Both Charley and Nicky Maxwell, who was also present, were stunned at her use of the word however Emily swiftly insisted it ‘was a joke’. She was later called to the diary room and told of her ejection by Big Brother.

At the time of Emily’s removal, Head of the Big Brother commissioning team at Channel 4, Angela Jain, said after the incident: ‘In the wake of Celebrity Big Brother, we must consider the potential offence to viewers regardless of Emily’s intentions and her housemates’ response.

‘The word is clearly racially offensive and there was no justification for its use.

‘We have removed Emily from the house to once again make it clear to all housemates and the viewers at home that such behaviour won’t be tolerated.’

Years later, Emily told OK! Magazine that it was a period in her life which she ‘tries not to revisit’.

‘It’s a period in my life that I try not to revisit too much if I can. The media noise and intrusion was bad but what was worse and lasted for a while was the d33p sh@m3 I felt about what I had said,’ she said.

‘The only way I’ve found I could move forward from my mistake was to educate myself and develop a much better understanding of what these rc1al sl::rs mean and why they are so awful.

‘As well as having a better understanding of racism and how it manifests in our society today.’

Just one year in, Keir Starmer’s “throne” is badly shaken by a welfare U-turn – What “Worst-Case” scenarios await him?

Keir Starmer is today facing a mounting crisis in the wake of his welfare humbling – just a year on from his landslide election win.

The PM’s authority has been left in tatters after his extraordinary surrender to avert defeat at the hands of Labour rebels.

Sir Keir effectively tore up his benefits reforms, which had been due to shave £5billion a year off spirallling costs by the end of the Parliament – but will now actually increase spending by £100million.

The move twists the knife on Chancellor Rachel Reeves, who was already struggling to fill a black hole in the public finances that could amount to tens of billions of pounds.

Touring broadcast studios this morning, Cabinet Office minister Pat McFadden warned there would be ‘financial consequences’ – hinting that the tax burden will need to rise again.

Ms Reeves has insisted Labour will stick to manifesto pledges of no hikes to income tax, employee National Insurance or VAT. But she refused to guarantee yesterday that the hated freeze in tax thresholds will not be extended.

Meanwhile, rebel ringleaders gloated that they had ‘power’ over the PM and stepped up demands for a lurch to the Left.

Rachael Maskell, whose fɑtl amendment sparked the benefits shambles, urged a £24billion ‘wealth tax’ to pay for more handouts.

Deputy PM Angela Rayner is said to have brokered the deal with rebels, fueling speculation that she is positioning to succeed Sir Keir. Opponents jibed it is obvious that Sir Keir will not now lead the party into the next election.

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine show, Ms Rayner insisted she did not want the top job, joking that it would ‘age me by 10 years’.

Told that Sir Keir looked ‘tired’ and ‘exhausted’, she said: ‘It’s a very challenging job. To be fair for Keir Starmer there’s been a lot going on…

‘There’s a lot going on and the PM’s been here there and everywhere doing the job for Britain.’

    Has Starmer lost control?

Amid carnage at Westminster yesterday, the PM’s carefully assembled truce with rebels dramatically disintegrated.

Facing the threat of a massive revolt, Sir Keir opted to make yet another major concession just 90 minutes before the vote.

Ministers pledged that changes to disability handouts will not be finalised until after a review – meaning that the package as it stands will actually make the current system more expensive than before up to 2029.

Sir Keir – who is days away from marking the first anniversary of his election landslide – had already agreed that the benefits curbs would only apply to new claimants.

There was mocking laughter in the chamber as Social Security Minister Stephen Timms was asked how much the proposals would save now, and merely replied that the government would ‘set out figures in the usual way’.

Despite the humiliating manoeuvres, when the vote was held 44 Labour MPs still backed the fɑtal amendment and others abstained – although it was comfortably defeated by 328 to 149 as Tories largely stayed away.

Shortly afterwards, the Bill cleared second reading stage by 335 to 260, with the rebellion growing to 49. It will now be scrutinised at committee, where there could be further problems.

