Coronation Street fans can expect multiple secrets and mysteries possibly unravelling in the week before Christmas on the ITV soap, with characters including Gail Platt taking centre stage

There’s plenty of festive and the usual drama on Coronation Street ahead of Christmas in Weatherfield.
New spoilers tease what happens in the episodes airing the week before Christmas Day. We are seeing some of ITV soap icon Gail Platt’s final scenes on the show ahead of her Christmas Day departure.
There’s also concerning scenes for one new mum with a devastating diagnosis teased, while another character continues to hide their pregnancy. One character could be forced to come clean about their involvement in a crime, while there’s also other residents struggling to hide their secrets.
One secret couple could find their romance exposed, while there’s still questions regarding a recent death. Also, one character takes action against their mystery harasser – but is all as it seems?
Lauren Bolton is un turmoil after her baby son Frankie is taken to hospital with tests done. Lauren tells partner Max Turner something sinister is going on due to the results, and later in the week there is a diagnosis.
Residents learn that baby Frankie needs a donor as doctors begin looking for one, leaving Dee-Dee Bailey struggling with whether to conform her pregnancy news. Joel Deering is the father of Dee-Dee’s unborn child, and he’s also the father of Frankie. Dee-Dee wonders whether her child would be a donor match, so will she reveal all?

Meanwhile, it seems Daisy Midgeley is hiding something, as she overhears Debbie Webster accusing someone over her stolen car. She’s left feeling guilty and soon she tells Shona Platt she knows about her hit-and-run injuries – so does Daisy have something to confess, and will Shona work it out?
Meanwhile her new potential romance with Kit Green could hit trouble a he’s spotted kissing someone. Meanwhile there’s another character accused of being up to no good, as David Platt fears wife Shona could be cheating on him with none other than his former brother-in-law Adam Barlow.
But amid the threat there’s concern for soap icon Audrey Roberts who appears to be unwell, with Gail desperate to race her mother to hospital. All is not as it seems though, but will Gail realise amid her new wedding plans?
David’s got more trouble ahead too, as the Radcliffe brothers find out he’s the one who stole Damon Hay and Harvey Gaskell’s hidden cash. When the brothers appear to threaten his gran Audrey, how far will they go?
When Gail’s fiancé Jesse asks David to collect the wedding rings, he’s stunned when David returns with a black eye and a split lip. It appears David has been mugged but when Jesse later reveals he’s tracked down the original wedding rings to a shop, is the game up for David?
Elsewhere, Carla Connor and Lisa Swain are continuing to enjoy their new romance in secret, keeping things under wraps. A comment by Carla could leave Lisa upset though, and things only get worse when Lisa gets jealous over Carla’s meeting with a client.
Things are soon back on track though and as Lisa emerges into the living room in her dressing gown, she’s stunned as Kirk and Fiz are there with Bobby. Has their romance been revealed?
Les Battersby’s recent death is causing more drama too, as the company where he worked up their compensation payout offer but demand and NDA is signed. When Gemma Winter returns after weeks away she’s shocked her husband Chesney Brown, Les’ stepson, has yet to tell her and begs him to accept the payout amid their financial woes.
The mystery van storyline continues for Chesney too next week as he ends up tracking them down and taking action. But will we finally realise who they are and what they want?
Lastly, Leanne Battersby continues to target her sister Toyah in upcoming episodes as her revenge plan, over Toyah’s affair with her husband Nick Tilsley, becomes clear. Leanne makes multiple payments from the bistro’s account into Toyah’s fake account she has set up – but how far will she go?
