‘It’s a real family affair too, because my fabulous sister Saundra is getting involved as well. Expect laughs, eye-rolls, and lots of commentary, classic Hammond style!’

It was previously reported producers were left impressed with the mother and son duo after they recently fronted a BBC Two holiday show, Florida Unpacked.

The trio will be among the new star pairings who will appear on Gogglebox to raise money for Stand Up For Cancer.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Producers were impressed by the dynamic between Aidan and his mum on their new travel show, so wanted a piece of it for Celebrity Gogglebox.

‘They’re always looking for new duos to appear on the programme to keep it constantly feeling fresh, and, of course, fronting the Great British Bake Off means she’s already part of the C4 family.’

It comes after Alison gave an insight into her health and fitness regime after dropping 11-stone.

The presenter decided to lose weight after the death of her mother Maria – who had raised concerns over Alison’s pre-diabetic diagnosis.

Alison, who weighed 28-stone at her heaviest, told Heat: ‘I’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing, she trains me when I can train.

    ‘If I’m working, I don’t train, I’ll go for a walk.

‘But when I’m at home, I’ll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.’

This Morning’s Alison Hammond was at the centre of an embarrassing blunder on Friday that went completely unnoticed by her co-host Dermot O’Leary.

The latest instalment of the ITV show saw the dynamic duo return to our screens to chat about the latest headlines and celebrity guests.

Alison, 50, and Dermot, 52, were in high spirits as they spoke to Jake Quickenden, 36, live from Cardiff ahead of the iconic Oasis reunion later today.

Alison told viewers: ‘Well listen, its the all inspired by the big reunion, we’re partying like it’s 1994 today with some Brit pop themed Friday juke box throughout the show.

‘What have you got for us, Dermot?’

Dermot replied: ‘Well it’s tough for me because I wanted to go with one song but I think someone is going to play that later on.

‘I’ve got with my second choice, but what a choice. A little bit of Blur…

‘Come on give me Song 2!’

Dermot and Alison then busted out some moves to the popular tune.

Alison then shared her choice, explaining: ‘I am going to go way, way, back. I think I am going to go with Supergrass, Alright.’

But some eagle-eyed fans were keen to point out that Alison picked a song in the wrong year.

One said on X: ‘Alright came out in 1995 not 1994 #thismorning.’

Supergrass released the song Alright back in 1995 and placed in at number two in the UK singles chart.

Moments before, This Morning fans confessed that they were going to switch offf their TV when Alison and Dermot‘s Oasis tribute backfired.

Friday’s instalment of the ITV programme opened with the presenter duo dancing around to the iconic Oasis song, Wonderwall.

Both wore black bucket hats and green coats, while Alison donned small, round sunglasses, mimicking Liam and Noel Gallagher.

As the music played, they both threw off their coats and hats and lip-synced to the song.

Dermot commented to Alison: ‘You’re the only person I’ve seen ever that looks good in a bucket hat.’

Alison added: ‘After 16 years apart, today the band will finally roll with it on stage once again kicking off their first stop on their comeback tour in Cardiff which is happening tonight!’

“The big day is tomorrow … we cannot wait to meet this little guy,” Zee replied. “I was telling Robin on the way in, I think it really hit me last night. I didn’t sleep much, I was like ‘Wait, I’m going to have another baby. It just hit me.”’

The hosts then take turns gifting Zee with books for her new bundle of joy. “I want to thank you because we all decided we were going to bring you baby books,” Stephanopoulos explained, giving Zee the book Sweet Pea. “So I had to go into Harper and Elliot’s room yesterday and good through all the books and great memories.”

Roberts chose the book she read at the White House Easter Egg Roll in 2016,  If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

Spencer and Strahan rounded out the book selections with their favorite childhood books, The Monster at the End of This Book and Winnie the Pooh, respectively.

The cohosts then surprised the chief meteorologist with a special guest — her 2-year-old son Adrian.

Did the Chiefs corner Mahomes? – Giving Hopkins to the Ravens turns Super Bowl dream into a nightmare!

After a brief stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, the veteran wide receiver will aim to provide Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens with what could be the “missing piece” to finally lead them to the promised land. Things change suddenly from one year to the next, and after sharing the field with Patrick Mahomes, he turns his back on him and becomes one of his main rivals in the AFC.

NFL star DeAndre Hopkins in no rush to sign with new team as training camp looms: report | Fox News

This marks the 13th season for the veteran in the NFL, and while he may not be at his peak, we believe he still has enough gas in the tank to help a franchise that is one of the most dominant in the league.

