“Outrageous!”: Royal fans share opinion on Meghan Markle’s recent major news

Meghan Markle has recently shared an exciting update about her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. The 44-year-old released the first series of her lifestyle and cooking show last April, with the second series being released in August 2025.
The show also saw a Christmas-themed singular episode released last December. Taking to her Instagram account earlier this week, just days after her shock return to the UK, Meghan shared that her show had been nominated for an Emmy award.
She shared, alongside a poster from the series: “A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on ‘With Love, Meghan’ on @netflix.”
She also added the type of award, adding: “We are nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Series!”
In a poll conducted by the Daily Express, which ran between 4.20pm on July 15 and 8.10am on July 18, 3,087 people made their vote known – with a staggering number of people voting against the award.
Asked Meghan’s show should win the award, 2,998 people voted that it should not win the award.
In the results, just 58 people voted that it should win, whereas an additional 31 people voted that they were unsure.
One fan took to the comment section, writing: “There’s a very simple 3-word answer to this question… Don’t Be Riciculous.”
Many commentators also speculated that Meghan may have paid for the nomination herself, with one adding: “An Emmy what for, least watched programme, how much did the nomination cost her?”
Another added: “No doubt the nomination has been bought. The show was a disaster from the beginning.”
