HEARTBREAKING REVEAL Kelly Clarkson BREAKS SILENCE And REVEALS The DEEPLY PERSONAL Truth Behind Her SHOCKING Decision To STOP Touring That Fans Never Expected
Seeing Kelly Clarkson live is high up on our bucket list. The American Idol champ has a voice unlike any other and often proves on her talk show that she can make any song sound like her own. Despite her popularity and upcoming album release, Kelly just revealed that she won’t be touring anytime soon and we’re honestly bummed.
During a recent concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the “Because of You” singer and television host explained the real reason why she hasn’t been hitting the road. “We haven’t done a show in a while, y’all, ’cause I have a talk show,” she said according to Page Six. “It’s like a whole other job.”

In addition to the demanding schedule of her award-winning talk show, the 43-year-old is also prioritizing being a single mom to her two kids, River and Remington. “We are bummed ’cause we love doing shows, and it’s hard to fit it in, so it’s cool when it does work out with the schedule. And it’s cool to get to see your faces and feed off y’all,” she told the Atlantic City audience. “Thank you so much for having so much energy.”
To say that the pop star has been busy would be an understatement. For reference, Kelly hasn’t done a full tour since 2019 and her latest show in New Jersey marked her first full-length concert since last November! But luckily for us, that doesn’t mean she’s given up performing altogether. In the past few years, Kelly has done Las Vegas residencies and recently announced a new Vegas residency at the beginning of the year. The show opens July 4 and runs through November, giving fans plenty of time to see Kelly live (if you’re in Vegas, of course).
With so much going for her, including a brand new song called “Where Have You Been” and The Kelly Clarkson Show going into its seventh season, Kelly is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Although, she won’t be hitting the road for a full tour, we can still get our weekly dose of the American Idol champ on television … or in Las Vegas if anyone wants to buy us a ticket!
