BREAKING NEWS: GB News issues SH0CKING ‘breaking news’ ANNOUNCEMENT as fans rage ‘DISGRACEFUL!’.K

GB News viewers rushed to complain as an urgent ‘breaking news’ announcement left them furious

GB News viewers were left seething after the programme issued a “breaking” update. Presenters Tom Harwood and Emily Carver announced that Tower Hamlets Council has vowed to remove St George’s flags from lampposts “as soon as possible”. Harwood told viewers: “A second council has vowed to remove English or British flags that have been attached to lamposts by patriotism campaigners.” Carver continued: “Tower Hamlets in East London said it would take down the St George’s flags as soon as possible.”

This comes after police made six arrests following a protest outside a London hotel housing asylum seekers. Gathering outside the Britannia International Hotel in Canary Wharf on Sunday afternoon, Pink Ladies demonstrators set off pink flares while others waved England flags. One protester carried a banner which said: “We’re not far right but we’re not far wrong. Don’t gamble with our lives. Stop the boats.”

Harwood and Carver were joined by Independent journalist Jack Hadfield, who said the Pink Ladies’ aim is to “bring attention to the sexual assaults of women in the community”.

The announcement angered viewers as they flocked to social media to voice their complaints. “Disgraceful Council,” declared one person.

Another asked: “Will they be as quick to remove illegal advertising boards , stickers, signs from the highway including make shift shelves outside shops selling goods .The highway is generally one side of the road to the other and all these things are illegal. What’s good for one.”

A third claimed: “This country is a f*****g joke.”

At the protest, the Metropolitan Police arrested six people for breaching Section 14 Public Order conditions, possession of Class B drugs, and assaulting an emergency worker.

In a post on X, the Metropolitan Police said: “We have imposed conditions using Section 14 of the Public Order Act to prevent serious disruption at the protests in Canary Wharf.

“The group protesting against the use of the hotel by asylum seekers have been instructed to remain on the pavement opposite the Britannia Hotel.”

Another protest was held outside The Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, which is also being used to house asylum seekers. Essex Police said the protest in Epping was “peaceful” and no arrests were made.
