‘Today’ Viewers Left STUNNED As Dylan Dreyer’s Replacement Makes Surprise Debut – Unexpected New Face Has Fans Talking NONSTOP

The regular co-anchors of Today were recently absent from the show, with Craig Melvin surrounded by a new team. During this time, however, fans also took a shine to one of these replacement hosts. Dreyer’s replacement also made an impression, complete with a share on social media.

Fans Saw A Different Team During Recent Episodes Of Today

Dreyer is known for working as a meteorologist and as an anchor for the third hour of Today. She had previously joined NBC News back in 2012.

Over the years, Dreyer has hosted a variety of events for the network, from the 2018 Winter Olympics to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. In addition, she is also known for hosting Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer for the network.

Recently, however, Dreyer and a few of her Today co-stars were absent from this show, including Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie. As previously reported, they are on assignment outside of Today’s regular studio. Dreyer and Roker could be seen recording in Alaska, with Guthrie recently appearing at Cannes Lions 2025.

In the interim, other faces are filling in for them on the show. Laura Jarrett is filling in for Guthrie and Angie Lassman took over for Dreyer.

A Few Fans Also Had Some Compliments For The Interim Today Hosts

Lassman is known for appearing on Today‘s Saturday edition, alongside Peter Alexander and Laura Jarrett. She has previously appeared as a fill-in for both Dreyer and Roker on the show.

Lassman celebrated her most recent time as Dreyer’s replacement with a share on social media. In an accompanying photo, Lassman could be seen in a striking yellow dress, enjoying drinks with Melvin and Jarrett, who also both shared the photo. As Lassman wrote in the caption, “From scripts to spritz in 30 seconds flat.”