The concessions twist the knife on Chancellor Rachel Reeves, who was already struggling to fill a black hole in the public finances that could amount to tens of billions of pounds

Mr McFadden told BBC Breakfast he is ‘not going to speculate’ on what could be in the Autumn Budget but there would be ‘financial consequences’.

‘This is one moving part of the budgetary picture, it does have a financial consequence yesterday,’ he said.

‘I’m not going to speculate on where the budget lands, because there are so many other different moving parts in it, and it wouldn’t make sense for me to do that.’

Asked explicitly whether he could rule out tax rises, Mr McFadden said: ‘I’m not going to speculate on the budget.

‘We will keep to the tax promises that we made in our manifesto when we fought the election last year. But it doesn’t make sense for me to speculate on something where, as I say, there are so many moving parts of which this is only one element.’

Ms Rayner said Ms Reeves would have to ‘look’ at the finances in the Autumn after the benefits overhaul.

‘That does have a cost to it… that will have to be set out in the Budget in the normal way. Rachel, our chancellor, will have to look at the challenges we face,’ she said.

Presenter Lorraine Kelly said to the Deputy PM of Sir Keir: ‘You’re working with him all the time – he looks absolutely exhausted. Some have said he might not be here after xmas, he doesn’t have the stomach for it or anything.’

Ms Rayner replied: ‘Even before I was in politics, I said that have you ever seen a prime minister after a year or two in government?

‘And people always say to me, do you want to be Prime Minister? Not a chance. It’ll age me by 10 years within six months.’

She added: ‘It is a very challenging job, and there’s been, to be fair for Keir Starmer, there’s been a lot going on.

‘He’s been all around the world trying to repair the relationships in Europe. We’ve got the trade deals that the previous government wasn’t able to do, tackling the things like the tariffs that the President in the US wanted to put onto the UK, which would have damaged our economy again.

‘There’s a lot going on, and the Prime Minister’s been […] here, there and everywhere, doing the job for Britain.’

Polling expert Professor Sir John Curtice has referred to Sir Keir’s first year in office as ‘the worst start for any newly elected prime minister’.

He told Times Radio that the PM was ‘never especially popular’ and that ‘the public still don’t know what he stands for.’

Pressed if she would be interested in taking over No10 at some point, Ms Rayner told the ITV programme: ‘No’.

She said that she is ‘passionate’ about issues including workers’ rights and council housing.

‘I’m very interested in delivering for the people of this country, because … to be elected as an MP from my background was incredible,’ she said.

‘Having that opportunity to serve my community that have raised me, looked after me, given me opportunities, and I don’t forget that. And to be Deputy Prime Minister of this country … it’s got to count for something.’

Ms Maskell told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that ‘we need to look at those with the broader shoulders’ to balance the books.

She said she was also ‘worried about public finances’.

‘And that’s why I think we heard very much in the debate, including from myself, that we need to look at those with the broader shoulders, as the Prime Minister said, contributing more into our system, but never pushing down on the poorest,’ she said.

‘And that was what the dynamic was yesterday, that we do need to look at things like a wealth tax, £24 billion, or equalisation of capital gains tax.’

NOTHING COULD BE MORE SH0CKING – After fans’ PLEAS on Good Morning Britain – Rumour has it Des Coleman is meeting the Bosses – Lead anchor? Why NOT? What will happen to Martin Lewis, Richard Madeley, Susanna Reid?

A forgotten Good Morning Britain presenter replaced the usual host and fans called for the anchor to be a ‘permanent fixture on the show’.

Wednesday’s instalment of the daily ITV programme saw co-hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls cover the top stories.

The weather forecast is typically covered by Laura Tobin, who has presented the segment since the show launched in 2014.

But Wednesday’s bulletin featured a different face – Des Coleman, who usually covers ITV Central in the Midlands.

The weather presenter reported that the scorching heatwave is now over and heavy showers are expected across the country.