Is DeAndre Hopkins the missing piece for the Ravens?

When he arrived in Baltimore during this offseasonHopkins was asked about his outside perspective on the Ravens, and his response was surprising.

“It seems like there’s been a piece that’s been missing,” Hopkins said, per ESPN‘s Jamison Hensley. “I could be that addition. I could not be that addition.”

At 33 years old, we all know DeAndre Hopkins has been the No. 1 receiver on every team he’s played for, but it seems that will change for the upcoming season, as Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman have secured the top two spots.

Under this scenario, Hopkins will serve as a third option, capable of battling for contested catches, one of his strengths throughout his long career.

On the other hand, building a bond of trust with the team’s star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, will take time.

“I don’t think it’s a [set] time frame,” Hopkins said. “A guy like Lamar, who’s a veteran quarterback, he’s played a lot of football. Myself, I play a lot of football. We see things differently, but I’ve had rookie quarterbacks that have taken longer. So, it differs.”

Upon arriving in BaltimoreDeAndre Hopkins became a direct threat to the Kansas City Chiefs, his last team, which he helped reach their third consecutive Super Bowl, though it ended in the worst way with a painful loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Hopkins is coming off a season where he played 10 games with Kansas City, recording 437 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Charlie Di3d of Canc3r – A Pain that NEVER Fades for the Family of Fox News host Steve Doocy!

Charlie Di3d of Canc3r – A Pain that NEVER Fades for the Family of Fox News host Steve Doocy!

Steve Doocy looks ahead with serious expression

Steve Doocy left a tiny, 5,000-population Iowa town to become a popular anchor on America’s most-watched cable network, and he endured a great deal of heartbreak upon finding success. Even as the “Fox & Friends” co-host neared his 70s, he showed no signs of slowing down. With a less enraged take on politics, Doocy has become the representative of the everyday conservative American who turns on Fox News in spite of its growing embrace of radical views. “He’s not there as part of the ideological project. He’s there as an affable morning TV host,” Fairleigh Dickinson University professor Daniel Cassino told The Washington Post in 2024.

Steve Doocy holds his golden retriever Charlie

Part of Doocy’s appeal stems from his fatherly demeanor. That’s not a mask he puts on before taking his seat next to Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and Lawrence Jones every morning. He is a family man through and through. But while Doocy has enjoyed a long and fruitful career, he has experienced a series of family tragedies that have shaped him — and even altered his life journey.

It was because of a terrifying diagnosis received by the Fox News anchor’s wife that Doocy became a New York Times best-selling author of cookbooks — yes, cookbooks, not politics or anything related to journalism. Through his family losses, Doocy learned powerful lessons that inspired him to dedicate even more time to his loved ones. Doocy has experienced a lot of highs, but he didn’t escape the lows. From losing both parents unexpectedly to standing by his wife’s side during a potentially fatal illness, Doocy knows about gri3f.

Steve Doocy lost his mother on a Christmas morning

Steve Doocy isn’t a fan of the holiday season. It’s not the Christmas songs playing at every store or the ugly sweaters people parade around in all month that get him in a bad mood. For him, it’s personal. On Christmas morning in 1997, he received a call no one wants to get, ever, but especially not during the most magical time of the year. “My sister called, ‘Mom’s d3ad …’” he wrote in “The Happy Cookbook Series” (via Fox News). How could that be? He had just talked to his mother, JoAnn, eight hours earlier.

Doocy always talked to his mother on Christmas Eve to have her walk him through her gravy recipe. By then, he was pretty good at whipping up JoAnn’s famous gravy, but he had made a decades-old tradition out of it since he started calling her in college. “I was just using it as an excuse to call and show her that even though I was forty years old, a son always needs his mother,” he wrote. Since then, Doocy has been asking God for signs that his mother is watching over him.

His prayers have been answered a few times. The first happened at the funeral, where he was the lector. He noticed a bouquet of daisies on the altar, the flowers JoAnn had chosen for her wedding. Next to it was a packet of McCormick gravy mix. “I got goosebumps,” he shared.

The d3ath of Steve Doocy’s mother left a big hole in the family. To try and heal, Doocy drew closer to his father, Jim Doocy, making sure to call him at least once a day. “It just felt good to touch base, because we both knew that someday one of us would not be around to pick up the phone,” he wrote in “The Simply Happy Cookbook” (via Fox News). Jim and JoAnn Doocy had plane tickets to Hawaii when she di3d, and Steve had wanted to take his dad on a trip ever since.

