Singer and songwriter Rachel Platten had the honor of performing the National Anthem ahead of the ‘Monday Night Football’ Wild Card showdown between NFC’s Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams.
With L.A. being ravaged by wildfires at the moment, the game is being held in Arizona. As you might imagine, anyone associated with the former is going through it right now, given the damage caused and the rising death toll.
Platten seemed pretty emotional after her performance, appearing to cry. Social media didn’t buy it, though.
“Rachel Platten should not do the National Anthem again and that dramatic cry in the camera….give me a break,” a user declared.
“Fake crying after singing the anthem 😂,” another laughed.
“Rachel Platten fake crying after the national anthem was comedy,” said a third.
“That white lady singing the national anthem fake crying on national TV 😂😂😂 man come on now,” someone else chimed in.
“Did that lady just start fake crying after singing the National Anthem?” a fan asked.
“FAKE TEARS FROM RACHEL PLATTEN SHES NOT EVEN FROM LA SHE GREW UP IN NEWTON MASS,” a comment read.
Who Is Rachel Platten?
As mentioned above, Rachel Platten is a singer and songwriter. She’s also known as an author and philanthropist.
The New York native released the hit single “Fight Song” in 2015. The track peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., topped the charts in the UK, and reached the top 10 in multiple countries.

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s basketball. Her outstanding achievements and dominant performances on the court have boosted her confidence in her skills. However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.
In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.
“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.
Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.