Aside from covering the forecast, Des is an actor too and has appeared in a range of shows including EastEnders and Casualty.

Good Morning Britain viewers were overjoyed at the presenter shake-up and took to social media to share their thoughts.

‘It’s always a good day when @DESCOLEMAN is on – even if it is raining!!’ someone else added.

Another chimed in: ‘Yay our Des is back, missing him doing our local weather.’

While someone else described Des as a ‘breath of fresh air’.

One watcher even called for Des to be a ‘permanent fixture on the show’.

However, viewers weren’t happy last week when Martin Lewis replaced Richard Madeley.

Typically, the ITV news programme features Susanna and Richard as presenters, but on last Wednesday’s instalment, the consumer guru stepped up to host.

Susanna and Martin worked their way through the day’s top stories but some watchers weren’t best pleased about the shake-up.

“I CAN’T even Remember HOW MANY “ɑɓɾtιопs” I’ve had…” – Lily Allen’s sh0cking confession with the Reason “IT WAS SO ROMANTIC” leaves the audience Stunned!

Lily Allen admitted she ‘can’t remember’ how many ab:”0rt10ns she has had as she opened up about birth control in a chat with best friend Miquita Oliver.

Speaking on the pair’s podcast, Miss Me?, the singer, 40, described her reproductive system as a ‘complete disaster area’, confessing she would ‘get pr3gnant all the time’.

While on the topic of contraception, Lily mused: ‘I just remember I have an IUD [contraceptive coil] now.

‘I think I’m on my third maybe fourth and I just remember before that it was a complete disaster area. Yeah I’d get pr3gnant all the time all the time.’

As Miquita, 41, confessed she didn’t know if Lily had ever terminated a pr3gnancy, Lily began singing to the tune of Frank Sinatra’s My Way: ‘Ab0rt10ns I’ve had a few… but then again… I can’t remember exactly how many’.

Giggling, she continued: ‘I can’t remember. I think maybe like, I want to say four or five.’

Miquita responded: ‘I’ve had about five too! Lily I’ve never I’m so happy I can say that and you can say it and no one came to shoot us down, no judgment. We’ve had about the same amount of ab0rt10ns.’

Lily then recalled one of her experiences with an ex, musing: ‘I remember once getting pr3gnant and the man paying for my ab0rt10n, and me thinking it was so romantic!’

Miquita interjected: ‘I actually think that is romantic! Do you not think that’s romantic?’ to which Lily responded: ‘Am I an idiot? What? Getting rid of the problem?’

The former Popworld host then argued: ‘No but if you’re both like “let’s not do this. I don’t want it no neither do I, I don’t have any money well I can sort that out…”‘

Yet Lily insisted she wasn’t on board, continuing: ‘No I don’t think it’s generous or romantic. Think about that investment, like that’s how much is it 500 quid? K1ds are a lot more expensive.’

She then revealed that she didn’t hear from him again after terminating the pr3gnancy but reasoned: ‘I mean fair tbh. I was a f***ing crazy b**** – still am!’

Miquita then reflected on her first ab0rt10n, confessing: ‘I was very excited! I felt like I was like a woman.’

Revealing she bumped into several people from school at the local contraceptive clinic, she went on: ‘I think as a young woman starting your contraceptive journey I was quite excited. It meant that I was having sex.’

The TV presenter – who does not have any ch1ldren – later added that she used to feel ’embɑrrassed’ to say that she’d had more than one ab0rt10n.

‘I felt really embɑrrassed to even say that I had more than one ab0rt10n, why the f*** should I be ashamed? I have had a few,’ she shared.

Lily – who shares daughters, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, with her ex-husbɑnd Sam Cooper – went on to express her annoyance at having to justify terminating a pr3gnancy.

She explained: ‘It actually irritates me, and I’ve said it before on the record. I’ve seen memes going around sometimes, on Instagram from pro-ab0rt10n accounts or whatever, whenever this conversation comes up, and suddenly you start seeing people posting things about extraordinary reasons for having an ab0rt10n.

