Kobe Bryant, the legendary NBA player who died in a helicopter crash along with his daughter, was an inspiration to players around the world, not only in the NBA but in other sports as well. His memory still brings tears to the eyes of many. However, a recent disrespectful incident in China has upset Bryant’s fans.
According to a recent post on TMZ Sports, an unidentified man wore a costume depicting Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crash during a Comic Con event in China.
The unknown man in Hangzhou created a model of a crashed helicopter using bottles and cardboard. He was also wearing Kobe Bryant’s number 24 Los Angeles Lakers jersey and a face mask. Onlookers appeared unfazed as they watched the man, and no one seemed angered by his actions. However, NBA fans worldwide were shocked by the incident and had varying reactions to it.
Kobe Bryant’s fans became upset after viewing the video
One fan said, “I’m more upset about the month, bro, not a meme, sorry, #ripkode.”
A second fan expressed anger, stating, “Nothing is funny about any of the women, men, or children that lost their lives in that helicopter crash. I have nothing else to say that would be remotely positive regarding this.”
A third fan reacted, “People will do anything for attention. There’s no class anymore.”

Meanwhile, a fourth fan wrote, “Y’all will learn that most Chinese people are racist towards black people. Watch the interviews for the first Black Panthers movie when it was released in China.”
Bryant was one of the most beloved players in the NBA. He spent 20 years of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers and won 5 NBA championships. He was the NBA MVP of the 2008 season and also earned the NBA Finals MVP award two times. Due to his “Mamba Mentality,” he is often considered one of the greatest players of all time. Recently, James Harden shared that Bryant was his pick for the greatest of all time, and he stated that his love for basketball began because of Bryant.
