Meghan Markle ‘concerned’ Prince William
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, royal biographer Phil Dampier has claimed that Meghan saw Prince Harry as a “stepping stone”.
He alleged that the late Queen Elizabeth believed that Harry was being “manipulated” by Meghan in the lead-up to their marriage. This allegation was made to the author by Lady Elizabeth Anson, a confidante and cousin of the late queen.
“I think, unfortunately, that confirms what I’ve been saying or thought for the last few years that, sadly, Meghan never really had any intention of staying in the royal family,” he then said.
“She saw as a stepping stone getting married to to Harry to to to new fame and fortune,” he then continued.
He then added: “And I think that’s what initially Prince William was concerned about. And that’s why they fell out. And now we are where we are. But to have this confirmed by somebody so close to the Queen is really dynamite.”
Royal Insider has contacted Kensington Palace and the Sussexes representatives for comment.

Queen branded Harry and Meghan a ‘catastrophe’
A month or so before her passing, the late Queen Elizabeth reportedly hit out at Harry and Meghan, branding them a “catastrophe”.
A source alleged: “At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch. She explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe.
“…By this point, we all knew the Queen’s health was in decline and she had months left. She seemed regretful about how things had panned out. But she saw straight through her,” they then continued.
“It was a startling sentence to hear from the most forgiving woman on Earth,” they then added.

Queen was ‘betrayed’ by Oprah interview
Back in 2021, Meghan and Harry sat down for their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey.
One of the allegations made in the interview was that there was “concern” by some royal family members “how dark” Archie’s skin colour would be.
Speaking to the Daily Beast, a source said that the queen was “dismayed” by the allegations.
“To accuse an unidentified person within the family of racism, thereby casting the shadow of suspicion over everyone, was unforgivable in her eyes. That was what ultimately prompted her to issue the ‘recollections may vary’ statement. Things were never the same after that … It was a horrific series of betrayals at the end of her life,” the source said.
Another source said: “You have to remember, the queen was seriously ill for several years with bone cancer. She knew she was dying, she could hardly see, she could hardly stand, she could hardly move. And then she was completely let down by her grandson. It was utterly devastating for her.”