‘Like: “My aunt had a k1d that had this disability,” or whatever, “if she went full term it was going to KL her, so we have to.” It’s like, shut up!

‘Just: “I don’t want a f***ing bɑby right now.” Literally: “Don’t want a bɑby” is enough reason.’

American singer Olivia took to The Other Stage at Worthy Farm where she said she was ‘devastated and terrified’ by the ruling which ended the constitutional right to ab0rt10n in the US, meaning individual states could decide whether ab0rt10n can be made illegal.

She said: ‘I’m devastated and terrified [by the ruling] and so many women and girls are going to d13 because of this and I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who showed us at the end of the day they truly don’t give a s*** about freedom.’

After her words prompted huge applause from the audience, Olivia went on to address the Supreme Court justices individually, saying: ‘This song goes out to the justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh.’

Lily then gave the middle finger as she stood on stage, before saying: ‘We ht3 you guys!’ as the pair launched into the expletive-filled song.

After her performance, Lily took to Instagram to reveal she had an ab0rt10n in the past and called on women to stop feeling as though they needed to ‘justify’ their decisions to terminate a pr3gnancy.

She wrote: ‘I wish people would stop posting examples of exceptional reasons for having ab0rt10ns.

‘Most people I know, myself included, just didn’t want to have a f***ing bɑby and that is reason enough. We don’t have to justify it.

‘It shouldn’t have to be said, and I think all these examples just play into the hands of the bɑdd1es.’

In 2008, Lily suffered a m1scarr1age with then partner Ed Simmons from the Chemical Brothers.

Two years later Lily tried for a bɑby with then husbɑnd Sam but lost her bɑby at six months pr3gnant and was left fighting for her life due to bl00d p01s0ning.

Speaking about the ordeal she said: ‘I nearly d13d. But I was so numb and I didn’t care. I’d just lost my bɑby and that is how numb I was.’

Lily who was rushed to hospital with s3pt1cemia admitted: ‘It’s something that I still haven’t dealt with. I will never get over it. I have dealt with it, you know as being at one with it. But it’s not something you get over.

‘I held my ch1ld and it was really horrific and painful – one of the hardest things that can happen to a person.’

Following her operation Lily was able to physically recover and went on to have her two daughters.

Last month, British MPs voted in favour of measures to decriminalise women terminating their own pr3gnancies in the biggest change to the law on reproductive rights for half a century.

Women will no longer face prosecution for ab0rt1ng their own bɑby for any reason and at any stage up to birth under the proposed legislation, which was bɑcked by 379 votes to 137.

It will alter the 1861 Offences Against the Person Act – which outlawed ab0rt10n – meaning it would no longer apply to women ab0rt1ng their own bɑb13s.

MPs and pro-choice activists welcomed the ab0rt10n vote and said it will finally put an end to the prosecution of vulnerable women for ending their own pr3gnancies.

Under the amendment, women will no longer be prosecuted for an ab0rt10n when it relates to their own pr3gnancy, even if they abort their own bɑby without medical approval or after the current 24-week legal limit.

However it maintains criminal punishments for doctors who carry out ab0rt10ns beyond the legal limit and abusive partners who end a woman’s pr3gnancy without her consent.

‘I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as my boys did before them,’ she wrote.

The TV star lost her father in 2019 when he t00k h1s 0wn l1fe, after which she thought ‘I would never be happy again.’

But she explained ‘in truth I couldn’t have been more wrong, I’ve learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering, we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it.

‘I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me.’

She added that her newborn ‘has been lying on me all day, she latched on immediately and is as wonderful as I imagined she would be…..but like her sister…..I am blindsided that she is a girl.’

‘So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months.’

Emma kept her pregnancy secret for nine months, only revealing she was expecting again in a post revealing why she was taking a break from her true crime live shows.

