Mario Lopez appeared on Today on Tuesday to talk about fatherhood, his Christmas traditions, and his new projects.
He was on the Third Hour with Al, 69, Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, 44, and Dylan, 42.
After discussing his Walk of Fame star, the hosts moved on to talk about Mario’s time on Saved by the Bell.
“Did you think you’d still be talking about Saved by the Bell?” Al asked.
“35 years later,” Sheinelle, 45, interjected.
“I couldn’t believe that because it was a show for little kids,” Mario, 50, told them.
“So I never thought that.”
DYLAN’S ADMISSION
“I was one of them,” Dylan admitted.
“Right,” Mario laughed.
“I don’t know if I-. No, I can’t do it, but I had a whole dance to the opening theme song,” Dylan told Mario.
“Well, what’s up? Let’s see the dance,” the actor exclaimed.
“Let’s see the choreo!”
“Oh no. I was jumping over couches,” Dylan told him. “I was a lonely child.”
“There was a whole thing.”
‘COME ON!’
Al said: “You have to remember parents were watching with their kids.”
He then stopped and pointed out to Dylan that the theme song was playing in the studio.
“Come on! Come on! Come on!” Al encouraged Dylan to dance.
“I don’t really-,” she said.
“Here’s your chance to dance with Mario Lopez,” Al said.
“Please,” Dylan said, as she threw her papers at Al furiously.
Mario promised her next time as Sheinelle laughed.
Craig, 44, apologized to Mario for the chaos in the studio.
As he gave the outro, Al said: “One more chance.”
“I love Al,” Mario said, as he patted Dylan on the back. “Next time.”
