve got more into weights.”

Laura, who shares son Rocco, 11, and daughter Tahlia, 10, with her ex-husband Alex Goward, often squeezes in workouts before the school run.

She said: “I sometimes get up at 5am to do so. My friends and I joke that we’re in the 5am club. I don’t do it every day, but most mornings.”

As she’s moved into her forties, Laura says she’s become more conscious about skincare and wellness – taking collagen and learning routines from her 10-year-old daughter.

The TV personality said: “She’s so into skincare – I take tips off her, because I was never like that as a teenager.”

Channel 4 star Laura also confirmed she has had cosmetic tweakments, admitting: “Oh absolutely. I’ve had B0t0x before, and there’s lots of people who do it, so whatever suits you. If you want to do something, then do it for you.”

And despite the pressures of being on screen, Laura believes looking good should be a personal choice.

She gushed: “I love watching things on Instagram where you’ll see someone who has had work done, and someone who hasn’t. Whether you’re on television or not, it’s completely up to you.”

Back in 2022, Laura opened up about being hailed a “pin-up” and how she often received X-rat3d m3ssages.

“I get some nice complimentary messages from people,” she explained to The Daily Star during a Facebook Live.

She then revealed that she was sent a rather X-rated snap.

Laura explained at the time how she was sent a photo of one of her followers in a face mask, adding: “But let’s just say it wasn’t of their face.”

Speaking of being a pin-up, Laura gushed over how it’s “really nice” to be dubbed as a “national beauty”.

A number of BBC shows have been affected by a change to TV schedules this month. The broadcaster is once again providing viewers with coverage of Wimbledon, alongside airing several of this year’s Women’s Euro football matches, too.

The tennis tournament started on Monday and is set to conclude next Sunday (July 13), with it continuing to affect the schedule until then. Meanwhile, the football championship instead kicked off yesterday and that will continue until July 27.

Wimbledon coverage is alternating between BBC One and BBC Two this year. The Women’s Euro is instead being split between the BBC and ITV, though the final later this month will be available to fans through both broadcasters.

Last week it was announced that the One Show, which airs at 7pm on weeknights, has been dropped from the BBC’s schedule for four weeks amid coverage of the two sporting championships. The show is set to return from July 28.

It isn’t the only show affected though. EastEnders episodes aired as double-bills on BBC Two on Monday and Tuesday this week amid Wimbledon’s return. There now won’t be any new episodes of the soap until next Wednesday (July 9).

There is set to be further changes to EastEnders’ schedule later in the month though as a result of the Women’s Euros. Two episodes will air on July 15 ahead of its slot the following evening being taken up by a match. There will be no episode on July 17 either, though one will air on July 18 instead.

Wimbledon has also taken over BBC One’s afternoon slots. It means that Escape to the Country, Pointless, Bridge Of Lies and Garden Rescue aren’t airing at the moment, with all four shows set to return to the channel on July 14.

BBC Two’s the Edge, Unbeatable, Richard Osman’s House Of Games and Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes are also missing from the schedule until that date. Similarly, Flog It won’t air on the channel on a weekday until July 14 either.

Several other shows are also missing from the schedule. Absences at the moment include Lightning, M::rder, Mystery and My Family, Weatherman Walking and Hidden Treasures of the National Trust, which typically have afternoon slots.

The One Show is understood to be the most affected by the schedule changes. Host Alex Jones announced that the show would be taking a month-long break at the end of the last episode, which was broadcast on Friday.

She told viewers: “We are taking a bit of a break for the next four weeks and we’ll be back on Monday the 28th of July. But there’s plenty to enjoy like Wimbledon and the Euros.” A message in the credits reminded of its return date.

Wimbledon is airing today on BBC One from 2pm to 7pm. It will then continue after BBC News from 8pm until 10pm tonight. Whilst the Women’s Euro match between Belgium and Italy will air on BBC Two from 4.30pm, with some occasional Wimbledon coverage on that channel today too.