Discussing her pregnancy in a Facebook post at the end of May, she wrote: ‘They say you’ll know when you’re done with having children! I always wanted 4 and in a few weeks that will no longer be a fantasy.

‘I have no idea if it’s a boy, or a girl, you don’t get too many surprises these days…..but I KNOW it’s my last pregnancy and my picture is completed.’

‘All my children have been the result of medical intervention, I know so many of you reading this will have had your fertility struggles or are going through them, I know the disappointment, the fear, the utter frustration of all those failed pregnancy tests, the squinting and holding them up to the light desperately trying to see a second line ……I’ve driven myself mad doing this! And I also know the financial burden of IVF and how out of reach it is for millions of women!

‘Infertility is such a lonely, expensive, and at times devastating process……so, as I crawl through these last five weeks living on antacids I just wanted to thank all of you for changing my life and making the impossible finally possible.’

Emma has been open about her feelings about being an older mother, admitting before the birth of her eldest daughter two years ago that she felt selfish having a  child at the age of 50 because it ‘stole years away’ from their relationship.

While Emma cherishes parenthood, she admitted at the time that giving birth later in life will inevitably compromise the time she has with Etta as she grows into adulthood.

She told New magazine: ‘I felt a great deal of selfishness all the way up until giving birth. There are moments when I think, ‘I wish I could have another 20 years with Etta.’

‘I could beat myself up about it, but my best friend died at 43, so you don’t always get the time that’s promised to you.’

Emma kept her pregnancy with her eldest daughter a secret after suffering years of fertility heartache, during which she turned to IVF – a fruitless experience she describes as ‘drawn out, protractive, difficult and expensive.’

‘I’ve had l0ts of m1scarr1ages,’ she said in 2023. ‘The only people who knew [of the pregnancy] were my family and two friends. I didn’t tell anyone because I thought if I said it, I wouldn’t get my baby home.’

As Whit has been filling in for David on World News Today, a new Nashville face has been replacing Whit on GMA.

Danielle Breezy, a meteorologist from Nashville, has been subbing for Whit as he’s been working the late nights – and fans think they’ve found a new favorite.

One fan slammed Whit and Tweeted: “Get rid of these people and also Whit Johnson.”

Another also posted: “Get Whit Johnson off of GMA. He is awful.”

Meanwhile, Danielle has received plenty of praise.

As she shared on her own Twitter handle her exciting appearance on GMA, a fan wrote in the comments: “Always watching you Danielle, wouldn’t miss it!”

A second said: “Happy to watch you on GMA all weekend!”

Yet a third posted: “Great forecast this morning!”

    SHOW SHAKEUP

Meanwhile, fans think Whit is quitting his GMA position as David has been missing from his usual post for the past six days.

Whit sat on David’s desk to deliver news Friday night.

He closed off the news segment by saying: “Thanks so much for watching tonight. I’m Whit Johnson in New York, and I’ll see you on GMA in the morning.”

Concerned fans took to social media to note David’s absence – but also to compliment Whit on his great run filling David’s seat.

One wrote: “Just want to say how much I enjoy Whit Johnson’s delivery of the news. He keeps bias out of his voice and doesn’t repeat what has already been shown.”

A second posted: “Feels like David quit on us the past six days.”

Yet a third speculated: “Wouldn’t be shocked if ABC is grooming Whit to take David’s job sometime soon.”

A fourth stated: “He’s probably on vacation. He’ll be back next week.”

    WEEKEND TEAM

Whit usually fills his weekend alongside the weekend team at GMA.

The current GMA weekend panel includes Janai Norman, Eva Pilgrim and Whit.

When Janai made her debut on her ABC show, viewers claimed they noticed a spark of tension between the anchors.

During one moment, Whit turned to his co-anchor and said: “This is like the TV equivalent of putting a ring on it.”

His comment was a reference to promising something like an engagement or wedding ring.

Fans slammed Whit’s “rude” comment while praising Janai’s “first day” on the morning show.