Jim decided he would like to visit Ireland and trace his family roots. But he wanted his brother, Phil, to come along — and Steve would have to foot the bill. So off they went. They couldn’t trace anyone because family records were destroyed in the 1922 fire during the Civil War. They didn’t find what they were looking for in Ireland, but they found something better. “It was the best week I ever had with my father,” he wrote (via Fox News).

They maintained their bond, with Steve honoring Jim when he was named Distinguished Kansan of the Year in early 2014. That was the last time he saw his father. Two days later, his sister called to tell him Jim had suffered a burst abdominal aortic aneurysm. “He hadn’t even been sick,” Steve wrote. Jim di3d on February 8, 2014.

Steve Doocy lost his beloved dog to cnc3r

    @stevedoocy/Instagram

Steve Doocy and his family suffered another big loss after their beloved golden retriever, Charlie, was diagnosed with cnc3r. Even though Doocy’s children were all adults, they went home to be with Charlie during his final moments. “The kids came home from college and jobs to be at his side when the vet put him to sleep,” he wrote in “The Happy Cookbook Series.” That was the first real loss Mary, Sally, and Peter Doocy had experienced. “When my mom di3d, they were very little kids,” he penned.

The loss of the dog hit them differently. “When Charlie di3d, they were young adults and had spent most of their lives with him. He wasn’t a dog to them; he was their brother,” Steve continued. He also felt the gri3f deep in his heart. When he set out to write the first cookbook in his series, he knew Charlie would feature prominently in it. “That looks like our dog Charlie, who you will see several times in the cookbook!” he told an X, previously known as Twitter, user who shared a photo of herself reading the book next to her dog.

While it doesn’t appear that Steve and his wife, Kathy Doocy, have adopted another pooch, their love for them never faded. “The Doocys are dog people,” he captioned a 2015 Instagram post featuring him holding Charlie (seen above) in which he promoted the work of the North Shore Animal League America.

Steve Doocy’s wife suffered from a rare cnc3r

    @stevedoocy/Instagram

Steve Doocy and Kathy Doocy were getting ready to treat themselves to a beach vacation in Florida when their world came crashing down. Amid their preparations, they went to get the prescriptions for their sunglasses checked, but the routine visit had a different outcome. Instead, the doctor saw a freckle in one of Kathy’s eyes and advised her to return in a few months. The doctor was a lot more worried this time around and called in a specialist. It wasn’t looking good.

The specialist urged Kathy to go to Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. “‘Sure,’ Kathy said and asked, ‘When?’ He said, ‘Right now,’” Steve wrote in “The Simply Happy Cookbook” (via Fox News). Kathy was diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a rare and aggressive type of eye cnc3r. Kathy received radiation treatment amid worries the cnc3r would spread to her lungs and liver. It was during that difficult time that Kathy and Steve decided to write a cookbook.

Fearing she might not have long to live, Kathy wanted her children to have access to their favorite meals. “The only thing I could really think of that I needed to do was to get my recipes together so that the kids would always have their happy memories,” she said in a 2018 clip featured on “Fox & Friends.” Luckily, she would continue to make her kids’ favorite dishes for years to come, as she was declared cnc3r-free after two years of treatment.

THE CHANNEL SEEN AS AMERICA’S NO.1 – Where does Fox News’ “Magic” come from?

THE CHANNEL SEEN AS AMERICA’S NO.1 – Where does Fox News’ “Magic” come from?

Your Worst Fears About Fox News Are Confirmed By New Study

Fox News Channel has been recognized since its inception in 1996, when it was established by Republican operative Roger Ailes, as a right-leaning news source. But a new study published in the American Economic Review shows just how influential the channel is when it comes to changing viewers’ minds, causing them to shift to the right on political issues–and even influencing election outcomes in ways that the outlet’s more liberal counterparts don’t.

Researchers at Emory and Stanford universities found that watching only three minutes of Fox News coverage per week would make Democratic and centrist voters one percent more likely to vote Republican in the 2008 election.

Quality journalism. Progressive values. Direct to your inbox.

According to the study, this means that if Fox News hadn’t existed in 2004, George W. Bush would have captured nearly four fewer percentage points, making John Kerry the popular vote winner. In 2008, Barack Obama would have won in a landslide if it weren’t for Fox, capturing 60 percent of the vote, with John McCain winning 6.34 percent fewer votes.

