Ryan Seacrest has become an uncle for the first time.

The 43-year-old teared up on Tuesday’s Live With Kelly & Ryan as he announced the arrival of his new niece Flora.

‘First little baby Seacrest in the family!’ the host excitedly declared, showing a picture of the his sister Meredith with the tiny tot. ‘She had the baby six minutes after we got off the air.’

‘Her name is Flora Marie, that’s the happy family… I can’t even look at it it makes me cry.’

Indeed when Ryan tried to read a group text from his brother-in-law Jimmy, he couldn’t even get through it.

‘I’m so proud of Momma Mer today, she was so strong, and our daughter Flora is absolutely beautiful… I’m so proud to be her father…’ Ryan read as his voice cracked.

‘That’s the part that got me… I can’t do it,’ he sobbed, handing the paper to co-host Kelly Ripa to finish reading.

‘It was so special seeing her meet all of her grandparents today; next it will be her uncle Ryan,’ Kelly continued, smiling.

‘Now watching Mer complete her first feeding, an amazing life-changing day, love you all.’

Ryan later wrote on Instagram: ‘Yesterday was a big day for the Seacrest fam…8 pounds big. My sis had her baby! Can’t wait to finally meet my niece: Flora Marie :)’

There seem to be no kids on the horizon yet for Ryan himself, who is currently dating 26-year-old Shayna Taylor.

The Atlanta native and Shayna dated a few years ago before rekindling their romance in 2017.

‘I’ve never been engaged,’ he told Ripa back in May. ‘I love the idea of marriage because my parents have been married for 47 years. The truth is I don’t want to screw it up.’
