Buckingham Palace Makes Ruthless Move As Harry And Meghan’s ‘Peace Plan’ Unravels
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported attempts to communicate with Buckingham Palace are facing a major obstacle, with a royal commentator claiming some of their messages are simply being ignored.
Journalist Charlotte Griffiths discussed the Sussexes’ alleged contact with King Charles’ team during an appearance on Peter Cardwell’s TalkTV programme.
According to Griffiths, communication remains limited and appears to be driven largely by Harry and Meghan rather than the Palace.
She claimed royal officials receive more emails, messages and letters from the couple’s team than they choose to answer.
Palace Said to Be ‘Incredibly Guarded’
Griffiths suggested there is currently little regular contact between the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace.
“We’re talking like the odd email exchange, the odd phone call here and there,” she said.
The journalist claimed she had spoken to various people connected with the Palace who were extremely cautious when discussing Harry and Meghan.
“Because I’ve spoken to the various people in the palace, and they are incredibly guarded,” she said.
According to Griffiths, those contacts told her that communications from the Sussexes frequently go unanswered.
“They said they receive more messages and emails and letters from Harry and Meghan than they respond to,” she claimed.
She added that Palace figures sometimes “just completely ignore messages and emails from their team”.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for Harry and Meghan are quoted in the report confirming that account.
Claims Sussexes Are Keeping Communication Records
Griffiths also addressed allegations that Harry and Meghan may be keeping detailed records of their exchanges with the Palace.
She said the suggestion reminded her of rumours that circulated while the couple were still living in Britain and carrying out duties as senior members of the Royal Family.
“This sounds familiar because when Meghan and Harry were part of the British royal family and living in the UK, there was this persistent rumour that Meghan was keeping a very detailed record of every single interaction,” she said.
Griffiths claimed courtiers had allegedly been concerned about such records.
She said there was a belief among some Palace figures that Meghan might use them as “some sort of threat”.
That allegation was described by Griffiths as a past rumour and has not been established as fact.
She nevertheless added: “So that would sound about right if she’s doing it again.”
‘Not a Lot of Interaction Happening’
Griffiths suggested that maintaining a detailed record of current communication might not involve much material because, in her telling, there is relatively little interaction taking place.
Her account portrays the Sussexes as making most of the approaches while the Palace remains cautious about responding.
The reported pattern would suggest that any reconciliation effort is still at an uncertain stage rather than representing a major breakthrough.
There has been considerable speculation about whether Harry’s renewed links with Britain could help improve relations with members of the Royal Family.
However, Griffiths’ remarks indicate that communication behind the scenes may remain sporadic.
Reconciliation Still Unclear
Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020, and their relationship with the Royal Household has since been the subject of intense public scrutiny.
Reports of possible reconciliation have continued to emerge, particularly around Harry’s efforts to rebuild family connections.
But the latest claims suggest that communication alone should not be taken as evidence that those relationships have substantially improved.
Griffiths’ account remains her description of what Palace contacts allegedly told her, rather than an official statement from King Charles’ team.
For now, the clearest picture offered by the report is of an uneven exchange: Harry and Meghan are said to be reaching out more frequently, while some of those approaches allegedly receive no reply at all.