Notably, the research shows that Fox appears driven by its ability to shift its viewership to the right even more than it’s guided by its bottom line. According toVox, the study finds “that Fox isn’t setting its ideology where it ought to, to maximize its viewership. It’s much more conservative than is optimal from that perspective. But it’s pretty close to the slant that would maximize its persuasive power–that would result in the largest rightward movement among viewers. CNN, by contrast, matched its political stances pretty closely to the viewer-maximizing point, showing less interest in operating as a political agent.”

Fox News crushes MSNBC, CNN viewership in May, 'The Five' finishes as most-watched show | Fox News

CNN and MSNBC are also not as effective at shaping viewers’ opinions. “Fox is substantially better at influencing Democrats than MSNBC is at influencing Republicans,” said the authors of the study. While Fox was able to convince 58 percent of Democratic viewers to vote for Bush in 2000, and persuaded sizable minorities of Democrats to vote Republican in the following two elections, MSNBC did not have the same effect on conservative viewers in the same elections.

Fox News Channel “is consistently more effective at converting viewers than is MSNBC which has corresponding estimated persuasion rates of just 16 percent, 0 percent, and 8 percent,” said the study.

The study confirms earlier research done after Fox was introduced in 1996, including a 2007 report from Berkeley which found “a significant effect of the introduction of Fox News on the vote share in Presidential elections between 1996 and 2000…Fox News convinced 3 to 28 percent of its viewers to vote Republican.”

The newest research confirms what many critics already suspected about Fox News: that it’s pushed conservative ideals and Republican agendas since its beginning, serving as a tool used by the GOP establishment to shift viewers to the right–and even swing elections.

The study did not analyze Fox‘s impact on the 2016 election, but according to a Pew Research poll taken in January, Fox News was the most-watched news source among Trump voters during the campaign, with 40 percent of his supporters relying on the channel for their news.

“I Should have Left that Place Sooner” – Former Fox News anchor Shepard Smith still can’t get over his EXIT? Are his words true or just to soothe his own regret?

CNBC pulls the plug on 'The News With Shepard Smith' - Los Angeles Times

Since leaving Fox News in late 2019, and joining CNBC several months later, Shepard Smith has been incredibly diplomatic when it came to discussing the conservative news network that served as his home for nearly a quarter of a century. But his reluctance to speak out against Fox just ran into a formidable obstacle: Christiane Amanpour.

During an interview set to air Tuesday night on PBS, Smith delivered his harshest criticism yet of his former employer under relentless questioning from the host.

Shep Smith breaks his silence about why he left Fox News | CNN Business

Smith, who anchored one of the few truly “straight news” programs on Fox’s schedule, explained that he stayed with the network so long because he felt a sense of responsibility to counter the “mis- or disinformation” that viewers were getting at most other hours of the day.

Knowing that if he left he would likely be replaced with yet another opinion host, Smith said he felt it would be “selfish” for him to “abandon” his viewers and “stuck with it” for as long as he could. “And at some point, I realized I’ve reached a point of diminishing returns and I left,” he said.

His departure followed months of public clashes with colleagues like Sean Hannity, who called him “so anti-Trmp” on his radio show and “clueless” on Twitter and Tucker Carlson, who openly mocked Smith on his primetime show for defending their mutual colleague Judge Andrew Napolitano.

When Smith said he was “proud” of the journalistic work he was able to put out at Fox, Amanpour pushed back by pointing to the news that his former 7 p.m. time slot is about to become yet another opinion-focused show, just as he had feared. “You can be proud of you did,” she said, but now that he’s at CNBC she wanted to know if he accepts the notion that Fox News “perpetuated so many of the d1v1sions, the l13s, the conspiracies,” becoming essentially “the pr0p@g@nda arm of the Republican Party.”

“I feel the same way about that now that I did then,” Smith replied, admitting that his goal was to “keep the blinders on” and try to deliver real news to his viewers. He said people can “opine” as much as they want to, “but if you’re going to opine, begin with the truth and opine from there.”

“And it’s the deviation from that that’s caused me the greatest concern,” he continued. “And I believe that when people begin with a false premise and lead people astray, that’s injur10us to s0ciety. And it’s the antithesis of what we should be doing. Those of us who are so honored and grateful to have a platform of influence have to use it for the public good.”

