The Dog House star Elisha Duffy’s life off-screen – red carpet glam to acting career

Elisha Duffy has become a familiar face on TV. Best known as the sunny and charismatic receptionist at Woodgreen Pets Charity, aka the home of Channel 4’s The Dog House, the 29-year-old has become a key cast member and a fan favourite on the show.
Elisha, who hails from Manchester, has appeared on the lighthearted docu-series since 2019, but when she’s not filming, the trained performer continues to work towards a career in acting, and she’s also been spotted on the red carpet, too.

Elisha, who has modelled in the past, has appeared in commercials and short films in the past. According to her Mandy profile, the TV star has bagged background roles in shows including Brassic and Coronation Street, and she’s also taken to the stage, appearing in pantomimes. Just last year, Elisha appeared in a Christmas pantomime production of Beauty & the Beast.
Prior to joining The Dog House in 2019, Elisha had previously worked on the door at her local Nando’s restaurant, but after applying for the programme and auditioning with a self-tape, the star, who’s based in Wigan, landed the job.

Boasting 11k followers on Instagram and 35k on TikTok, Elisha often posts about The Dog House, and, in 2022, attended the BAFTAs when the show was nominated for an award. Reflecting on the moment in 2023, the Channel 4 favourite shared a red carpet snap. “Still can’t believe this time last year I would have been at the Baftas, genuinely [the] best day of my life to date,” she wrote in the caption.
In a more recent post shared in May, Elisha gave fans of The Dog House a fresh update on Instagram. Revealing that she and the rest of the cast had been busy shooting new episodes, Elisha wrote, “Over and out,” alongside a group photo.
