SH0CKING: Tess Daly in surprise Vernon Kay ‘split update’ after b0mbshell announcement
The Strictly star appears to have removed her wedding ring.

Tess Daly is moving on from Vernon Kay, three months after confirming their separation. Returning to Instagram on Monday, the Strictly star celebrated her latest photoshoot for swimwear brand Naia Beach, with a selection of behind-the-scenes snaps. “Back in the sunshine, but this time a little closer to home. Shooting some of our @naia_beach swimwear on the lovely Erin,” she penned in the caption.
Racing to the comments, fans quickly pointed out that Tess had removed her wedding band from her left hand. “Noticed she has removed her wedding ring,” wrote one. “The wedding ring’s off,” declared another.
Following their nuptials in 2003, Tess has been photographed on multiple occasions with both her engagement ring, and her platinum wedding band. It looks as though the presenter might have switched her wedding ring to her right hand, though the picture isn’t clear enough to confirm.
Married for 22 years, Tess and Vernon confirmed their decision to split in May. Issuing a joint statement, they said: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.
“This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.”
Tess and Vernon concluded: “We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time. We will not be making any further public comments.”
Following the announcement, the duo have clearly remained on friendly terms, with Vernon publicly supporting Tess’ swimwear brand by liking and commenting on Instagram. They also continue to co-parent their two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 17.
In an exciting new development for the family, Tess and Phoebe recently confirmed that they’d teamed up on a mysterious project. Sharing the news on Instagram this month, the presenter was seen posing alongside her eldest. “No longer bring your daughter to work day, but working alongside her,” she quipped in the caption.

While it’s unknown what they’ve been working on, Phoebe – who is currently studying acting in New York – is no stranger to the world of show business. Aside from watching her parents lead major TV and radio shows, the 21-year-old previously landed a background role in ITV’s The Blame last year, and she’s also appeared alongside her parents at major high-profile events, including red carpet premieres.
Most recently, Phoebe accompanied her mum to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in July. Putting on a stylish display, the 21-year-old opted for an elegant midi dress in mint-green, while Tess donned a multi-coloured pastel maxi.