Then, without naming any specific names, Smith added, “I slept very well. I don’t know how some people sleep at night. Because I know there are a lot of people who propagated the l13s and have pushed them forward over and over again, who are smart enough and educated enough to know better.”

Smith concluded by saying that he hopes “at some point, those who have done us harm as a nation and, I might even add as a world, will look around and realize what they’re done.”

Good Morning America star Ginger Zee has shared an adorable picture of her son at an arcade while also acknowledging that the arcade is a hotbed for single use trash plastic.

“This is a moment in parenting I struggle with. Personally I’m always avoiding single use, trash plastic… but seeing my child experience the joy of choosing a trinket after playing at an arcade is nostalgic and I have to bite my tongue so I don’t make him too deprived of ‘the normal stuff,’” Ginger shared alongside the snap of her son looking for his prize.

Ginger is known for being environmentally-cautious, and went on to remind followers that better prizes would include less plastic, writing: “Wouldn’t it be just as fun if we included useful items like crayons, mini pads or paper for notes, or even crafting items? A gal can dream.”

The mom-of-two also thanked the arcade staff for their “incredible patience” as her son spent time picking out his “trinket”.

But it was her husband Ben Aaron who had the last laugh, as he quipped in the comments: “Was it the plastic or the fact that 50 bucks got us 3 pencil erasers?,” referencing the amount of money they spent for so few prizes.

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant is mom to two sons, Miles, six, and Adrian, eight, and she told HELLO! in 2022 she had been raising her sons to make sensible decisions that will help to save the planet, including teaching them about composting and renewable energy.

“We talk about it every single day – my kids can’t take a bite of something without me talking about where it came from. The big thing is also single-use water bottles, and it needs to be rethought and the best time to teach that is when they are five,” she said.

She continued: “We make lots of choices like that—what containers our toothpaste is in, and making sure our hand soap is dissolvable. I would always encourage people to eliminate single use plastic, and use companies thinking about their packaging. I am a very annoying person when I go to the grocery store, to be honest.

Right now we are working on rewilding our yard because green grass became the American ideal for so long but it is incredibly wasteful and needs fertilizers and chemicals and water, and all of that is so unnecessary. Making the native lawn fashionable is one of my goals.

Following the Chiefs’ heartbreaking loss in Super Bowl LIX, Patrick Mahomes wasted no time stepping up. “I let y’all down today,” he shared online, vowing to improve and return stronger.

Mahomes, who led Kansas City to three Super Bowl wins and was once the youngest to do so, isn’t resting on his legacy. The dream of a historic three-peat may have ended, but the fire is far from out-and a new wave of criticism and competition means there’s no room for comfort.

Chiefs announce unexpected retirement amid Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce uphill preseason grind

Despite an impressive 15-2 regular season record, some analysts have begun questioning whether the Chiefs’ golden run might be fading. Emmanuel Acho, speaking on FS1’s The Facility, suggested Kansas City may be on the verge of another title drought-similar to the one they experienced before their recent Super Bowl streak.

He openly asked if it’s become “sacrilegious” to question Mahomes and Andy Reid. His concerns were rooted in the growing strength of other contenders, especially the Eagles, Ravens, Bills, and Chargers, all of whom now boast deeper rosters.

    A new threat in Baltimore?

While the Chiefs fight to maintain dominance, former teammate DeAndre Hopkins is now positioning himself as the game-changer for one of their strongest AFC rivals-the Baltimore Ravens.

Hopkins, a 13-year veteran wide receiver, signed with the Ravens this offseason and made headlines with a strong statement: “It seems like there’s been a piece that’s been missing. I could be that addition.”

Hopkins isn’t joining the team as the top option-Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are already leading-but his experience and proven talent could elevate Baltimore’s offense. He’s also begun building chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson, who personally advocated for Hopkins’ signing.

Though Hopkins acknowledged that it may take time to sync with Jackson, he emphasized that both bring veteran experience to the table. That could make their transition smoother and more dangerous for Kansas City.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are managing their own roster challenges. Concerns over losing key players to free agency threatened their offensive stability, but they were able to retain vital guard Trey Smith-a major win in protecting Mahomes.

Travis Kelce, too, seems rejuvenated after briefly considering retirement, showing up leaner and more focused than ever.

Still, the path back to the top will be harder than before. The rest of the AFC has improved, and bold claims like Hopkins’ only underscore how much competition has grown. Mahomes remains one of the game’s best-but to prove Acho wrong, the Chiefs will need more than talent. They’ll need grit, depth, and flawless execution.
