Coronation Street aired a shocking twist this evening as Mick Michaelis attacked his latest victim ahead of the villain’s huge exit from the ITV soap later this year

Coronation Street’s latest additions Mick Michaelis and his wife Lou have caused quite a stir since their arrival. The pair soon became firm friends with Chesney and Gemma but it was clear they were hiding something.

In tonight’s shocking episode, Sean is attacked by Mick and left for d3ad. In harrowing scenes, Sean was beaten up and he later got in touch with Dylan to say he was ok, describing it as a “few scratches”.

Sean managed to make his way to the Cobbles when Theo found him. He sat him down and called an ambulance for Sean, who was rushed to hospital where PC Tinker arrived to take a statement.

Later, Daniel revealed to Dylan what had happened and he quickly got in touch with his dad. “They got me from behind so I didn’t see it, probably some junkie,” he told Dylan before adding, “Listen, can you call me back later? Everything all right though, Brody hasn’t tried anything?,” as Dylan said he was keeping away from him.

In a huge DNA twist, Lou also revealed that Brody was her son and Sean overheard. Craig later showed up at the house to take Mick down to the police station to ask him some questions about what happened.

When Mick returned to the Cobbles, he found Gemma and warned her not to say anything about where he was. Could Gemma be the next person to be attacked by Mick and is she in danger?

Sources recently revealed that Mick will exit the show in the summer as part of a huge new storyline for the villain.

“There is no shock exit, Joe knew from the start how long he would be on the show for. His contract length was revealed to him the moment he joined so this isn’t a surprise to him or Corrie bosses,” a source told us.

“Mick entered the show for a specific storyline which will continue to unfold until his final scenes air later this year. There’s plenty of twists ahead with a lot more story to come before Mick leaves the show in scenes that will air in late July.”

A separate soap source added there was huge drama ahead in the coming weeks.

“Mick is explosive and can be the catalyst for so many twists and turns. Corrie are staying quiet on exact details for now, but fans can expect edge-on-their-seat drama and plenty of chaos on the way,” the insider said.

“Mick might only be here for a short time not a long time, but his scenes are certainly not short on carnage and drama. He certainly makes his mark across Weatherfield with big stuff on the way before his summer exit.”

When they arrived, it was teased that the pair had a link and previous connection to police detective Kit Green and will expose more about what he’s been hiding and his dark past.
