“WONDERFUL NEWS FOR DEV AND BERNIE JANE”: Coronation Street’s Jane Hazelgrove Makes EMOTIONAL Wedding ANNOUNCEMENT

Coronation Street star Jane Hazelgrove – famed for her role as Bernie Winter on the ITV soap – has shared a wedding announcement with fans, telling them to “save the date”. The actress, 57, joined Corrie in 2019 as mum to twins Gemma and Paul before making contact with her long-lost son Kit.
Now, however, her character is set to tie the knot with her on-screen beau Dev Alahan after years of on-and-off dating. Jane shared the happy news to her Instagram feed that the wedding will take place tomorrow (August 6) with a sweet placard denoting the order of service. It read: “Welcome to the wedding of Bernie and Dev. Viaduct Bistro. Wednesday 6th August 2025.”

Jane wrote in her caption: “Save the date! A true love story #Bervendra.” Fans quickly rushed to support her in the comments, with one writing: “Can’t wait for this, so excited!”
Another echoed: “This is wonderful for Dev and Bernie Jane.” And somebody else penned: “So looking forward to your wedding!”
Jane also shared behind-the-scenes snaps from the couple’s stag and hen dos, with her co-star Gareth Piece admitting he was “having far too much fun” filming as he danced on a pole in the Rovers.
Away from the cobbles, however, Jane’s love life is a lot different. She is married to Emmerdale actress Isobel Middleton, with the pair officially tying the knot in 2015.

Speaking to The Mirror, Jane admitted: “I love a wedding, but I never thought that I’d actually get to have my own big party, full of all the people that I love and lots of laughter.
“It was a beautiful thing and a bit of a shock. I still can’t believe it and I’m so proud that we’ve done it and I’m so proud of my love for Isobel. It’s my greatest achievement, regardless of the career.”
She added: “I just can’t believe that I’m allowed to love this woman and live the life that I live without being persecuted and hounded. Yes, you still meet homophobia every day, but I just smile at the homophobes and try to educate them and lead from the front.”
