Spagnuolo has been defensive coordinator with the reigning Super Bowl champions since 2019.

The 65-year-old has helped Coach Reid create a dynasty at Arrowhead, with the team on course for a historic three-peat.

Both the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders have requested to interview Spagnuolo, per the NFL Network.

The Jets have also talked with Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy as they look for a long-term replacement to Robert Saleh.

Saleh parted ways with the organization after leading New York to a 2-3 start to the 2024 season.

Things didn’t get much better under interim coach Jeff Ulbrich, with the Jets 3-9 under his guidance.

Nagy has been the Chiefs’ OC for the past two seasons.

He also held the same position for a two-year stint between 2016 and 2017.

The Raiders meanwhile fired Antonio Pierce after they finished bottom of the AFC West.

“Antonio grew up a Raiders fan and his Silver and Black roots run deep,” the team said in a statement.

“We are grateful for his ability to reignite what it means to be a Raider throughout the entire organization.”

The franchise is reportedly looking for a quick hire and has already requested an interview from Spagnuolo.

Prior to the Chiefs’ Week 17 loss to the Denver Broncos, Spagnuolo admitted he had his eyes set on a head coach role.

Asked if he would like an HC position in the future, he replied: “I’ll deal with that later. The answer is yes.”

Spagnuolo was the St. Louis Rams’ head coach from 2009 to 2011.

He experienced a brutal 1-15 season in his first year, then 7-9 in the second campaign.

But the third and final year ended with a 2-14 record before being fired.

Spagnuolo was also the interim head coach for the New York Giants in 2017.