One viewer said at the time: “Was that already a rude comment coming from Whit? Come on it’s just her first day!”

“Janai, please tell me you are getting combat pay for working with Whit Johnson!” another chimed in.

    ‘SHE’S FAMILY’

After the July 4th weekend, Whit tweeted: ” Thrilled to officially welcome Janai to the anchor desk for weekend GMA.

“If you’ve been watching, you know Janai’s more than a colleague or friend…she’s family.

“A dedicated and dynamic storyteller overflowing with passion and warmth. So happy for you Janai!”

    JANAI’S LIFE

The 32-year-old anchor is married to her husband Eli Norman and they share two kids.

Janai previously worked in Oklahoma and Florida before landing at ABC in New York City.

Prior to her time at GMA, she worked at Pop News on the weekend and was the overnight anchor for World News Now and America This Morning.

In May 2022, she appeared on the Hulu special, Breaking the Mental Health Stigma for Black Women.

GMA Backstage – Who Will Own GMA’s Most Exclusive Dressing Room: David Muir or George Stephanopoulos?

GOOD Morning America host George Stephanopoulos wants a dressing room as big as rival David Muir’s space, as the two stars move to the new luxury ABC studio.

A source exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the GMA star has been quietly asking around about what his World News Tonight rival’s dressing room looks like in their new ABC studios in downtown New York City.

“George has been interested in making sure he gets whatever David Muir gets,” the insider claimed.

“He’s been asking people on his team to find out what David is getting to make sure his is comparable.”

Another insider, however, claimed there is “no merit” to George inquiring about David’s accommodations in the new studios.

Most of ABC’s news programming will be moving to the new location sometime in 2025, so far only The View has moved downtown.

Meanwhile, the insider said that Robin Roberts, George and Michael Strahan’s old dressing rooms in the uptown studios are currently all about the same size.

“Robin, George and Michael all have their own personal dressing rooms, and they’re all pretty much the same size. They all have a dressing area, they all have a couch, and there are lots of pictures on the walls.

The insider claimed that in the new studios, Robin’s dressing room is rumored to have an ensuite bathroom.

In 2016, George upgraded his dressing room with a design team from Architectural Digest.

The U.S. Sun reached out to reps at ABC for comment.

    ABC SPAT

The feud between George and David has been well documented.

In an in-depth article from 2021, sources told CNN that Disney executive chairman Bob Iger flew across the country from Los Angeles to broker peace between the stars.

The outlet said they spoke to half a dozen sources for their story and that Bob eventually cut a deal with George, giving him a valuable contract extension, while defusing the situation with David.

The tension began over the “chief anchor” title which was coined in 2014

The chief anchor would helm special coverage of breaking news stories as well as special events.

When David took over World News Tonight, there were rumblings George wanted the role, but Disney saw GMA as the main profit center and the company didn’t want to move the latter from his morning slot.

According to the outlet, George continued with his role of chief anchor, while David had quietly signed a new contract in which he would assume the role after the election season ended in 2020.

George felt blindsided when he learned that David would be heading up breaking news and special coverage and felt deceived by ABC News president James Goldston.

After Bob flew out to broker peace with George, the GMA anchor was reportedly given a contract extension and a significant pay bump, along with various other perks, according to CNN.

    MORE DRESSING ROOM DRAMA

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, the new studios and dressing room accommodations have impacted other shows as well.

Whoopi Goldberg over at The View was said to be upset about the dressing room ABC has given her in the new downtown New York City studio.

“It’s so small, and she doesn’t have her own bathroom,” the insider quipped.

Another insider said that the host is used to her larger accommodations at the former studio uptown.

The source said “Whoopi had the biggest dressing room with an ensuite including a shower and full bathroom.”

They added that other than the veteran host that only Joy Behar had her own bathroom, and yet Whoopi’s was still the largest of the dressing rooms.

The second insider added: “She had a large table in her room, so she would hold the morning meetings and all the ladies would have to go to Whoopi’s in the morning.”
