This Morning host Josie Gibson shares full extent of holiday horror accident: ‘The pain is excruciating’
After she shared a worrying update from hospital earlier this week
This Morning host Josie Gibson has revealed the full extent of the “excruciating” injury that “ruined her holiday”.
Josie, who posted a concerning snap from the hospital earlier this week, is hosting This Morning alongside Alison Hammond today (February 28).
And, hobbling onto set on a pair of crutches, she told host Alison Hammond what happened.

On Wednesday (February 26), This Morning star Josie sparked concern as she shared a picture from the hospital on her socials.
It displayed directions to the Fracture & Orthopaedic Clinic and Trauma Assessment Unit. In the overlay text, she wrote: “You couldn’t even make it up”, without revealing further details.

Josie Gibson’s ‘holiday disaster’
The presenter told Alison that, over half term, she booked a trip to Dubai with son Reggie. However, disaster struck on the second day of the trip.
“You could not even make it up. I had a holiday disaster,” she said.
“So, the second day of the holiday, I’ve always wanted to take my little one to Dubai, so we went to Dubai for half-term. Second day of the holiday I was brushing my teeth and the vanity unit came down on my foot.”
Pictures of the debris then flashed up on screen.
“See that crack,” Josie said, “that cracked over my foot.” She then added: “I spent the whole holiday in bed with my leg in the air. It totally ruined my holiday. In a wheelchair with my six year old, trying to build sandcastles with him.”

She then revealed that she’d been to the hospital in Dubai and when she headed back home.
“So in Dubai they said I fractured it, then when I came home they said soft tissue trauma. All I know is when I stand up and the blood rushes to it, the pain is excruciating.”
Alison then apologised for knocking Josie’s foot when she came into work. “I didn’t realise it was that big, the boot’s massive,” Alison said.
“And it’s so sexy isn’t it,” Josie added, before Alison brought in a motorised wheelchair for her pal to use.
