Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher has thrilled his followers with an update on his latest ventures.
Loyal viewers of Emmerdale will recall Kelvin, 40, portrayed the beloved Andy Sugden on the ITV soap from 1996 to 2016. After quitting the soap in 2016, Kelvin went on to star in Strictly Come Dancing and lifted the Glitterball Trophy with his professional dance partner, Oti Mabuse in 2019.
In recent times, he’s been relishing farm life with his family on their reality TV series, Fletchers’ Family Farm and the show has resonated well with viewers.
This Christmas they are making a return to our TV screens as ITV is set to broadcast a festive special featuring Kelvin and his Family. A spokesperson shared: “Kelvin, (his wife) Liz and the family are back for a seasonal special where they venture to Finland and visit another family farm thriving in the harsh conditions of the Arctic Circle.”
They added: “It’s not all work, though, as the Fletchers dive into the magic of a Nordic winter by enjoying traditional activities and meeting the animals that flourish in this frosty wilderness to make their Finnish adventure – one the family will never forget.”,
It comes as Kelvin previously opened up on the ‘honest’ struggles of swapping Emmerdale for farming.
Kelvin and his wife packed their belongings and made the move to the Peak District during lockdown, along with their two kids, Marnie and son Milo.
At the time, the actor recorded himself talking about his excitement for his BBC show on Instagram. He admitted that while he had minimal knowledge on running a farm, he’s made a “relative smooth success of things” so far.
“A week today, our show Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure comes out,” he gushed.
“We can’t wait for you to see it. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the show. it’ll be informative, it’ll be exciting, it’ll be entertaining and it’ll be honest.”
Kelvin went on to say that he hopes the show will be an accurate representation of the obstacles he and his wife, Liz Marsland, have had to face as new farmers.
And though it hasn’t been an easy ride, he believes there’s been a vast amount of progress in the short amount of time they’ve been working on their enormous farmland.
He continued: “Knowledge obviously very limited but with a great sense of belief and togetherness, you know, so far so good. We’re making a relatively smooth success.”
He concluded his Instagram Story, saying: “A few struggles along the way, but absolutely loving it, and it’s absolutely a way of life.”
